We felt comfortable with Dom from the moment we first met. He was very friendly and professional, and took the time to show us a lot of examples of his work. Dom also took the time the day before the wedding to walk through the church in preparation for our big day. We picked up our DVDs a few weeks ago, and we couldn't be happier with them. They're getting a LOT of use...it's rare that a day goes by that we don't watch at least a short clip!

Originally my fiance and I didn't budget for a videographer, but 1 month before the wedding I changed my mind. Let me tell you... it was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST decision of my life!!! (Aside from getting married, of course.) I had to convince my fiance that we needed to come up with additional money, and he was really against it since we were already spending a lot of money on our photographer. When it was all said and done, my husband told me "You were right!" We LOVED how the dvd turned out and it couldn't be any more perfect!! There was soooo many details that we missed on the day of the wedding and Dom captured ALL of it. I spent a whole year of my life planning every little detail of our wedding and the day goes by so fast. Now I actually have something to watch and remember all of those little details.Working with wedding vendors can be a pain in the butt... but Dom was the easiest person to work with!!! He was super flexible when we were trying to schedule appointments, he always responded to emails quickly, he was very professional, and on top of all that Dom is just a great guy! I was a little concerned because he works with a team of people that we didn't get to meet beforehand, but Dom's entire team was really professional, they were all dressed appropriately, friendly to our guests, and were not intrusive at all. On the day of the wedding Dom and his team showed up right on time and we hardly noticed them all day. In the final editing of the video, Dom went out of his way to include little details from our wedding day. Dom did an exceptional job!!! To be able to watch our video and hear the laughter, to hear our wedding vows, to hear my sister's heart-felt toast... each of those special moments is captured forever and I can feel the emotion every time I watch it. You can't capture the same emotion in a photograph. I HIGHLY recommend Dom... you will not be disappointed!!

Dom and crew exceeded our expectations! They not only provided us a phenomenal wedding DVD, but also an exceptional experience all around. What can I say about Dom and his team that hasn't already been admittedly it's hard! Coming from a production background, I was looking for someone who could live up to my standards of video creation. I not only wanted everything filmed in HD, but also wanted to be able to get a Blu-ray disk and had some special needs as well--all on budget, of course. Dom delivered this with pizazz! Even though he is not Indian, he captured all the important parts of my Hindu ceremony and divided up the chapters perfectly. His editing to music is superb, and I very much enjoyed the music video and fun lip-dub that he produced! My wedding was cold and wet (gotta love that November rain!), but Dom's video team worked like pros despite the crazy conditions. Bay area VDO made everything seem even more beautiful than I remember, and I would recommend them to anyone, even the nit-pickiest of brides. Trust me, just tell Dom how you want to remember your wedding day and he will make it happen. Why spend your money elsewhere? Just ask Dom to give you one example of his work. You will look no further! I especially like Dom's way of explaining and very thoroughly going through the work he's done. It confidently gives me the impression that everything on the wedding day will be alright! This is one thing I didn't want to skimp on because of the fact that I had enough things to worry about (aside from saying "I Do").

Our wedding was a hindu ceremony with many details and Dom captured them all in a beautiful and elegant manner. The wedding area was in a very tight space, and we were amazed Dom was able to get all different angles, faraway, close ups, and normal. He also incorporated all my requested songs in the dvd with smooth transitions and finesse. There was a remix clip which captured the entire wedding, and a brief toast interviewing some of the guests. These were unexpected pleasant surprises. Thanks, Dom!He is very talented and very thorough. He was able to customize the dvd with my requests with excellent quality blu rays in beautiful packages. We had also been lazy throughout to collect all our dvds and he kept reminding us, to pick them up as had already paid for them. I highly recommend him. He is an expert with the camera and wonderful to work with.

Dom's work is not just a video. It's a work of art, truly beautiful. It was more than my and husband's expectations. Even the sample video he sent in advance was professionally made. When I asked Dom to move up the delivery in time for my second reception, it arrived before the promised date, with a few days to spare. And the leather cases were an added touch. When I made the contract with Dom, I never saw his work. Being that it was a destination wedding for us and we live in the east coast, I had to put my faith in him that he will do as he promised. The whole thing was simply classy.

