Reviews for Bella Pictures
I actually tried to use Bella but they never contacted me afte I left them a message. Then all of a sudden I get an email from them saying that this was their second email to me and they'd like to meet with me to discuss my wedding. They had never contacted me in the first place. By this time I had already chosen a different photographer who was more receptive to working with us. The quality of their works seems very cookie cutter and mediocre. I'm glad I decided to spend a little more money and go with a real professional. I used Dave Lepori in Los Gatos.
I was looking for a photographer in May of 2009. At the time Bella's website was such that you had to actually give your personal information to them in order to get any kind of pricing. Shortly after I did this and looked at their rather exorbitant rates, not only did they decide to call (thereby bother me at home)but I my mailbox was flooded with wedding junk mail.
Recently, they stopped requiring people to give out their personal information in order to see rates on their website.
The low star had nothing to do with the quality of their photos. When I simply saw their prices and by having the benefit of frequenting my local bridal boards knew there were/are tons of better photographers that charge a fraction of what they ask for.
They have a completely corporate sales mentality. If you want to deal with a corporation rather than a human being on your wedding day, best of luck to you.
The best photographers have a eye for the shot, not a sales pitch. They will be happy to deal directly with you and figure out your personality as a couple and not try to get you for the last time you have, which includes selling your information to the highest bidder.
If you are not dealing directly with your photographer as a bride when you interview, look elsewhere. It will save you a lot of trouble.
We started with Bella. I was really excited because they seemed so great. Everything just seemed like it would work out so well, and I could afford them, and it they sold me on the extras that are included. But that was the problem. They are a very hard sale, but their product doesn't hold up. They spend so much on marketing and sales that they don't pay their photographers competitive prices.
We got our engagement session, and I am so glad that we did. The photos were awful. They were so posed and fake. They weren't at all what we had expected. When we confronted Bella they said it wasn't their fault, it was the photographers fault and therefore the 100% satisfaction guarantee was void. When I explained that we were looking at another photographer, they tried to make her out as an amature photographer (she has won awards and is amazing). They gave me 20 reasons why they were better and what would happen if? The same things that any decent bride will ask the photographer: what happens if you are sick? what happens if your camera breaks? what happens if xy and z? They were trying to scare me in to staying with them. It didn't work. By that point I was pissed, but they refused to respond to my request for a refund. It took my now husband (then fiance) to CALL and demand our refund because of poor quality, and even then they never gave us back the $400 for the engagement session.
Be weary if you get sold on Bella.
I loved them! The coordinator and the photographer and his assistant were all great to work with. I was first somewhat scared of using them because they have such a unique approach. You meet a sales coordinator first then she/he will assign you a photographer the coordinator thinks will fit our needs. Kind of scary, but it worked for me! I was assigned Greg Bumatay and his assistant Danny as a special treat!(I don't know how it happened, but so I got 2 photographers for the price of 1!!!!) Both of them did a great job, they made us comfortable and smile all the time. We even went to take more photos in city lights after the reception and that was the best decision we made.
I was entered into their "calling pool" when I registered for a free photo package give-away on theknot.com. They call you incessantly to get you to schedule an appointment, and even though I have asked to be removed from both calling and e-mail lists, I still receive e-mails from this vendor. Although they work very hard to earn your business, I'm disappointed in their customer service, because we already have a photographer and they are a little too pushy for me!
We talked with Bella Pictures for our videography needs and ended up selecting another videographer. We liked the price and service but didn't like that fact that we didn't get to talk to and choose the videographer up front. (They mention that they all hand-selected and of similar quality). We felt that even the samples that they showed us, there were videos that we liked more than others.
Of course, we also wanted to see if we got along with the videographer since he/she would be with us the entire day.
I visited Bella and it took me very short to realize that the whole idea of having a chain photography based on sending you an available (not best, not unique, not experienced) but again available photographer. Sales person presentation was great, many people confirmed, that first experience with Bella usually awesome. Problems usually arise after when you realize your photographer, not exactly the one you hoped to get. I decided to avoid it. Spent more and happy with my photos.
I had booked with Bella based solely on their price. It seemed like a great deal and this was the first vendor I booked (at the beginning of our 2 1/4 year engagement). I got a free engagement session for meeting with the consultant. They wouldn't tell us when the date for the session would be, I confirmed it would not be a particular weekend less than a month away and they assured me it would not. I made travel plans for that weekend and then they booked it for that weekend (this was to be a large group shoot with lots of couples and photographers so we could sort of shop our photographer). We were told we'd be booked on the next large session and then several months later they decided they wouldn't do other large sessions. We were given a free 1-on-1 (great for us since it was free) They booked us with a photographer who was new to the area and only knew the east bay. Looking at her portfolio you could see her first weddings were crap but that she was improving. We spoke with her and asked her for recommendations about where to go for the e-pics. We told her we were thinking Stanford since 1) we live close 2) DH's an alum. She told us Stanford wouldn't be good since the architecture wouldn't show up...total BS. She recommended Tilden park in Berkeley and we drove the hour to get there. The session was fine but she'd booked another couple after us not remembering there was a time change. We got good light but the next couple would have been ending in near dark. When I got the e-pics, there were a few that were ok, but not much that really popped. We selected one. I did some photoshop and we used it for our STD and people liked it...but I was disappointed by the number that weren't good. There were no close-ups of our faces, there were a number where she'd positioned me on higher ground than him or where we were akward or that were too far away to tell who we were. We also had hair in our faces that had to be photoshopped out...I would have expected her to tell us to fix our hair. The pics were OK, but not great.
I asked our consultant at Bella how to assure we didn't have similar problems on the wedding day and he said to have a family member watch out for all those problems because it was too much to ask the photographer to do. Um, too much to ask the photographer to make sure we didn't have hair in our faces or that we looked odd? Isn't that why we're hiring PROFESSIONAL photographers? My cousin Lisa can take normal snapshots, I'm PAYING for something extra!
As finances fell into place, I realized we could afford a little more and came online looking for recommendations. We hired Meg and Michael about 2 months before our wedding and after our wedding I'm so glad we did! Their care for the day was exceptional and they'll touch up and color correct the photos so I don't have to! They got there as I was getting ready and stayed all the way until the end of the reception (an 11 hour day) In the end since I was thinking of an extra photographer and extra time through Bella anyway, it wasn't that big of a price difference and I knew I was getting seasoned professionals. I didn't have to come up with a long list of must take photos because they knew. I didn't have to tell them what to do because they could see what needed to be done. It was such a relief to not have to direct the photographer. They were great and you can see some of their pictures in my bio.
