We wanted a fun wedding without the constant chatter of the dj in the background and that's what we got! We loved Rob from the first interview! He listened to us very carefully and was thoughtful, knowledgeable and understanding about the kinds of music that we wanted. He collaborated with us on the music, providing feedback, thoughts and suggestions. The set up was excellent for our needs and he fully understood the sequence of events at the wedding from start to finish. He was also flexible, adjusting the music and responding to requests on the spot, as well as responding to the mood of the room. Our guests (and staff) loved our wedding, and Rob was a major element in making that happen! We can't thank him enough!

Owen was amazing, he made our reception a great party! he played all the right songs and knew when to bring it up and slow it down. He made the night about my husband and I and our friends. He really listened to what we wanted and made it better. He met us a couple times and made wonderful suggestions, not only about the music but about the flow of the night. John was our DJ for our wedding. We had our wedding the Saturday after Hurricane Sandy and John went above and beyond to make sure that he was going to be able to make it to our wedding with all his equipment; and he did! We both had no power the week of the wedding and he STILL made sure he kept me informed.

John of Aria Melody was amazing. Through the whole planning of our wedding, he was nothing but helpful and supportive and didn't put any pressure on us. He coordinated the wedding party to walk down the aisle which he did not need to do but stepped up when he saw there was no direction from other staff. He immediatley got our party going and turned into a all out 5 hour dance party. We had such a good time and his music selections were so relevant and so spot on we added a extra hour when we knew the night was coming to a end. We LOVED working with John, and we recommend him for any style wedding.

Music was such an important part of the wedding for us and John was by far the most easy-going and easy-to-work-with DJ with the best taste in music. Neither of us wanted someone that would make the wedding feel more like a cheesy Sweet16 by constantly talking but rather we wanted someone to feel out our guests and play music to get everyone in the mood for a fun night. John did just that! Everyone commented on his great selections and we had everyone from every age group up and dancing! Owen spun for the dance party we held after our wedding and was absolutely fantastic. He totally understood what we were looking for, and kept people on the floor dancing the whole night. John organized everything and was totally responsive whenever we had a question or needed to make arrangements for the party. We had a terrific experience with Aria Melody. John is a consummate professional and it shows from the first meeting to the day of the wedding. Our experience with Aria Melody and Owen as our DJ could not have been better. We found Aria Melody through recommended vendors on numerous wedding websites and the rest was history. Our initial meeting with Owen was informative, casual, and gave us a real sense of the company's professionalism and attention to our desires. As for the wedding itself, I have had more people ask about our DJ than any other vendor. The dance floor filled up before the food was served, which is exactly what we wanted, and there was never a lull in the party the whole night. Our wedding was attended by people as young as 20 years old and as old as 87! Everyone complimented the music and Owen was able to determine the right selections for all the different points in the evening.

Amazing experience all around with John at Aria Melody DJ. He was attentive, patient and all around professional. John truly made our wedding a night to remember! I envisioned a night of fun and dancing and it was so much more than I could've imagined!! We could not have been happier with Owen from Aria Melody DJ! When we first met Owen for coffee to discuss the music for our wedding, we immediately felt like he understood us as a couple. Before getting into specifics, we spent some time getting to know each other and talking about our favorite bands. His laid-back, personable demeanor made us feel like we were hanging out with a friend rather than meeting with a vendor. We had some very specific requests but we were also looking for suggestions, and Owen recommended songs that fit in perfectly with our playlist.

On our wedding day, we were very impressed with Owen’s professionalism and ability to seamlessly transition between each part of our reception. During dinner, he played all of the songs that we had requested and mixed in a few of his own. We were amazed that Owen’s selections were some of our favorite songs! Aria Melody is class personified. Very professional. He brings himself and his DJ booth. No inflatable saxaphones or tacky party favors. He caters the whole night to what you want, when you want it. Owen was our DJ for our Wedding this past October and we loved him! Before the Wedding both Owen and John were very quick to answer any of our questions, help us find important songs and Owen even helped us gently speed up our First Dance song which we thought was just too slow. Very professional service and classy DJ'ing. The DJ'ing was great because (1) followed our song selections, (2) professional voice and demeanor as DJ (no wacky voice-overs and over the top DJ talking), (3) nice guy, and (4) good value. People had a great time.

