Becky Hill Photography

I met with six or seven photographers when I was looking for someone to take pictures for us on our wedding day. I met several kind, capable people, but none of them felt quite right until I met with Becky Hill. I was drawn to her open and kind, but extremely professional demeanor, and to her artistically composed, yet totally real photographic style. She was an absolute pleasure to work with?extremely patient, very kind to everyone, and yet commanding of a crowd (which is really, really important during formal photographs). She and her second photographer, Brianne, made a wonderful addition to our party. She took GREAT photographs of my husband and I, in spite of his usual camera-discomfort. (We also hired her to take engagement portraits so that I could ease my then-fiance into the picture-taking, because he hates to have his picture taken! I highly recommend that if you have a camera shy man or are camera shy yourself?.it made him a lot more comfortable with her the day of our wedding.) Her pictures of our family members are also really stunning, and she captured the glow of our friends and family, and all that we felt was special about our wedding. As the reception carried on, we really didn?t notice her or Brianne much at all?they blended seamlessly in with our party and used long lenses to capture, unobtrusively, the heart and soul of our wedding and the people we love. I recommend Becky Hill with great enthusiasm. She is a very talented photographer and a lovely person. We are beyond-words-happy with our superb photographs and I feel so good about my decision to hire her.

I was a fan of Beckys work before we booked her for our May 09 wedding and Engagement Session.

Our Engagement session was amazing. We did our shoot at Millenium Park in Chicago. Becky knew all the spots to take great photos. I was beyond impressed with her knowledge of lighting, motion shooting, portraits and most of all capturing candid moment between my fiance and me.

When we received our photo DVD I couldn't stop looking at them. Immediatelly I ordered photos to give out as gifts for my shower, some to put up at the wedding, made a guest book etc etc. We received so many compliments of the photos that were displayed at our house and our reception. My aunt can't stop gushing about the photo I sent as a thank you for coming to the shower. Becky captured our true fun loving nature. It was amazingly easy working with Becky, she made us fee at ease and we hit it off from the start.

When our wedding day rolled around I was beyond extatic to work with Becky again. She came EARLY and ready to work. She shot me getting ready, coming out of the house, in the limo...during the ceremony Becky and her assistant were quiet and professional. After the ceremony she captured all the poses I requested including a big group shot with all of our guests! She directed our guests and us and was very efficient and timely. The photo shoot at the park got sooo creative! Becky is very aware of her surroundings and uses all opportunities for photo ops.

At our reception both her and the assistant were working non-stop...before they left Becky told my husband and I she scoped out a cool brick wall that would make for some great night shots. Right there we had a mini photo shoot! It was soo amazing.

I can't wait to see our wedding photos. One of my favorite vendors to work with!!!

Becky Hill is an amazing photographer and she was very helpful in scouting out new locations for pictures because of our untraditional style. She was very kind, energetic, and took many photos!

I absolutely can't say enough good things about Becky Hill of Becky Hill Photography. We had a civil ceremony for family in CHicago and a larger wedding in the Cayman Islands. She did an amazing job at both events! Everyone who has seen our pics love how artistic and beautiful they are. I didn't want the standard boring portrait pictures. She uses more of an editorial style and it turned out perfect! Not only was she easy to work with, but she made everyone feel at ease. She also really helped me plan the day (ie timing for pictures, location). A friend how hated her wedding photog is actually going to book Becky to re-take some of the pictures bc she loved our pics so much! Becky Hill of Becky Hill Photography shot our wedding and she was amazing. We didn't want the 'typical' wedding pictures, but we still wanted to make sure we had pictures of everyone. She flew through the wedding party pictures (in a good way) and took tons of beautiful artistic pictures. One friend who saw our pics is even thinking of putting back on her dress and having Becky re-take her pics bc her original photog didn't do a good job! Becky also made everyone feel at ease and enjoy the day (while keeping it all on time). I booked her after she shot another wedding I was in and did an equally amazing job. Becky Hill is a true professional when it comes down to her photography. She has such a warm and inviting personality that made us feel at ease instantly when we first met. She photographed my wedding last year and by far that was the best decision I made during the planning process. The way Becky can manipulate her camera to take those sought after shots are unbelievable. I was beyond thrilled with the way our photos turned out and I could not have been any happier. Becky was very responsive to any questions I had leading up to the wedding. On the day of I was as cool as a cucumber and Becky handled certain situations as soon as she saw things were getting out of control. I really appreciated the way she took charge in such a professional manner. It is nice to know that she really is as genuine as she seems. I am thankful I had the opportunity to cross paths with the lovely Becky Hill.

Becky Hill was a fantastic photographer. We booked her while she was building a wedding portfolio, so we got her for a steal. She is by far the most professional photographer we met with, and her work was outstanding.

I went to art school with Becky many years ago and her talent is incredible. I am very inspired by the work on her website. Hers is a unique mix of fashion and documentary, and her artist vision is present in every single image I have seen of hers. If I was a bride in Chicago, she'd be the first on my list.
