Barbara and her team were AMAZING! Helping us pull off a wedding in 2 weeks and everything coming together without a hitch. The venue was romantic and peaceful. It really allowed us to just enjoy our day.

Barb and Cam helped us create the most wonderful evening wedding. They were very accomodating. The atmosphere was very warm and romantic with beautiful floral and candle arrangements. At the Schoolhouse provided an almost one-stop shop for our wedding. They supplied the venue, officiant, dealt with the catering, decor, and event management. This removed much of the stress of the actual event. The staff are knowledgeable, practical and very enthusiastic. The pricing was ideal for our budget conscious minds, and accomodated our 25 guests quite nicely. They also provided recommendations on the photographer who did a superb job, and was already familiar with the location and best placing for shots, this made the flow of the evening seem flawless, and never clunky or awkward.

Nothing but good things to say about this venue and its staff. They made our wedding the event we wanted, while keeping the stress of the event off of us. Simply outstanding.

Thank you again “At the Schoolhouse” for the beautiful experience! The setting was beautiful, intimate and it added a sense of romance and love. For future brides, I would suggest getting the coordinator to help out while you are there. Carmel just took care of us and showed us what to do and where to go, before and after the ceremony. Having her there took a huge load off our shoulders, because without her there we would not have known what to do! Future brides and grooms, this is definitely the place to have your wedding!

I couldn't believe how easy they made my special day. I had a small budget with which to plan, and was going to do "city hall" wedding when I stumbled upon the Schoolhouse. It was a small fraction of money more, but I was able to include all of our special friends and family without feeling like we didn't have a wedding. The decor and ceremony were perfect. I had such an emotional response the first time walking in, I knew it would be a place I would remember forever.

Our August wedding was perfect - exactly as we dreamed it would be. This was a second wedding for both of us and we decided to follow our hearts instead of someone else's idea of what was proper. We wanted a casual time for friends and family to meet, share, visit and relax. We wanted our grandchildren to be there and to be free to run and enjoy. Our biggest concern was finding a venue that would allow for such a small, casual atmosphere. We found it At The Schoolhouse. They sat with us and said "What do you want? What do you not want? How do you see this playing out?" And they listened. Our guests loved it. We were able to relax and enjoy our own wedding.

It was a wonderful venue, bright and cheery, nicely decorated with beautiful landscaping. Food was great and the staff were very flexible and accommodating to our group. Our wedding was absolutely perfect right down to the extra touches, we couldn't be happier with our experience with At The Schoolhouse! We would definately recommend this wedding venue to others and have already. :)

My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about the staff at The Schoolhouse. Everything was perfect in every which way. Barbara was fantastic as our officiant and we treasure the fact she really made my children part of the ceremony. Words can not describe how wonderful our wedding was and how many great reviews we received from our guests. It was a pleasure and a complete delight. We would recommend At the Schoolhouse as a complete one stop wedding venue of the highest quality. From our initial sight visit, to service recommendations (such as transportation and photographer), to planning with the coordinator, the team at the schoolhouse made us feel taken care of and special. On the wedding day - the location took my breath away - the accent decorations and colours were perfect, the setting was intimate, but allowed guests to move around inside and out. (we had 55 guests)

The food presentation and quality was excellent, the servers polite, the officiant was warm and charming, and Carmel our coordinator was attentive and invisible - every time I needed something it would appear from booby-pins, to a glass of wine!

A sincere thank you for to the staff, it could not have been a more perfect day for us and our family and friends.

The staff "At the School House" were warm, "real" people who genuinely wanted to make our wedding extra special... not just for the two of us, but for every family member and friend who joined us. Their attention to every small detail was astounding... especially for me since I am a perfectionist through-and-through! They thought of everything! The venue was romantic, inviting, and suited our needs and wants perfectly. The food was catered by "The Mixing Bowl", and it was delicious. Everyone commented on how delicious everything tasted. Our experience with At The Schoolhouse far exceeded our expectations. From great ideas during the initial consultation to a perfect implementation on the day of the wedding the ATS crew never let us down.
Everybody was impressed with the event, many commenting that it was the best they had ever been to. The food was excellent and accommodated some of our guests' special needs. Overall the event was extremely satisfying and we would highly recommend the At The Schoolhouse team and their unique and charming venue.

Myself and my wedding guests enjoyed a lovely reception after our Church ceremony at The Schoolhouse. Inside when we all arrived it was beautifully decorated and was such a perfect venue for our intimate wedding party of 25 guests. Our wedding guests were all thrilled at how lovely the Schoolhouse was inside, and the whole reception was wonderfully intimate and heartfelt. We heard so many positive comments from ALL of our guests!

Barbara and the others at the Schoolhouse provided help and direction for myself and my husband on our wedding day and they also met with us a few months in advance to discuss our wishes and plans for how our big day should unfold. The team at the Schoolhouse were accommodating to the ideas my husband and I had prior to our wedding. The food served at our reception was great and our wedding cake was beyond delicious! It was heaven!