We loved working with Owen from Aria Melody DJ! My husband went over a lot of details and music with him and always found him friendly and responsive. He was prompt and did all his set up and sound checks without us even knowing it! His music was great and he never came out on the dance floor or shouted into the mic which was the #1 thing we DIDN'T want. Very pleased over all!

Aria Melody DJ did a fantastic job for our wedding. Our DJ, Owen, was so easy to work with. Leading up to the wedding, he helped us craft our playlists and came up with great suggestions as needed. In talking over our music selections with him, it was clear that he understood exactly the type of atmosphere we were looking to create with our music choices.

Owen's work on the day of the wedding was perfect. We had a non-traditional reception venue that came with a variety of logistical challenges (cocktail hour outside, dinner in two separate rooms inside, and dancing in yet another room, with outdated and in some cases broken electrical hook-ups throughout the old building), but Owen figured out the best plan and executed it seamlessly. While dancing was going on following dinner, he even managed to have a separate, more low-key playlist continuing in the dinner rooms for guests who wanted a more relaxed environment.

In addition to all that, Owen also came early to provide audio support for the ceremony in the garden outside the venue, which was basically the fifth separate space for which he needed to provide speakers. I honestly have no idea how he accomplished all of this by himself, but he did it flawlessly and without any sign that it was a challenge at all. I just can't say enough about what a huge role Owen played in making all parts of our wedding day a success.

And all of that is not even to mention that the music he played was exactly what we wanted. For cocktail hour and dinner, we provided Owen with a mix of suggestions that ranged from classic Sam Cooke/Otis Redding, to more modern Wilco and Arcade Fire, and he managed to blend all of our choices perfectly. And he did the same on the dance floor, starting out with classic songs that all of our guests enjoyed dancing to, and then getting into more modern options as the evening got later.

Finally, Owen did not draw any attention to himself at any time throughout the night. He just let the music speak for itself, which is exactly the type of DJ we were looking for.

Owen was professional (look and demeanor) and he took the time to get to know us as a couple so that he was able to understand both our musical tastes and the atmosphere that we wanted to create--then he nailed it. From the very first meeting with Owen, we knew he was the right DJ for us. We wanted someone who played the music we selected, and only made the announcements we asked him to make - no laser lights or loud invitations to come to the dance floor. Owen did not disappoint.

I knew just by looking at the Aria Melody website that John would almost definitely be our DJ. After 30 minutes of sitting down with him, he was the first and last DJ we met with. I wanted exactly what he was promising - none of the cheesiness that almost comes hand in hand with most DJs, the shouting over the songs, the dancing with crowd, the constant announcements - and he delivered just like his tag-line. John was extremely professional, he mixed the list of songs that we gave him with some amazing song choices throughout the night that may as well have been on our list! I was initially a bit worried about the mixing of song genres - but any crossover was totally smooth and perfectly blended. He completely exceeded my expectations - I have never been to a wedding where people are on the dance floor before the first course has even been served! Yes, he's THAT good! He also sticks to the "Do Not Play List" and has a good feel for things that you would shut down even if it's not on the do not play list. Throughout the night we were REALLY thankful for that! If I could give more stars I would because he is EXACTLY what we wanted in a DJ. John is completely tasteful, professional, and he will work with you or help you if you have any trouble with song choices. For us, the music is what really makes the wedding, so this vendor was the most important to us. Aria Melody DJ could not possibly disappoint you. John is amazing and you can tell just by talking to him that he has an extensive music catalog not only on his computer, but in his head. Thanks for making our wedding, John!

There's not much else to say other than Aria Melody was perfect for us. John was everything we wanted in a DJ and nothing we didn't. His customer service skills were top-notch, basically doing anything and everything we asked him to. He was prepared and professional and the reception went perfectly. If you care about the music that plays at your reception at all, Aria Melody is perfect for you.