I WENT TO A BRIDAL EXPO. AND THATS HOW I FOUND BELLA PHOTOS IT WAS EASY FROM THE START AND VERY PERSONL SELINA MADE US VERY COMFORTABLE AND IT WAS EASY AFTER SEEING ALL THE BEAUTIFUL PIC'S I DIDENT WANT TO BE LEFT OUT WITH NO PIC'S, SHE WAS VERY FLEXABLE ON WHEN PAYMENT CAN START AND NOT MISS OUT ON MY SPECIALS, WE EVEN GOT TO HAVE A PHOTO SESSION AND THE PIC'S ARE PRICLESS , I CALL IT OUR MOMENT " THE LOOKS WE HAD IN OUR EYES FOR EACH OTHER WERE CAPTURED AND THE KISS WAS DEFINITLY "PRICLESS" I CANT WAIT TILL OUR WEDDING DAY I KNOW THERE GONNNA BE SPACTULAR PICTURES AND TO SEE ALL THOSES SPECIAL MOMENTS THE CAMERA WILL CAPTURE THE PHOTOGRAPHER I KNOW ALREADY HES GONNA BE THERE AT THAT MOMENT ON PERFECT TIMING..ITS ALL WE NEED AND NOT WORRIE WHOS TAKEN PICTURES, BELLA PIC'S THANKS AHEAD OF TIME BUT IM TOTALLY CONFIDENT THAT PIC'S ARE GONNA BE PERFECT LIKE THE "LOVE WE HAVE FOR EACH OTHER" LONDON AND MARINA
We had a wonderful experience with Bella. The two photographers (I forgot their names since we did not meet until our wedding day) who were assigned to our wedding were very friendly and had lots of creative ideas when shooting our romantic photos after the ceremony. From start to finish Bella were courteous, prompt answering emails and always very nice. Even though they are a large photography company, I don't feel like I received cookie-cutter style photos. My husband and I were very happy with our book. I highly recommend.
Bella Pictures (DC area) made us look like stars in our wedding photos! Wonderful, that’s the only word that can you use. We were happy with every aspect of their services. They were easy to work with the day of the wedding. Our photographer truly had vision and an eye for setting up shots that made us look good! We are so very happy with our wedding photos from this company- we definitely recommend.
Bella's customer service was so wonderful!!!!!!!!!! They always got back to me If I needed anything!!!!!!!!! Leanne L was so wonderful!!!!!!!!!! Her presentation was why Marc and I choose Bella! Rebecca H and Eddie F were so great as well!!!!! I am still working with Eddie, he has been so helpful and informative!!!!!! Our photographer Irene K was brilliant!!!!!!!!! She took some eye watering photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be recommending Bella to everyone I know who decides to get married in the future!!!!!!!!!! I want to use Irene in the future!!!!!!! I found Bella Pictures while searching online for a great photography company for an affordable price. Their website posted free consultations, and a chance to win a photography package, where they pick winners every month! After meeting with Selina, and finding out about their packages and pricing, my fiance and I were sure we wanted them to cover our wedding. Selina has been extremely sweet, attentive, and helpful--she is always available to us! We also received a complimentary portrait session with our package!! Our complimentary photo session, though brief, was lots of fun. Our photographer for that day was very professional and really helped us to relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Another great perk about Bella Pics is they have a unique matching process that allows them to select a photographer that suits your style!
For any bride and groom-to-be, having full access to your digitive negatives is a plus and Bella Pics definitely allows you this option. I would definitely recommend Bella to anyone on a budget!
Okay, so my in-laws' gift to us was hiring a videographer for us. They hired Bella Pictures, and I honestly would have preferred that they would have paid for any videographer that we selected, and we would have made up any difference in the price. Not saying that Bella Pictures was bad, but they definitely didn't leave a good taste in our mouths. The way that they spoke to us when we contacted them and kept in contact, it was like we were being an inconvenience and talking down to us. Then on our wedding day, the people that showed up was not who we were told was going to be there, so my husband had to explain everything to them again of specifics that we wanted. A few of our guests also said that they were rude to them. I am glad though that our video came fast and was very professional and great. But the way they handle their clients must be rectified!
Bella pictures hooked us up with an amazing photographer, Henry Wang. They were able to take my taste and needs and match them with Henry. There consultants are very nice and willing to answer any questions you have. They work well with email. Not so much over the phone. The only thing I didn't like about them is that you can not actually meet the photographer in person until the day of the wedding. However I was able to see all of his work and portfolio prior.
We had a wonderful experience with Bella! Everything went smoothly from the start. We first met with Suny, our Photographer Consultant, and she helped us pick out the right photography package for our needs. Suny was excellent. After meeting with her we had no doubt that we were going to hire Bella to do our pictures. She was so sweet and really took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns.
Shortly after finalizing our photography package with Suny, I received an email stating that Joanna was our assigned Photography Planner. Joanna was wonderful. I emailed her countless times and every response I received was delightful. Joanna's responses were timely and thorough. Joanna would email me to check in and also to keep me up-to-date with the photography planning process. Four months before my wedding, Joanna emailed me with our Photographers information. We reviewed her portfolio and agreed that she was a perfect fit for our needs. I spoke with Jackie, our Photographer, on the phone 2 weeks before the wedding and she was great- we were completely on the same page. We met Jackie on our wedding day, but it felt like we had known her for years. She was amazing and such a sweetheart! She had so many great ideas for pictures and was completely open to suggestions. Our families and everyone in the bridal party could not get over how easy she was to work with. We wanted a fun and relaxed day and thanks to Jackie and the Bella team we were able to have just that!
We received our pictures about 3 weeks after our wedding and they are incredible. There isn't one picture that we do not like. All of our family and friends are so impressed with the pictures. Our only problem is that there are so many good ones that it is difficult to narrow it down for our album!!! Thank you Bella!!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Reasonably priced, and hassle-free process. I just entered my wedding date information, and specifics I wanted to let the photographer they hand-picked for me know, and Bella Pictures did the rest! Pictures were high quality (not blurred or distorted). I even got to let them know what types of shots to get. Thank you to Bella Pictures for making my wedding day memorable for years to come!
We are extremely upset about the turn-time of our wedding album with Bella Pictures. It has been 15 months now since we got MARRIED. Still - no wedding album that we can share with our parents. The latest revision we received had a "typo - grandparents instead of granparents (missing a "d" that the designer had made a mistake). The album coordinator said it will take 4 weeks to fix that and this is the turn-time for ANY revisions. I have signed off all pages so it can get printed, and Come on; just to fix a typo will take them at least 4 weeks to fix. This was a mistake that your designer made. Not to mention they told me the "printing process" will take 4 MONTHS after I signed off their "typo". Any one has a similar experience and any suggestions to handle this? At this point, I am speechless and gave up. I also posted a forum. You can visit

Our photographs are okay. I love them because they are ours, but I would have liked to see better photographs. I was told by our consultant that our photographer was a more "photojournalistic" photog, but from what I got, I don't really agree. We were also somewhat misled by the consultant, as she seemed to imply that there would be some finishing effects done with the photos, and there is nothing like that at all. He basically took the pictures and put them on discs for us. For what we paid, I guess we can't complain too much, but if I had to do it over again, I would paid more for better quality. I think that the photographer is one of the most important vendors, and I'm just a little disappointed in my choice.
