Beauty on Location by Liz

Liz was wonderful! First, I contacted her very last minute (less than a month before my wedding). She was the first to respond to my emails and answered all of my questions very quickly. She also worked well with my very vague idea of what I wanted (she was able to work off of a few pictures that I liked and the "feel" of my dress/wedding). She did all of this without a trial! My hair was perfect and my makeup was the "not wearing makeup" look that I wanted.

Liz is absolutely wonderful and very talented. Originally I was going to do my own hair and makeup on the big day but changed my mind a couple months before my wedding. Not only was she available on my wedding day, she even came out to my house to do a trial to make sure we had the right style of hair and makeup that I wanted.

To give you an idea of how wonderful Liz is, we threw her a couple of curveballs on the day of the wedding.

Two days before our wedding, I went and got a spray tan so I wouldn't look so pale and I forgot to mention it to her until the day of; she was able to match the shade I got and was able to make my makeup more dramatic. I felt so beautiful and confident (something I needed after feeling a little nervous about my tan).

Next, my husband decided to shave the night before and irritated his neck to the point where it was bright red and bumpy. Liz was able to airbrush him and make it look completely natural. No red bumps and no looking like he was wearing makeup.

Basically, Liz is a miracle worker.

Liz is SO amazing at what she does. She made my bridesmaids, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, grandmother beautiful. She accepted my last minute changes without hesitation and exceeded my expectations. She has eye for make-up and hair, and I can't recommend her enough. She was very responsive to my emails and I can't praise her work enough!

Liz did an amazing job on my wedding day. She made me look and feel beautiful. Liz came to my hotel, on time and in great spirits. She made me feel at ease and listened to what I wanted done. Liz understood exactly what I wanted, and made it look even better than expected. I received many compliments from my guests about how my hair and make-up looked. Liz was amazing. I had contacted her several months before my wedding along with several other vendors and when I got busy with other details and let this piece of the planning fall to the wayside, Liz was the only vendor that I had contacted that bothered to follow up and check in. Then, she provided amazing flexibility around when and where to do my and my flower girls hair agreeing to work in two different places that day so I could help coordinate final details at the venue while she did my flower girls hair.

Then came my hair and makeup. It was flawless. I can only hope to look that good again some day! So many people complimented my hair and makeup that night. She listened to what I wanted and recreated the look so expertly. She also did my four year old flower girls hair to perfection and so that it actually stayed in place through the night (something I can never get it to do!). Liz was sweet, flexible and a consummate professional. Her prices might be a teeny tiny bit higher than some others, but she is worth every single penny!

I was very happy with Liz's services. She was very accommodating with scheduling my trial and on the day of the wedding itself. I had a lot of compliments on my hair and make-up on the day of the wedding and my bridesmaids and moms looked beautiful.

Highly recommended! Liz was very professional, timely, and lovely to work with! She totally nailed the look I was going for! She's also flexible in working with you to keep you within your budget.

I searched long and hard for a hair and/or makeup artists and you get both with Liz. She is seriously incredible! She brought two additional assistants (one hair, one makeup) and all three of them were outstanding. I needed a stylist who would come to my venue so Liz's "on location" aspect was perfect for me. She was on time, extremely friendly, fairly priced, and did a phenomenal job on my hair and makeup (I was the bride). She also did an amazing job at my trial and she is willing to do whatever you want and if you don't like what she did you can tell her and she does not take it personally at all and will fix it until you love it. If you are getting married soon, book Liz and her team. She is truly wonderful.

The first thing that I liked about Beauty on Location by Liz was her professionalism and quickness with communication. Liz was always available for questions and I rarely had to wait longer than a day for a reply via email.

Liz was very willing to work with me to find my desired wedding day look during my trial run. She could tell if I wasn't happy with something and she was more than happy to make changes until I found the look I wanted.

On the wedding day, Liz and her assistant showed up early and worked very efficiently. The bridesmaids were surprised with how quickly they got each of their hair and makeup done, The bridesmaids all raved about how much they loved the results. I loved how my hair and makeup turned out as well.

I hired Liz to do my hair and makeup for myself, my 5 bridesmaids and my mother the day of our wedding. Liz did such an amazing job! There was plenty of communication between Liz and myself, as well as my bridesmaids - which lead to a happy bridal party! My girls looked and felt amazing and so did I! Liz uses top of the line products and equipment and is a true artist. She is very talented and is not satisfied unless you are satisfied. A couple of my girls decided to change their hairstyles in order to be more comfortable on the dance floor and she was extremely patient and worked with them until they were 100% satisfied. I adore Liz and I would hire her again in a heartbeat! She is hardworking and very talented at what she does.

