Jim was great! He had good reccommendations. He took the time necessary to explain the process to us. He was respectful of the ceremony and the church. He was technically proficient. He took the time to get to know us so that he could understand our style and what we like. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Jim and his assistant photographed my wedding on 08/25/12 in Boston. Jim made the entire process really easy. Before we booked him, he showed us samples of his previous work and explained what makes his work the best. Jim was also really willing to work within our budget. We did an engagement shoot with Jim for free at a state park near his house! The pictures were great and we used them to decorate our reception.
Just before our wedding, when I was at my craziest, Jim sent us a packet with everything we needed to know and expect for our wedding. On our wedding day Jim really took charge and was able to get all of our family shots and plenty of couple only shots throughout our venue within 45 minutes so my husband and I could get a few minutes alone before the reception! He took all of pictures that we wanted and plenty of candid shots as well!
The day after our wedding, Jim posted a beautiful sample of our wedding pictures on FaceBook. We received all of our low-res digital negatives within a month of our wedding. It took us over a month to get back to Jim with our album selections, but within a couple of weeks of us selecting the pictures he already had an initial layout for us. After we commented on the layout, Jim had revised the layout, and sent it back to us within a day. I am really excited to get our real album!! I had a wonderful experience with Jim and I would recommend him to anyone! I have heard so many horror stories from brides who had a bad experience with their photographer. Jim was the complete opposite, he's organized, honest, and will take great pictures of your wedding that he will deliver as promised!!

I couldn't ask for anything more in a photographer. Jim was on time if not early to my wedding taking picture of me where I was getting dressed. He also had time to take pictures of the men. (I was running late...typical me !) I also had an assistance which was the best value of all. I recommend this to all brides it's worth the extra cost !! I got amazing backlit pictures.

Jim was professionally fun!! He worked with our budget and made sure he got the shots we really wanted.

Jim is personable and accessible. He took us to his studio and spent ample time with us developing our vision. He showed us many examples and listened well to get a sense of what style would suit us best. He offers a variety of packages to suit any budget, which we greatly appreciated. His retouching is excellent, and he is sensitive to the needs of a detail-oriented bride!

My husband and I could not be happier with our wedding pictures. It was a pleasure working with Jim from our first meeting through the completion of our album. The day of the wedding Jim and his assistant proved to be both professional and very helpful. Although all the traditional pictures are beautiful it is the little moments Jim caught that I love the most. We had such a difficult time picking our favorites we decided to increase the size of our album. We would definitely recommend Jim and Beacon Hill Photography for your special day.

Jim Hoopes is amazing to work with. He is genuine and real. He listened to all my suggestions and made sure I got the shots I wanted for my pictures. I was so happy with this photographer. I paid a bit more because of things that I wanted. I have the most beautiful weeding album, it is not your traditional 24 8x10, though he will do that for you. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience. Plus it included my video as well