I won a free wedding photography for the day and it is going to be great,!! check it out at www.bella.com
When I was looking for a photographer I called these people. A salesperson got back to me, and they were definitely a SALES person. I felt almost ridiculed that I was not getting the higher priced package and the person I was speaking to wasn't even the photographer, so I had no idea of the personality of the photographer I was going to have. I got bad vibes because it seemed more like a factory where they pushed out service and sales, rather than any sort of personalized service.
My brand new husband, Jon, and I couldn't be happier with Bella pictures. Yes, they are a little expensive, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. We decided right away that this was where we were going to splurge, and we're so glad we did!
From the beginning, Bella is wonderful to work with. Leanne met with us, IN PERSON--that never happens--and she helped us to pick a photography package that was right for us. She was with us from that point forward, keeping us on track with our planning and payments. I needed someone to help keep me on track, I'm busy! I'm sure you are too!
Probably the best thing Bella offers is matching you and your partner to a photographer that matches your photo style. It takes about ten minutes for you to both rate pictures on-line and what you like or don't like about them. Then Bella matches you with someone you will like that shoots those types of pictures.
It was no surprise when Jay, our photographer, was exactly what I needed on the wedding. He made me feel like a model who had done photo shoots 1000 times. He was always saying, "Wow that looks great", "Nice shot" "Gorgeous." He had a vision when he showed up, and the results were amazing.
We couldn't be happier with the pictures we got as a result of Bella, Leanne, and Jay's hard work. We are currently working on putting together our wedding book with a graphic designer! We can't wait to see the results.
If you're trying to make a decision, go for Bella. They are the A team and won't let you down!
My DH booked our photographer. She did a great job, but I only gave her four stars because she was about 10 minutes late (which almost gave me a heart attack) and just didn't seem completely 'there.' The pictures were beautiful, but I wasn't sure until I saw them.
When I started planning my wedding, after choosing the reception venue, the photographer was the most important decision to make. We live in the Detroit Metro area, so we had a lot of choices!
I honesly can't even remember how I discovered Bella, but once I saw their website and met with my photography consultant, I was beyond impressed. My now-husband and I both knew that the photographer was one of the most important aspects of our wedding day. We wanted to ensure that we would look back at our photos and remember every moment of our day. Bella has accomplished this for us.
Some of the best attributes that Bella has to offer is that you can change your mind as you go, and they offer a multitude of options. And I did change my mind...several times. They offer such a wide vareity of packages and products; something to fit any budget or dream!
My consultant, Jodi, was fabulous and even met with me again after the wedding to review my album choices and let me look at the sample albums just one more time. I am slightly nostalgic for the planning process, and actually miss working with her.
Our photographer was amazing. I must admit that I was a little nervous with the process of Bella selecting our photographer. We used the online selection guide and our photographer was absolutely amazing. He was the perfect blend for us. He set up some great shots, and captured the true moments of our day.
The online veiwing process was a little overwhelming at first. I think we had 1100 photos to view! But they were all categorized online, and it wasn't as daunting as I had feared.
The one thing I would suggest for improvements is the online viewing of the photos. I didn't think that the photos looked the best using the online site. I ended up uploading the pictures from our CD's onto my computer and viewing them that way. The picture quality was much better. We love that the package included the digital negatives and the rights to the photos.
Bella was amazing and I would recommend them to everyone!
Great place, they pictures looked great. I would definitely suggest anyone to do business with them again.
A co-worker recommended these people after they did her wedding. Best advice I had the whole time I was planning. These people were more than photographers. They were like "Wedding Coaches" since they knew so much about weddings. It was a great experience.
I knew that pictures were going to be a big part of remembering our wedding day, which was why we went ahead and looked for a professional photographer. We had read that Bella Pictures was a good source of photographers, and from working with them I guess this is a national company that out sources its contacts to local photographers. We got to see the portfolios of the photographers who were available for our wedding online, and then we got to meet with her once before the wedding. I would have been nervous because this was all being organized online, but our photographer Vanessa was professional. She showed up on time, was professional and nice, and took amazing photos. We were a really good-looking and happy couple!
Our wedding pics are awesome. Great shots. You can't even see my bald spot in most of them. (haha)
Our wedding album is really nice. I like how good we look in every photo!
We opted to not use Bella. Their customer service reps were helpful and their pictures were very professional, but we wanted to go a more creative route and stick with a more local vendor.
I wasn’t looking to spend a fortune on pictures and luckily, I don’t have too. Bella had a unique format when matching us with a photographer: we rated various photos and was paired with the photographer that best matched our style. Easy to get a hold of and great pics
The people are super friendly, their prices are a bit steep-you do receive copyrights to your pictures, something a lot of vendors don't do.
Impeccable customer service and my photographer was a sweetheart. I love people who are willing to work with you. As long as you're not taking advantage of their kindness, you'll see great results. Each and everyone's portfolio was phenomenal on the website. Thank God Bella chose the photographer who was the right fit for me
Are you and your fiance a cookie cutter? NO! Then neither should your wedding pictures be!!!!!!!!! After speaking with the associated on the phone, I couldn't get over the lack of personalization. I felt like I was talking to a robot. They may have inexpensive prices, but not necessarily a good value. Equally good deals can be found with great photographers if you look enough.
The photographer assigned was fantastic and did everything and anything I asked of him with so much professionalism.
Great service! The company representatives are very professional and friendly. I am overall pleased with the photographer assigned to our event and with the price I was charged for the package. The only thing I had a problem with was that the photographer had a tendency not to center objects in the photos. I mentioned it to him, but he still took few photographs doing that. I am very thankful to the photographer for finding the location for shooting pictures after ceremony. It was exactly what I imagined; it was next to the water and looked fantastic.

Bella, so far, seems to be a very good photography business. I have not met the photographer yet, but the process so far has been very easy. You are given 100 photos to rank to help determine which style is best for you. They have a wide range of packages from $1,500 to well over $5,000.
They were always available, they offer great customer service and we got a deal on a great package while paying for the next-cheapest. My only complaint is that they were supposed to have 2 photographers and there was only one on the actual day. Overall, though, I am pleased with my photos and they give you all the digital prints so you can get them printed much cheaper than ordering through them. Very nice.
I simply looked at this place for information. They are a photographer-job search kinda place. they have photographers in many areas that contract with them or something. However, once I asked for more information, I felt like I was being spammed with emails and phone calls. I had to ask one photographer to quit calling because he kept calling my cell phone- and he wasn't in a photographer in my area! He sounded like he used wedding photo jobs as a free way to travel. Not a good service from my experience.
GREAT vendor! My wedding was in Michigan, and my 2 photographers were wonderful. I got great prices on my package. If I would have hired either of my assigned photographers I would have paid double. The album is GORGEOUS and EVERYTHING I wanted!
The pictures were great. We had a lot of different pose options and had a choice of many many shots to have printed out. Nice equipment, too.
