Danny was awesome! checked with us before doing anything! kept the wedding reception moving along...professional and fun and taught people how to do the cupid shuffle! fun and entertaining and a great deal!!!

We had Danny Gray as our DJ and we could not have asked for anyone better. When we met with him to go through ceremony and reception music he really listened to what we wanted and made suggestions as to what to play when and other artists that we might like for the ceremony. Not only was he professional but easy to talk to as well. Guests were comfortable making music requests and there wasn't a time during the reception that the dance floor was empty. A lot of my guests told us that was one of the best weddings they've been to and I truly believe that it is because of the quality of our DJ. We also rented their uplights and photobooth and it was a HIT. Everyone kept talking about the photobooth after the wedding the uplights made the venue even more incredible. The value, professionalism and service was outstanding and Mr. Danny Gray is HIGHLY recommended!!

Astro provided music for both our wedding ceremony and reception, beautiful wireless uplighting that totally transformed the reception space and the infamous photo booth that was a total hit with the guests young and old. Steve was our DJ and he did an awesome job keeping the party going....the dance floor was full the entire night. They provide great value when you book everything as a package. Getting the lighting through them probably saved me over $1,000.00!

We had Danny G. from Astro and he was great. We had a small wedding and a lot of people spent their time at the photo booth and not on the dance floor but by no fault of Danny's. He had amazing energy and worked hard at keeping everyone pumped and getting them on the dance floor. He made the reception extra fun. He kept the garter removal classy yet funny and fun. He's a great guy who met all of our DJ needs. Super outgoing and friendly. Highly recommend Astro and Danny Gray.

My event was on July 30, 2011, Jill was my D.J. and she was amazing! She was so helpful and friendly. She basicly kept the flow of the reception so we were really happy we decided to use a DJ.

We choose Danny as our DJ and couldn't have been happier with our decision. He went above and beyond our expectations. We had provided him with some specifics to our ceremony and reception which he followed to a T. He kept the party going all night and everyone raved about how great our DJ was. Astro is a great choice and well worth the money!

Our dj was JJ Campos and he made sure our reception was great. He was quick on his feet to fill up any time between cake cuttting, first dance, etc. He arrived promptly and was ready to start immediately. He even taught our guests a new dance and added in an impromptu couples karaoke session which ended with the groom serenading the bride. Our guests were highly entertained and we now have great memories to last a lifetime.

Roger kept our guests on their feet and dancing every minute of the reception! What a great DJ and wonderful to work with

I hired Danny Gray with Astro Entertaiment for my wedding reception in March. Although my wedding was beautiful, my reception was FANTASTIC!! Christian was a great DJ and MC! We had a large Puerto Rican crowd at our reception, and my MIL had requested me to ask for salsa and meringue...the DJ played a good mix of Latin, top 40, and classic wedding dance music. Everyone had a great time dancing. My only complaint is that he couldn't stay past our contracted 4 hrs when we were willing to pay to keep the party going.

Danny from Astro was awesome. My husband has a unique taste in music and he spent a lot of time creating a playlist for Astro. Danny did a fantastic job and getting all the rare songs that my husband wanted to hear. He was great at keeping us on schedule and worked so well with my mistress of ceremonies. Highly recommended. They also provided the music for the ceremony. We had a serious time crunch and they worked with us and made everything go so smoothly.

Our DJ Roger was so much fun! Everyone had a great time on the dance floor. We gave him a long, eclectic list of music that we like and he did a great job of mixing it all in. He also showed a great range- played some oldies early on for the older folks and then got clubbie at the end for us younger people. Roger was so enthusiastic the whole time. It was so much fun, I wish the reception didn't have to end...

Danny Gray our DJ from Astro Entertainment (Astro Dj's) was by far one of the best parts of our wedding. Once the music started, our guests hit the dance floor and didn't leave until the reception was over. I have been complimented for the past two weeks on how my guests had an amazing time - Thank you Danny for keeping the guests alive and happy throughout the event!!!!

The DJ (Greg Chappell) was great! He asked permission before playing requests and kept the party moving until they kicked us out. He did manage to upset the groom though when he kept requesting him to go to the dance floor (and he doesn't dance!) and it made things a bit awkward for a while when guests were wondering what was going on. The DJ made sure everyone was having a good time and everything went great!

AMAZING! I couldn't imagine that a DJ could make a ceremony sound so good. Our ceremony was in the atrium of the Founders Inn and it sounded like the orchestra was right there, even better, you never saw that there was a DJ there instead. During the reception when a few people started getting more than just a little skanky on the dance floor he promptly changed the music to polka, halarious. I wanted people to have fun of course, please don't get me wrong, but this was a very formal event, and some people just needed to be saved the emarassment of what they were doing. These guys are amazing, I wouldn't send anyone anywhere else. The little extra you spend is well worth it, I felt like our DJ knew us for years, the music was perfect. Thank you guys so much!

