We hired Augie as our wedding photographer this past summer, and we couldn't have been happier with our selection. Augie was simply AMAZING. Since we were planning our wedding (which took place in the Bay Area) from DC, we were forced to meet with potential vendors during a few weekend trips out to SF. As soon as we met with Augie, we knew that he was the photog for us. In addition to having a top-notch portfolio, he just seemed like the perfect fit personality-wise. We knew that our photog was going to be someone that we would spend the entire day with at our wedding, and we wanted to make sure it was someone we were comfortable with.
Augie included an Engagement Session as part of our package, and we decided to fly him out to DC for it so that we'd have a set of pictures in the city we live in and met at. The E-session was a full day of shooting in Georgetown and the U Street Corridor. We could not believe it when Augie actually emailed us teaser photos later that night - talk about a fast turnaround. Clearly, he didn't need to spend days photoshopping his work - he's that good. We were so happy with the pictures and even had Augie produce a signature book using the photos that we had our guests sign at our wedding.
For the wedding itself, Augie and his team were perfect. He came to our hotel and took shots of my bridesmaids and me getting ready, as well as my husband and his groomsmen. Then he took our "first look" and Bridal Party shots at a nearby Japanese Tea Garden before heading over to the wedding venue. Once we got to the venue, we were able to get through most of the planned family shots before the actual ceremony - Augie and his team were so good at wrangling people up and getting the shots done efficiently. The rest of the day and evening were just as perfect as the start of the day. Augie was unobtrusive but still managed to get all of the shots that we wanted.
I HIGHLY recommend Augie. We actually just received our final photos a couple weeks ago, and are blown away by his work. We consider Augie a friend after working together with him, and have anointed him our photog for life.
I was first exposed to Augie's work by a coworker of mine who used him for his wedding and I instantly fell in love. I knew immediately that I wanted to use him for my own wedding and when I finally got engaged, we set up an appointment to meet with him. I have to admit, Augie is so down to earth and just an overall REALLY nice guy. He really listened to what we envisioned for our wedding day and it was apparent that he takes the time with all of his clients to really build that relationship with them so he can capture those unforgettable moments on the big day. Even now, he remembers small details and even goes out of his way to contact other vendor friends of his to find out their availability for us! I couldn't be any happier with choosing Augie as our wedding photographer and I am confident in knowing that our pictures will turn out absolutely amazing!

One word to describe Augie... AMAZING. Brian and I are very fortunate to have Augie as our photographer. The first time we met with him (at his studio) we knew that he was the ONE. A lot of his work were displayed on the walls and it showcased his talent. We couldn't wait to take our engagement pictures. That day, he made us feel very comfortable, at ease especially since it was both our first time doing a photo shoot. We had a blast and we left asking for more. The big day finally arrived, Augie was there ready to snap away and we knew we were in good hands and we trusted him. All our friends and family loved him just from seeing our engagement pictures and that day, they all saw him in action. His style is fresh and candid and he has a great eye for detail. He was quick to hone in on these details and capture them to give a personal feel to the photographs. He was able to capture all the images that we can truly cherish for the rest of our lives. Augie was an awesome photographer. We liked him immediately when we met him. He takes beautiful but creative pictures, and made us look better than either of us thought we could! He was also really fun to be around, both during our engagement session and during our wedding day. Not the cheapest photographer out there, but worth every penny - he is fabulous. We love our wedding pictures. We would recommend Augie to anyone.

My husband and I were extremely fortunate to be able to work with Augie Chang on the photography for our wedding. Not only is he an amazing photographer, but he is also a wonderful person. I work in the photo book industry so before I even got engaged I had spent hours and hours looking at all sorts of wedding photos. When the time came for us to pick our wedding photographer I did a lot of searching. After hours spent browsing websites and doing interviews I was thrilled when we were able to hire Augie, our number one choice. Working with Augie was a wonderful experience. Augie was great! I work w/ him so I'm a little biased, but I've also seen his work over the last 3 years. We used him for our engagement shots which came out phenomenal. His wedding pics were even better. So good, we were in fact featured as one of the Real Weddings in the Knot Magazine (fall/winter '06 issue). He was really unobtrusive, does photojournalistic/artistic work. He lets you have your day, but for the mandatory "posed" photos he does very creative work that just makes you look wonderful!
I've had the pleasure of working with Augie Chang at several weddings. His work is modern and creative, and he has the ability to capture those special and sentimental moments in his photos.
