Debra made a white chocolate cake with italian meringue buttercreme frosting for my wedding in Duck, NC. She was patient as I decided on a flavor and design. It was so easy working with her and the finished product was amazing. I provided a picture of the design I wanted via email and provided ribbon and fresh flowers for the design. Debra did the rest! The cake looked exactly like the design I sent her and tasted fantastic. Guests at my wedding were eating multiple slices of cake because it was so wonderful. Thank you to Debra for this fabulous cake and wonderful experience!

YUM! This cake was absolutely delicious!!! We were unable to make the cake testing when we were doing our planning weekend due to a family emergency so we had to cross our fingers that the flavors they reccomended would be delicious. Were they ever!!!! We had the Key Lime, Chocolate Eclair and White Chocolate Raspberry and they were all amazingly delicious!!! Everyone loved the cake and we had plenty left over to munch on the rest of the week. They were on time and the set up was gorgeous. I could not have imagined a better cake!

I called a few days before arriving in the Outer Banks to get a cake...because our baker was unable to take care of it as planned. This was the most amazing and absolutely delicious wedding cake I have ever, ever had, bar none! It was Key Lime White Chocolate and we just bought the top tier (10" round)...with the white chocolate shells on top as usual, and lighthouses around the sides. They were going to deliver it to the Inn at Corolla Light, but since we had to go through on our way, we picked it up. The owner of Argyle's was so sweet and personable. He offered to do brunch for us the next day, if we wanted, and invited us back for a small party whenever we liked. All we need do is call and let him know what we would like to have, and he would make sure it was put together. I am so looking forward to going back. I tried to order the same cake for our one-month anniversary, but they don't ship, and Wake Forest is too far to go pick it up. I tried to make some semblance of it with no success at all. Icing on the Cakes, a subsidiary of Argyles, provided us with some fantastic cupcakes for our Halloween-themed wedding. Debra was awesome to work with and did a fantastic job creating delicious cupcakes in many flavors and fillings. She went the extra mile to add little Halloween-esque notions on top of them...bats, black cats, witch hats and spiders. There wasn't a single cupcake left by the end of the event!! As cupcakes are becoming more popular for weddings, and it was hard to find an OBX vendor that would do cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake, your best bet is Icing on the Cakes!!

We used Argyles for our catering, alcohol, cake and most of our rentals. In the end, they did an AMAZING JOB. Since our venue doesn't have an onsite kitchen, they brought everything they needed and were well prepared. They were professional all the way. Debra and her Daughter, Ashley are awesome. My wedding guests raved about the cake!! The best we've ever tasted! COCONUT SHRIMP = HEAVEN! :) They made my wedding perfect...

They had great cake at an amazing price. I had a general idea of what I wanted and they did an outstanding job of transforming it into our wedding cake. So many of our guests said it was the best cake they had ever had

Everyone has good food!! It was Debra's experience in the OBX catering business that made her stand out in the crowd. Two weeks before our wedding, Hurricane Irene washed out the road to Hatteras Island. We learned it would be impossible to get married at our planned event home, The Love Boat. We found ourselves in a last minute scramble to find a place to get married. Talk about stress!!! Debra also had to evacuate during the hurricane, but she still answered her cell phone on her way back home to help me re-locate my wedding!! She immediately went online and emailed me links to event homes that would work for our wedding. With her help we were able to easily relocate our wedding to Corolla... And we absolutely loved the house! She was our caterer, not a wedding planner... But for a short time, she served as both!!The service on our wedding day was very good... However, I didn't get a chance to try all of the food. We were too busy running around! I did love the Coconut Shrimp and artichoke pasta.

They were really great to work with in all honestly, however the food was average. The cake though was AMAZING. It came free with the cost of the catering meal we ordered and they designed it exactly the way I wanted. I sent them an 'inspiration photo' about 6 months beforehand and the cake looked nearly identical. It was perfect and it was VERY delicious. They have tons of different flavors for cake, so no matter where you get your catering from, get your cake from Argyle's! We had chocolate cake with cannoli filling - to die for! Best of luck!

We wanted a cake that tasted great, and that's exactly what we got! Everyone raved about the cake (chocolate w/ Kaliua center, w/ dark chocolate buttercream icing). The deserts were fantastic too (canolis, tiramisu cheescake, etc.) everything was great and we felt like we got a pretty good value too.

Argyles was amazing - they managed our catering, wedding cake and all of the necessary rentals (Metro Rentals; http://metrorentalobx.com) on one bill! I would highly recommend this vendor. Plus, everyone loved the food - especially the coconut shrimp. Response time is not the quickest and you'll need to carefully review contract notes to make sure all items are listed. I would definitely use them again!

Food & cake were delicious, our guests raved about the food and we've been eating cake for days now! We did a dessert bar and cake, both which were divine :)Debra/Argyle's is great and easy to work with. She's really knows how to make an event run well and her staff is excellent.Overall, we were very happy and glad we chose her to provide us with an awesome menu for our special day.

The cake was great and arrived on time, but I spent an hour of my wedding day trying to confirm the cake drop off time on site. I spent a week before the wedding also trying to get in touch with them, but they changed their phone number and did not update their website... so I was helpless.

When I joined our local wedding association about 10 years ago, I met P.J. & Debra Sinkage (Argyle's Restaurant and Catering)at the very first meeting I attended. They were not only among the few & first, but also clearly strong & established wedding vendors.We've seen Debra & P.J. in action & up close. We can see that they take their family's business as seriously as we do, working together, bending over backward to please our brides.We watched as a stressed-out bride insisted she ordered a pink cake, NOT the blue cake that was brought. Regardless of the emails Debra had from the bride & the fact that all of her colors were indeed blue, after we came back from a 20 minute ceremony on the beach, there was a gorgeous Pink Cake, instead of the blue!We've seen P.J. tediously carry their beautiful cakes up & down 3 flights of stairs, so our couple could conveniently cut their cake without interrupting the dancing crowd as I DJ-ed.Debra helped one of our brides relocate their wedding after Hurricane Irene & the house she found was absolutely amazing! Even better than the first!Just a few weeks ago, our couple didn't realize they had to set up their own rental tables, so P.J. & Debra stepped up & did everything for them as the ceremony was going on.I have HUGE respect & admiration for Argyle's Restaurant and Catering! We honestly believe that the success of OUR Family business has much to do with the fact that we are in love & have had our own beach wedding experience, so we know how VERY important our part is in anyone's wedding day. We can validate these thoughts when we work with Argyle's. Debra & P.J. know what they are doing & it's so refreshing to work with them. Their food is unique & amazing! I wasn't surprised to learn that they prepare it all themselves because they want to make sure it's perfect! We've watched their business expand into the cakes, followed by their Belgian Chocolates (I craved them for months after our wedding expo when we were neighbors & I got to try all of the flavors!) & their latest addition, Sweet Duck (great place for wedding meetings/after-rehearsal wine, hors d'oeuvres, affordable beautiful jewelry & other bridal party gifts). If you want to keep your worries to a minimum on your wedding day, then we highly recommend using Argyle's Restaurant and Catering. P.J. & Debra are kind, knowledgeable, hard-working & one of the true-gems of local wedding vendors to choose from! Argyle's will make sure they do everything they can for you to have a wonderful wedding day.