John is the best! Of all our vendors, he was the most organized and quick to respond to every email of ours. He spent a very long time trying to help me find a specific type of music for our introduction and it was perfect. We got exactly what we wanted...a great party that had the dance floor full, with music we either picked or within the styles we told John we liked. He had a great feel for timing and the flow of songs were spot on.

If you want a DJ that is running the show instead of trying to be in the middle of it, John is who you want. No excess talking, no self promoting during your event, and very professional. So much so that a bridesmaid already recommended John to her brother in law!

While we were incredibly happy with the overall experience of our wedding, we believe that our DJ--Aria Melody---really was the piece de resistance of the event. Our family and friends danced from beginning to end of the reception, which is exactly what we had hoped. John was prepared with every song we requested, and put together a beautiful mix for our cocktail hour and reception. He was exceptionally professional and easy to work with...you would be lucky to land him as your wedding DJ.

John was such a great part of our wedding!. He was such an easy vendor to plan and work with. We had been at a wedding two years back in which he was DJ'ing and we immediately thought of him when it came time to plan our own wedding. We liked the fact that he was the no gimmick DJ! No line dances, no lights, no fog machines, just great music for our guests to enjoy. John has a great website with a list and clips of songs to help you decide on songs for entrances, father/daughter, mother/son, cake cutting, etc. We found this really helpful since there were some parts of the night we weren't sure which direction to go.
The music he played was just what we were hoping for. He had everybody out there dancing the entire night long, which is all I could ask for as a host. He even taped our speeches for us since we didn't have a videographer. Such a plus since we were going to ask a friend to do it! He was extremely responsive to all our emails and communication before the wedding and he came dressed for the occasion. I would highly recommend John to any bride looking for peace of mind and a good time.

John was the best DJ ever! We were looking for someone who had similar taste in music to us and was not cheesy and he fit the bill. He totally mixed our eclectic music style well. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

From the first time we met John he was extremely organized and professional. He did an awesome job DJing our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He even kept in touch with the venue manager and our videographer in the weeks before the wedding to make sure all set-up would go smoothly. He played the songs we wanted him to and none of the cheesy stuff we didn't want. He did a great job feeling out the crowd and the vibe, and choosing which songs to play accordingly. He also was perfect on the mic announcing the necessary wedding stuff (grand entrances, speeches, cake cutting, etc). After the wedding, John took the extra step of sending us video he took which was greatly appreciated since we didn't have the video back yet from the videographer and we were anxious to relive the night :)

John was phenomenal. I really believe that a DJ can make or break your wedding and our DJ absolutely MADE our wedding. People I have never seen dance before we're on the floor all night long. The music was awesome and very impressive considering we gave VERY little guidance (though it was welcomed). John's professionalism was A+. He was so quick to respond before AND after the wedding. Without John our wedding would have certainly not been as much fun.

This is long overdue. We can't say enough good things about Aria Melody (John Sinclair). We had a wide array of different age groups and cultures at our wedding (all with different musical tastes) and somehow, John got everyone up to dance. Our dance floor was packed the entire time! We were amazed to see so many different people dancing together and having a good time. It's been months since we got married and people still tell us about the great time they had dancing at our wedding.

While the music was great and the dancing spectacular, John helped us out in a way that I did not foresee: John helped my wife and I relax on our wedding day by coordinating with the maitre'd and our mothers-in-law to address all the last minute changes at our reception. I'm a project manager by trade and I put a lot of time and effort into planning our wedding. Despite my efforts, there were a few unknowns that had to be dealt with quickly and properly (we did not have a wedding planner). Since John had invested the time to get to know us before our wedding day, he knew the details of what we did and did not want. On our wedding day, John was able to put our minds at ease with his thoroughness, thoughtfulness and professional manner. John was there to answer questions and "direct traffic" so that we could focus on enjoying our special day.

We chose Aria Melody because their website states "No lights. No fog. No gimmicks." While all of that is true, I would also add "No Worries" because John takes ownership of his work and invests the time to make your day flow the way you dreamed it would. Thanks for everything John!

John Sinclair was very helpful and responsive throughout the wedding planning process. He would check in to see how our song list was coming along and ask if we needed any help to choose songs. His website was very thorough and had a helpful list of songs to choose from for the ceremony, cake cutting, etc.