We originally booked Bella for our wedding because we thought they were the only ones who would fit our budget and had a photojournalistic style. We got our photographer match 3 months before our wedding, and I really wasn't thrilled with his samples or the fact that we wouldn't be able to meet him until the day of the wedding. His samples weren't very photojournalistic despite us having gone through their process of rating images online so they could gauge our style and tastes. After doing some research on some wedding boards and hearing negative things about Bella from wedding photographers that have worked with them before, we decided to cancel. The good thing is that they give you a full refund on your deposit, so that wasn't an issue, and surprisingly we were able to find a great photographer who fit our budget and took amazing pictures! I think it's a great resource for brides on a budget, but only if you're lucky enough to be matched with someone whose work you're crazy about. For us it just didn't work out.
These people know weddings. They actually helped me get my thoughts organized as far as my reception itinerary goes. My photos are beautiful and the best thing to have to remember my wedding by. I would have paid a million dollars for these brilliant photos - luckily - I didn't have to.
This was a recommendation from our venue, we are very happy with our pictures!
Bella was amazing from square one. They meet with you and get a taste or you style and then choose a photographer based on your own choices and taste. We were thrilled with the results and there were over 2000 pictures taken. We end up with the rights to all of the pictures so we can get whatever we want printed, whenever we want, wherever we want! It was very nice! Oh, and they also guarantee to have the pictures to you withing 28 days of the ceremony!
We had two photographers who were both very nice. The head photographer, Rachel Lea-Johnson, was *extremely* good -- not only did she take beautiful pictures, but you didn't really notice her at all. As such, everyone was very relaxed around her and she was able to take some very natural candids. She had a great knack for helping my bride relax during the many photos of the day. The associate photographer, Glenn Davies, also took nice photos, but wasn't as natural -- he was more noticable.
Ordering was nice -- I met with a sales person at a local Starbucks where she talked me through the different options and showed me samples of the albums, but the followup is via email and phone with someone at a national office -- there isn't any human contact after the initial sale. The contact person also changed twice, although with no loss of service and each contact person was very nice and professional. Their matching process involves picking out pictures that you like.
We were able to speak with the main photographer over the phone a few weeks before the wedding. We were somewhat concerned that we couldn't meet her before the wedding, but it worked out okay.
The pictures turned out great and the whole process is very smooth.
Bella Pictures was a great choice. They were on time, efficient, and gave helpful suggestions for photos.
Bella Pictures are amazing. The website does no do justice to how good their pictures look. They are pricy but you will love their pictures. The deposit to hold your date is only 50 dollars so you have time to save money to pay 15 percent. The rest is broken up evenly among four payments with the last one due when you pick up your album. If you are reading this review, go to Bellapictures.com and fill out the form to meet with a photography consultant. Our consultant is Whitney and she is knowledgeable and very willing to help. You can look at the pictures but you won't be blown away until you see the pictures in perso.
Where do I begin? Bella Photography was awesome! They communicated throughout our wedding planning and thereafter! Our Bella photographer was such a professional and captured many priceless photos of our very special day. She was very descrete while photographing and very friendly. She traveled to my home for pre-bridal shots, then to our church for ceremony photos and then to our reception venue and captured all the important aspects of our very special day. Included are our own copyrighted photos that we can get copies of without any hassel! We were emailed the proofs approximately 28 days after our wedding and then sent discs of our photos in the mail. Included is also a beautiful wedding album and 2 "parent albums". This was truly a great investment for our memories of our special day! Excellent keepsake!
We happen to have a military discount so it softened the blow a little more. The over company seemed profesional but people kept quiting and we ended up with a new contact person each month. The photographer was very nice, but he didn't know really all the shots to take; he started asking me what should he take photos of.
Do not be fooled by this corporate crap! I started to look into Bella Pictures in my search for a wedding photographer. When I sat down to a consultation with them, they didn't tell me anything about the specific photographer who would be at my wedding. Don't book a photographer unless you have met with him in person and know a lot about his background-- don't trust some company to simply assign you one.
We were a bit hesitant about using Bella Pictures, because we wouldn't meet our photographer until about a month before the ceremony. However, Linda Lewis was an awesome photographer. They send you a bio with some sample pictures and you can change if you aren't meshing well with your photog. The booking agent I used, Nicole Taylor, was very sweet and accomodating, and we got a great deal with our package. I can't wait to get the pictures back! Because they were going to train a photographer to join the Bella team, we got 2 photographers for the price of one! Both ladies were wonderful.
I was lucky enough to be referred to Bella pictures through a very good girlfriend of mine. She raved about them since she booked them and after was elated with her wedding pictures. After viewing her pictures, I decided to book them immediately. So far my experience has been great. Michelle, my wedding consultant, is on top of everything! She has been there for me during these last 6 months to remind me of different things that I never would have remembered for my big day. I have really been impressed with the professionalism yet intimacy that Bella has provided me. My fiancé and I rated over one hundred pictures, which really helped us solidify and identify our style. Although we had an idea of what we liked, the rating system really helped us get some good ideas of what we loved and what we did not want. Shortly after rating the pictures, we were assigned our photographers. At that point, we were able to view their portfolios and history. Needless to say, I’m so excited to work with both of them! If you decide to go with Bella, I definitely recommended Michelle Lewis-Kapp. She’s amazing.
Bella is great! We were so impressed from the get-go with their albums, photographs, and the pleasant and knowledgeable demeanor of our consultant! They offer a variety of album styles to fit the couple's needs- anything from traditional to artsy. We are somewhere in between and are very excited with the samples we've seen so far. We know our wedding day will be perfect, as you fill out an online profile of photos you want taken, etc. for your photographer- in addition to the initial consult. Bella has several package options for any budget and they often have promotions going on where you can upgrade your package option to the next level. I'm really glad we chose Bella!
DO NOT USE BELLA! We got their priciest package for our wedding last June, because we loved the album design, and I had a friend who'd recently used them with good results. After extensive communication with our coordinator (who was very nice), we thought we'd get a great photographer. Turns out that we got a *few* photos we like, but many random photos that had NOTHING to do with the day... over 100 photos of some flowers that were part of our venue's grounds, but not a single, non-blurry photo of our hand-made place-card, table numbers or hand-made favors. Only ONE of our flower arrangements. Very few good formal shots of my husband and I. When I politely asked our first photographer what was left from our shot list, she told me "let Me run the show, that's my job." I was shocked! It was just an honest question. When I thought of a few more posed photos I wanted spur-of-the-moment, they told me they only had time for one of them and I had to pick one. On top of that, the customer service I have received since our event has been atrocious. Keep in mind my husband and I paid for their services, but they went ahead and released our photos to our family without our prior consent!!! During attempts to resolve the situation, I have been repeatedly lied to, insulted and ignored. Seriously, I have been told to expect a call back "within 24 hours" only to wait a week before calling back myself. Seems to me they were all too happy to take our money upfront, and don't care one iota about how the after-care is handled. I should have run when our consultant set up our initial meeting at a Starbucks without telling us it was, in fact a Starbucks. We spent 45 mins looking for an address she gave, all the while calling her cell phone, which was off. When we finally showed up, she was like, "oh, I had my phone off, oops!" She didn't even apologize for giving us misleading info!! Run, quickly, you're better off spending more time researching / interviewing individuals. I hope no bride has to suffer with them the way we did. Seriously, take your business elsewhere! I'm only giving one star because they did manage to hook us in with some awesome marketing and a friendly consultant (read: salesperson). For the photos and customer-service, they get negative stars.
