BBJ Linen (Los Angeles)

My venue includes basic linens in their pricing, but we wanted satin napkins, so we rented from BBJ. They have great customer service, great prices, and had such an easy process of shipment for the delivery and return of items so you don't have to deal with pick-up and drop-off fees. They also have pretty much any type of linen you could imagine. I will definitely order from them again for future events I may be involved in planning.

When I called BBJ Linen to place my order they were sweet and quick to fax me the order request. When I requested the celadon lamour napkins with a celadon back (not a cream backing) like it says they have on their website I ran into some problems. They had trouble finding these at their warehouse and it took them 4 days to let me know that they had them. Then they faxed me a paper that listed my order and the price but said my order wasn’t finalized yet. When I called to find out what was going on they said it was finalized and not to worry about it.

In the end, they did show up on time and they were what I had ordered. They were easy to ship back and reasonably priced.

I give them a B because when I would call to check on what was going on they representative was very rude and acted like I was such a burden for trying to order through them.

My husband and I had a good experience with BBJ. They have a wide selection, beautiful fabrics, and we found the exact color we were after. So, why did I give them only three stars? The only way to receive your linens is to have them shipped to the site and returned via UPS which I have no complaints about regarding convenience. The problem was that the linens were creased from being folded in the bag during shipping and they looked awful. Be prepared to either arm yourself with the steamer and spend a few hours ironing the creases out, or just live with it and hope that it's one of the details that only the bride notices.

Expensive, but worth it. Good selection and great linens. 4S required that we used them. I see why!

Kauai didn’t have a lot of linen available for rent, so I opted to use BBJ instead. They have virtually any type of linen you could ever want! They ship them to you (or in my case they shipped it directly to our caterer) and provide a duffle bag with pre-paid Fed-Ex label to return them (you just need to drop them off at a FedEx location or you can call and have them picked up by FedEx).

Maui didn't have many options for linen rentals, so we went with BBJ. they had lovely white hemstitch linen with chiffon overlays. We also did silver eternity sheer napkins and chair ties. All of their linens were in excellent condition and well worth the money.

Plus, I found out after the wedding that my mother actually look several chair ties as mementos. I was horrified by this and told my coordinator ASAP. However, she told me that BBJ often provides 'extras' with any order, and when she did the final count up of all the linens she still had enough for to return the order in full. How nice that I didn't have to pay for this!

The linens looked SO good! They were very helpful when I was trying to decide. They gave me different options and let me take samples so I could try them out with my florist. They shipped them directly to my coordinator and they arrived in plenty of time. I was so happy that I chose them.
