The bagpipes and the drums were exceptional. I wanted it to be a surprise for my brothers wedding and they really made it happen. Their timing was perfect and the sound and selection of songs they played was outstanding. I will definitely be using their services again.

With more then 28 years of professional musical training and performance experience, James Brian will tailor a unique musical program to fit your event.

My current musical affiliations include The Chicago Highland Rifles Honour Guard, as Duty Piper, and The Chicago Shannon Rovers. I have participated in Weddings, Civil Unions, Military and Government Ceremonies as well as private parties and corporate events.

Repertoire ranges from traditional Celtic, Irish, Scottish, Welsh and English tunes to American songs and wide array of traditional Church Hymns.

What ceremony music arrangements can you provide?

Instrumental - Duo, Instrumental - Solo, Instrumental - Trio, Soloist / Vocalist

What is your usual attire?

Traditional Scottish or Irish Bagpiper Attire which consists of Doublet, Kilt, Glengary Hat, Sporan, Hose, Shoes and Spats when appropriate. Attire can reflect military look with Tan Short Sleeve Shirt, and formal wear includes a tux shirt, bow tie and formal "Prince Charlie" Jacket worn with kilt etc. In Summer heat, the uniform consists of a white short sleeve military/police style shirt, unless venue is air conditioned.

Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?

not at this time.

How much time do you usually need for setup?

less than 10 minutes usually.

How much space do you usually require?

minimal

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

Travel within 40 miles of Chicago is included in the booking engagement fee. Longer distances are calculated based on travel time and mileage, parking accomodations are requested in downtown and limited access areas.