We compiled a long list of our favorite songs for John to choose from. He selected really great songs from our list and he played a variety of genres so that everyone had a chance to dance.

We had John Sinclair for our wedding and he was so completely phenomenal!!! Pre-wedding he gave us a bunch of suggestions and help and was incredibly down to earth and cool about everything!! Our guests were dancing and commenting how great the music was the whole time!! It wasn't too loud so that you couldn't hear the person next to you if you wanted to talk. He only really spoke when we asked him to announce something and for the introductions. If you think most djs are cheeseballs and stupid (like we do), contact John since he's the complete opposite!!!

John from Aria Melody was the DJ at my daughter's wedding and provided exactly what she and her fiance had discussed with him. They are truly no pressure and are extremely professional and capable. John was wonderful, and we were very happy with his services.

He definitely got everybody up and dancing well. Also, he did the perfect job of controlling the party's tempo while staying in the background and not interfering.

Aria Melody was a pleasure to work with. John Sinclair was professional, responsive and most importantly, he kept the party rocking so hard at our wedding, that the venue had to kick us out!!! Nobody wanted to leave! From our first meeting, we felt comfortable with how professional John was. Our last meeting, we went over the pronounciation of all the names to be announced and he even found a copy of our first dance song, which was in mandarin. Plus John gave great recommendations when we were looking for various reception entrance songs. He's great at reading the crowd and just an all-around great guy!

These guys really now how to charge a party. From the moment people entered the reception, they were serenading us with beautiful classical music and introduced my wife and I for our first dance so creatively...won't forget that. The dance floor was completely full considering many of the guests were over 35 and conservatives. We had a long list of requests and they managed to get just about every song and added some tunes that really made the floor go wild. Great job...worth every penny.

John did an excellent job in every way! Right from the start we were comfortable
that we booked a wonderful DJ. He was very informative during our first meeting and always
responded to my many e-mails filled with questions. He was helpful throughout,
especially when he gave us song suggestions for different parts of the day (1st dance, parent dance etc.) It was great to talk to him a few days before the wedding to finalize everything and go over correct pronunciations, which I might add he did perfectly!!

The wedding went smoothly, and for an early wedding on a Saturday John had people up and dancing. He played music that appealed to our guests which was a wide age range.
We had many guests come up to us during the wedding and tell us that the music was great and that John was playing the best songs! He played all of our requests and
none of the songs on our "Do Not Play" list.

John was absolutely brilliant at our wedding. Multiple guests commented and even asked for copies of the playlist. Not sure we have ever been to a wedding where people never stopped dancing - we are grateful it was our own. Thanks for all of your efforts and assurances and for making our day so seamless.

These dudes are top-flight blokes. Young, down to earth, friendly, helpful and
willing to do everything in their power to make sure we got the music we wanted, down to
the very last gypsy punk anthem. We're music fiends, as are a number of our closest friends, so we took it
upon ourselves to create the entire play list and leave it up to John and Paul what the best order was for these
songs to play in. It didn't matter that they'd never heard of half the bands on our list.
They found the songs and gave 'em a listen and had them ready to go. And they were great with
the announcements and looked quite natty in their suits and ties.

People were shaking it out on the dance floor all night. And nary a smoke machine or chicken dance in sight.

Martin and I were so happy with John and Paul. They were extremely professional. They answered all of my questions, responded to emails in a timely manner, gave me a contract that was very clear and explaining all terms, had a good payment policy, and were very helpful with the music selection. They arrived early and everything seemed to run smoothly. I didn't notice anything so to me that means there were no problems. The announcements were also great, they said what needed to be said and that was it."

I know my family and his dance but I was SHOCKED that the dancefloor was PACKED from the first song! I told them to NEVER say things like "come on and get on the dancefloor" or "its time to dance" or anything really - all they did was the introductions and it was PERFECT! I hate making people do stuff or giving instructions and I was right, we didn't need to. The dancefloor was packed the whole time and my parents were thrilled that it was loud enough but not too loud and you could talk at the tables. They were really hard on us about the music really hoping it was good dancing music and the right level and they were thrilled at our selection of dj!
