DJ Jeff was a pleasure to work with, an excellent DJ and an amazing MC. He keenly judged the atmosphere of the crowd and was able to adjust the play list to suit their needs splendidly. His MC skills were top-notch and professional. He was engaging and added a little humor to the evening. Jeff's attention to detail and desire to provide the entertainment I wanted helped make the night all the more memorable.

Our DJ was great! He knew how to get a party going without interfering in the fun. Listen to his advice because he really knows what he is doing.

When my husband and I were looking at DJ, we wanted someone who will keep the party going till there is no one left on the dance floor and Mark did just that. My favorite thing about Mark is that he is very responsive and gives you great suggestions. He really take the time to do the prep work before the wedding. On the wedding day, I was very confident in his work and had nothing to worry about. I cried when he read our love story and my guests were blown away on how it was so meaningful for him to talk a lot about the bride and groom. Mark was very professional and willing to work with our budget and we appreciate that.

I really don't know what went wrong with this DJ. We had Jeff. The music during the dinner at the reception was perfect and exactly what we discussed, as well as the introduction song for my husband and I. But, DJ Jeff switched the instructions for the first dance and the father daughter dance... which left my husband and I waiting on the dance floor for the song we picked to play while the loud "It Had to Be You" introduction was played when it was specifically mentioned not to be, and made my Dad and I rush into our song for our dance, since the intro for that dance song "The Way You Look Tonight" was removed.For the dancing music my husband and I had given him a long list of our music likes and dislikes so he could get a great SENSE of the music we listened to, at Jeff's recommendation, and what was played was SO off the bat 80% of the time (don't even get my husband started on this). And to clarify, It was never asked or suggested that only the music on that "Music We Like" list be played, as it was just to give Jeff a good idea of what we like and don't like. To his credit he didn't play a single song off our "Do Not Play List." To respond to, "Jeff did ask the bride if he could change gears musically but she wanted him to stick to her list of music", all I have to say as probably one of few sober people at the wedding I can clearly recall that no one, and there were plenty of hired people who could have, came up to me during the reception to ask if the music could be changed to get people more interested in dancing. So why this company feels the need to lie to try to make these problems seem less problematic confounds me.As for the bar being outside, as both I and my coordinator are very well aware that was always the planned place for it. The only planned bar removed from indoors was a small service-only bar for dinner time, which wouldn't have made any difference as to the people staying indoors to drink after dinner was over, since to get a drink they would have had to go outside anyways.Yes, outside was beautiful and people were enjoying themselves after the sit-down dinner indoors, but that doesn't make up for the music being off and people not wanting to dance very much inside. I had a couple complaints from my guests saying they were having fun dancing at the beginning of the evening but the music changed too drastically in an opposite direction from what they were enjoying dancing too while on the dance floor (i.e., classic R&B to slow un-danceable techno beats) that they felt less comfortable and left the dance floor. The dance floor was empty pretty much right after dinner and stayed so for pretty much the rest of the evening. Small groups of 6 or 8 would be there from time to time, but mostly it was empty. I would not hire this company again, even though Jeff is a nice guy, who came highly recommended by my coordinator who I loved, there were just too many errors.

The name says it all - Mark is AWESOME! He took the time to get to know us and understand our style, and he executed it perfectly. The music matched our personalities and our guests even mentioned that some of the songs reminded them of us. Our family and friends were dancing all night and Mark knew exactly what to play to keep the energy level high. He turned the wedding into a party!

Awesome Entertainment and DJ Webb really made our wedding special. DJ Webb is a true professional and made our guests feel included and involved without harassing anyone to do the Macarena (but I'm sure he would do that if that's what you wanted him to do). He took our reception to the next level with his poise and style as a Master of Ceremonies. Webb kept everything moving the way we planned, without being too intense about the timing. I guess the greatest thing about Webb is that he is totally human and real (not a character or a cheesy voice) and he is an expert at perceiving how your guests are doing, what they want, and most importantly, how you as the bride and groom are doing, and what you want. He was a really crucial part of making our wedding reception feel like OUR wedding reception-- he didn't just plug our names into the script.Also, if you care about music (my husband and I are pretty serious about it), Webb is totally your guy. He has great taste and knows how to work the music into the flow of your reception. We truly felt like we were listening to the soundtrack of the wedding of our dreams, and everything was timed just perfectly. No awkward transitions or trainwrecks. No dead space or loud moments. Just a lot of dancing, smiling, comfortable people. And that is what we really wanted.If you are checking out Awesome, you will be in touch with Mark Peace Thomas, the owner and coordinator. Mark is awesome, he make my wedding party so alive and flow smoothly from start to finish. There's so many things that I like to highlight during the party, the love story, bridal and groom party introductions, the games, everything went smoothly. Mark is very proffesional and I have no doubt to refer him to all my friend who needs DJ service.

I knew Mark and his work from my friend's wedding back in Summer 2005. Back then, I knew I had to have Mark as my DJ and MC for my own wedding. In Feb'08 I was planning my own wedding...sure enough I booked Mark right after I put the deposit down on my venue. Correction: In fact, before I put the deposit down on Turnip Rose (my venue), I checked the date with Mark to make sure he is available for my date.

