Terry, the co-ordinator at the yacht club does 3 weddings a weekend. It's run like a well oiled machine. She has a great system and everything runs very smoothly. Peter, the chef at the yacht club promised us a terrific meal for the reception and he delivered on all his promises.

Rebuilt in 1998, the Avalon Yacht Club has been one of the Jersey Shore’s most breathtaking private clubs since 1941. With every view
clearly overlooking the water, the Avalon Yacht Club makes an ideal location to hold your wedding. Philadelphia Magazine Best of the Shore 2006, rated the Avalon Yacht Club best of the shore for wedding sunsets.
Weddings are hosted during the spring and fall seasons, but unfortunately not in the summer months between Memorial Day and Labor Day, when the club is in season. At the Avalon Yacht Club a well seasoned staff caters to your every need, whether you have a large, extravagant wedding or a small, intimate reception. When you have your sponsored wedding at the Avalon Yacht Club; memberships for a year is included in the wedding package so you will be able to enjoy the atmosphere for more than just your special day. Wedding ceremonies can take place in front of a magnificent view on the north deck, weather permitting. Otherwise, the ceremony can be held on an indoor balcony.
Terry Thompson, the onsite event manager, will gladly coordinate all planning and details for your wedding. Terry has been the general manager
for the Avalon Yacht Club for the past 11 years. She will assist you in getting the perfect floral arrangements, best entertainment, wedding cake of any kind, favors, and every intricate detail to make your wedding day everything you ever dreamed.
Terry will also help plan your reception around the exact time of sunset, to ensure beautiful wedding pictures with the best background nature can provide.
Peter Mark, the executive chef of the Avalon Yacht Club for 19 years, will provide the cuisine for your special day. From a one entrée dinner, to a choice of three, Chef Peter will work with you one on one to figure out which foods will best cater to you and your guests.
