Bridal Extravaganza

I found the Austin Bridal Extravaganza to be more overwhelming and stressful than helpful. My fiancee and I went to the show shortly after getting engaged - we felt extremely stressed and lost the entire time we were there! I would recommend trying to go to a show when you are further along in your planning, so that you know exactly what you are looking for and exactly what you need. Wear your sneakers - there is aisle after aisle of showcases to see. Bring some water - lots of food and cake to taste! Finally, beware of all of your personal information you give out at the extravaganza - I received WAY too many spam calls and emails after entering into different drawings! I would advise against filling out anything except for maybe the tux rentals (for the discount)!

We got a ton of free stuff & had a really good time. The show is HUGE so it's a great place to find vendors & get some creative ideas.

I have to admit I had fun at the bridal show. For a guy, that says a lot. There were a ton of people there, mostly just there to get free stuff. Still, as long as you can overlook all of that, this is a great place to find vendors & see examples of their work without having to drive all over the city to meet with them. Just be sure to bring something to take some notes because if you bring your man with you... we won't remember anything we saw the next day unless it was way too expensive or totally doesn't fit into the theme.

We had so much fun. We didn't really know what to expect because we'd never been to a bridal show before. There were several vendors there so we were able to get a ton of information all at once. If you decide to go, try to catch a show when you're first starting to select your vendors & have a list of questions for vendors that you meet. That will allow you to accomplish more during your visit.

I would have liked a little more variety in the vendors. It seemed to all be photographers, cakes, and florists. Would have been nice to see some diy ideas and a larger variety of vendors.

Every bride should attend a Bridal Extravaganza before planning. This was a awesome show!

This event was very helpful in letting me see what options were available. As the first child in my family to get married, we were at a loss of where to begin. The event gave us plenty of planning information. The event also showcased a variety of vendors showing us what was available as far as rentals, food, cakes, photographers, musicians, planning services, etc. The experience was eye-opening and little overwhelming. Despite being overwhelming, I am grateful I attended because I did not realize the options available for traditional and non-traditional weddings. I did not know I could plan my event around my personality, not around a specific cookie-cutter recipe. I did end up hiring my photographer whom I met at this event.
