BE Weddings

BE Weddings helped us find the band of our dreams for our wedding! They were very easy to work with. The Now and the Forevers was the band we choose and they were absolutely amazing!!!!

My fiance and I were looking for a fun, hip non-cheesy dj for our 8/12/12 wedding. We happened upon BE Wedding Entertainment online and I was promptly contacted by Kevin. He referred us to DJ Goldie and we were not disappointed!

DJ Goldie was super professional, showed up on time, set up quickly and was so friendly and easy to work with. He used a good selection of songs from our song list and our guests had so much fun dancing the night away. We did not have a wedding planner so it was super helpful that DJ Goldie and our photographer worked together to keep us on track with our timeline. Again if you are looking for a cool, friendly dj at a great price call BE entertainment!

I wasn't originally going to have a DJ because everyone I talked to would cost between $1000-$2000. However, about a month before my wedding I figured I'd try again and through BE Weddings I found David Roth and it was only $500 for 6 hours! THANK YOU!!! He did a great job, I gave him a list of what I wanted played and he stuck to it well, he was nice, dressed professionally and there were no problems. I'd recommend him to anyone.

We used the now and the forevers for our wedding. They put on an amazing show! They are a super fun, young, and energetic band who really knows how to get the crowd going. They also learned some songs at our request which was awesome.

We did have some communication problems. We found the agent unable to answer many of our questions. I left messages for the band leader, but he did not call back until the week of the event. I wish we could have spoken more to make sure we were in the same page. The performance did not go exactly how I envisioned. For example, we thought they would start playing after dinner, but they performed during dinner as well. Also, I wish they had played more pop songs that they have on their website.

Overall, they were incredibly talented and fun but a bit frustrating leading up to the event. If you trust they will show up and can defer to their expertise, you will love...

BE Entertainment and Now And The Forevers were amazing! I cant tell you how many of our wedding guests stopped to let us know that this was the best band they had EVER seen at a wedding! I can not express enough just how much they added to our wedding day. Best money spent for sure!

Our wedding was planned very quickly, and we didn't have a lot of time to pick songs or anything. We told Peter Foti what we wanted, what kind of music we liked, and he gave us some ideas for a first dance song. It all worked out very well - he read the crowd well, and everyone thought he did a great job. We danced our buns off!

DJ Shyne was fantastic. We provided him with a good list of must play songs and do not play songs, as well as the general vibe/feel of the music we wanted for different parts of our wedding ceremony/coctail hr/dinner/reception and he really did a great job selecting music that fit our tastes, as well as reading the crowd and keeping the party lively. We had probably 98% dancing participation the whole night, even up until the night ended! (Even my deaf grandmother with a walker was up on the side of the dance floor, not wanting to miss out on anything!). When I rate BE entertainment, I'm really just rating DJ. Shyne, who was awesome.

Our DJ, J Boogz, was fabulous. He was extremely flexible with a last minute venue change and always available to discuss ideas or music changes. On the day of the event, J Boogz was energetic and entertaining - he kept our party dancing most of the night - from kids to the adults. I would definitely recommend him.

Road Soda was great and really kept the dance floor alive the etire night. I must have listened to 50 different bands before finding them as I was very picky. They were by far the tightest band by far!!

Our wedding band, Now and the Forevers, was the most-complimented attribute at our wedding. They sounded excellent, were accommodating with requests leading up to the event, and were approachable and helpful throughout the night. We appreciate the help Kevin at BE gave us in finding them..great job by all.

DJ Shyne (Jeff Mader) was amazing! My husband and I have very different tastes in music, so he was perfect. He mixed our own version of our first dance song to incorporate two different artists doing the same song so that we didn't have to choose between the two.

I learned about my DJ through Kevin at BE. Kevin got in touch with me quickly through Wedding Wire, listened to what we wanted for our music and the type of DJ we thought would work best for us and recommended DJ Shyne (Jeff Mader). Everyone at BE was friendly, helpful, and very responsive and flexible. If you need help picking a DJ, contact BE!

Hire DJ Lee for your event - he kept people dancing the ENTIRE wedding and played all the perfect music.

