I visited a lot of dress shops in the Richmond, Norfolk, Virginia Beach area and Bella Rosa was definitely top notch. Camberly helped me find the right dress- which was challenging for me. I love the way the shop is set up- the wedding dresses are kept in a separate room from the other dresses and the main entrance- it provides a relaxing, private, and quiet environment for brides-to-be. I loved being able to think and not having to try dresses on in the front window of a store with customers walking in and out! Plus, Camberly is experienced, knowledgeable and has an excellent sense of customer service. The overall experience was awesome!

What a wonderful bridal salon! After going to about 5 salons before this one, I can tell you, Bella Rosa is the best! They really know what they are doing! My bridal consultant Camberley made the entire experience relaxing and fun! I found my dream dress to wear on my recent Nov 5th wedding. They do a great job of not showing you dresses out of your budget, which was important to me. I got a beautiful sash to go with my dress and my veil from Bella Rosa too. I would recommend to any bride looking for great service!

I visited several places when trying to find the perfect wedding dress and was the most impressed with the service at Bella Rosa. I ended up buying my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses at Bella Rosa. I worked with Phyllis and cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She never made me feel pressured through the selection process, she helped me to stay within my budget, and was very patient with me (and my bridesmaids) during the process of ordering our bridesmaid dresses. I did work with a few of the other girls if I needed something and Phyllis wasn’t working and always had a really positive experience. Best advice: be honest about your budget and ask about average alteration costs (and factor that in) when selecting your dress. I felt the alterations were pricey, but that’s because my dress needed a lot of alterations (because it was so fitted). The alterations were done perfectly and all in-house, so it was really convenient. I wouldn’t take your dress anywhere else to get altered just to potentially save a little money. Why buy and expensive dress and then skimp on the alterations?! I’m only saying this because I thought about getting them done somewhere else and am SO GLAD I didn’t! Highly recommend Bella Rosa.

I came here after my cousin recommended the place (she was a Bella Rosa bride too), and I was glad I did. They had a ton of selection, catered to my large group with ease, and helped me find my dress. Unlike other bridal salons I had been to, Bella Rosa was clean, temperature moderated well (nice when you're standing in your skivvies, waiting for a gown), and overall, calm and inviting. Once I had decided on a dress, the seamtress was very attentive, and made sure everything was fitting correctly and in its right place.They were also able to pack my dress for travel (down to Key West) at no extra charge. Definitely worth going to.

I had such a great experience at Bella Rosa! I really enjoyed going to a local bridal store instead of somewhere like David’s Bridal. I started out browsing wedding dresses online to get ideas, and I came across a Wtoo dress that I fell in love with. Come to find out, Bella Rosa was the only bridal store in the general area that had this dress. I knew this dress was the one before I even tried it on, but I still wanted to have the experience of trying on different styles. Phyllis was my consultant and she was a pleasure to work with. The Wtoo dress was the last dress I tried on, and of course it was the one! Bella Rosa was also the only store in the general area that had the Dessy bridesmaids dresses that I wanted (and had the sample dress in the color I wanted!). The timeframe for the orders were accurate. Phyllis was always easy to communicate with. There were two miniscule flaws on two of the BM dresses (not a fault of Bella Rosa) and they were adamant about sending the dresses back to get fixed. You wouldn't have been able to see the flaws without a magnifying glass, but it goes to show how closely they inspect items before releasing them to their customer! We would have rented our tuxedos through Bella Rosa if our wedding wasn't out of town.

I fell in love with this place my first visit and HAD to get my dress there. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. They were fine with me trying on as many dresses as I liked and they were well organized so I could find a dress in my price range. They also gave me a percentage off my dress because I ordered it within 15 days of my first visit. That's a big deal when you are looking at wedding dress prices! They helped me through the entire process.

Bella Rosa was a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly and very helpful from start to finish. They had a large selection, experienced staff, and quality product. They measured me so well that my experience was alteration free! I was able to use my alteration budget to splurge on a beautiful veil. You won't be sorry you went to Bella Rosa!

