Barbara Callow Calligraphy

For more than 20 years Barbara Callow has been creating custom calligraphy and hand lettering for diverse clientele, ranging from intimate private parties and small businesses to large corporations, marketing and advertising agencies. After earning a Master’s degree in Creative Arts, she continued her studies with a variety of nationally and internationally renowned calligraphers.

Barbara has been featured in publications such as Martha Stewart Weddings, In Style Magazine, Modern Bride, and Letter Arts Review, and her work has been exhibited in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington DC. She also frequently performs as an on-site calligrapher for Gucci’s Celebrity Fundraisers in New York and Beverly Hills, as well as locally for organizations such as the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the San Francisco Opera, and others.

Besides working with many memorable brides worldwide, some of Barbara’s clients include: American Conservatory Theater, Chanel, Dom Perignon, Hermes, Macy’s, Marcel Schurman, Niebaum-Coppola Winery, Pottery Barn, Saks Fifth Avenue, San Francisco Giants, Smuin Ballet, Tiffany & Company, Vogue, Wells Fargo Bank and Williams Sonoma.

Barbara’s unique and elegant style of calligraphy can fill all your bridal needs-- from addressing envelopes for invitations, save-the dates and menus, to penning place cards and table assignments as well as addressing envelopes for birth announcements, anniversary parties, bar/bat mitvahs, graduations, business meetings, convention or special events. She is also available for design services, such as designing and calligraphing invitations, menus, certificates and resolutions, creating product packages and labels, headlines, logos, title designs and greeting cards.

Barbara works with wedding planners, printers, letterpress artists, and designers from coast-to-coast. Her experience, reliability and level-headed sense of humor as well as her large network of available resource people and services have provided many brides throughout the country with reassuring and necessary support as well as important bridal protocol information.