DJ Ryan was very pleasant to work with. From the initial consultation to the final wedding night, he was very organized, respectful, worked with our tastes in music while offering his own suggestions based on past experience, and most importantly, had people dancing all night. I only have good things to say.

Groove Authority was the BEST band we could have asked for. We received more comments on the amazing band than anything else! A couple people got their info because they NEEDED to have them at their own events. The energy this group brings is like no other! People were on the dance floor for every single song. My favorite part is that they dance a bit themselves! A very unique band with amazing voices, and a perfect choice of music. I was just as blown away as all of my guests. Behind the scenes they’re very professional and experienced. I would certainly suggest this band for anyone looking to have a lively event!

Band learned several new requested songs, received great reviews from guests and did a tasteful job during the ceremony with acoustic guitar and flute.

Kevin at Boston Eventworks was very helpful in finding us a good band for our wedding. He gave us some good information about the various bands, and then negotiated with the band leader on a reasonable price and services for the big day. Their review show is also a great time - we highly recommend it!

This band played at my sisters wedding a few months back, and everyone had a great time. The selections we right on point and everything just sounded seamless.

DJ Boogz was everything we ever wanted in a DJ. I was so glad I met him at a showcase. He was a great MC, very professional and yet fun at the same time. People loved the music and him. They have a great online planner that helps you choose, plan and keep track of your entire event. I would highly recommend him!

Rick Colbourne was an absolute DJ'ing genius. He was the most easy-going vendor we worked with - kind, prompt in communication, and relaxed. Our wedding was an amazing dance party - dance floor was packed for the entire time, no one wanted to leave. Rick was amazing.

Steve and The Band Brandy were fantastic.

We had some issues with the person in charge of the facility but Brandy stepped up and took control of the situation.

People are still talking about the band and how they got everyone (and I mean everyone) up and dancing.

We would highly recommend Steve and the Band for any event.

Brandy Band was simply amazing in all aspects! Music was phenomenal, professionalism was incredible and they made everything run smoothly to keep the night rolling and fun! Loved them so much! Would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

The band itself 'Now and The Forevers' were FREAKING AMAZING!!!
They were really the only band that we saw at the showcase that even came close to what we were looing for, and frankly the only wedding band I've ever seen that didn't seem like a "wedding band"...my husband and I have eclectic music tastes and we were convinced that we couldn't have both the music we love and make it accessible to grandparents, parents and friends all in one place - but this band proved us wrong. I cant get over the song choices: David Bowie, Biz Markie, Nat King Cole, Adelle, The Beatles... b-sides Talking Heads?!!! are you kidding me?! AMAZING!!! Somehow they took their already amazing list of songs and narrowed it down to the most perfect set of songs that seemed tailor-made for us. SO, SO, GREAT! I hope someone else that we know hires them and then invites us to their wedding!

First off let me say I hate to give bad reviews, but I also hate to think of other brides having a disappointing experience like I had. The company was pretty good to deal with, they got back to me quickly, stayed within my budget, really had no problems. The issue was with the dj, who I liked and thought was very nice. I was super excited to get Dj joe Pet for my wedding. The problem was that he forgot to send me the worksheet for the wedding music and by the time I got it and he needed it back by, I really didnt have as much time as I needed to figure it all out. I was really surprised when at the wedding there were many songs played I had deleted from my playlist(they were most of the songs that were played actually). Also, i requested no hiphop be played...bc I knew most of my husbands family (and half of my own) would not like it. Sadly, it was played.
I was also really disappointed that DJ Pet, whom was named in our contract to be my dj and master of ceremonies, had throat surgery right before the wedding and was unable to mc the wedding and had to have his assistant do it...who in my opinion was not nearly as good as DJ Pet (from the videos I saw).
Lastly, I requested that there be no father/daughter dance and in the middle of the reception, when I was half in the bag, I was taken by surprise when the dj came up and told me the song was all set for that dance, then announced it....wtf?
I was just really really disappointed.

Shine really delivered fun and entertaining music that got everyone on the dance floor. Even though the venue was on the hot side Shine was able to get everyone out of their seats and moving. The ceremony music was perfect for the venue. We were extremely satisfied and received numerous compliments throughout the night. Shine was fantastic.

