I will definitely recommend Art Occasions to all my engaged friends. Rachanee did my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as my mothers hair. She was extremely professional and artistic. I did a trial at her home studio a few months prior and she brought my vision to life. She had lots of suggestions and references to use so we established a clear picture of what I was looking for before she even got started. She created a beautiful, unique updo and lovely airbrushed makeup. On my wedding day, she arrived on time at my hotel and finished my hair, makeup, and mothers hair by the time we had agreed on. Rachanee did a great job on my hair and makeup for my 9/24/11 wedding. I had my trial with her 2 months before the wedding and was extremely pleased with the result. I brought a ton of pictures to show her what I had in mind for both hair and makeup. I wasn't sure that my desired hairstyle would even work with the texture and length of my hair but Rachanee told me she could do it. She spent almost 3 hours with me at the trial, making sure everything was perfect. It was one of the most relaxing times of the whole 8 months of wedding planning! I opted for the airbrushed makeup and I loved it. I still looked like myself but she was great at enhancing my natural features. At the end of the trial, Rachanee took some photos to remember exactly how I wanted everything for my wedding day and emailed them to me.On the day of the wedding, Rachanee arrived on-time with her assistant to my mom's house, where my bridesmaids and I were getting ready. In addition to my hair and makeup, Rachanee and her assistant, Kimberly, also did the hair and makeup for my mom, cousin and one of my bridesmaids. They did a great job on everyone. Rachanee made sure we stuck to the timeline and finished promptly on time and both my hair and makeup lasted all day (12 hours). In addition to being great at what she does, Rachanee is also an extremely sweet person! I definitely recommend her to make you look and feel beautiful on your wedding day!

Rachanee did my hair for my best friend's wedding I was in recently and I could not give her high enough praises. She was able to take verbal ideas from both the bride and I, without any pictures, and she was able to create exactly what we were both imagining. I planned my wedding in California remotely from Asia and I booked Rachanee without having the trial first given I wasn't able to make it to California until a few days before the actual wedding. She turned out to be two of the best wedding vendors (the other being my rehearsal dinner place) that I have selected, and I was really thankful and lucky that I have found someone like her to help me and my bridal party for the make-up and hairstyle. I didn't have much clue about what I wanted except something that's natural, reflective of myself, and goes well with my gown. She was so amazing on the trial day and the wedding day itself and was able to come up with a look that I/everyone loved! I had artists done my make up and hair on a few other formal occasions before and I think Rachanee is the best so far. She was really professional throughout and i really enjoyed working with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I had 7 hour pre-wedding photo shoot. She did my initial hair and makeup in the morning and changed my hair styles about 5 times during the photo shoot.

As every bride experienced before, I couldn't choose between long hair styles and updo hair styles, so I decided to have both. I researched a lot of hair/makeup artists in the bay area. I contacted pretty much all artists from http://theknot.com and http://yelp.com. I was looking for someone who could do the natural makeup and variety of hair styles. Moreover, even tho it was 7 hours, considering driving 6 different places in SF, changing clothes, walking and taking pictures, the time was very tight. Therefore, I needed someone who know the styles and practice them beforehand, so it can be done as fast as possible. After getting quotes and reviewing each artists' portfolios, I finally chose Rachanee.

I emailed her a bunch of photos of the hair and makeup styles I like. During our trial, she had them printed out already and I could see she was prepared. she pretty much knew what I liked and did a good job. We timed how long it took to do one hair style to do the next. She took each pictures, so she could practice later. Of course, there were times that I didn't like the style. I told her my concerns, and she listened to me and changed it until I was satisfied. She was a very hard worker.

Lastly, as I mentioned previously, I got a lot of quotes from different artists, and her rate was one of the most reasonable price considering their experiences. Also, FYI, I liked pictures from yelp than her website for some reason, so make sure to check out the pictures from yelp. I hope this helps!!

Rachanee was wonderful and extremely professional. Her and her assistants (who were also great) did make-up and hair for me and six bridesmaids in a timely fashion for my wedding. I was even late due to last-minute errands and she still got us all done an hour before the ceremony. I was initially hesitant about hiring someone to do hair and make-up because of the cost but it was definitely worth it as it made the wedding significantly less stressful. We all felt confident, and received many compliments. I would recommend Art Occasions to anyone in the area who wants a group of stylists who make you look great and natural. There are other wedding vendors I used that I regret but she was not one of them.

Nancy perfectly replicated the hairstyle in the photograph I gave her and made it stay up the entire night (48 pins!) through swing dancing and aerials! Would absolutely recommend her talents with hair!

