Of course! Just ask... I won't bite.
What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer?
For weddings and events, there are typically two types of films offered with the different packages. Documentary films are more of a polished version of the events in real-time, where the highlight films recap the best moments in a cinematic montage with it's own soundtrack. And to make sure the final film is exactly the way you imagined it would be, a post-production packet will guide you through customizing all the options ranging from credits, songs, special effects and special requests.
Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
If the situation requires it to get the shot, a portable LED light can be used to illuminate without overpowering the subjects.
Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
Sure, we can schedule a meeting to go over all the details in person if you'd like.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Barring life-threatening emergencies, I film and produce all my content.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I never book myself for more than one wedding or event in a day. Taking on too much could be disastrous for your clients. But wouldn't turn down work the day after, or the day before for that matter!
Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?
There are a number of freelance videographers with which I've work and trust to fill in if such a situation arises.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I take my breaks when the action allows on an as needed basis. And no meals required, there's a lot going on at a live event and have to be on my toes.
Do you charge overtime?
If a package that was originally booked does not cover the full event wanted to be captured, an hourly rate will be charged to compensate the time worked.
Do you give access to your raw footage?
Raw master tapes are available for archival purposes for the cost of the media.
Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
Yes! I offer my clients a post-production packet that allows the final film to be completely tailored to the individuals' taste. And to better aid in selecting the right look and feel to bring your wedding or event to life!
How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
All packages come with a DVD proof to make sure everything's just right. Plus depending on the package and the amount of footage taken, the final film could take anywhere from one to two months to complete.
Do you require a minimum number of hours to book?
The base package fulfills any minimum requirements.