As we were planning our wedding, we never factored in a wedding videographer into our budget. However, after long debate with our families we decided that it was imperative to get video because truth be told, the day goes by so fast, that we will never have an opportunity to relive those moments in time. My wife and I tend to cross reference everything we purchase so when it came to finding a videographer, Bay Area VDO Production was actually one of many possible videographers we considered. After meeting Dom in person, we were both sold. His professionalism, promptness, and easy to get along with attitude made us both feel at ease in our decision. After our meeting, I remember telling my wife how happy and confident I feel with Dom and I think it was one of the better decisions we made in our wedding planning process. Weeks before the wedding, Dom would send us emails reminding us of song selections and always asking us if we had any other requests or questions. I appreciated the fact that he was on top of this and it made our lives a little easier without having to worry about something else for the big day. On the day of the wedding, Dom and his assistant showed up on time and began filming. They filmed the entire day and were not intrusive. Most of the time, we even forgot that they were there filming! After the honeymoon, Dom provided our wedding footage and music video on time as promised. The packaging was beautiful as well! Dom has an amazing talent and was able to edit the raw footage into a wonderful edited video for us. He used mostly music that we selected, and it all blended together so nicely! The music video montage was excellent as well. He knows how to draw the viewers into the moment as if they were living it. I can not stop watching our wedding music video. I feel like I am in my own movie and it's a great feeling. Dom definitely exceeded my expectations and we both love our wedding footage. Thank you Dom! I would highly recommend him to anyone planning on a wedding. I understand that most couples don't even consider a wedding videographer because its just something that often gets overlooked due to the importance placed on getting your wedding photographed. First of all I am an Active Duty Service Member serving in San Diego. All of our family lives in the Bay Area. Dom and the rest of the Bay Area VDO Production crew was more than flexible in dealing with our situation of planning our wedding and coordinating with him from San Diego through out the whole process. They helped us coordinate everything from setting up meetings between him and our family for payments, music for our videos, times and places to shoot our video and general wedding tips. Having to coordinate with a client so far away, they were more than patient with us having to communicate through e-mail and voicemails due to my hectic and ever changing schedule due to the miltary. As difficult as it was, Dom made it as easy and as stress-free as possible. On our big day, Dom's staff executed capturing every moment flawlessly. At times, it was as if they weren't even there. The only time we really knew they were there was when one of their staff was actually helping my bride get ready and grabbing last minute things we forgot out of the house for the transition to the Church. We were so excited to see the finished products that we called and e-mailed Dom atleast 3 times a week waiting for the video. As annoying as we might have been, Dom was very patient and understanding; it actually seemed as if he was as excited about our video as we were. I can honestly say that they were able to capture every tear, smile, laugh and cry from our day. Watching what they had made for us gives us the opportuity to relive every moment from our Wedding. Bay Area VDO Production did a great job at recording our wedding. We had VDO do our wedding in April, and the company is totally professional from start to finish. Great service is what we got from the first meeting to the last. Dom, the owner, really cares about his clients and the finished product that he provides. He is courteous, and responsive throughout the whole project, and we were pretty pleased with his service and the product he provides.On the wedding day, he really treated us well, and he did a great job. He and his crew were nice and came on time with no bad attitudes or overblown egos. They did their work in the background and really knew what they were doing. They tried to stay out of the way of the other vendors, and they take requests and special requests seriously. You get the feeling that they really want to give you quality service, attitude and product. We were very pleased with their performance at our wedding. They were one of our best vendors. The actual videos and disc that we received after the wedding were very good too. They provide a beautiful container for the compact discs and the disc labels looked really nice. The quality of the video and sound were great, and his editing was good. My wife and I were satisfied and pleased, and the results ranked up there with many of the other samples wedding videos we looked at before we selected VDO - his product was probably better than most. For the price and the type of equipment they are using, they did a really good job. As a realist, I knew I wasn't going to get a network TV broadcast or a feature film quality video just because Hollywood productions uses so much more complicated equipment, set-up, lighting, and audio. The price for something like that would be super expensive, and Dom did not provide that for us - at least at our pricepoint. I wasn't expecting that, but we did get a fantastic video recording of our wedding day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We're very happy with VDO's service and product.

WE LOVE DOM!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't going to hire a videographer for our wedding but a lot of people said I should, what a memory...I began a search online, came across Bay Area VDO and was impressed with his site and the quality of his work. I called, he was so friendly, his prices were perfect so we met. I was so excited after our meeting and immediately booked him. He is very thorough and explains everything, plus he responds quickly to emails/calls. Day of he and his assistant were great. I've had so many people tell me they were all over the place and so subtle about it. As part of the contract he does a "music video" set to your song of choice that you can send out to all guests. It's a "five minute" compilation of quick highlights and it's perfection. i.e the timing of words in the song to certain parts of the day (sunlight coming in...). Everyone is going crazy about it, I cried the first two times I watched it. I don't know of another videographer who does this extra wonderful service, and my gosh is it spectacular. We are so happy with the final outcome, it is a beautiful video, we have a 3+ hour highlight video, all of the raw footage, and the music video. Plus the presentation of the dvd's is so cute! This is something we'll treasure since neither of us remember 99% of the day. He captured all of the speeches, the special and funny moments that we can relive. When we met with him to get the dvd's he showed us bits and pieces and he was literally everywhere I kept telling him "I didn't realize you were even there..." You will not be disappointed in Bay Area VDO. They are professionals, it's obvious they love their work, and want to please their clients. I am more than thrilled that we hired this company and will forever have a beautiful memory of our day thanks to Dom.

