I was so happy to use bel air bakery for our wedding cake. I worked with Kim who was so helpful and honest when it comes to pricing and what is actually needed for a wedding. I knew i didnt want the cake to go to waste so kim recommend doing a cake that was smaller in size and using sheet cakes to cut up at the wedding in the back for out guest. By doing so saved a lot of cost on the cake not to mention that the cake tasted great!!

We were not happy with our wedding cake from Bel Air Bakery. When we first visited Bel Air Bakery, we met with an older lady who may be the owner. She was very sweet and easy to talk to. She was happy for us and shared so many tips with us. However, we only dealt with her that first time. Each time after that, we dealt with some other younger woman who we found to be in a hurry all the time and rude. I designed our cake by looking through photos of cakes they have baked and I combined 3 of them. When I presented the cake I designed with ribbon and edible pearls, the younger woman was very short and said the ribbon wouldn't work because grease from the buttercream seeps through, and the baker doesn't like putting edible pearls on cakes so it's extra. I really didn't care if it was extra. And she didn't sugar coat anything or explain it. We felt that we had to pry for answers. We finally found out that it's because they have to put the pearls on with tweezers and it was only $25 extra. We had to find the edible pearls in another bakery too because the woman said they don't buy them because they don't like them. For the ribbon, I read online bakery blogs about how they use ribbon with buttercream and they just double it so the grease seeps through one layer and the outside layer stays pretty. When I presented this idea to the woman she seemed reluctant to say I could do that, but I had to go buy the ribbon and stick them together with glue or double sided tape. So I got the tier sizes and cut and taped together the pieces of ribbon so that there was 3 inches extra to tape them together. I wasn't told to do this, but thought it would be helpful. I found out they were still too short and the woman said I should have just brought in the ribbon so they could measure and cut it themselves. Well I would have if she didn't tell me to do it. We just didn't like this woman's attitude at all. Then, when we got to the reception I was so upset to see the final cake. It must not have been transported very well because it looked like a kid had gotten to it and smooshed it in spots. The top tier was missing pearls on the right side, like they were putting them on and then decided to just stop. And it only looked like they used maybe 50 pearls on the whole cake. We provided 2 containers of pearls because I wanted them to use alot more. They had them way too spaced out compared to my picture. I wonder what they did with the rest of our pearls? And the worst part was the ribbon. We talked about avoiding the grease from getting to the outside ribbon, so why in the world did they put ribbon dots around the bottom of all the tiers??? I did not have those in my picture and it put grease spots in the ribbon. I wish we found another bakery to do our wedding cake. The only good thing is that it tasted good. But they only had a handful of flavor options to choose from. If you want a high quality cake with more flavor options and a pleasant staff, do not go to Bel Air Bakery.

I used Bel Air Bakery for a grooms cake and cupcakes for our wedding. The cupcakes were beautiful to say the least, and everyone loved them. The grooms cake was a replica of my husbands car and he was very surprised. Bel Air bakery was extremely affordable and easy to work with. Great place.

As a surprise for my now-husband, I had Bel Air Bakery do a groom's cake for our wedding. It was a cake shaped like a NASCAR (Kyle Busch). It looked phenomenal and received so many compliments.
Honestly, we never intended on serving the cake to our guests because our venue (which did our wedding cake) was going to charge us a bunch of money to cut it, but the cake tasted good as well!

I didnt want a typical tiered wedding cake. I wanted a bunch of small round cakes , each with different themes, on with pink and white stripes, one with ploka dots. They were great! They were delicious! They were incredibly nice to work with! Made my vision true!

Bel Air Bakery did an amazing job on our wedding cake!! We scheduled an appointment and were able to taste many flavors of cake as well as a variety of fillings. Every question was answered to our liking. They have very reasonable prices especially on the fondant cakes which is what we chose. They also have many different ideas for cakes that can be used as grooms cakes. We went with the X-Box controller made of fondant for the Groom's cake. They use the same fondant as on CAKE BOSS on t.v. Overall what a GREAT EXPERIENCE dealing with the BEL AIR BAKERY!!!

Where to start? We had settled on Bel Air Bakery (we are not from the area) by other reviews, so maybe our expirience is unique, but I doubt it! We set up a tasting appointment and drove all the way out to the bakery- they had one small table set up, and the cashier told us to have a seat and let her know when we had questions.
We settled in & noticed a piece of yellow cake with a bit of frosting next to it. As the young ladies working the register seemed busy talking, we went ahead and tried the cake. It was AWFULL!! Dry, crumbling - it tasted like old boxed mix. The frosting was good, so we called the cashier over and asked to try some of the other cakes. She told us that that is all that is allowed for the cake tastings - the buttercream frosting & yellow "pound" cake. I had to buy a cupcake to try the white cake, which wasn't as bad, but was still pretty dry.
When we asked to try the bavarian creme & raspberry fillings, she seemed irritated and reitterated that they only allow for the one cake & frosting at a tasting. She then told us that they didn't have any of the fillings there (we were AT the bakery!) . Finally, she went to the back and eventually came out with some red goop on a brown paper towel. It turned out to be strawberry.
We left, and suffice it to say, they did not get our bussiness for the wedding.

The cake was really good, but it was delivered damaged. The bottom tier started to crumble, so we had to cut the cake right after the first dance so the cake didn't topple over during the reception. My wedding coordinator requested a partial refund, and we didn't see it until 3 months after the wedding!
