Describe your DJ style:
I am discreet unless called upon to be otherwise. I can involve your guests in games, encourage them to the dance floor, make all announcements. The style and frequency is dictated by the desire of the bride and groom.
What is your usual attire?
Black and White Dressy
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
Only if it is impossible for me to obtain. I usually provide every song.
How many other DJs do you work with?
I work alone usually.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
3 hours locally, 4 hours if it takes more than an hour to drive there.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Definitely.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
I certainly can. I speak fluent French, some Spanish and Italian. I have a huge variety of foreign music in many styles and I sing in many languages, including Portuguese, German. I can learn to pronounce a song in any language. Linguistics happens to be a passion of mine.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
I offer FREE lighting.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
45 minutes to an hour

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Only if requested to by the bride and groom.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
It has been customary for the venue to provide a vendor meal to the DJ, especially if it is far from home and includes the ceremony.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Yes.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes. Colleagues from other companies.
What is your overtime rate?
$125 per hour

Additional Advice
Be prepared to smile A LOT! It is your special day. You have planned it, stressed sometimes about it, looked forward to it. On your day, just relax and enjoy it! If you hire the right vendors you will have hardly a care in the world except remembering to kiss each other when your guests tinkle their forks to their wine glasses. Be prepared to be flexible if there are any tiny glitches. Sometimes, nature chooses to be challenging. Again, just relax and breathe and smile.
