Austin's Homestead at Pelican Lakes
We got married on the island at Austin's Homestead. The Venue was beautiful and just what we were looking for. Jenn, the coordinator is phenominal! She is easy to work with, she follows through, is very organized and replies to your questions fast! She was by far the best vendor we worked with!!
For those looking to book your wedding here, you may want to reconsider. Beautiful venue, great food, but the customer service was atrocious and our night was ruined by the so called and self proclaimed "wedding coordinator." I should have known we were in trouble when this "wedding coordinator" expressed over and over how good she was. I should have known that actions are stronger than words and someone good at their job shouldn't have to brag on themselves. Since I'm limited, I will hit only the major disasters. First off, two of the "wedding coordinator's" drunk friends walked into our reception, refused to leave, demanded to see the "wedding coordinator"(mentioned her by name and told me they were her friends), and then tried to fight the groom when they were asked to leave. No apology or explanation was given by anyone. Then the "wedding coordinator" left and went home halfway through the reception without saying a word to anyone, and left us to fend for ourselves in closing up shop after she told us she would be there until the end of the event. When I contacted the manager of Austin's Homestead, I received nothing but excuses for the "wedding coordinator's" actions. The manager then told me he would contact me within a week after he had time to speak with his boss to see if a small consideration could be made for our troubles and he never contacted us again. I contacted the manager 2 1/2 months later and was told that he thought he was just going to leave it as it was. UNACCEPTABLE for the amount of money we paid.
I had my ceremony on the Island at Pelican lakes. The ceremony was beautiful! I had it on the actual sand on the beach, it was perfect! It was a little hot as there is no shade.
My reception was inside, in the banquet room. Food was great and so was the service. I did not have an open bar and drinks were a bit pricey for a cash bar. If you can afford to buy some kegs and wine I would do it.
The best part about having my wedding at Pelican Lakes was the staff. The wedding coordinator Jenn Kenders is unbelievable. She did everything I asked her to. She did not forget one thing! She even helped me decorate a bit :) I really feel like she cared for me and our wedding. I highly recommend working with her if possible. Very professional and great work ethic. I must have emailed her 100 questions and she always had time for me.
Thanks Jenn and...
We had our ceremony at Austin's Homestead at Pelican Lakes in Windsor,CO. The staff and gorgeous views were spectacular! The staff really goes out of their way to make your day perfect and stress free too! They handle everything for you and really know how to make you feel special.
For our rehearsal dinner we actually did it AT the place our wedding and receptions was, we had a nice loft, over looking the lake and property, to ourselves and fit everyone. The dinner was set up very nicely, and tables were decorated. We had shredded beef bbq dinner and we served ourselves. They did NOT use Plastic anything! haha I really liked having the dinner in the place we were going to be the next day, we didnt feel as much as strangers as we thought on the wedding day! Beautiful place! Dinner was a little pricey but not bad at all!
