Bella Donna Bridal Salon

Bella Donna Bridal, now known as LA SOIE, was horrible and I do not recommend it to any bride who wishes to be treated well, listened to, and hopes for prompt and helpful customer service.During my first appointment, I was rushed through the dresses I wished to try on and did not feel listened to or valued as a customer. They do have beautiful dresses and I selected one from there because my mom lives in Sacramento (I live in LA) and I wanted her to be able to do the 'dress thing' with me. I was measured at the store and when I called to place the order, the lady second guessed their own measurements and me confidence in my size (which is 00). The dress was ordered and took just under 6 months to arrive at the store.During my first fitting, the lady who had originally helped me kept yelling at the seamstress and was too direct with myself and my mother, not allowing us to voice our questions about the dress or our desires for how it would fit. We wanted it to fit a certain way and wished to add straps, to which they commented that it wouldn't look very good. They measured the dress on me and noted where to make changes and what to add (straps, cups, etc) and said that I should come back for a 2nd fitting in about a month (again, I had to fly up for these).During my second fitting, NONE of the alterations had been completed, so this functioned just like the first fitting. Measured, cups added with pins, straps re-selected, all rushed through in a half hour, barely allowing for us to try on my jewelry, shoes and veil with the dress in order to see everything together. I didn't want to fly back for a 3rd fitting to Sacramento so the ladies assured me that everything would be finished and that the dress could/would be shipped on time to their sister store down in LA. The dress didn't arrive by their specified date so I had to call both stores and argue with them about why I needed my dress (it wasn't obvious?? I had already given them my wedding date multiple times) and sternly demand that they ship my finished dress to the LA store. Finally they agreed to do and it arrived 2 days later. I then had to go into the LA SOIE in LA where they made sure it all fit (everything had, finally, been completed) and said that they would stem the dress and veil for me and have it ready for pick up the day before my wedding.Two days before my wedding La Soie called me to find out if I could change my pick-up date to the day OF my wedding. When I said no and that I needed it before the wedding day, the lady very rudely told me that they had my wedding date scheduled for a week later. After I explained to her again that my wedding date was two days away, she agreed to have the dress ready.In fairness, the dress was ready and perfect on my wedding day but I would NOT RECOMMEND this bridal store because of their inability to work in a professional way, to remember and note dates and changes, and because of the rude manner in which we were treated at each fitting and in correspondences over the phone. I'm not entirely sure how they manage to stay in business with such horrible service, and recommend that if you do find a dress there, that you be adamant about what you want and when you want it. They charged me an extra $55 for the straps.

I have mixed feelings about Bella Donna. They have a great and beautiful selection of dresses. The lady who helped me out originally was very nice and helpful. I knew I wanted to customize my dress and she gave me some great ideas. 5 months before my wedding we called to check on my dress order status and were informed that the dress hadn't been ordered. They rushed the order and it got here on time. Thanks goodness we called on it! My dress looked beautiful and was exactly what I wanted. However..I had the seamstress at bella Donna remove the lace-up in the back and add a zipper. Right after my ceremony on my wedding day, my dress ripped open in the back. The zipper had broken. Luckily our DJ was able to sew it up and it looked fine. But after examining the zipper after it broke, it was clear that the alterations were poorly done. Instead of a sturdy zipper made for a wedding dress, a flimsy zipper was put in that looked exactly like a zipper on a cheap sundress would have. This did not ruin my wedding day. However, it did cause some stress and some anger over the poorly constructed job that was done on this zipper at Bella Donna.

The best bridal shop in Sacramento, hands down, with a good selection of mid-range designer dresses. However, I would recommend doing alterations independently as they are very overpriced, and the seamstress is hard to understand and work with. I took an accessory piece elsewhere, as I did not feel comfortable having her do it, nor did she think I needed it (which I did).

I received excellent service from Bella Donna employees and ended up with a dress that I wouldn't have tried on if it hadn't been for the expertise of the sales team. I loved getting my dress there and bought my maid of honor's dress as well. I highly recommend going there for a nice experience with professional people.