She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and also a trial run the day before since it was a destination wedding and I couldn't get there for a trial any sooner. My hair (which seldom cooperates when I do it) looked absolutely amazing! After the trial run, Liz even changed up the hair style a bit so no one would see the wedding look at the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner.

It poured rain (and even hailed a bit) during our (outdoor) ceremony and I got a little bit wet (we were standing at the edge of the covered terrace), but even after that my hair and makeup still looked great!

Liz also styled all of my bridesmaids' hair and they each looked great! She was happy to make changes when one of them decided she wanted her hair a little different than originally styled. In addition, Liz did hair and makeup for my mom, stepmom, and mother in law and they all looked great!

Liz arrived on schedule early in the morning and had us all done with time to spare. Everyone loved her and it's pretty amazing when you can work with 9 different girls and not have a single complaint! Liz is a true artist with hair and makeup and I have never been happier with how I looked.

Liz did fabulous job with hair/makeup for my wedding. She does not insist on piling on makeup as many other makeup artists do (I wanted to look like myself for my wedding). She has a very natural look that shows up well in pictures and did excellent hair styling as well. Liz is very reliable and worked on time. I would highly recommend her for her professionalism and her artistry for your wedding.

I would recommend Liz 200%! I wasn't sure what I wanted exactly for my hair style and she was so sweet, understanding and patient with me and my indecisiveness. She even came to my house for a second trial run to try more hair styles. The day of the wedding, it was absolutely perfect! My make-up was amazing, too! My 6 bridesmaids also had their hair and makeup done. We all looked fabulous and it was so much fun getting pampered! Liz's assistant was great as well!

Leading up to the wedding day, Liz responded to all of my emails so quickly. I wish all of my vendors would have been that great! I wish Liz could do my hair and makeup everyday!! (If you think the price is high, it is SO worth it!)

Liz was fantastic, we did a trial a month before the wedding which was great to get to know exactly what I wanted. We tried out false eyelashes (pretty, but decided too much for my simple country wedding) and different hairstyles (tried formal, then went with a casual up/down with soft curles). Liz came all the way up to my venue and did hair and makeup for me and my 2 girls, then my grandma decided she randomly wanted her hair done too. Liz didn't bat an eye, she said sure and made my grandma happy too :)

She showed up early to the wedding, and is very casual and easy to get along with. She recommended a few products to help with my skin as well, which is great as I never know what to use. The day of the wedding was terribly cold and windy, so Liz made the curls tighter than we did in practice, so that they were soft my the time the wind was done with them! She definitely knows tricks of the trade and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to look their best on their wedding day! Also she knows how to do makeup that looks great both in person, but also on camera which is...

Oh my gosh, I wish I could get married again just to have Liz do my hair/makeup again! She was absolutely amazing! I don't have a phone so the only way I could contact her was through email and she was great about getting back to me at the end of each day. She changed my schedule for me 3 times to accommodate changes to our day. All of this on top of the fact that my hair and makeup looked AMAZING, as did my bridesmaids. Great beautician!

Liz and her assistant did the hair and makeup for my bridal party for my wedding on 03/24/12 in Berkeley, CA. She did a fantastic job! She came to my parents' home for the trial and immediately made me feel comfortable. On my wedding day, I decided to make a few tweaks to my hair, which Liz was able to easily understand and execute. All of my girls told me how much they loved their styles and had nothing but glowing compliments for Liz. I received numerous compliments on my own hair and makeup, which withstood a full day of rain and wind. In addition to be talented, professional, and a great value, Liz is such a lovely person. I would absolutely recommend her to any bride.

Liz is incredibly kind and great at what she does. Not only are you getting someone skilled but also a great person who is nice to talk to. She is willing to travel and accomodates a busy schedule well. She listens well to exactly what you want, or if you prefer, uses her creatvity to create from her own unique ideas. My bridesmaids and I all looked great and loved working with her. She could probably charge a lot more than she does!