We were SO happy that we found VDO Production to record our wedding this past March. When we originally started looking, we nearly decided not to have a videographer because we couldn't find anyone affordable that wasn't cheezy...until we met Dom that is. Not only is Dom an absolute professional and a dream to work with, he's friendly, has a good sense of humor and is just an overall kind person.On our actual wedding day, I barely even noticed that we had videographers there (and neither did any of the guests). We've been to weddings where the camera is always in someone's face - Dom and his team blended in completely.After the wedding we asked Dom to have our video ready in just over a month since we were doing a mini-reception in another city. Dom worked until the very last second to get this done for us. Not only did the video look great, but Dom constantly kept us updated on the progress and would say things like: "...The video is almost done, but there is one part that I'm only 90% happy with, so I will keep working..." We both loved that he puts the quality of his work above all else.Having watched the video - we are more than happy. Dom really captured the spirit of the day and truly the video takes us both back. Dom and his crew were awesome. I was REALLY hesitant about getting a videographer for our wedding at first, but now Im so happy that I did!Not only did he do a great job in terms of service, but he was friendly, very professional, and totally let the photgraphers do their thing while he and his crew kinda hid in the background.Seriously, half the time, we had nooo idea that he was even THERE! sometimes we'd be just enjoying ourselves during the wedding and randomly we'd look down and there'd be a video guy taping me or my wife, totally hidden, and completely out of our way. My mother decided that we should have a videographer about 3 weeks before our wedding. Being that I live in Germany, I had to do the researching online. I came across bayarea VDO productions and watched about every video that was on the website. When I saw Dom's work, he just spoke to me... I knew that he was the one. Dom called me within a few hours of me submitting my request. After speaking to him, I had no doubt in my mind that we were going to get a very good product from him. Dom and his staff were very discreet at the wedding but they captured every moment. When I did catch a peek of them, they were always genuinely smiling and it seemed they were really happy for us.During the editing process, he spent a lot of time with me patiently helping to find the best song for the "music video." He gave his honest opinion about how most of my choices would affect the flow of the video, until I finally came up with the perfect song. I knew it was the right one when Dom simply said "this is good." He edited the footage to the song in a very moving way and was really invested in the outcome. Now I have a wonderful and concise wedding music video that I can send to all my friends, along with the longer and full versions of the wedding I can watch at home with my husband and family. I can't say enough how lucky we felt that we had Dom as our videographer - he lives up to his reviews, seriously. The quick reasons for getting Dom, because I could launch into a long story about how great he is and how thankful we feel:- He'll capture every single thing (I mean everything, lots of great footage) from your day and make it all look like a piece of art (you can tell he does this for a living because he loves it, and because he's REALLY good at it)- He is very professional, sincere, always up for being in touch and responding to any and all questions right away (I'd like to think I wasn't that bride...but I probably was, he was patient and super prompt in getting back to me about anything and everything I'd ask or want to know or want him to know), and unbelievably sweet.- You literally won't even realize he's at your wedding, in a good way - I was scared that if we got a videographer that the team and cameras would be in our face the whole time, but Dom was the opposite - he got everything and I forgot he was there. A good friend convinced me that I'd regret not getting a video (I was tight on budget, so was considering just asking friends to take some video on their flip cameras), and I'm so glad she told me to get a videographer. There are things you'll get from your wedding video that your photographer (and even friends who take their own videos here and there) won't be able to capture. I feel like I have a hollywood movie version of my wedding, in a great way. Oh!, and you'll get a "music video" of your wedding (a summary of the best scenes, put to whatever music you pick) that you can email friends and family who couldn't be there (you can even upload it to facebook, etc.), and we were given dvds for our parents as well (in Blu-ray! So great).I remember reading these reviews before picking Dom and hoping they were right, hoping I'd get to be on this end now with a beautiful, amazing wedding video...I just feel like I have to let people know all of this, because there are enough things to worry about when planning a wedding and I remember what it felt like to worry and stress and not be sure who was good and reasonable - truly, you can trust the reviews when it comes to him, you won't regret picking Dom.