I loved Bella Rosa! I ended up there due to my friend that is from Richmond. I was having trouble finding something in D.C., but I went to Bella, found my dress and had a great time. They were very professional and Camberly was my favorite. I adored her and she took such great care of me. I was thrilled when I wanted to make a bunch of changes to my dress. They did all of them, and did wonderfully. I have no regrets buying here and making that drive on a regular basis.Thank you again Bella and Camberly!!!

My daughter's first venture out to look at wedding gowns was to Bella Rosa. Phyllis was our consultant and couldn't have been nicer or more knowledgeable. We found THE ONE on that first trip, and Phyllis picked out the perfect veil to compliment the dress. We were told the dress would arrive in about 12 weeks. Much to our surprise and delight, the dress arrived early. The fit was close to perfect --- only a few little tweaks were needed. The alterations staff was AWESOME. Given the design of the dress and the train involved, 33 bustles were required. We had two training sessions on bustling and the staff was very patient with us. The veil had not arrived when bridal portraits were taken --- but not to worry --- Bella Rosa let us use the sample from the store. We traveled to East Carolina University to have the bridal portraits done on the campus. As a result of our walking all over campus, a few areas along the edge of the gown got dirty. Bella Rosa recommended the perfect individual to clean the gown, and everything came out. Meghan was a stunning bride in her gown. Thank you Bella Rosa for the part you played in making her wedding special. And thank you Phyllis, Heather and the alterations staff for being so great to work with!

I ordered by dress from Bell Rosa. The place is great. My mother, father, and I went to try on dresses on a Thursday during the day. The shop was completely empty, so we had tons of time to try on dresses and never felt rushed. Kathy was my consultant and she was wonderful. She picked dresses based on the shape/style I wanted (dropped waist, a-line, ornate) and while I was trying them on, my mother was able to browse through all the dresses to pick out others. I tried on about 10 dresses and found THE ONE. I had to have 4 fittings but they were always easy to schedule and did not take long. My overall experience was wonderful.

I bought my dress from Bella Rosa last summer for my May 2011 wedding. It was a wonderful experience all around. My consultant, Phyllis, found my dream dress in minutes - I knew it was the one right when I saw it! I also found my bridesmaids dresses and my mother's dress the same day! My only complaint is that I was convinced to order a size larger than I needed (I fully zipped into the sample dress and then ordered a size larger). Needless to say, I was swimming in it when it came in. It wasn't too much of a problem, though, as almost all bridal salons have you order a larger size. I certainly recommend shopping for your gown in Bella Rosa. You are sure to find your dream dress!

I went to 4 salons in Richmond and made Bella Rosa my last. I had heard great things so I fully expected to find my dress there and they did not let me down! Phyllis listed to what I said and pulled the perfect dress for me. Once it came in, we did struggle with the fitting but the consultant staff and the alterations staff were patient and helpful. I had about 8 fittings which I was not prepared for, but there were no "add ons" to the alterations fees and they were very kind in dealing with the picky-ness of myself and my mother. There was never a moment when they thought about anything short of perfection for me and my dress! When I had my portraits done, some of the accessories I had purchased had not come in so they let me use the samples that they had in stock. Later, my aunt needed a dress to wear to the wedding and they helped her pick one and had a the alterations completed in less than a week!!! I am beyond thrilled that I got my dress there and would recommend to everyone that they shop there!

I loved that Bella Rosa was very clean, neat and not crowded! All the staff there are so friendly! I loved Cathy, the sales lady that helped me with my dress. She was super friendly and not pushy at all. They have a good selection of all different styles/prices/fabric of dresses! They were very flexible in working with my schedule to get my dress altered in time for the big day!Overall, great place to shop for a wedding gown/ cocktail dress/ dress for an event!