Liz is amazing. She did a hair-trial with me the day before the wedding, and didn't stop until I was happy with what I saw! Which didn't take long because Liz is very skilled. In fact, my hair stayed in for almost 30+ hours of travel (as we left for our honeymoon right after the reception). So that proved the hairdo will STAY! She did an amazing job on all my gals too. Her assistant was amazing too! HIRE her and you won't be dissapointed. She will travel to you and is a sweet, sweet person to talk to. I even tried to invite her to my wedding :-)

Liz did my hair and make up for my wedding day and I am so happy she did! She gave me the look I was hoping for =) She is extremely sweet and professional, and she is very detail oriented. She and her assistant Gloria made me and my bridesmaids feel so pretty that day! Liz was a pleasure to work with, she is prompt at responding to communication and always on time. She listened to what I wanted and was able to make it happen, she is very talented, I wish I could hire to do my hair and make up everyday. I would highly recommend Beauty on Location by Liz for hair and makeup. She is extremely professional and attentive. At the trial run, she was very interested in establishing what I wanted and being sure I was happy with the results. She was extremely prompt the day of, spent a lot of time perfecting my hair/makeup and then making sure I was happy before she left. She even offered that I could call her if anything came up. In researching online I felt her prices were very reasonable as well. I liked that for my hair and makeup although it was styled more than I could have done myself, it still felt natural. I got many compliants on my hair updo that day. I like how friendly, honest, and down to earth Liz is - it kind of felt like someone I knew was doing my hair.

Liz was so sweet. She was very responsive and open to what I wanted. She changed her scheduled trial days so she could do my trial on the day of my bridal shower, and she did a great job of listening to what I wanted and adjusting things to look the way I wanted. I have been telling everyone just how amazing Liz is to work with. Not only did she get my hair to do things I honestly never dreamed were possible, she was such an absolute joy to work with. Her dedication to making the client happy was so obvious during my hair trial when she was so willing to try various styles until I had the exact one I wanted. I showed her photos of hairstyles that I liked but assumed that much of what I liked was impossible what with the length of my hair and its fine texture, but she really worked magic with it! The style I ended up choosing from the trial made me feel wonderful and I went into my wedding day knowing I wouldn't have to worry a bit about my hair. But more than her artistic talent, I truly appreciated her wonderful personality. The get-ready stage of a wedding should be relaxing and exciting and full of lovely thoughts about the day and your gorgeous groom, with as little stress as possible. Her warm and friendly attitude really helped make that happen. There's something to be said about surrounding yourself with good, kind people on the day of your wedding and that's why I would highly recommend Liz to anyone!

Liz was one of my favorite vendors, and it was very convenient that she arrived at our hotel room on the day of. I was certain that I wanted a natural look for my wedding day, done by someone who didn't insist I had to wear more makeup to look good in pictures (with the result of looking like a clown in person). I think I hit the jackpot with Liz, as she admitted to me during my trial that she said she "kind of specializes" in giving a more natural look. I was very happy with the makeup that she gave me, my bridesmaids, and the mothers on my wedding day. I was also impressed with how she managed to create a pretty updo with my short hair (between chin and shoulder-length), although unfortunately some parts of my hair began to come undone fairly soon after she left. Overall, her professionalism was exceptional, and I am so glad that I booked Liz -- if I get asked by my engaged friends for tips, I will definitely recommend Liz for hair and makeup.

Liz was an AMAZING hair/makeup person for my wedding. For someone who hardly ever wears makeup, Liz made me feel both beautiful and comfortable on my wedding day. Liz was so helpful and responsive. When I had to reschedule our trial run, she actually came to my home, which was so great. She's very friendly and listens really well. She really took the time to make sure that I was happy with the hair and makeup.

Unfortunately I have to retract my last review for Liz.
I just got word from my Mother in Law that the service was very unprofessional and poor.
I hate giving bad reviews but this is unacceptable to have my Mother in Law, Sister in Law, Mom and Aunt in Law be completely dissatisfied with the service they paid for which was Hair & Makeup.

From what I was told by my Mother in Law, after Liz was done with my hair and makeup at around 3:30 she had her young sister start on all of my families hair. From what I was told she did not know what she was doing so my MIL told her to stop.
The other assistant Liz had brought had to leave at 3 and only got their makeup done. I heard from my MIL that she wasn't even an experienced makeup artist and had only started because her Real Estate job was hit.
The wedding started at 5:30 and they were rushing to figure out a solution for their hair. My MIL said Liz only did a little bit on their hair and they did the rest themselves.

I'm very unhappy to hear all this and would not recommend Liz or her assistants to anyone.

Overall Liz did a good job with my hair but wasn't sure about how to put my birdcage veil on. Which she said she was familiar with doing this. Also my hair kept falling out throughout the night. Makeup application was good, but I wouldn't say it’s exceptional.

Liz was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, interested in exactly what I wanted, and very supportive. I actually got the flu a few days before my wedding, and looked terrible at the rehearsal dinner the night before. On the wedding day after Liz had done my hair and makeup though, everyone kept coming up to me asking how I had recovered so quickly- I looked so beautiful! Sadly I hadn't actually recovered, but at least now I have amazing wedding pictures to look back on for a lifetime.

