We could tell Sean was a professional from the time of our first meeting. He takes a lot of pride in his work. We loved that we could choose our own music and the sequence of events on his website. He did both our ceremony and reception music, which were both very organized with the way he set all of it up. The night flowed perfectly. We'd definately use Sean again for future events.

From the moment Sean and I met DJ Sean, we were in love, lol. We felt like we knew him forever and had a strong feeling our wedding would be great with him at the helm (of the speakers). And we were right. My husband and I live in the DFW area and even though DJ Sean was a few hours away in Austin, the planning process was seamless. He was very responsive and had wonderful suggestions. He is also very professional. Sean and I commented on how handsome DJ Sean looked in his suit on our wedding day. And he was genuinely invested in our day, as if we’d been friends for ages. It was a perfect fit. My parents were a bit concerned with who we got to DJ our wedding because they are from the Caribbean and wanted to be sure their culture was honored. That was not a problem. My mother was singing DJ Sean’s praises for days after the wedding!! And not only was the music great but he was also a great MC. He was also very flexible and did his best to work with Sean and I to ensure our day would be the best. And that it was. We got so many compliments on the music at our wedding. Everyone was dancing, especially Sean and I. I don’t think we left the dance floor. The only thing I would change would have been to have DJ Sean for much longer than we did. We had the best time ever.

Sean was amazing! For my wedding, I gave Sean complete control over the music because I trusted his experience. I think I selected a total of 7-8 songs for the entire night (that is a 5 hour wedding) and he rocked! His experienced helped him pick the right music for my crowd. We had a total of about 100 guests (it was a destination wedding) and oh my gosh - he had almost everyone on th dance floor nearly the entire night and I received so many compliments from my guests on how great the DJ was. I am so glad that I found Sean on Wedding Wire. I originally had another band lined up and I thought that they were overpriced. So I started looking around for other options. For me, the music is an extremely important part of the ceremony and reception because it sets a huge part of the ambiance. I contacted another DJ company and they were booked for Oct 9th but highly recommended Sean and forwarded my information to him. Once Sean got my information, he contacted me within 10 minutes which really impressed me. I knew in my gut that this was the DJ for me. Sean is so genuine and easy to talk with. We had a couple of phone consultations because I do not live in the Austin area and during these calls he gave me great suggestions and helped me think of things that I had not thought of ie a mic for the officiant, reception timelines etc. He will really help your wedding flow smoothly. He arrived on time the day of and took it from there. I got a lot of great comments from my family and friends about the music and his professionalism. Also, his website is very user friendly. To get a well-rounded playlist, I had several other friends and family members add to the playlist. There were some specific songs that I wanted ie processional songs that were piano solos, that were not on his playlist and he got them for me. So if you look at the playlist and don't see a song that you want, don't worry, he can get it for you. So, Sean did exactly what I wanted and created that great musical ambiance that I was looking for.

Picking Sean as our wedding DJ was a no brainer for the minute we met him. Sean is extremely responsive, professional and absolutely loves what he does. When we first scheduled an appointment, we met Sean at his house and he was so excited to show off his DJ skills. I was sold after hearing him DJ! He's DJ-ed his fair share of weddings, so he knows what works and what doesn't work. I loved that he shared his opinion of what would keep the dance floor full and what wouldn't. During our planning sessions, Sean had great ideas whenever I needed help picking a song (e.g. garter toss, bouquet toss, etc).

On our wedding day, Sean was amazing. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Sean arrived on time with everything he needed. Our wedding venue created a wedding timeline for us that Sean followed spot on (he would have created a timeline for us had our venue not already provided it). He came to us when it was time for the cutting of the cake, the toasts, the garter toss, etc. It was such a relief to have someone tell you where to be at the time you needed to be there rather than worry about watching the time.

Another thing that was absolutely great, is that we didn't notice Sean. You notice a DJ when they are too chatty or when they're playing terrible music. Sean was professional the entire night and played a great selection of music. Our wedding guests thoroughly enjoyed the music - the dance floor was always full, there was a dance off, the best man took his shirt off, my parents who have NEVER danced, danced for the first time EVER!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Sean. He was one of the most professional vendors we worked with and was always available to answer any questions we had. I really liked that we got to meet with him a few times before the actual wedding to talk about what we wanted out of our ceremony/reception. He was able to down load any songs we wanted and was great at recommending songs for various activities (cake cutting, anniversary dance). I really feel like he understood what my husband and I wanted out of the night and made that come true. I wanted a fun dance party and you better believe he had everyone up dancing, including my 85 year old grandfather. It was awesome! With all the stress that comes with planning a wedding, it was so nice to work with someone as professional and accommodating as Sean. He was punctual and took care of all the set up/take down involved with the event. The ceremony music went seamlessly and he played all the songs we wanted at the reception. It was very clear that Sean had a lot of experience DJ-ing weddings as he thought of things my husband and I hadn’t even considered (if we wanted our guests to be able to request songs, ways to keep people happy and on the dance floor, how to end the evening). He even let me get behind the turn tables and transition songs, one of my favorite memories from the reception. I would recommend ATX DJ without reservation. Sean was awesome.