They were great! They spent time before getting to know us and what we wanted before the wedding. Our photographer was great. She took many, many pictures, and in the style we wanted. We have just finished making our album and it is on it's way. They communicated very well each step of the way and were helpful with every question. The only concern was the price, but with pictures being so important I would suggest them to anyone.
They did a terrific job!!! You're not just working with 1 person, you're meeting a team of people who are there to help you!!! The only thing is you don't get to meet your photographer until a week before the wedding! All you have to do is just keep checking in every week through phone or email!! The'yre very friendly and extremely professional!!!
I never even heard of Bella Photography until I went to a wedding show and met with some of the representatives. When my fiancee and I met one on one with one of the representatives I knew we had to have them. It's a nice and informal meeting where the representative can get to know what your like and what kind of photography you like. Bella offers not only traditional photography but contemporary as well. The packages they offer are also amazing. They give you so many options to choose from at a cheaper price then most photographers. They're photography is amazing!
The photos are beautiful! Our coordinator was very helpful in informing and assisting us to pick out a package that suits our needs. Absolutely happy that we went with Bella.
I didn't like the SALES PITCH. This is my wedding and I felt like I was buying a car. Another thing, you don't meet your photographer until the day of the wedding and it was a DISASTER.
Please keep looking and save your money.
After meeting with a representative from Bella Pictures and looking at prices, books, sample of photographers work, and approach to pictures, I really like Bella Pictures and would recommend them to my friends. They are located throughout the U.S. The consultation is free and about one hour. To book your date it is $50 refundable deposit for 30 days, after that it is paid in 3 installments. The photographers take an artistic approach in combination to the traditional pictures based on what you want.
It's really too bad that there's no option for zero stars or negatives stars. Project Wedding--- something to think about!
Bella was used by my best friend and they were awful corporate crap!
She really got sold by the SALESGIRL. The photographer took terrible pictures, and was not personable. He looked like he wanted to go home the whole time. Obviously he didn't care.
And my friend didn't even get to choose her photographer! Bella chose!
Go find a local photographer. You'll be MUCH BETTER OFF!!
My sister used Bella for her wedding, and her advice to me was to LOOK ELSEWHERE. Run as far as you can, was more like it.
First of all, Bella is a chain studio, like McDonald's or Wal-mart. That means no personal service. You don't deal with photographers, you deal with salespeople.
That's all fine and good if you can deliver great images, right?
Unfortunately the images were quite average for the amount she spent ($5000). Very posed, old fashioned shots.
They obviously use photographers who can't make it on their own. Photographers with successful studios do not shoot for Bella.
The photographers were nice guys. Just really boring and cliche. If they cost only $1000, they'd be perfect.
As mother of the bride I have been very impressed with the work Bella has done for us before, during and after my daughter’s wedding. Bella was careful to assign the right photographer to my daughter, changing the person until they got it right. And it was right! The day of the wedding the photographer spent so much time with Kristy that it was essential that they got along well. The bride and groom enjoyed their day, were very relaxed during the photo sessions, and were able to enjoy the ceremony and the reception without being distracted by the photographer. We especially appreciate the way Bella works, giving us access to the digital pictures shortly after the wedding. And we love the website which allows our friends to view the pictures. Our consultant, Selina, was very helpful and professional. She got back to us promptly whenever we had questions, she listened carefully to our concerns, and she took time to help us with our specific needs. Our photographer did a beautiful blend of artsy and traditional photos, as well as a photojournalistic style, so we have the whole day chronicled. Everyone has raved about her photography. She captured personalities, special events, as well as décor and details. Our hope was to find someone who would give us the digital pictures after the wedding, but maintain the highly professional services we were looking for. We are grateful to have found Bella and highly recommend them.
IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A STREE FREE EXPERIENCE WITH CHOOSING A PHOTOGRAHER GO WITH BELLA PICTURES. I HAD SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND WAS SO HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING.
Bella Photography has been great so far. Our wedding is next year and our photography consultant, Leanne Lamusga, has made the process SO easy. She checks in with us to see how everything is going and if there's anything she can do to make the process easier. We've already had our engagement photo session and a free photo shoot at their open house and the actual photographers were great. Ben and Nathan made sure that we were comfortable and gave us pointers on how to make our wedding day go smoothly. We're very excited for the big day to come, and I am not worried in the least bit that everything will run smoothly thanks to Bella.
Bella Pictures is such a great company. It may see weird that they are a national company but I think there concept is a great idea. They have people in every aspect of the business assigned by what they are good at. I think it is hard for photographers who own there own studio to be the secretary, business runner, photographer, editer, etc. This company has a different group taking care of each aspect. You have a person assigned to your wedding organizing dates, photographer, payments, etc. Then you work with the photographer and then for editing you work with the art people who are great at putting your pictures together. I also love that you get to own your own negatives, which is so helpful. We do not have to pick which pictures we want to pay for we get them ALL! Our photographers were wonderful and great to work with! So was everyone!
I am a bride to be and me and my fiancee are paying for the majority of our wedding by ourselves we were looking for something that looked professional but still stayed with in our price limits. Bella pictures has been awesome so far. We just finished seeing our engagement photos and they turned out great. Another rad thing about Bella is the fit a photographer to match you style...I am having a vintage wedding and our planner Selina and photographer have done a great job addressing our needs and still staying true to my unique style;) So far its been a great experience and I love being able to make payments on-line!!! I would recommend Bella to anyone else;)
My wife, fiance at the time, and I were impressed with Bella and our consultant Michelle Lewis-Kapp from the very beginning. We were running late and Michelle's last appointment of the day and she took time to explain the whole process, showed us many pictures, and made us feel as though we were the most important clients she had even though we were just looking and had explained that to her from the beginning. The process of matching us with a photographer(Kimberly Jackson) went smoothly and the pictures of the wedding turned out great! There are several things my wife and I may have done a little differently after going through the whole wedding process but choosing Bella is a decision we are very happy we made and would not change a thing. The professionalism we saw at the start with Michelle continued throughout the entire process.

I am currently working with Michelle from Bella Pictures she is a great consaltant. I highly recommend Bella pictures for your photofraphy and videography needs. My experience with Bella pictures has been so positive and also alot of fun. My fianace and I loved our engagement session and the pictures turned out beautifully. Again I HIGHLY recommend Bella Pictures for your photography and videography needs. You will be very pleased as I am.