I found my wedding dress after trying on four dresses. Kelsey knew my budget and picked the dress out for me- it was PERFECT! Plus $150 under my budget which I could put toward alterations. I placed the order for my dress on Oct. 30th. They told me 8 weeks was the standard turn around time. Beginning of January I called to check on the status of my dress, they said it was scheduled to ship for the vendor in a week. February came around and I hadn't heard from them, I called again. They said the dress had arrived with a flaw so they sent it back!! They never called to tell me! Said it would be another two weeks. March comes around and no word. I am freaking out by this point because my wedding is 6months away. I call them again and have a chat with the manager. She apologized for any inconvenience, and it's their policy not to alert the bride if there is a flaw in the dress then sent back so as not to alarm her. She did give me a nice discount and a free bridal portrait session and 8x10 with a local photographer to make up for the problem. My dress arrived the first week of April. It was PERFECT! I was so happy when I put it on again. The alterations person they had on staff made it fit like a glove and I loved the bustling. They had my dress pressed for my bridal portraits, and had it pressed and ready for my wedding. Though my dress was very late arriving, I blame the dress vendor who made the dress, not Bella Rosa. Bella Rosa made it up to me and I recommend them to anyone looking for a gorgeous gown.

I went to Bella Rosa for my bridesmaid's dresses. Unfortunately the associate did not measure the girls correctly. Each dress was ordered two sizes too big. Luckily, management apologized and offered to alter the dresses for free.

Beautiful Selection, Impeccable Customer Service. I have only had wonderful experiences at Bella Rosa. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and compassionate. It is a beautiful store with a great selection. My consultant made looking for the dress so much fun. From the alterations department to the people who answer the phone, everyone has gone out of their way to be helpful and kind. I highly recommend this store for a memorable and positive experience!

I loved my dress! I got semi-frustrated with my search for the perfect gown until I went to Bella Rosa. They were having a trunk sale on Pronovias gowns and the first one I saw was The One! My consultant, Phyllis, was wonderful. She was so helpful and supportive. I bought my shoes, veil, and rehearsal dinner dress there. My Lela Rose rehearsal dinner dress was a big hit. It was totally worth the 2 hour drive to Richmond to have the great experience that I did at Bella Rosa.

This is the perfect place to find your wedding dress! They have a huge selection & will make you feel like the perfect bride! My only complaint: my consultant convinced me that I had tried on a ton of dresses, when it was really only about 10 and I didn't feel as if I tried on enough. This was my first stop, and I believe she did this because we were nearing the end of our consultation time. I obviously found my dress here and loved it! I received so many compliments on it at the wedding and they delivered it just in the time they told me it would be in. My bridesmaids purchased their dresses here as well and they ran into no issues whatsoever. Beautiful store with beautiful dresses!

Unfortunately I have to change my review of this shop. At first it was great. My consultant was awesome. BUT, after today, I don't think I will be returning there for anything! I had a 1pm appointment for 6 of my bridesmaids to be fitted and to order their dresses. They were so unorganized AND the primary consultant was rude. I was told that the dresses would be pulled for the appointment so the bridesmaids could try them on...well they weren't. The consultant wanted to measure the girls, pick a size on the chart and order the dresses. How can you can you order a dress without knowing which dress they were getting?! I asked her if the dresses would be pulled and the stuck-up &$(#@ said in a snotty tone, "they would be eventually"! I'm getting angry all over again... my sister retorted in the same tone as she did and the consultant didn't like it and all of a sudden she had to leave. Here comes another consultant she was just as bad. Back comes the 1st one. All the while they leave the secondary consultant to contend with us. She was super sweet and awesome. After being on her 3rd day of work, she rocked!!! I can't even say that it was a race thing because another young lady was left hanging as well. I'd read other reviews about the salon that were not good and mentioned the very thing that I mentioned above; in addition to ordering the wrong size dresses. BEWARE!

Found the wedding dress the first time we went in there. The dress was gorgeous and I felt that way every time I tried it on for a fitting. They were great to work with and it was a lovely experience. We did have a little problem with the alterations, but once it was brought to their attention it was taken care of immediately. They were very easy to work with and I would highly recommend them!

