The Bavarian Inn

We strongly considered this venue. It was large, but to be honest, not very visually appealing for the price. The deer heads on the ceiling and lack of updates were a slight turn off. The event manager that we talked with was very helpful and willing to work with us, so that was helpful, and the fact that they did in-house catering was a plus. But overall, I was a bit too picky for this swedish-village styled hall.

WOW! Was this amazing or what! Who knew they did offsite catering. The food was AEWESOME! Service was awesome.... I had so many poeple compliment on the overall service that they got. Something I love is that they did it all. They came before the wedding to dress up the tables, the cut the cake, provided plates and silverware and the food seriously!! I know a lot of people dont realize they dont do offsite catering but they do!!!

It’s a shame if you live in the Milwaukee area and have never been to the Bavarian Inn before. I went here with my husband several years ago, and it was hilarious! I had so much fun here! There is a huge outdoor beer garden, and then the plates that they serve are huge and really, really delicious! This place accommodates big groups, though we have gone here a few times with just the two of us. For the rehearsal dinner, which was held on a Thursday night, we were able to reserve a table for twenty people without any problems. The servers were really busy making sure that everyone had drinks and water, and our food came out fast and hot. It’s a great place for a toast, too. I really recommend going on a Friday, too.

This was one of the most difficult tasks for us. To find a place that could hold such a large venue, that would allow us to bring our own food, and to extend there hour restrictions, I commend this place. They were extremely flexible to our needs and accommodated us every step of the way. Once again, thank you!

very beautiful place for reception, and they work within your budget

I would have to say that the website really does the place no justice. The website is actually pretty awful when you compare it with so more trendy and expensive looking graphics that other vendors used. The Inn, though, was by far our favorite venue that we visited, and we are very happy that this was the place we choose for our wedding reception. The dinning room is beautiful, it’s rustic looking but still elegant, and it has this great charm to it. The staff here is accustomed to accommodating large parties, so they had no trouble managing all of our family and friends that were arriving at different times from all over the state. The room felt very formal when we were giving our speeches, but then it was a great place for dancing at the end of the night. There is also a huge menu to choose from, and the food is excellent. Again, because they are used to working with very large groups, we may have been an easy group to handle with only 200 people. Also, they are great when it came time for decorating, helping to get the flowers on the tables, and the place settings, too.

The Bavarian Inn provided us with a menu selection from which we could chose from entrees for our guests. There was a great selection for those that ate meat, and they also had some good selections for the non-meat eaters. But this really is a place that serves traditional german food, so expect some great meat selections cooked to perfection.