Speechless. This was both my husband and my reaction when we saw our wedding DVD for the first time. It brought the whole day to life for us again and we were completely swept up in the moment again. We are beyond THRILLED with Dom's work! Like some of the other reviewers on here, we were skeptical about having a videographer but now realize that going with Dom was definitely one of the BEST decisions we made in the entire course of planning our wedding. Dom and his team are completely professional, punctual and true pros and what they do. In fact, we barely knew Dom was there with us on our wedding day but he captured every moment so beautifully and elegantly. I got more emotional watching our video than I did the entire day of my wedding! Hiring Dom was the best decision my husband and I ever made!! Initially, we decided not to hire a videographer because most of the wedding videos we saw were so cheesy. We just couldn't pay so much money for such crappy work. Anyway, two months before our wedding, we searched for videographers again because we didn't want to regret the decision of not getting our wedding day documented. During our search, there were moments where we almost gave in and wanted to just hire someone who's work we didn't even really care for just to get it over with!! Luckily, I found Dom on google! I watched his music videos on Vimeo and totally fell in love with his work! I called him and left a message and within a minute, he called me back! I spoke with him on the phone and liked him already! After my husband and I saw longer versions of Dom's work during our first meeting, we hired him on the spot! We got the 3 camera package at such a reasonable price! On the day of our wedding, he arrived early and was very professional! He gave us our wedding video as scheduled and I teared when my husband and I first watched our music video! He definitely told the story of our wedding day and captured all the special moments. Booking with Dom for our videography was such a great idea! We didn't originally plan for video coverage in our wedding budget, but after getting some wise advice, I looked into an affordable videographer that doesn't compromise on quality. Dom has a lot of experience capturing weddings, as apparent by his large collection of wedding dvds (I would have probably spent hours browsing through them if my now husband wasn't with me). I love how involved he gets in the entire feel of the video footage. He looked for ways to make our video unique and true to our style as a couple, giving us options on various elements on design. It's those extra little touches that make your wedding video feel that much more special.

Dom is super friendly and teamed up nicely with our photographers to capture the wedding. His flexibility and attitude really made him one of our favorite vendors. I highly recommend Dom and his work. His prices are more than reasonable for someone who is so experienced. I'd say that we splurged a little by booking a videographer (since we didn't originally include it in the budget), but booking Dom was definitely more of a save than a splurge.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of working with Dom on 3 major occasions. On all 3 occasions his work was absolutely outstanding. This past August 9rh, he and his assistance did the video for our wedding. Having rented the entire Golden Gate Club in the Presidio, and holding the service and reception in this large building, with multiple rooms and outdoor locations was a challenge to say the least. Bay Area VDO Produciton were the consummate professionals, doing all their work so well that they were " almost invisible " to the event , but tat the same time captured everything that was happening with 3 cameras. From start to finish, the wedding and reception lasted for almost 8 hours. When we met with Dom several weeks later, I was awe struck by the quality of the work , as well as t he most professional editing. There was so much outstanding footage, that rather that the 2 hours video, he had made a 4 hours video. He poured his heart and mind into making out marriage video by far much better than I could have ever imagined . Hiring Bay Area VDO Production by Dom Guntavong and team is/was one of the best decisions we've made as far as our wedding vendors were concerned! From the very start, Dom has been the model professional. One of Dom's enduring qualities as a professional videographer is his ability to treat his clients like people - with integrity and honesty. He does what he says he'll do and isn't one of those vendors that once he gets the deposit, the customer service goes down the drain. Also, Dom understands the photographer-videographer relationship and will make sure he does not step on your photographer's toes. This is really important to consider, since no one likes to have their videographer in their wedding photos!On the day of our wedding, Dom and his team were quite inconspicuous. It was like he was never there, yet he was able to capture all the moments of our special day. When we finally viewed the finished product, we were so amazed because he was able to get this one moment where I told my bride "I love you" and another moment where I kissed my bride and asked for another kiss. This is HUGE because with about 9 hours of raw footage to edit and review, he was able to isolate those moments and put them in the finished product!With such high quality, you would expect to pay a huge amount for it, but with Dom, you simply can't beat his pricing. We got an AWESOME deal with the custom package we purchased. With other videographers, they charged $1500-$2000 more for the same package. Also, with Dom's satisfaction policy (you don't pay the balance due unless you're satisfied with the finished product) it is simply unheard of! And yes, he sticks by that! I'll be honest, there was a slight error on our wedding video, and when we told Dom about it, he apologized and promptly fixed it. Not once did he ever try to collect on the balance due - he acknowledged his mistake, fixed it promptly, and re-delivered the finished product during the timeframe he promised. He made sure we were happy with everything before asking for final payment. Now that's customer service/satisfaction!We highly recommend Bay Area VDO Production!!! My husband and I hired Dom to be our videographer for our wedding this past July. He did an amazing job! We are extremely pleased with his professionalism and creativity. It was not difficult to hire him, he responded very quickly to our initial emails and answered all of our questions and concerns. If you are bride or groom, you?ll understand what I am saying, it?s a LONG day, so much that you are overwhelmed and honestly you can?t remember EVERYTHING that happened that day. To be able to watch the video and relive the moments is amazing. The video was so beautiful it truly capture the special moments. I found myself saying out loud ?I can?t believe he caught that!?, ?Oh my God? ?Awww!? etc, etc. I absolutely LOVE my wedding video and honestly I don?t think a lot of people can truly say that.Dom helped us throughout the pre-production and post-production such as meeting with us face to face, showing us different DVD menu templates and sending email reminders. Dom and his assistants were very professional and friendly! Dom truly cares for the product. For instance, for our wedding music video we choose an upbeat song but he suggested that we go with our first dance song with was a song slow. We didn?t question him because we have total trust in his opinion and knowledge. Me: "Mom, we talked about this 55 times, we do not want a videographer and aren't planning to have one. Why haven't you accepted this fact yet?"