Sean of ATX DJs was the best DJ that I've ever seen at any event and I'm so happy that he DJ'd my wedding! He was super professional and really good about meeting multiple times with my groom and I to go over ceremony and reception music. At the reception he did an amazing job making sure that all of our special requests got played and that everyone kept dancing. We are still, three weeks later, having guests from our wedding coming and telling us that we had the most fun wedding they'd ever been to and how great our DJ was. Sean was wonderful. We weren't able to find a DJ in San Antonio, so we reached out to the Austin area for one. Sean was eager to meet with us to ensure that we woud mesh. He brought his laptop and was very versed in his music knowledge. He was pleasant to work with and really went above and beyond in what we paid him for. Wow! Sean did great work! We wanted to have the bridal party introduced at the reception with music and a script of "what to say" as each couple entered the room. Being a huge music fan and a hard critic, picking a DJ was one of the most crucial components for our wedding. There's so much that goes into the flow of an event that I was worried. Sean was flawless...no, I mean FLAWLESS. Track transitions, perfect mix, spot-on timing, he had it down to a science. He queued a song for us at the exact second we requested and also looped a short song during the ceremony (not just started it over, but blended it so it sounded continuous...perfect). I accredit all of it to him being very passionate about music, and it shows. I've been to numerous weddings where the DJ is just there to get a paycheck. Others try a little too hard and it comes off cheesy. Neither of these describe Sean. He worked with us to get a feel for our flavor and ran with it. All of our guests were extremely impressed with him and said the night reflected my wife and I perfectly. He also coordinated with other vendors and speakers during the reception since we didn't have a wedding coordinator (another issue I was worried about, yet Sean nailed it).

Bottom line is he put all the attention on us, yet subtly flexed his own personality, making the entire evening fun. If he could hit a homerun with this crazy music fanatic, then that should tell you something. Sean you the man.

My wedding was at Green Pastures Restaurant on March 25, 2011 and I booked ATX DJ. Sean was AMAZING! I was recieving compliments all night about him. I planned my wedding from out of town and it was so easy working with him. His online planning guide was AWESOME and so helpful. He was extremely professional, well put together and he was so nice! Wedding planning can be so stressful and the music was actually the last thing I was worried about. Toward the end of the evening, he even found me and asked if there were any songs that he had not played yet that I wanted to be played before the night was over. Overall, he did a FANTASTIC job!!!

DJ Sean a.k.a. ATX DJ was phenomenal. He showed excellent intuition in combining our play list with requests and reading the crowd to provide a seamless stream of music. One of our goals was to have people dance continuously until the very end of our reception, and Sean made it happen!

Daniel and I couldn't have asked for a better match for a DJ for our wedding reception. We put 100% of our trust into Sean and let him do his thing for the wedding. All we asked of him is that he keep everything up beat, keep the people dancing (even if they weren't great at it), and to make sure everyone had a great time! My dad decided to throw in a change to the Father Daughter dance two hours before the dance and Sean took it in stride and made the Father/Groom/Groomsman entrance a memory I won't ever forget and got the party going! The entire night, Sean read the guests and every one had an amazing time! Hours of the wedding being over, Daniel and I were flooded with phone calls, messages, and e-mails about how great the DJ was, how much they loved the music and the dancing, and how much they enjoyed the wedding. DJ Sean is amazing!!! Not only does Sean have passion and excitement for his work, he has the best customer service! The kind of service you know you can rely on for a day this important. He took the time to meet with us several times to get to know us and what our likes/dislikes were for our music choices. We even had a guest come up and say she used him for her daughter's wedding and that we chose a great DJ!

From the beginning he was really thorough and responded to emails immediately. I had no idea what I was doing and he walked me through it. He helped us pick the perfect songs and offered really great suggestions when we needed them.

His music selection is great, and he will download any song you want without charging you anything extra. Also he threw in a dance/disco light for us, which really set the scene for our reception.

DJ Sean was everything we could have hoped for and the one wedding vendor we never had any worries about! DJ Sean Allan was the co-creator of our event. He was friendly and laid-back but very professional. His sound system is excellent, his responsiveness superb. Throughout the evening he checked in with me personally-- sometimes just via eye contact, to see if I was happy with the selection-- and other times he sought me out to see if I needed to modify the set list at all. This was the level of communication that I wanted, since we did not have a wedding planner, and Sean understood that and met our needs perfectly.

I couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding and would recommend him highly to anyone.

Sean was absolutely amazing. He responded to emails really promptly, played all of our hard-to-find specialty music, dealt with last minute changes really well and everybody had a wonderful time and he was able to adjust music play to crowd response while still getting to all of our must-play list. Furthermore, I sent Sean must-play songs up until midnight the night before the wedding; yet, he still managed to play pretty much everything we requested. He also had a lot of good suggestions and pointed out things that we didn't necessarily plan for or think about. He was awesome! My husband and I aren't huge fans of the cheesy traditional wedding songs and Sean did a great job balancing our music preferences with songs that would inevitably get guests dancing.