A lof of our communications were done through e-mails and his response rate is very high! I never had to remind him to reply my previous e-mail, because he always stays on top on that! (there goes the first star)

We met about 2 months before the wedding to have a walk through of the whole event, and he came up with this very unique idea of 'love story expansion'. On the wedding day, this was one of the HUGE hit to our bridal party and they all love it so much. I just love to see their emotion when Mark executes this idea on that night (there goes the second star)

A month before the wedding, I realised that not only I needed the second sound system (which was already included in the packaage), but I needed a sound man for our live band ceremony. I e-mailed Mark my concern and told him to help get someone who can do the sound system. I checked around, and found out the price is around $800 just to have a sound system and sound man on the day. Sure enough, Mark replied within 24 hours and said, he could get a sound man for only $150!!!! I e-mailed Mark again to make sure we are getting a good deal and that the sound man does his job well. On the day, I was beyond please. No sound feedback, and our church live band can perform without interruption. I gave him a thid star on this point because not having a sound man on the day was a major headache for me. Not only Mark is able to find someone on such a short notice, but he also got me an EXCEPTIONAL deal.

Through our e-mail communication, I told Mark that I love games. Mark told me the idea is to get everybody to have fun and be on the dance floor. I agree!! but I warned Mark I had 'tough' crowds. If you can get my crowds to be on the dance floor...you can basically get anyone else on the dance floor :P. Sure enough, on the day, Mark did this dance competition and most of them got on the dance floor. I was very surprised to see the audience reaction to the whole thing. I give him another 2 stars for the creativity and co-ordination. VERY VERY GOOD JOB!

Another star comes from my dad, who barely speaks English but had sooo much fun during our wedding. After the wedding, my dad asked me "how did you get your DJ/MC? he is brilliant, his ideas are fresh, he def knows what he is doing!! and his equipments.....I bet those are good stuffs huh?"

I would like to stop here..but I think it will be unfair if I leave out another compliments from other family members and friends who ask how did I know Mark? and he is def worth the money. They went on and said our wedding was so much fun and different than other weddings that they have attended. I give him another star for the compliments that I received post-wedding :)

ahhh..and another star for bringing such a great assistant on the day. Jeff is def one of the BEST!!!!

So, total, I would give him the ******** (8 stars) for his work!!

Mark is an amazing vendor, the only DJ I recommend! I am so impressed with his work that I hired him for my own wedding. If you want someone who is dependable, fun, an amazing emcee and DJ and a wonderful person, he is the man for you!

Mark, owner and DJ, did the consultation and contract signing. He was great, offered competitive pricing and was timely and responsive. Our DJ was Jeff. He was nice and played all the songs we asked him to. He had some difficulty directing people in between songs. I was wasn't a huge fan of the songs he picked to dance to, but if you have an idea of most of the songs you want to be played he does a fine job.

I received this dj's information from duxbury catering. I decided to choose a more low-key dj who didn't interfere too much with the party. Keith did a great job and is one of the cheaper dj's that awesome entertainment offers, but still an arm and a leg. Keith is personable and really fun. The only problem was at our last meeting when I felt like he had brushed off a question I had asked. Overall, it was a minor minor hiccup. He kept the party moving and everyone had an amazing time. He was also a great mc.

They really are expensive...I think I paid $1500 for 6 hours. Maybe, that's reasonable, but others said they paid less for just as good a service. I don't regret it, but I would have gone with someone cheaper if I could have done it over.

These guys are incredible! Zan was our DJ and was excellent. We had a tough croud and he got everyone up and dancing. Ask them about the kissing game, it was a hit at our wedding. Zan is highly recommended!

Mark "Peace" Thomas has over 20 years experience and it shows! Mark was patient, flexible and professional. He arrived several hours early to our ceremony location to set up and the musical selections he chose were exactly what my husband and I had wanted. During the reception, Mark created special dances for my groom and I that literally got all of our guests on the dance floor. He created a memorable evening not only for my husband and I, but for our guests as well. Mark Thomas went above and beyond my expectations, I highly recommend him.

Chris and I wanted to thank you so much for being our DJ at our wedding on January 26, 2008. It really made the night. We had so many compliments on the personalized entrances of our wedding party down the stairs of Castle Green. They loved the song and the intros, and all of guests indicated how unique a night it was. "SOOOO different from other weddings they have been to" they all said, and they all agreed that i was an incredibly fun night. The music was perfecdt and the night flowed spectacularly. You kept all of our other staff and vendors in line and on time. Probably the most valuable thing we did was plan out our timeline with you and distribute to all the other vendors so that everyone was on the same page. Since we did not have a wedding coordinator, you certainly stepped in and filled that void. I didn't have to worry about anything! I know Chris and I were originally worried about the expense we were going to, in order to have "DJ Peace", but it was wholly worth it. I could not imagine anyone else being able to deliver like you did. Thank you for making our night magical.

We have been showered with compliments about how great our wedding was and we attribute most of the success at our wedding to Mark + Awesome Entertainment. We are definitely glad we budgeted in other areas and paid a little extra for the DJ/Entertainment because it was worth it was definitely worth it!