My mom: "What, no video person? Why not? I didn't know this. Let me talk to your father"

Me (to my fiancé): "Please don't kill me but my mother is pushing for the videographer again"

My fiancé: Insert every expletive imaginable.

Me: God help me.

Okay, so he might not be on the same playing field as God, but Dom from Bay Area VDO production definitely came through clutch. As I stated before, it was never our intention to get a videographer. It was three weeks before the wedding and I was a fragile and broken groom and had no more fight in me. My mother wanted a videographer, my fiancé wanted to kill me, and I just wanted to elope. Okay, maybe it wasn't that bad but you get the picture.

I contacted a bunch of videographers and Dom was prompt and professional in response. He understood my predicament and given the quick turnaround, was able to accommodate our schedule and budget. Keep in mind that we were having two (yes two) wedding ceremonies - a Hindu ceremony on Friday night the American version on Saturday. We were afraid that having a videographer would be intrusive and really over the top. Dom was very flexible in his approach and made me feel it as ease. He was on top of everything and was punctual and extremely professional. His team consisted of multiple HD cameramen, an edited DVD, plus an online two minute synopsis.
He was able to put me an ease after a few short conversations. Basically, it came down me to realizing that Dom knew best and that we were in good hands. The package we received from Dom was far less than his competitors in price but not in product.

In retrospect (and in most cases), I'm glad I listened to my mother. Chances are we are going to watch the DVDs many times over the next two months as our family and friends are obligated by association to watch it with us. We probably won't touch the videos again for a long time but I'm glad to know that I have this eternal keepsake of our ceremonies (trust me, I realize how cheesy that sounds). I don't know if this applies to everyone that gets married but the events were/are an entire blur (and this has nothing to do with the booze) and went by so quickly. I am eternally grateful that I can relive these moments (aka laugh at ourselves) and truly appreciate the events as they happened.

Dom is excellent! He is the choice for wedding videography!We planned to interview several videographers and Dom was out first and only. From the first meeting to the wedding videography to the post production, we were confident he would get it done. Everyone's wedding is supposed to be a fairy tale. Often times people's memories will remind them of the little things that might have been different than they planned. "How often does one get married? Well for me, I had never been before nor had I gone through the joys and pains of planning for a wedding...Budget was a highly motivating factor as I went looking for a videographer...and when I started to get disappointed that I would have to sacrifice quality for an affordable videographer who really knew how to capture the big day, imagine my delight when I came across http://BayAreaVDOProdu......I googled it and I took a chance, and boy, did I strike gold!! He is amazing in his ability to put together a wedding montage and that was one of my main criterion for finding a good videographer... Yes, making a 2 hour DVD of a wedding day is great, but come on, let's face it, the family and friends really just want to see a short glimpse of the whole day to be wow'd... He just finished our wedding montage (roughly 4.5 minutes playing to our first dance song), and my husband and I could not have been happier! It seriously looks like the quality of those videos that costed twice as much when I went surfing online for different videographers...truthfully, I believe he underprices by quite a bit, but that's good for me and anyone who catches him soon!! He is worth a great deal more than he charges for...great attention to detail, he and his assistant were non-invasive and super polite throughout the whole day, and so very excellent at editing (which is really the most important thing!)... if you need a talented visionary to express your big day in all its glory on film, this is the company to do it for you!!