I love this place. Its such a cute and nice boutique with beautiful dresses. They don't have a million dresses like the big bridal salons, but what they do have is beautiful. I mean if you were to take all the nice dresses from the big places and put them in one store, you would have Bella Donna. I worked with Jennifer and she was amazing!! So sweet and not pushy. She listened to what I liked and guided me in the right direction. When I found my dress, she kept asking me if I was sure about it and was never pushy. I had dress regret about a month after I bought my dress and went in to try it on again. She was so understanding and patient and didn't think I was crazy (even though everyone else did...)

I also had my dress altered at Bella Donna by Nazi. I had her take in the dress a bit around my hips, hem and bustle the dress. She did a great job and my dress fit like a dream. Also, my bustle lasted all night even though 80% of guest stepped on it!! This place is great!!

I found the perfect dress at Bella Donna after trying over a hundred dresses at about 10 other shops. They are extremely professional and work with your budget and payment options so that you can get the dress of your dreams. The seamstress that works there is amazing! She fits the dress to you like it is another piece of your body. Every woman ends up looking gorgeous!

I had a horrible experience at Davids Bridal and was very weary about going to another bridal salon. Bella Donna was great; making me feel comfortable and like I was the only person they were focusing on to pick the perfect dress. All of my bridesmaids found their dresses there and even found a bridesmaid maternity dress from the same designer and fabric to match the other bridesmaids. Sometimes I had to call back because I hadn't heard back from them but overall the experience I had with Bella Donna was fabulous. They have a great collection of dresses varying in prices as well as hair pieces and jewelry. Check out some pictures in my album of our dresses.

Everything with ordering the dress and accessories was wonderful. The alterations process was horrible though. Although I had purchased my dress with ample time before my wedding they pushed back the alterations so far that my final fitting was 1 day before I left town for my wedding. The dress did turn out beautiful but the alterations process was an awful pain.

My wedding planner suggested this dress store since I was having a hard time finding what I wanted. They were very helpful and thought of some other styles to try on that I would never have thought of. Prices were fine and selection was decent. Felt like I was special while trying on dresses. Recommend this store for brides.

I did not buy my dress here, but did try on a few Melissa Sweet dresses. They do have a great selection of them, which was perfect for me. They don't have a large selection of other designers, so make sure to check what they carry ahead of time. The store is clean with large fitting rooms and the staff was very helpful and nice. A very positive experience.

Wonderful products, wonderful service. Enough said.

I was so determined to buy my dress at this store because prices were reasonable and I loved the modern dresses they had. It ended up that the dressmaker made my dress wrong. The shop had ordered it correctly so it was the dressmakers fault. The disappointing part was that Bella Donna made no effort to discount the dress or fight the dressmaker discount it. I got no discount for a dress that was improperly made and had not time to get another one. After all that looking and decision making, i ended up in a dress that wasnt what I chose. And no discount!

After shopping around some more weed decided to give Bella Donna Bridal Salon a chance as we have heard a few good things about the place. We made an appointment and went on in. The staffs were very knowledgeable but it seemed they were very busy on that day so even though we made an appointment we did not get a lot of service. We found a few a few different dresses and tried each and everyone on to make sure they fitted. So we made the purchase which ended up taking a few minutes as the line was somewhat crowded but in the end we came out with a few different nice dresses and ended a rough day of shopping.

My wedding coordinator referred me to Bella Donna, and I am so glad she did. I had my dream wedding gown already designed in my mind, but was afraid it did not exist. Ashley (owner) was so sweet - she helped me find a dress that was similar, by a designer I really liked, and then worked with the designer to customize the dress to my exact specifications! I had the wedding gown I had always dreamt of, with very little effort on my own part. Bella Donna is a full-service wedding attire salon, so I was also able to get my bridesmaids' dresses and all of the tuxes there as well. Ashley's style is very fun and friendly - it really felt more like I was hanging out with a girlfriend than going to an upscale bridal salon. All of my fittings were so much fun!I can't recommend Bella Donna more highly!

This bridal boutique was awesome! Ashley the store owner was so nice and so helpful. THe dress selection was amazing. I loved this salon so much that I recommended it to 2 of my friends, who also purchased their dresses from there. My experiences at this boutique were so nice, that I would HIGHlY recommend this salon to anyone and everyone.

I fell in love with this shop the moment I entered. Choosing my gown there was a magical experience. Ashley, the owner, was always super patient and generous with her time. . .she also handled my 12 bridesmaids dresses and all the drama that came along with them without batting an eyelash!