Overall I would say we had a very positive experience with the Schoolhouse. It was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding and I would recommend it to all future brides!

At The School House was absolutely amazing! They may look like a small venue, but the attention they give to each couple is exponential. I was warned about the stress of planning a wedding, but with At The Schoolhouse, everything was stress free. The staff was prompt in answering e-mails and any questions we had. Their caterer, florist and staff we approachable and felxible. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Barbara, Carmel, Ashley and Courtney, Lisa Craig for photography, Judy for the beautiful ceremony, and everyone else who decorated, served and cleaned up after us! I was overjoyed with my experience At The Schoolhouse! My husband and I wanted a small intimate ceremony with our immediate family and closest friends and that it exactly what we got. Everything was set up perfectly and beautifully decorated. Barbara provided a lovely wedding ceremony and was very open to our ideas. She tailored it to fit us as a couple and executed it perfectly! Carmel the coordinator was fantastic and made everyone feel at ease and helped them understand their roles in the ceremony. The other coordination staff was always on the ball, and everyone ensured that we had what we needed at all times. I would recommend the schoolhouse to anyone, because it is a lovely, intimate atmosphere with everything you could need!

Thank you for making my only daughters wedding a memorable and precious day. This whole wedding was put together in less then 4 weeks and it was perfect. We had originally planned to get married in August, when those plans fell through we decided to get married as soon as possible, April 8th was the date that was set in play, 3 weeks from us changing our plans, without a problem the school house worked with us 100%, upon our arrival at the schoolhouse we had help from Barbara and Carmel, things were perfect! We couldn't have asked for anything better.
We had our reception at Danby's located next door, and Deb was great! again with little time to prepare we couldn't have asked for better service and better food!

ATSH made the process so much easier. They took care of many details that woud otherwise require time and resources that most brides would rather nor worry about; for example decorating and removing decorations from the venue, finding a caterer, and a host of other to-do items. The flexibility is great and the venue is beautiful.

Well what can we say about the Schoolhouse...? I dont think my husband and I can put into words how wonderful and extra special our day was made by the staff and this gorgeous venue. From my initial enquiry to the follow up after the day, they have been nothing short of amazing. We arranged our wedding within 4 weeks, with myself (the bride) living in the UK and the groom In Barbados and it was perfect. The food was divine and everyone was so accomodating. My guests are still complementing us on our choice of venue! As my husband says- 'these guys are pros at weddings!' -they certainly do know their stuff. We would most definately recommend this venue fo anyone who wants an upmarket and intimate wedding. You wont regret it!

The best decision we took was to make our wedding in "At The School House". The place is amazing and magical, and I loved it since the first day I saw it.

Better aid, attention and organization, would have been impossible to find.

Barbara and Team were absolutely great! They were very accomodating with our plans and had great suggestions for where we got stuck. Our guests all commented that it was a very fun and intimate venue. The location was amazing for photos. The Schoolhouse team took care of even the smallest detail.

We had an amazing time at the school house! I had no clue what planning a wedding entitled, at the school house made it easier with their packages and they were amazing to be so extremely flexible with what we wanted on our day.

I honestly can't fault the staff or the service at The Schoolhouse in the slightest. We arranged our wedding remotely (from the U.K.) which is a very stressful experience. But as soon as we arrived in Canada and had our meeting with Izabela, she put us completely at ease and made us feel like everything really was completely under control. She made us feel as if nothing we wanted to do on our wedding day was too much to ask.

On the wedding day itself, the team had managed to decorate the place exactly to my taste based only on the information of our signature colour of champagne and the fact that we were looking forward to an Autumn wedding because of how beautiful the leaves would be. So I was overjoyed when I got there and saw the place decorated with Autumn leaves and champagne coloured roses! The bouquet was absolutely beautiful too (again, based on our colour theme.) Gorgeous, fresh champagne coloured roses with a little tiny crystals in the centre and tied with a champagne coloured silk ribbon.

Izabela did an absolutely fantastic job of looking after myself and my maid of honour and giving our musicians their cues. The service ran so smoothly and the speed at which Izabela and Barbara transformed the ceremony space into the tea and coffee service certainly was impressive!

During the entire experience from the initial planning stages to the big day itself, I felt like I didn't need to do a single thing. Everything was taken care of by the staff at The Schoolhouse and I can't express in words how much I appreciated that kind of reassurance in the hectic weeks leading up to the wedding day.

I would thoroughly recommend At The Schoolhouse to anyone considering a small, intimate wedding. The level of professionalism of the staff there is second to none and the venue is so quaint and quirky that you're bound to get a lot of compliments on choosing it, just like we did!

At The School House was THE FIRST and ONLY place that we looked at for our wedding. Upon walking in and being greeted by Barbara we knew instantaneously that she was the one to officiate our special ceremony. The venue is perfect for many different occassions, but our wedding was perfect.