Rachanee at Art Occassions is the sweetest vendor you will ever meet. She is extremely flexible, a great value, and VERY talented. I first did a make up and hair trial. Definitely do the trial if you want to decide on your perfect look. Rachanee did my hair and makeup in several ways, took photos for me, and then I was able to decide which I liked the best. All the looks were natural and beautiful - it was difficult to choose!On the wedding day, Rachanee came with one assistant. Rachanee made my wedding day experience wonderful. I had been going to her for my pre-wedding trials for hair/make-up. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about my needs for my day. On the actual day of, she knew that with so many women to work on (6 bridesmaids and 1 mother-in-law) that she would need back-up. There were two other assistants to help with hair and make-up. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous and the experience was fun. My mother saw how beautiful the women looked and ended up getting her make-up done as well! My make-up felt light on my skin and was "just right" on the color. My hair had gone through some changes from curls to a twist on the day of. The style was simple, yet modern and elegant at the same time. It ended up feeling like me and not like other styles I always saw at weddings/magazines. Rachanee worked hard to work with our schedule in time/location. It was an experience that every woman getting married should have.

Rachanee did my bridal hair and makeup and she did a fantastic job! My makeup looked beautiful and felt very natural. I was worried that I would need some touch-ups, but even after a 12 hour day, no touch-ups necessary! My hair was pinned up in long curls, and the curls stayed in place all day, despite it being a very windy day. At the end of the night, my hair was still neat and tidy. Looking back at photos, I am extremely happy with the end result. I never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day, and it was all thanks to Rachanee. I just had my wedding and I was very happy with working with her all the time.She does listen to you and respect your style.My first trial went OK, but I was not really happy about the bumps on my cheek from rubbing air blush. So I told her which I don't like about and I asked her to do the air blush different way on my wedding day. Then she offered me a second trial just for foundation. It was better than first time, but my all facial hair caught the air blush. She suggested me a threading. So I did, it was amazing how things worked out.Also I got so many compliments about my wedding hair. Everyone liked it and of course I loved it too.Rachanee is very easy to work with and very quick response too!

I actually ended up doing a few trials with her because I was indecisive on hair styles. She was very patient with me and very accommodating to my schedule and requests. My husband felt it looked very natural and loved it, which was a great compliment since he generally likes me without any makeup at all. I had to plan my bay area wedding from Los Angeles so had to select out of town vendors purely from recommendations on the web! It was a little nerve wracking, but it turned out so well! Rachanee met with me in my hotel room just 2 days before the wedding for my trial run (only time that worked for me!). I gave her pretty vague instructions--pretty, natural-medium makeup that covers/lasts all day and a soft up-do hairstyle. She showed me some pictures from her books/magazines to find things I liked and then ran with it! It turned out so great! On the day of the wedding she met in my hotel room and got me and my maid of honor ready in plenty of time...she really did a fantastic job on both of us. Ratchanee is a great hair and make up artist! She listens to you and gives you some choices suiting your styles. She will make sure that you walk out the door with your beautiful smile. I had a unsuccessful trial at another place, so I became very cautious. When I went to Rachanee's studio for the trial, I found her very professional and patient. The most important thing is, if you are not sure about what you want, her professional suggestions will guide you to think about what you want, then you'll see your dream come true.

On my wedding day, she handled the stress really well. I had to change my hair style and makeup twice. While guests are waiting, It's not a good idea to hold them there. Rachanee finished the touch-ups efficiently and did them extremely well.

In addition, I met with Rachanee for a consultation and we tried one type of foundation which I found to be a little heavy on my skin because I have oily skin. Rachanee had no problem scheduling me for a second consultation to try another type of foundation which worked a lot better on my skin. Rachanee also provided me with a clean up hair cut several weeks before the wedding which was very helpful because it saved me the trouble of going somewhere else just to have a trim. It was also helpful for me to have her cut my hair because she was also doing my hair for my wedding and she knew how much hair she needed to work with to provide me with my wedding hair style.

Rachanee also provided hair and makeup to some of my bridesmaids and they were all very happy with the results.

I'm very very particular about how I wanted my hair and makeup to be done for my wedding...thankfully I found Rachanee (owner of Art Occasions).

She is an extremely professional and unbelievably talented stylist. She LISTENED to what I wanted in terms of the styling of the hair, and was very patient about how precise I wanted my make-up done. She's also a very warm and comfortable person, so I wasn't shy at all (and she insisted I shouldn't be shy) about making sure that she was able to achieve the style I wanted.

