I could not have asked for more when I chose Bryan to photograph our wedding. He listened to what I wanted, and delivered beautifully at a really competitive price. He captured everything I wanted from the big moments to the intimate details. He brought a lot of ideas to the table and really created some great photos as well as documented all the important parts. I can't stop looking at the pictures! What a pleasure it was working with Bryan at BCL Photography! My wife and I were married in Washington, D.C., May 2010. In the months prior to the big day, Bryan was incredibly responsive to our needs and worked closely with us to help create the wedding we had dreamed of. Bryan made things so easy - he had great ideas that were always based on OUR preferences. He was the one thing we didn't have to worry about on our wedding day. The pictures were fantastic and brought out a perfect balance of glamour and casualness that we wanted. With the day being such a blur, it's so great to have the wonderful images Bryan took. Bryan from BCL Photography is awesome! He took my bridal portraits and was the main photographer at our wedding in May. FAQ for BCL Photography
What types of photography do you specialize in?
A: We specialize in WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY. It is an art all its own - great wedding photography requires experience and skill, and we enjoy it immensely. We also really enjoy interacting with you and helping you look the best you can on any occasion. Simply put, we love to shoot PEOPLE. (please don't take that out of context ;-)
Do you have a studio?
A: We do not have a physical studio location. By keeping our overhead low, we can offer you some of the best value in Houston photography. We DO have the portable equipment necessary to replicate studio conditions pretty much anywhere, so just let us know if you have that "classic" studio look in mind.
Are ALL your photos on your website?
A: Nope! We hope you enjoy some of our favorites here, but we shoot COMPLETE weddings. We will be happy to meet with you to show off more of our work (out of respect for our clients' privacy we limit the number of photos available online). Also, please check out the blog for many additional images.
Do you offer digital files on DVD?
A: Yes. Due to high demand, we offer a DVD of edited files suitable for printing along with print release. You can print/upload/send your photos whenever you want, wherever you want.
Do you require a retainer?
A: Yes. The retainer (aka "deposit") is 50% of the package price. This is required, along with a signed contract, for your date to be "booked." After receiving these two items from you we will mark your date as unavailable to inquiries from other people, and we will not entertain any other offers from anyone else. The retainer is non-refundable.
When is the balance due?
A: The balance of 50% is due when you take delivery of the finished products. These are usually available no later than two weeks after your wedding or photoshoot.
Why do you require a contract?
A: The contract is for our mutual benefit. It ensures that neither of us are "surprised" since it states what each of our obligations are. A reputable photographer upholds his agreements and is not afraid to put them in writing.
I would like to book my date. Now what?
A: First, we would like to meet with you briefly to discuss your overall wedding plans and how we can best serve you in your unique situation. This meeting is a great time to go over the contract and discuss any questions you might have. If you wish to pay the retainer at this time, your date is "booked" and we are good to go! We can meet at a time and place convenient to you.
What if your equipment breaks during our shoot?
A: We make it a point to have backups for every piece of crucial equipment. None of your special moments will be missed due to equipment failure or damage.
Are you available outside of Houston?
A: Yes! Houston, Texas is awesome. But there are other great locations where your wedding might take place, and we are happy to meet you there. We find this aspect of wedding photography particularly exciting! Please contact us for more information regarding destination weddings.
What if I have a question that is not listed here?
A: Give us a call or shoot us an email! We love what we do, which also means that we love talking to people about photography. We want to provide as much information as possible to show you that we are serious about taking great pictures!