Rick was great. We chose him out of a list of several vendors and we are so happy that we did! He's a great guy and is great with kids.

I initially was going to not have a DJ and just go the ipod and speaker rental route. But Boston Event Works gave me $600 DJ deal I couldn't pass up. Big mistake. I initially signed up for a different DJ but when the discounted rate changed, so did the DJ. DJ Jesse Potter did not have a website or any sample audio/video files I could review. I trusted BEW and DJ Jesse when they said he did many many weddings and he was professional and experienced. My husband provided him with 140 songs to fill the preceremony, cocktail, and dinner with; then just a sample of the type of dance music we liked and asked him to choose similar music in the top 40/hip hop genre. We also filled the DJ procedure list stating important songs such as ceremony processional, bridal walk, post ceremony walk, intro reception song, first dance, etc. The DJ played the wrong post ceremony song, did not play ANY music during cocktail hour, wrong intro song, and wrong first dance song!!! He did not make any announcement of the first dance so when he played the wrong first dance song, we stood there wondering what the hell was going on). During the dancing portion of the reception he kept repeating the same songs over and over and when he didn't repeat he played techno instead of what we requested. When guests asked to change the music he blamed the song choices on my husband.
Thank god my guests are fun and easy going and had a great time anyways. I brought up all these issues a couple of days after the wedding because I didn't want to ruin the wedding and cause a scene. The DJ did not apologize or admit to any wrong doing.

ALL and ALL...a disaster!!! Boston Event Works did its best afterwards to remedy the situation and their customer service is good. But I would not recommend DJ Jesse Potter.

DJ Boogz did a great job; we were very happy. We still continue to get compliments about him from our guests. We were very pleased and would highly recommend him. He'll also be our first choice for any future events.

DJ Shyne was an excellent DJ! He was always easy to get in touch with both in person and by e-mail, and he was very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. He was helpful in offering suggestions for music and the order of events for our wedding ceremony without being pushy. For the reception he had a great DJ personality that wasn't too "out there" but also kept everyone having fun and dancing. We even got lots of great feedback from our wedding guests about how great a DJ he was. The charge for our reception also seemed very reasonable compared to other DJs we reasearched in the area. Highly recommended!

Working with BE Wedding Entertainment was very easy and simple. Everything was clearly laid out and explained, and we were provided all of the information we needed from our first inquiry.

The band that played our wedding, Superband, was fantastic. We received several rave reviews from guests throughout the night. The band did a great job of keeping everyone dancing all night long, and played music all ages enjoyed. We were very happy with Superband, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, young band to play at a wedding.

Kevin was phenomenal and helped us find our band - Afterparty. They were great! They provided a jazz trio for the cocktail hour and 4 hours of reception music for a very reasonable price. We heard lots of compliments from our guests. They played all our "must plays," and did a great job MCing the night. Our friends and family danced all night. The band played music even as they were packing up at the end of the night, and people didn't want to get off the dance floor. They really played great music, including some Johnny Cash and Sublime's cover of Scarlett Begonias. Their whole playlist is really great. I definitely recommend them!

We were originally going to have a laptop set up but changed our minds at the last minute. We decided that we needed an Emcee to keep the flow of the event going. We went to one of the BE wedding open houses at the Hard Rock café in Boston – just to check it out. We met Jeff Mader who heads up the DJ team and he said that DJ Ryan was available on our wedding date. He gave us a great price - $1200 for 6 ½ hours. Ryan played music at our ceremony, during the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. From the beginning, we loved Ryan. He got that we wanted specific music and that we were non-traditional (we played an instrumental version of Friday I’m in Love by the Cure for the bridal march). He listened to us but also shared his wisdom. He even drove down from New Hampshire on a rainy night to meet us at the venue. We had concerns about location of the DJ booth during the ceremony so we met to discuss. He even sent a text when he was running late. He was the only vendor to follow up with me the week of the wedding (he beat me to it).

