Atlas Floral Decorators

Kiriba, our decorator, is amazing. We met with him once and I outlined everything I was thinking of. They stayed within budget and the second meeting we had, they provided us with samples which was exactly how I envisioned them. Soooo satisfied with my bouquet and everyone else in the party. I added draping to the ceiling above the dance floor and, instead of the traditional draping where it all comes to the center, he did this amazing haphazard draping that looked modern and stylish. Loved it! Although I was not going to have a placecard table centerpiece to save costs and he was only going to transfer one of the tall centerpieces from a table and then move it, I noticed that a tall centerpiece remained at the table and the favors were put out on that same table at the end of the reception. A wonderful nice surprise! The only reason why I could not add a plus to the grade was because they forgot the ringbearer pillow. But it really didn’t matter since my nephew is such a ham and was waving to the crowd. And they created flower purses for the FGs and that came out so cute.

Kiriba’s flowers far outweighed my expectations! We had originally wanted a lush fall flowers arch but compromised on 2 large fall arrangements to get married in front of due to budget. I was totally blown away with the final product that was there on our wedding day. It was actually 2 huge arrangements but looked exactly like the arch we wanted that we thought was out of our budget. It was simply amazing. I knew that the centerpieces were going to be fabulous because I had seen a sample. But seeing them in the room on the 16 tables – they looked even more amazing. My bouquet was absolutely to die for as well. It was all red roses and berries and was huge and more gorgeous than I could have hoped for. He also hung votive candles from the exposed pipes in the ceiling over the dance floor which looked like stars over the dance floor – this looked so so cool.

The only thing I was even slightly unhappy about were that the BM bouquets were smaller than I expected – this was not an issue for me though given the other amazing things he did for us.

I got so many compliments on the flowers – people could not stop talking about them all night. I highly recommend Kiriba – he was friendly, had plenty of ideas, and worked within our budget to produce the flowers of my dreams.

Kiriba was a magnificent person to work with. We had our wedding on July 24th, 2009 at the lighthouse chelsea piers. People gasped when they walked into the reception area and could not stop commenting on how beautiful the flowers were. Kiriba was also one of our favorite vendors, who worked with our budget to give us the floral and decor of our dreams. He answered emails, responded to phone calls, double checked with me when necessary. I appreciate the work he was able to put forth on our wedding day. The pictures will be up soon.

So many guests complimented us on the gorgeous flowers. Kiriba did an amazing job. He was so professional and helpful, from the initial meeting to the end. He stayed within budget, and when we met for our follow up consultation, he totally wowed us with the sample table he had made up. The day of the wedding the room was full of color and just looked so elegant and beautiful. I couldn't have been happier!!

OK...let me be clear by sayign that the low star rating is for the service, not the product. But I am honestly SHOCKED to hear people complimenting Kariba, at least from a personal standpoint. Yes, the flowers were pretty, but I honestly have no idea how someone so offputting could work in the professional services sector. He was neither friendly nor accommodating, and never once went out of his way to answer important questions. He simply did he job - put together pretty flowers for a very special day. Luckily our guests only saw the fruits of his labor and not the attitude that came along with it.

So far we are impressed. I saw that someone had some issues, which is very helpful and makes me so glad for this site. We've had them create a trial centerpiece for us, and it is beautiful, the colors weren't exactly what we thought they would be, be we loved it... barring any future issues, I'm sure we will end up using them.

I too am puzzled by all the glowing reviews--especially now that I've relied on them like an idiot and used Atlas for my wedding.

Our wedding was at the Lighhouse so we had to use one of their designated vendors--i.e Atlas. We were from out of town and had little time to meet with vendors. We met with Kiriba and picked Atlas based on reviews online regarding the final product--not based on our interraction with Kiriba. I agree with the other reviewers that from the start he had an attitude, was not friendly, and I was shocked that someone like him worked in the service industry. However, I was willing to deal with the personality issues because I had hoped the centerpieces would be amazing. In the end, they were pretty but nothing unique or so creative that it was worth the pretense or the price tag. I was quite annoyed when our sample centerpiece contained pink flowers when I specifically, from day one, indicated how much I hate pink. I had very few requests--this was one of them, it should not have been that hard to note it down somewhere. Better yet, my bouquet was not mango calla lillies as I requested but red callas. This was a very very big deal. Is is the WRONG COLOR in all my wedding photos. However, seeing as to how it arrived four hours before the wedding there was nothing anyone could do. The flower girl petals were yellow, not orange. Again, why sticking to the wedding color of orange, upon being given explicit instructions to do so was so difficult is beyond me. Of all people, a florist should not be color blind.

My daughter's wedding was just last weekend, and we have only incredible things to say about Matt Kollins at Atlas Floral Decorators....From the very beginning, he understood what my daughter wanted, and recommended table arrangements, and venue decorations that my guests are still raving about! Matthew had suggested stringing small votive glass bell jars from the top of the ceiling suspended at different lengths along the glass walls of the dining room, and when the evening began, it looked as though stars were shining in from the sky outside...What an impact!
The chuppa was breathtaking, and the brides's bouquet was just beautiful! My daughter had wanted only whites and ivory flowers, and the feeling to be organic and natural...We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw how beautiful and exactly as we spoke of....everything was! Matt helped to make all of us enjoy a most memorable occasion!

I ready the review from project wedding and after I met with Kriba, I thought I have found my flourist. I was excted from the good reviews and the portfolio photos. Little I know, Kriba was the most rude vendor I have dealt with. From the meeting, he told me they would create mock-up before signing the contract and he would give me 3 proposals. Only 1 proposal was sent, and it was after over 2.5 weeks ( I had to call to ask about it). I asked him how full the flower arrangement would be and he literally yelled on the phone to tell me he didn't know because it all depends on the season. So for what I pay, I could get either few flowers on the branch or full. Also, he said everything was 'in working process', but when I asked him about few things, he just said 'put your deposit'.

I would say, if you are spending a lot of money, find a better vendor to deal with. You don't have to pay to get yelled at. And I can't imagine to work with this guy down the road with this kind of attitude.

Kiriba was an absolute joy to work with and is a truly talented floral designer. Our focal flower was the rose and the arrangement Kiriba put together far outweighed my expectations. He was professional, confident and a complete gentleman. The reception flowers looked absolutely phenomenal. I can't even put it into words. He had an impeccable attention to detail and family and friends were flipping coins to decide who would have the honor of taking home the centerpieces. All of that AND he stayed within my budget. You will not go wrong choosing Kiriba for your wedding or special event!