During the wedding reception, I couldn't believe that through all the dancing, and sweating, and drinking, my make up and hair stayed in tact! Not just in tact, but still completely fabulouse! Rachanee Reddick of Art Occasions was the consummate professional and a true artist in terms of make-up application. The one characteristic I like the most about her work is that she listens to you. In the end, the bride knows her own face the best. She then turns your preferences into a beautiful face. She also offers air brushing, which lasted the whole day of the wedding without any major touch ups. My sister and my mother just adored her work. Although Rachanee never consulted with each of them until the big day, she was able to provide impeccable make up. Everyone looked natural. No one had a caked on face. I found Rachanee through a friend's recommendation and I now highly recommend her to any bride to be.

I am one of those girls who hates make-up and wanted to go as simple as possible but still look great on the big day. Rachanee worked with me to give me that look which I had no idea was even possible. She was patient, professional and really listend to what I had to say. On the day itself, she was one of the few people to keep me calm, made me comfortable and kept me smiling. She was fabulous which meant I looked fabulous at the end! I highly recommend her services.

Upon Rachanee! I was able to set up a trial run with her, and I loved the way my hair and makeup came out the frist time out! The only thing we had to modify was my lipstick color. Rachanee was very, very professional and friendly, and she was a pleasure to work with. I brought her a picture of what I wanted my hair and makeup to look like on our trial run, and she was able to make me look similar to the picture, but it still looked like me and she used the makeup to complement my personal look.

On the day of my wedding she arrived on time to my hotel room and , with her assistant, did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, and 4 bridesmaids! Everyone looked gorgeous! The hotel room I had was unfortunately on the smaller side, but Rachanee (and her assistant) did not let it interfere with their work. She had a very caliming effect on everyone and actually all of my bridesmaids commented on how relaxed they felt when they were getting their hair and makeup done. My hair style was a little bit different (in the trail run my hair was down, and for the wedding she pinned half up and half down) than what we discussed during my trial run, but it looked so amazing and I loved it! And I probably would not have thought to wear it that way. Even when we were runing on the late side, (Rachanee and I had a miscommunication about times) she still finished in time! after the wedding ceremony I received so many complements on how great I looked and better yet my new husband said I looked gorgeous! My mom and bridesmaids also recevied a ton of complements!

She's a wonderful makeup and hair stylist and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone! She is very flexible and understanding, and is willing ot work with your budget. I will definitely be contacting her for future special events that could use a Rachanee Art Occasions hair and makeup makeover!

I am an EXTREMELY picky person and went through three trial runs with other people before I found Rachanee. I even debated doing my own makeup because I was so unhappy with the people that I had found. Rachanee immediately impressed me. She was so good with BOTH hair and makeup, where all of the other people I had met were only good at one or the other. I showed her a picture of the hair style that I wanted and she created it immediately and it was exactly the same as the picture I was very impressed! She also did my makeup perfectly and it looked great allllllll night! Everyone at my wedding thought my hair and makeup looked beautiful and thanks to Rachanee, I got the look that I wanted. She arrived on time at 8am to do 5 people's hair and makeup and was also done promptly. She even stayed a lot longer than we expected because our photographs took awhile, to make sure that I got a touch up before the reception. I had been looking for hair/makeup artist for my wedding and had a trial run with a gal with less than desired results, to put it mildly. She barely spoke english and did not understand what I wanted for my makeup look. I needed to find someone eles who knew what they were doing!

So, I searched on the Web and luckily, I found Rachanee! After my first experience with that other gal, I was very careful because I didn't want a repeat, so I asked questions and even brought pictures of what I wanted. I shouldn't have worried - Rachanee turned out to be wonderful! She is a very pleasant person and knowledgeable about different makeup looks. We experimented with different styles and she has a very good eye for what makes you look your best. Rachanee was patient and friendly, like having your best friend there who wanted you to look your best on your special day.

Rachanee also did my hair in a beautiful upsweep style so I could wear my headpiece - a birdcage veil headband set with silk flowers and feathers. My hair is straight and different lengths and I was afraid that it would not stay up and sleek for the long day with the headband on it, but it didn't budge and looked fantastic.

I received lots of compliments at the wedding, and now finally getting to look at the wedding pictures, I was very happy. Being an older bride (49), you wouldn't think that looking at the pictures, it was more like mid-30s! Yeah, I'm bragging, but it's a great compliment to Rachanee, thanks, girl! As a matter of fact, my photographer liked it so much, she's using my bridal portrait in her own ads!

Rachanee communicated very well by email and phone to double check things like place and times before the big day. She was even a bit early that day and was fully prepared with all her equipment and ready to go! I HIGHLY recommend her for her services, I wish there were other occasions I could come up with that I could use her again!