DJ Erik is FANTASTIC! Before the wedding he kept in contact with us completely. If I sent him an email to change, add,or just question something I was contacted back within the day. At the wedding he was happy and smiling the entire time and the dance floor was packed for the entire reception. He played everything we wanted, and some great choices of his own. He also got there 2 hours ahead of schedule to make sure everything was perfect. I completely recommend using Erik for any event you may have coming up, affordable and perfect!

Our wedding was a mix of two different Latin cultures and a lot of College Graduates so to be able to get everyone's taste of music in would be an extremely hard task. However, Sean made it look easy! The dance floor was poppin the whole night and he was able to bring our college friends and family together out on the dance floor! DJ Sean provided music for our wedding & for the reception with two different sound systems. We talked with him a few times before the wedding and he had our music tastes nailed! Sean was referred to us by the Salt Lick for our May Salt Lick Pavilion wedding. He was absolutely wonderful to work with. I called him and he immediately called me back to discuss our ideas for our wedding. We were originally playing with the idea of having a quartet for the ceremony portion and a DJ for the reception. Our wedding was a 'casual' yet 'elegant' afternoon lunch at the Salt Lick. Sean had done so many weddings at the venue and was so knowledgeable about the stream outside and acoustic issues with the setting both inside and outside we decided to use him for the ceremony as well. It was amazing! We met with him and sent him music ideas and a general time line. On the day of the wedding, he showed up early and was set up before the ceremony. We had discussed him playing music as guests arrive - he did that for a good solid 1/2 hour before the ceremony. Our actual ceremony was fairly simple, we had chosen one song to signal the beginning of the ceremony and for the groom to walk down to. After that, we had our wedding party of 7 kids (3 - 4 yr olds, 3 - 7 yr olds, and a 10 yr old) walk down the aisle. Sean played the music perfectly and had the portion of the song cued up for my entrance. It seemed seamless to me. We only had the Officiant miked so when we were saying our vows we weren't sure if everyone would be able to hear us over the stream. All 250 guests said they could hear us. After the ceremony, he immediately set up the music in the reception site and continued to play awesome songs throughout the afternoon. Our music was primarily background music. We gave Sean some suggestions and he took them and added to them. Every song played fit our request. Sean helped make our day the most perfect day. He was professional and responsive to everything. He was incredible and I would strongly recommend him to DJ any event. I have a memory of seeing him a few times during the reception up at the DJ stand smiling. It was such a genuine smile, it makes me smile right now when I think about our wedding.

-Our wedding kind of ran off schedule a couple of times and he would always come find me (the groom) and let me know how the schedule was looking.

With my first face-to-face meeting with Sean he understood exactly what we were looking for with our wedding music (before, during & after the ceremony) and the whole vibe of our event. He did a great set up with the lights on the dance floor, and took care of all our PA needs. We had an extremely successful wedding and reception (with a packed dance floor), thanks in no small part to Sean. I'd definitely recommend ATX DJ to any bride, or anyone needing to provide great music and entertainment for their event.

Sean with ATX DJ went above and beyond my expectations! I didn't realize the dj is a big key to a smooth wedding. He made sure all the announments (prayer, introductions, cake cutting, first dance, etc) were made. But more importantly he played awesome music that kept the guest dancing the WHOLE time! Sean also played the music for my ceremony which turned out lovely! Sean was prompt to answer emails and phone calls with various questions I had. He also showed up with plenty of time to set up on the wedding day. I would highly recommend Sean and thoroughly enjoyed working with him!

ATXDJ is the best DJ service in Austin. We had them at our wedding and they did such an amazing job. Their priority was to make sure that our wedding was awesome, not to just sit and play lame elevator music like I've seen at some weddings and they definitely succeeded. They weren't sitting up there with Itunes open, they had professional DJ turntables, speakers, the works. Sean and Eric did such a good job coordinating with me, doing what we had decided ahead of time but also flexible enough to work on the fly if we asked them too. I highly recommend ATXDJ to all of my friends.

Sean was great! We did not want most of the typical wedding music. He played a variety of fun and easy flowing music to socialize, eat and dance to. He even played some latin songs for my husband's side of the family. We didn't give him much time to work with, but he worked wonders. Also, you can choose the songs you want for special dances as well as just regular dance time. I left a lot of regular dance time up to his preference, he always read the crowd really well and played songs that made everyone get off their butts and on the dance floor. He provides dance floor lighting as well, which is awesome. It really made people feel like they were dancing at a disco, not a wedding. Everyone had a great time, because of his lovely music. My father has a very bad back, and so for the father/daughter dance he sped it up and ended it a little so my dad could sit back down, but still was able to enjoy a dance! He is truly wonderful.

He did a GREAT job communicating with all the vendors for announcements and ques. I appreciated that he took the time to make sure I was in place before he started the song and announcement of the couple. Also, being married to a formal DJ I can tell you his equipment is top of the line. This is someone that knows his craft and truly care about making your wedding everything you dreamed.