Liz did hair & makeup for our wedding. She came to my house & did a hair & make-up trial before the wedding & was very receptive to the fact that I don't often wear makeup and was afraid that I wouldn't look natural. She made me feel very comfortable with the makeup that she did for me & I loved how it turned out! On the wedding day she did make-up for both moms, hair for my MOH & bridal hair & makeup. She left me with a touch up kit for my makeup and I was very pleased with my overall look, Thanks Liz! Liz forgot to affix my veil...there was a lot of stuff going on after we finished with my hair (so my mom did it right before the ceremony) & I had a couple bobby pins that wouldn't stay in place (but that is very likely due to how thin & difficult to style my hair is!). Overall we were very pleased with Liz and I would recommend her to other brides. She was by far the most affordable & most prompt/professional hair & makeup vendor that I researched & I am so happy that she was a part of our "wedding team of vendors!"

I definitely wanted to let everyone know that Liz did an amazing job with my hair and makeup for my wedding. I was so afraid I'd have to hire two separate people, but then I found her. Lucky me!

We did a trial run at my home (after I changed the location a few times . . . she was very flexible with me). She got right to work and gave me a look that was better than I expected. It was obvious that she had been thinking about my look between then and the wedding, because when she showed up on my wedding day, she did even better. It was perfect. I look at my photos and realize that I have never looked so beautiful.

Liz is so patient. She even stuck around while I put my dress on so that she could add the finishing touches to my makeup! I was very impressed. Liz is just wonderful, and if you're lucky enough to have her be available on your wedding day, I would suggest booking her!

Liz did a great job on all of the bridesmaid's hair. She was very flexible with my picky needs and was willing to do whatever it was that I needed. Note: be sure to define what it is you actually want before you have anything done. Everyone's opinion of "natural" is different.

Liz did a fabulous job. She came out a few weeks before the wedding and did a trial run, she spent a few hours to help create exactly the look I was looking for. We went through a few different hairstyles that day until I found exactly what I was looking for. Liz never made me feel rushed, she just wanted to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted for my special day. The day of the wedding she helped make me and my bridesmaid look absolutely gorgeous. She even went above and beyond to help my bridesmaids get the exact look they wanted for the big day. Liz was fantastic on both the trail day and the actual wedding day. She knew exactly what I wanted my hair to look like and she did a great job. She worked very quickly on the day and had enough time to fit in an extra make-up sitting that I sprang on her. I was also left with around an hour to try and relax before the ceremony!

My wedding day was amazing - and it all started with Liz making me look and feel gorgeous and relaxed. Not only was Liz a great make up artist (everyone commented on how beautiful I looked - and they meant it), but she was able to put me at ease during those crucial moments before the wedding. What an amazing convenience it was that Liz came to my wedding venue to "fix me up". I had no fear of running late, I was availble on location for all the last minute details that popped up and it just made life a lot easier. Liz is an amazing artist, but I always felt involved and catered to during my make over. Liz is a fantastic makeup and hair artist. She took my 4 feet of hair and wrapped it into the complex hairstyle I asked for. She took time to ask about what I really wanted and she traveled to my house for the consultation. She is a professional in every way and I can't recommend her enough. Exceptional; Highly Recommend

Liz and her team honestly impressed me!!! I have very VERY long hair (over 3 feet long) and was nervous that I wouldn't find a stylist who could handle it. In high school I actually had hair professionals quite or start crying when I walked through their doors on the morning of Prom or a Homecoming dance! Seriously!!! But Liz was ready for the challenge ...and that of all my sisters who were my bridesmaids and also have long hair like mine!!! She was happy to accomodate as many "Trial Run" appointments as I felt were necesary to assure I would be comfortable with my hair and makeup choices on the day of the actual wedding. I was also nervous about the time-scheduling for our wedding because we were having a location wedding in Monterey, CA with a MORNING garden ceremony and I couldn't find ANY salon that would open early enough to accomodate myself and my bridal party in time. Luckily nothing could stop Liz and her team of beauticians from coming directly to us!!! They showed up at our hotel room at 4:00 am with supplies in hand!! They did all the girls'
hair and make-up, including my own and we were out the door in record time. I had never felt so beautiful in all my life and I still look back at the photos from my wedding and am amazed that she was able to get my long, heavy hair to hold a gorgeous curl for 8 hours in Monetery damp air!!!! And my makeup stayed flawless too!!!!!

Liz was a great assistance to me. She insured I had the most beautiful makeup and she also did my entire bridal party for my wedding. Liz does a beautiful job, the makeup lasts all day and really comes out beautifully in the photos. Liz and her team are professional and had everyone ready to go on time. I've worked with her twice and both times were fun and easy.