We weren't sure who our DJ with Astro was going to be until the week of the Wedding...a little nerve racking but lucky us Danny Grey was available on our Wedding day! Danny played all the songs we requested and worked with my husband and I during the wedding before playing any requests or allowing anyone to make a toast that wasn't a part of the reception. The reception stayed on track and it's all thanks to Danny keeping the party going smoothly. He also did our ceremony...perfect!

So.... I need advise on this one! The price is decent, it is $500.00 for 4 hours. I have not met with them yet but I am hoping they are good

Astro Entertainment was great! I was concerned that my wedding would have a dj that wanted to talk to much or had that dj voice. Jerry, from Astro was excellent. He worked with us to determine what we wanted to play and what would get our crowd on the dance floor. He played special requests from the wedding party, as well as kept the night moving smoothly.

Excellent DJ and business. Astro provides paperwork ahead of time to ensure that your event is just as you expect it to be. The DJ was professional and nice. Reliable and nice, no surprises.

Recommended by Grand Affairs, we asked Astro DJ to provide a DJ to perform at our ceremony and reception. At the ceremony, I never even got a chance to see the DJ but I was constantly hearing music. It was beautiful!The same DJ, James, then departed to take care of the reception and make sure there was music playing there as well. While we ate, there were soft love songs playing in the background, not too loud and not too soft. It was perfect. When it came time to dance, the music was the perfect pitch yet again. My wedding guests were a tough crowd but the DJ did an excellent job playing the right songs that made everyone want to get up and dance. He was a marvelous entertainer and interjected comments at the right time. He did a superb job feeling the crowd and determining whether a slow song or fast song was needed to keep the night running smoothly. The DJ even got on the dance floor and danced a slow song with one of my guests. That was impressive. :)I can't thank him enough for making my wedding day a day to remember!

Astro DJ provided excellent service at my reception and cocktail hour. Music is so essential to a successful wedding reception. Astro helped all of my dreams come true to include my surprise dance for my new hubby. Danny was very accommodating to my specific needs and I am so grateful that I choose Astro DJ.

We had Danny DJ our wedding, and we could not have asked for a better DJ. Danny did our ceremony music, and did a fantastic job with it, changing and fading the music at the right times. We wanted a unique request of walking into our reception to our school fight song, he found the song, and then suggested a way to play it so that we would hit the dance floor exactly as the big part of the song hit. It worked out perfectly!! He came up to me throughout the night giving me a heads up on timing of when certain things were happening so I was prepared. He kept my dance floor packed, and everyone loved him. I had so many requests at the end of the night for his name/company. DANNY WE LOVED YOU!!!

Our DJ did exactly as we had asked. We had an exact list of songs that we wanted played with no outside requests. He politely explained this to our guests and made sure that we had the best time at our reception!

Our DJ was Simeon Curry. He was awesome! He played everything we wrote on our playlist and was able to gauge the energy of the party to keep everyone on the dance floor. Some of our most memorable moments are of our wedding party dancing together, and having a great time, while Simeon was spinning the tunes, long after the majority of our guests were gone home.

Roger was great and kept everyone dancing the entire night!! He let us pick some of the songs, and we trusted his judgement to select the rest. Everything worked out great!

We worked with Shawn @ Astro DJ and he was very friendly, professional, and attentive. They provide you with lists and lists of songs, artists, and genres which you can select to be played or put on your "no play" list. They accommodated every request we made with no fuss and even when my step-son wanted them to play a song on the "no play list" they had it. At my request they played the song. They were there when we got to the reception and there were no mishaps. They're great! And they are flexible with the cost (based on time of day).

Shaun rocked. We had a beach wedding and he came to meet us at the location prior to the big day to discuss music and how to amplify the sound down to the site. Easy to work with and lots of fun. Music selection was great. Keep everyone dancing :)

This company came highly-recommended and is a little pricey for this area, but it is 100% well worth it. They are so patient, do exactly as you ask, make wonderful recommendations, are VERY professional, and they think of everything that you might miss!! AWESOME, we got tons of compliments on Sean. VERY FUN!!!

Johnny Flex from Astro DJs did our ceremony and reception music. He was wonderful! I highly recommend Astro DJs and if you can request Johnny, do it!! I had so many of our guests compliment the music selection and the personality of Johnny himself. Fantastic!

Steve was amazing! He did everything the way we wanted. We had a little technical difficulties with one song that was sang at the reception, but other than that, it was smooth sailing! VERY good and professional service! Plus they offer a military discount! Very nice! Recommended!

The person I talked to when looking for a DJ at Astro was really nice and helpful. The DJ they sent was a little annoying. He talked way too much. My planner had to tell him 3 times before he toned it down. My planner complained to Astro and I got half my money back. My planner worked with Astro for 5 years and this is the first time of a complain. Kurt is the name of my DJ.

They had a slew of DJs and make sure to pick the perfect DJ to fit your musical style. We had a great time with our DJ. He played a lot of music that got people dancing and out of their seats.

The wedding was a hit because of our DJ. I think his name was John or James. He was incredible. In fact, he was so good that even after my husband and I left he kept the music going, playing about three songs past the time we had scheduled! My guests boogied all night long!!!