When my fiance and I started looking into a photographer for our wedding I wanted a good photographer that would take quality pictures. After my engagement photos I realized that I got a GREAT photographer and a very personalized service. My fiance hates to take pictures and Bella was able to relax him and we got great photos (ones my fiance actually likes). My contact at Bella is extremely helpful and very interested in making sure my wedding is everything I want. I am extremely satisfied with the service and the quality of Bella.
It has been a pleasure working with Bella so Far. Michelle Lewis has Been very helpful to us and we are glad that we chose Bella. Michelle was the First Photography Consultant that I met with and I really didn't know what to expect. She explained it well for us. I looked around and Couldn't find anyone that could beet Bella's prices.
We just had our engagement session last week and I think the Photos turned out great. They tell you 28 days to get your Photos and I got them in less than a week I was impressed.
I just cant wait for the Big day to come! I'm looking forward to working with Michelle Lewis my Photography Consultant.
Thanks Michelle
Choosing a photographer to capture this memory is a tough choice, however as soon as I spoke with Selina our contact, I was extremely confidant with Bella and knew that this would be one less thing to worry about . Selina was very interested in our wedding and planning. I am sure that the photos will turn out great! I am very pleased with the service.
My fiancee and I just started planning our May wedding and once we meet with Selina we knew that Bella Pictures was the choice for us. We are on a tight budget and they worked with us until we got a price that we could manage. Our engagement pictures came out great and I can't wait to see what we get from the wedding!
Leanna is a great rep. She was always there for me through several emails picking on all the little details. She also was more than willing to meet with me to go over all the changes. Leanne was very attentive to hearing exactly what I want to make my wedding photos awesome. It's so hard to choose the best photographer for your day because you only have one shot...from the images I have seen online, Bella has some great photographers on their team! If we were to choose our photographer on quality alone, Bella would win hands down.
I used Bella for my photography needs and couldn't be more disappointed. I should've ran at the first sign of trouble! An engagement session came with my package. When my husband and I arrived at our wedding sight for this session, our photographer was nowhere to be found. They had access to both my husband and my cell phone numbers and both of our e-mail addresses. Despite that fact, they only tried to call us once on my phone the day before to let us know he wouldn't be available. I will say our photographers were great and the pictures look really nice online for the most part. However, they are not photojournalists! The DVD Montage I just received is BORING and uses some of the pictures I really didn't like! Not to mention the fact that the pictures were stretched so everyone looks very wide!!! When looking at the website it says that you have a creative specialists that works with you on your album after the wedding. I have never heard from one and can't figure out how to use their online system so almost 8 months later I have made no headway on getting my album finished. Considering the fact that I was a teacher and not only made our schools yearbook online but also published a newspaper monthly using an online template, I have no idea how anyone is able to successfully use their online program for their album. So, my advice is to look elsewhere for your photography needs. There is only one day and if it isn't done right the first time, there is no going back. I have lost a lot more that the few thousand dollars I paid them for their services!!!
We have chosen Bella Pictures as our photographer for our wedding. We just finished our couple's portrait session. I am excited to see the photos. Leanne Lamusga is our consultant and she has been wonderful. She has kept in touch and been available for questions when we needed her. I look forward to working with them on the day of the wedding. Thanks for all of your hard work so far.
The photographs for our wedding were extremely important to us so we were very picky when it came to choosing who would help us capture the moments we wanted to hold onto forever.
Our relationship with Bella began with meeting our Photography Consultant, Michelle Lewis-Kapp, in person. After meeting with a slew of wedding vendors with varying degrees of professionalism we were extremely pleased with the presentation and professionalism that Michells provided. We asked a lot of questions and she took her time to explain all of the packages to us so that we could make the right decision for us. We walked away from our meeting feeling that Michelle would take care of us extremely well.
After we met Michelle we were sent a link to a website where we could rate photographs from other weddings in the effort for us to choose which photographers would work best for what we wanted. We thought this was a lot better than just looking at a photographers portfolio and picking them as we weren't sure which photographers photographs we were looking at, only whether we liked them or not. Kind of like a blind ballot based on expertise, it was actually a lot of fun.
After rating the photos online we were matched with Jay Crihfield as our main photographer and we were blown away by the photos we found online that he had done. After rating all of those photos previously it looked like our photographers expertise was exactly what we were hoping for. We had two photographers so at a later time we were also matched with Matthew Staley as our 'ghost/floating' photographer and we were excited about what our wedding pictures would turn out like. Throughout this entire process Michelle kept in contact with us to let us know what was going on and to make sure we were happy with everything....and we were.
We also had our wedding videography with Bella and we were matched with Al Kohout, who had an extensive collection of beautiful wedding videos.
Our wedding day started out with Jay and Matthew taking 'prep' pictures of us in our seperate rooms with our bridal party. There were some 'portrait' pictures as well as some 'spontaneous' pictures and it was a lot of fun for everyone.
Honestly, we don't remember seeing the videographer or photographers at the wedding since we were so focused on each other but based on the photos we've seen, apparently they were taking beautiful pictures everywhere during the ceremony. Every 'once in a lifetime' moment was caught by the photogs, along with a lot of cute, spontaneous pictures of us and our guests before and during the ceremony.
We were excited when we planned to have our post-wedding ceremony pictures taken at the Morton Arboretum with all of the beautiful Fall colors but on the day of our wedding....it rained. Jay Crihfield hopped into action and made the best of a tough situation by taking countless pictures in unique situations/poses and they all turned out better than we could ever imagined.
At our wedding reception Jay and Matthew didn't let up on their performance as they came up with one beautiful shot after another. Jay took time to get all the 'required' family photos that every family seems to want at weddings where all the relatives are in attendance, so we were very appreciative of that, as well. By the time the photographers and videographer left, we felt like they more than earned their money.
After we got back from our Honeymoon we received a link from Bella with our photographs on it and we were ecstatic with the results. We've shown all of our friends and family and, when they aren't brought to tears, they highly compliment the pictures.
Bella is expensive but you get what you pay for. Classy, professional and timeless memories caught through the camera lens were what we were looking for and we were able to get that and more.
Michelle Lewis-Kapp was a tremendous amount of help throughout the entire process so we not only encourage prospective couples to use Bella Photography, but to also request Michelle as their consultant.
Hello,
If there was a negetive star option I would have chosen that.
I am just browsing through different reviews I for Bella pictures on google. I want to start off by telling you that I used Bella for my wedding on 3/22/08 and I had a HORRIBLE experience as well. To say the least...I don't have a formal picture of me and my groom!! Now come on...how do you miss that?! We only have pictures of us at the ceremony with the pastors head in between us and a few while we were dancing. I have been calling to complain and the receptionist keeps telling me that a manager will call me back and...NOTHING. I haven't even ordered any pics or put together my album yet (which I spent $3000 on!) because I am so upset.
I am writing to ask if anyone who had a horrible situation such as mine got it resolved? Did you ever get a hold of anyone? I need to know what to do from this point. Any information you have would be very helpful.
I WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE THEM 1 STAR! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Finding a quality photogragher was one of the most important things to me when I was planning my wedding! There was no better way to relive the memories but through awesome pictures! We met with many photograghers in our area and then we found Bella Pictures. My mom and I met with the consultant and she was amazing!! She explained everything about the company, showed us some wonderdul albums and was also available for us. We had our engagement pictures take and they looked great so I was so excited. I had a plan of what my pictures would look like. They assigned us two photographers, one came to my mom's house and the other to my fiance's house. My photogragher was so cockey and rude. He was late and seemed as if he didnt want to be there. Looking back I relized that he was a contractor working for Bella as a part time job so he didnt put in 100% effort. He had an attitude with my husband and was just outright ignorant and unprofessional.
The secone photographer was awesome. Well when the pictures came back, they were HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely horrible!!!!! Not 1 good picture of my family or me and my bridesmaids. I have about a handful of pictures of my husband and I. I just cried and cried!! The customer service reps NEVER got back to me and were not polite!!! Please trust me, DO NOT use this company!!!!!
I have called Bella pictures and asked them to meet my fiancee. They decided on meeting near Dallas in a Starbucks location. My fiancee was going to meet a certain "Kristi" who did not show up. She tried to call her but her phone was off! She went to another Starbucks near that place thinking that there could be some miscommunication... but noone was there.
A day later, Kristi calls and claims that she waited 45 minutes at Starbucks and that she called my fiancee but my fiancee did not answer!!!
Once I knew, I called Bella's pictures and left a message but noone called me back!!!
With that in mind, we all know that there are at least a thousand photographers in the Dallas area and I would therefore advise everyone to stay away from Bella's pictures who have a strong media support but lack respect.
I would completely advise against using Bella photography. I hired them for my wedding in April. I do not have enough space to type how ridiculous my experience was, so I will just let you know about the biggest blunder. I printed a list of 10 formal pictures I wanted to be taken after the wedding, but prior to entering the reception. I discussed these with the photographer prior to the wedding day. I actually put Bride and Groom only on the list even though one would ASSUME a wedding photographer would know to take several of those. NOT ours!!! Out of 1200 images, there was not one single image of just my husband and I. They were completely unresponsive to my dissatisfaction until I let them know I would be posting my experience on line. They have still been unable to resolve the issue. I asked for some money back, but they would rather "CROP" images and make a fake picture. It was absolutey the only part of my wedding planning that I regret. I will be angry about this experience for a very long time.
My fiance and I went to talk to Jodi, a photo consultant yesterday, and she was wonderful. She brought many samples and answered all of our questions. She knew what she was talking about and was willing to do whatever to took to make this as stress-free as possible.
(Richmond,VA)Bella is great! They are different and give you what you want. They seem to care more about what the bride and groom want out of their day which is what is the most important aspect of the wedding! Bella allows you to create your memories around what you want NOT what your photographer wants. I would recommend them to anyone! I have to admit I was skeptical after some of these reviews but after reading on most of them were from people who did NOT even use Bella so they would not know how great they are. They people who actually used Bella have wonderful things to say about them! Bella keep doing a wonderful job! My pictures are great!
What can I say about Bella pctures.....they were absolutely amazing! From the first time I met with my coordinator, all the way until I was able to review my pictures online (only 3 weeks after the event) they were amazing. My coordinator and my photographer were just so easy to work with and both complimented my style perfectly. I love how I was matched with a photographer whose style of pictures is what I am into (we were so insync she showed up to shoot my wedding in a shirt that I have as well, lol). The outcome is I have 550 pictures of the best day of my life and they are all usable, they are all gorgeous. I cannot wait until I get my album, but for now I can go on my wedding website and view all the "perfect" pictures. I would recomend Bella to any new bride.
I had a great experience with Bella. They were one of my favorite vendors to work with, from the account manager, to the photographer, to the album designer, they all took very good care of me.
We choose Bella because they had everything we wanted in one package. I am very detailed oriented and so their contract and process worked great for me.
I did not meet the photography until the day of this is true. But i spoke to him before hand, google'd for his other work and VERY HAPPY with the match. His style and demeanor were fantastic. He had great ideas and just made the day so much more enjoyable. EVERYONE at the wedding thought he was fabulous and our pictures prove it!
We also had a very good experience with the album services, yes it does take awhile, but I knew that and was very determined to get everything done by December. I didn't make this deadline, primarily because I used all three revisions of my photo album. Once again, I was VERY specific with my album and found that they followed my instructions exactly. I did use all three rounds of revisions but that was primarily because I kept changing my mind on which pictures I really loved (there were so many).
When we gave the parent album to my parents they said without prompting "It's like we just relived the wedding again!" Both of our parents LOVE the album. And his brothers and sisters are truly jealous of how great the pictures and albums turned out. Of the 8 weddings his family has hosted, our pictures are far and away the best.
Bella was truly one of my favorite vendors to work with. A lot of vendors I dealt with made a great first impression but grew increasingly harder to deal with, try to force their views of weddings on us, and paid less and less attention to us. With Bella, there are quite a few people responsible for your account and each one tries their best. I think if you are the organized bride looking for quality, Bella will be a good match for you.
I am a make-up artist Heather Coopersmith of For Reel Make-up. I wanted to say that I think that Bella Pictures is one of the best in the business. Her photos stand out and her disposition is equally as lovely. I have had the pleasure of working with Bella Pictures on a couple of weddings and I can always count on some amazing photos for my website!!

After I met with the consultant I was super-excited. After that every step of the process was stressful and unimpressive. It took forever to get our engagment session planned. We were told we would get to choose between 2 or 3 photographers for our wedding--we got assigned one. The photographer ended up getting some great shots but they were basically directed by me, he didn't have many creative ideas at all and we didn't really get the photojournalistic feeling we wanted. Friends and family had trouble accessing the photos online, I had trouble ordering my large prints online. I thought those things were minor...then came the album, quite possibly the worst experience of my life. I had to contact the company to even start the album process, there is no easy way to designate which pictures you want, no interface between the online photos and your album. Then after waiting weeks for the first draft I was nearly in tears when it came because of how bad it was--it didn't even make sense. I couldn't even talk to the company for over a month because of how upset I was. I finally got most of the changes made to it and 3 weeks before my 1 year anniversary I finally recieved my album. Only to find that there are major flaws that the designers should have known about that I as the consumer wouldn't have even known to look for in the draft. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
We had a great experience with Bella Pictures, from the first meeting with the consultant all the way through to the choosing and production of the album. We were able to speak with the photographer before the wedding, she called to get extra details from us and we were very pleased with her and the associate photographer on the day. They blended in very well with the wedding guest, were approachable, friendly and managed to get some great shots.
Choosing from 1300 prints was a little tedious and approving 3 different drafts did seem to drag on a little but the finished product (one album and four mini albums which we gave to inlaws) was fantastic.
