Hope is the main person to speak with at Bakermanns Bakery in Austin TX, located right new the Mariott Downtown. I went in for my tasting and it was unlike anything I've ever done, she had many different cakes and different icings to chose from. We were treated like Royalty the entire time and when we decided what we wanted, we were easily booked. On the week before the wedding my venue had to change and dramatically changed the distance she would have to travel to deliver. She not only understood and was more than helpful in getting new arrangements made, she didn't change me a penny extra for my trouble. Everyone at my wedding gushed over the cake, saying it was truly the best they had ever had! I recommend them to ANYONE getting married in near future. . . You won't regret it!

It is a little hard to rate this experience. We interviewed and tasted the cakes about a year before our wedding. However, during that time, the owner sold the business to an out-of-state person and we didn't hear anything about the transaction. This was an error on the old owner's part. He had contracts with a number of clients and he never notified them of anything. We did not get into contact with the new owner until three or four days before our wedding. We didn't know if we were going to have a wedding cake. However, the new owner was very understanded and even let me come into the closed store to talk to her about the many problems with the order. The old owner had taken our order and twisted it. He had included fondant and the wrong number of tiers. The new owner let us change the contract three days before the wedding and came through with a wonderful cake. It turned out better than we imagined. It tasted great and looked amazing. We will have to see if we get our free one-year anniversary cake that was in our contract on our anniversary, but the new owner assured us that she would honor the contract. I would highly recommend Bakerman's Bakery for your wedding cake. They turned what could have been a horrible mess into a wonderful cake.