The DJ was amazing! He was always making sure I was doing okay and the night was going according to plan! Even after my dress kept falling, he got his emergency wedding kit and gave me saftey pins! He played great music all night long.Picking the songs choices before hand was made so easy with their reception packet. I wouldn't choose anyone else!

Astro DJs was great!! Larry DJ-ed our wedding reception, and ALL of our guests were up and dancing! So many people commented on how they had never seen a DJ that could keep the crowd going all night. Larry kicked off the night with a legendary conga line (everyone guest [we had 115 people at our reception], except 1 was up and dancing in the conga line. That kicked off the night perfectly! Everyone was up and dancing for the rest of the evening! He also chose great music for the cake cutting ceremony, garter/bouquet toss. In general, the company was great to work with! We paid extra to use Astro because of their great reviews- well worth the money!! They select a DJ for our event based on how you fill out their questionaire. Highly recommend Astro DJs! They book up quick, so make sure you book in advance!

Johnny at Astro DJ's was awesome! He even kept the crowd updated on the baseball game they were missing! What other dj brings a limbo stick! It was great.

I was very nervous about the DJ for my reception because I had such a variety of people (and tastes) at my wedding. The DJ’s name was Christian, and he catered to everyone. I left the song selection mostly up to him, and his taste was impeccable. He was very organized and help to make the reception enjoyable for everyone.

The DJ was able to get the music we wanted without us having to supply it. I did, however, perform some belly dancing with my troupe and we provided that music. He kept the party going, except about an hour before we were supposed to leave the reception site. The reception site turned the lights back on, which made all of the guests leave. The end kinda fizzled out, which did not make me very happy. I'm not sure if that was the DJ's fault, the reception site's fault, or something else though. They did call ahead to ensure proper pronunciation of names, but he still mispronounced one of the bridesmaids names (not a big deal though, she is used to it). I would recommend them to anyone needing a DJ.

I would recommend this company to anyone in the Hampton Roads area. I was called by Chris Lizette about a week before the wedding and was very happy to work with him. Not only was he so professional and pleased both my needs and my mother's needs for music, he was very personable and made our night the best ever. All our friends were on the dancce floor with us all night and told us it was the best wedding that they had been too. If it werent for Chris our night wouldnt have been the same. Please trust in them to make your night memorable.

These guys are the best in the area. They're willing to sit down and listen to your needs to make sure you get exactly what you expect. Best of all they have a place in the paperwork you fill out to list songs that you do not want played and no matter how hard someone begs they won't play them. Two thumbs way up for the guys at Astro.

I was very disappointed with Astro. First of all the DJ they told me that they tried to match the personality of my event with the right DJ. I had a very upscale wedding and they assigned a DJ (2 days before the wedding) that was calling me baby and "let's get the party started" on the phone. COMPLETE mismatch and very unprofessional. The DJ's name was Alamo. I immediately complained and they switched my DJ to Simeon. He did not want to meet in person ahead of time.I had sent Astro a detailed list of what songs had to be played, should be played and then another group that could be played if there was time. Simeon completely ignored my list (which I put A LOT of effort into) and mixed all of the categories. I had to manage him and what he was playing next all night. He did not have a good sense of what was working with the crowd and ignored my list. The dancing worked out fine, but only b/c I told him what to play. Lastly, he did not play the right version of our first dance song. He played some live version. Double check this!!!

The DJ was great. He had almost everything that was requested, there were a few things he did not have but when we had talked over the phone about what kind of music I forgot to mention country selections so he didn’t really bring any country with him. He played a great selection of music and even the older folks were out on the dance floor having a great time, he was able to play music that made everyone at the wedding happy.

This company was wonderful to use. We were able to go online and select any specific songs and types of music we wanted played. The DJ was wonderful and kept everyone dancing all night. He was energetic and made us a CD of our favorite songs as a wedding gift.

AWESOME! We had Jon E. Flex as our D.J. and he was very entertaining. He even danced along to the line dances. He played the perfect music during dinner and kept everyone on their feet afterward.

Astro did an awesome job at my wedding. I am very paticular and wrote pages of instructions, songs, timed events and other things I wanted my DJ to do and we went over it all before the wedding. My DJ did a wonderful job! He followed my list exacty and everything went off without a hitch!

Each DJ listens to the couple making the wedding day theirs and not into a carnival. Astro’s true dedication showed this weekend with Hurricane Irene. Because of Astro Entertainment and their great team Danny rocked the house with the music. Credit also goes to Astro for the photo/video booth that the guests were able to enjoy. And also, for the last minute TV screens that had supplied, which allowed the couple to see their video montage for the first time. The location lost power very early in the day, and Astro was not aware of this. Luckily, Astro Entertainment took it upon themselves to bring a backup generator to the reception. The couple and guests that were able to make it had a great time because of Astro. Thank you to the team at Astro Entertainment for helping me make a couples dream come true even during a Hurricane!