We had one glitch: the mother/son song was the wrong file. His computer screen said it was the right song but the audio file was wrong. He was mortified and apologized profusely. He also gave us an additional 30 minutes to make up for it. My husband told him that he had given us a moment to remember and laugh about later. Most people didn't even notice. Had Ryan not been so attentive during the planning process, we might have been upset but we knew it was an honest mistake. We would still highly recommend DJ Ryan.
The music was fantastic. All of our guests were on the dance floor (people ranging from 30 to 65) to the point where there wasn't any room on it. People are still sending my parents emails about how much fun they had dancing. My hubby and I spent the night on the dance floor. It was awesome!

I worked with DJ Shyne and from the very beginning he was incredibly responsive and professional. He really listened to what we wanted and definitely kept the dance floor going. We definitely got a great value for his services and he could probably charge a lot more than he did! I would recommend him to ANY friend who was planning a wedding or other major event.

DJ Erik was exactly what we were hoping for! He was such a nice guy to meet initially that we had a feeling he would follow through with a great performance, and he did. So easy to plan our wedding reception with. He did a perfect job making announcements, introductions and keeping the night moving along. He is articulate and fun! When it came time for the dancing to really start he kept the good songs coming and kept the dance floor full! DJ Erik showed up early, looked professional and was a pleasure to work with. I would Highly recommend him!!

Outstanding overall experience from start to finish. Marie and I greatly appreciate how easy the process was and the Superband was top notch. We're trying to figure out how we can hire them again in the near future they really made the reception.

DJ Shyne was fantastic! He was flexible in meeting with us, did a good job at catching the type of music my husband and I wanted and we were overall very pleased with our experience. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ. Very professional and on the younger side....which we liked. Since we're a young couple we didn't want to have some 50yr old DJ (no offense intended!)

BE provided helpful information from the very beginning. Asked questions to find out the type of music we were looking for and our budget. They found an amazing band that I would highly recommend for any event.

Rare Form Band and their professionals were absolutely fantastic!! Responses to questions were always prompt and friendly and everything was done with complete professionalism.

The band itself was AMAZING! I am still getting compliments on how great Rare Form Band was! They can play EVERYTHING! For a moment it sounded like Robert Plant was actually there to sing our first dance song... I highly recommend Rare Form Band and everyone that works with them. They were grade A, top shelf, and one of a kind.

Our DJ, Jeff Mader (DJ Shyne), did an unbelievable job at our wedding. He kept the party going the entire night and played the music I had requested. I would definitely book DJ Shyne again for my future events, and would recommend him to my family and friends.

Since band is booked so far in advance (more than a year), the agent or band should call the client the week of the wedding to remind them that the balance is due by check on the night of the wedding!

Oops, I forgot and no one reminded me - very embarrassing for me and I realize these people need their money right away!

Stardust band was fabulous! I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a rockin' party.

DJ Lee definitely knew how to keep the dance floor packed! The music was lively and energetic all night and he took our song requests into account all along the way. The only issue we encountered was in regards to the direction of a speaker. At the beginning of the night, one speaker was facing a table with a sleeping baby and the family had to complain a couple of times before it was resolved when the father of the groom stepped in. While we wish we'd realized this was a problem sooner, it was solved after that point, and the evening was a great success. Thank you so much!

Great to work with! Helped us find the perfect band for our wedding. They had a wedding showcase where we were able to see 5 bands play short sets in one night to get a taste of what each band was all about.

We attended a wedding showcase where we were able to view a number of wedding bands which was extremely helpful. Kevin Baker was very professional in his dealings but my one criticism would be that once we booked, we never heard from BE Entertainment again. It would have been nice to recieve a check-in email just to know that we were still confirmed with the band. We had to reach out to the band before the wedding to work out all of the logistics. There was no other interaction from BE.

We used BE Entertainment to book the band Groove Authority. We really liked the wedding showcase to help compare bands, it really helped us pick the right band. BE Entertainment was very helpful and responsive to any questions that we had and the contract process was fast and smooth. Everyone at our wedding loved Groove Authority and we couldn't be happier.

Everything was fantastic - DJ Dave was great - kept the dance floor packed all night - kept things running on time and had pretty much any music that was requested by our guests. Wouldnt change anything at all if we could go back and do it all over again - it went over PERFECT
