Beautiful Life Salon

I used Linda at Beautiful Life Salon for my hair and makeup. I was specifically looking for an Asian makeup artist because Asian makeup (especially eye makeup) can be very different from Caucasian's. My makeup and hair were beautiful, classy, and very natural looking. She also uses an airbrush technique to apply foundation, which made the makeup go on smoothly and last for a long time w/o having a cake-y feel. It's not a fancy, upscale salon, but if you're an Asian bride and are looking for an Asian makeup artist, check this place out for a trial run!

Linda Lin (my make-up and hair and bridesmaids' make-up) and Jen (bridesmaids' hair) did a fabulous job with the my bridesmaids' and my hair and make-up!! She and Jen came to our hotel right on time and stayed with us for the next 8 hours!

We had one African-American bridesmaids and two Caucasian bridesmaids and the rest Asian-American (including two mothers) and we all looked so beautiful! I loved my eye make-up, as well as the eyelashes. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous and felt incredibly sexy in their ensembles. Linda has a great eye for beauty and was very helpful in determining our looks. She was not afraid to use her wealth of experience to give advice on what works and what doesn't She also had a few pieces that we ended up using. I totally recommend her services!!

So I originally found this place on Yelp. Then I asked a bunch of people if they heard of this place, and apparently this salon is pretty popular among the Asian community. My sister knows a hair dresser here. My cousin got her hair updo here for her wedding. My best friend gets her hair cut regularly here. So I figured this would be a good place to get my hair updo for my Chinese wedding banquet.

My mom and I went to get our hair done the morning of the banquet. Unfortunately, my mom wasn't totally impressed by their workmanship, and there was nothing amazing about my updo, either. So our hair updos were just good enough. They didn't look like the photo we picked out, but there was no way we could have done any better. Plus, the updos were only $45 per person (a super deal!), and our hair stayed up throughout the night.

I ended up making an appointment for next month to get my haircut mainly because of their strong reputation, low cost, and pleasant experience with the hair dressers

I have finally found a salon that I absolutly love. I've gotten my hair cut and highlighted here. they know how to deal with asian hair. I also hired them to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. Linda did my hair and makeup. In my entire life, nobody has ever gotten my makeup right..until now. I highly recommend this salon. I can't believe how great my hair and makeup came out! Thanks so much!

Linda Lin did a FABULOUS job for my wedding day makeup and hair! I always have problems finding makeup artists that understand asian faces and hair, and since Beautiful Life Salon has primarily asian clients, it worked out well! Linda charged me $55 for hair and $55 for makeup ($45 hair trial, $45 or $55 makeup trial)...kinda awesome, and she is just so incredible at her job. Highly highly recommend her.