Would definately recommend Bella to future bride/bridegrooms.
Dawn.
As per the postcard insert with my albums, I wanted to share my experience with Bella Pictures.
At first my experience seemed positive. Our photographer was chosen for us, and we agreed to use the first one they found. The day of the wedding they were there on time, snapping away photos, but we never got the classic, just married photograph that my mother still gripes at me to have. I did enjoy our photos, but here are my complaints.
1) They basically handed us 2,000 photos to sort through to find 100 of our favorites. Some of the ones they chose for "our story" were some of the worst photographs taken! After spending nearly 4+ hours of sorting through photos, writing down numbers to send to them, on a form that was ambiguous at best, my email to them was lost, and I was forced to do the process again.
2) After finally getting to them our requests, we waited 6-10 weeks for a draft. I wanted maybe 3 things changed on the draft, but to make the changes, it took them another 6-10 weeks. I even had to email them 6 or seven times to make sure they even got it. Needless to say, communication with them is terrible.
3) After finally getting a third draft - and many weeks later - I threw my hands up and decided to go with what we had. I sent them the approval notice in January for our final draft. It is now July, and I just today got my albums.
I never thought I would see my first wedding anniversary and still not have my wedding albums.
Bella not only contracts out photographers, but they also contract out a printer - who takes 6 months to print 3 albums (all of which are identitical!).
You deal with so many different people: two photographers, a coordinator, a designer, and in my case managers because the process was so tedious.
4) When I got my albums, I realized there was a mistake - a lazy mistake really - when I asked for one photo to be replaced by two on the album, instead of deleting the one photo, they simply placed the two over it, so when it went to the printer and was blown up, you can see in the sliver between the two photos the old one. I am so fed up with this company, I"m not going to bother to try to get another print because frankly, it would take another 6-8 months I'm sure.
In sum, they are not worth the money, difficult to deal with, TEDIOUS in their handling and response to your requests, and all in all a bad company.
Save yourself the hassle, go with someone local, and DO NOT USE BELLA PICTURES
Choosing Bella Pictures was the worst decision we made for our wedding. There was not a single stage of the entire process that was easy. It took over 1 year for us to get our album after a host of printer errors and delays which Bella took 100% of the responsibility for. They just barely delivered our album but only on the threat that I would be canceling my order and asking for a full refund. Instead, we got our album and a partial refund. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Bella Pictures. Everytime I look at my album I'm reminded of how awful the experience was and the unhelpful, unapologetic customer service. They're not worth the hassle.
I am from England and chose to get married in New York, so I literally had to choose my vendors by surfing the net and hope that they would be ok. I found Bella Pictures and loved the photographs that they displayed within their website. Everything appeared genuine so I booked them for my weeding. Their proffesionalism/expertise throughout the whole service was absolutely fantastic. The photographer didn't miss a thing and was just perfect. The album has just been shipped to the UK and neither I, nor my family and friends have ever seen such a unique and beautiful wedding album. I 100% recommend Bella Pictures to anyone looking for a photography package that is definately value for money.
BRIDES BEWARE!!! One star is TOO high of a rating.
If my husband and I had our wedding day to do over the ONLY thing we would change would be the photography. They were very helpful when it came time to take my deposit, after that I it was very difficulty to get any answers from the company. Leading up to the time of our wedding I always had to make contacts with my coordinator and had to wait several days for a reply, typically via email. I never received a phone call in response.
Worse than the service was our photographer. I honestly believe it was his first day as a photographer. He had over 2 hours to complete portraits and I still did not get half the pictures I wanted and I only had a wedding party of 6, including myself and my husband. The photographer had absolutely no innovative ideas and asked several times what exactly was I looking for, I eventually told him a photographer who knew how to do the job he was hired for and I did not see him again until after the ceremony, which there are only pictures of our backs for the ceremony. He missed critical parts of the ceremony as well as the reception.
After waiting over a month for pictures to be posted online, I was even more disappointed to discover that the photographer could not frame a shot. Every single shot was off center with exit signs, trash cans and bystanders in the background.
Creating the album was a hassle as well and again when I attempted to reach my consultant I never received a phone call in return to address my concerns. Now I have FINALLY received our album we are completely disappointed. Overall, we are completely disappointed with the entire experience. This is a really abridged version of the events, but I hope is that couples in the future will at least know how disappointed we are.
Joanna Tagert was our account specialist and she made our experience fun and easy, which when it comes to photography, are not words you would typically think of when planning a wedding. She was always eager to help us and to spend time making sure we got exactly what we wanted. Her follow up and professionalism was remarkable. The photographer was very energetic and after the event, several of our guests commented on how "he just seemed to be everywhere", which was music to our ears since we were hearing this prior to receiving the digital prints. What's more is that we were married on a yacht and, unfortunately, hit some choppy waters at one point during the ceremony. Our photographer acclimated beautifully and pictures, we thought might be a lost cause, some how came out wonderful. He was able to catch some really amazing moments that no one saw coming, and for that, we are extremely grateful. In addition to everything leading up to the big day, our contact afterwards was made enjoyable by Ms. Tagert and her commitment to us until the very very end.
I loved Bella as the photography vendor. Our rep, Selina, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the company's procedures and pricing. I loved that my fiance and I were able to keep the copies of the engagement photos that were taken. Our engagement photographer was extremely friendly and innovative. We are very happy with the job Bella has done so far.
My husband and I were married August 14, 2009, and we chose Bella to film and tape our special day. We are still waiting for video footage, but the pictures turned out awesome. Like our Bella coordinator Michelle Lewis-Kapp said, "These are the only items that will be kept in good condition from the special day." Yes, pricing is a little high, but they are an awesome team. Six hours before the wedding was to begin, our original photographer had a death in the family. Someone else was given the assignment immediately, and Michelle called me right away to let me know what was going on, and reassured me that our new photographer would do a fantastic job. Someone from the corporate was also following up right after she called to make sure I was comfortable and in the loop. All questions and concerns were immediately answered anytime we had any either via email or phone. We never felt like they didn't have our best interests at heart. The replacement photographer Monty was excellent. Obviously professional and totally experienced, I never felt uncomfortable because he was a male. He knew what a bride wanted, and made sure that every shot was great. Our videographer was Mark, and he was very courteous. After everything got started, I didn't see these gentlemen very much during the festivities. They had to be there, because we have pictures, but they are definitely seen and not heard. I can't remember them at all during the wedding, but there are plenty of shots from the front and sides. This is a company that sticks to their word. We hadn't heard anything about them prior to searching for photographers, but they do a wonderful job, and I whole heartedly recommend them if your budget allows. Expensive, but worth it if you plan to value your memories for years to come like we do.
I can not imagine having to chose a photographer any other way than the way Bella matched us up with ours. Bella assessed our photography style and then determined which photographer would be the best fit.... we were amazed with how well everything turned out...I loved my photographer! If you are looking for awesome photos at an affordable price! Check out bella! you will not be disappointed. Phil and i are very happy!