I would definitely recommend Bella Rosa. My one complaint from them is that they ordered my dress way too big, so I had to pay a lot of money for alterations. Overall, they were great to work with and I would recommend them.

Bella Rosa is a fantastic salon that offers a full range of bridal attire. I worked with Phyllis Mullens who was FANTASTIC. She continued to work with me when I moved out of state and still needed help coordinating my veil and other accessories. Her professionalism, patience and genuine personality made shopping for a bridal gown a truly wonderful experience. I couldn�t get over how responsive she was which also soothed any jitters I had about ordering my gown.I would recommend Bella Rosa as well as Phyllis to anyone who is looking for attire for their special day!!Andrea

Kelsey was my consultant, and my experience was pleasant every time I went to Bella Rosa. I wanted to stay below $1,000 for a dress, and I was offered plenty of good options at this price point. You do need an appointment, but it is well worth it - you are given plenty of space, plenty of attention, and plenty of help - in a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.The cost of my alterations was right around what I was told to budget. This seemed a bit high to me as a total number, but when the seamstress went through each alteration and the price for each one, it seemed reasonable. And the quality of the finished product was outstanding. In retrospect, I am very glad I paid for every alteration that was recommended - it was well worth it.Everything was ready on time - even ahead of time. And every person at the salon was very professional, helpful, and friendly. I recommend this salon to anyone.

I had been to many other bridal salons before going to Bella Rosa. Bella Rosa is your typical bridal salon. If you want a more pleasant experience than the hustle and bustle of David's Bridal, then go here. While you will pay more, it may be worth it for this one time event in your life. They were extremely professional and had a good selection of dresses to choose from. I had an overall good experience. My only concern was the alterations, which seemed pretty pricey to me. It cost about 25% of my dress for a hem, bustle and a few minor alterations that just kept adding up. I guess I should have factored that in when I told them my price range.

Bella Rosa is fantastic, and was easy to work with from the day I shopped for my dress until after my wedding day. Their tailor stopped at nothing to make sure my dress would be perfect for my day, and they even fixed and steamed my dress after my wedding day before another reception being held for us (with only 2 days notice!). Kelsey was my associate- she is phenomenal. Everyone there knew who I was by the time my wedding came around and were all equally friendly and supportive, though.

I have had nothing but a FANTASTIC experience at Bella Rosa! I went here as the very first place I tried on dresses and then continued on to places I felt were more within my budget. Because of the amazing service I'd received there I really felt compelled to go back and give them another shot. I ended up finding my dress on their Sample rack for a great price! I spent almost as much in alterations (that would be the only negative here) but it looks absolutely AMAZING! They've been phenomenal to work with! I highly recommend them!

Bella Rosa Bridal was the shop where I bought and altered my wedding gown. Not only were they very helpful and patient with my mom and I when picking out dresses, but they were also very accommodating with my fittings. I live 2 hours from the salon and they made sure that every time I traveled to the store, I had the most possible alterations done to my dress at that time. In addition, the tailors that work there are amazing! My dress literally fit me like a second skin when they were finished.

Everyone here was so friendly, and the dress was perfectly taken care of. Alterations were flawless and fast. Most beautiful dress selection in Richmond!

I had a HORRIBLE experience with Bella Rosa. The one positive thing I can say for them is that they have a nice selection of dresses. Otherwise, I feel like they're just out to make the sale. I would not return to this store for any occasion - or recommend it to anyone else.

If you're looking for someone to sell you a dress, Bella Rosa is fine. If you want someone who is sincerely interested in making the bride happy, steer clear!

such a nice store, all their dresses were well-kept, really nice staff, wide price range (most of my favorite dresses were BELOW my price range, which was a surprise!) and I could get everything there ... tuxes, bridesmaids, everything ... really convenient.

Bella Rosa outfitted myself and entire bridal party. This included my gown and alterations (Jim Hjelm), shoes, veil, hair comb, and earrings. We also got my mom's mother-of-the-bride dress, 6 bridesmaid (Amsale) dresses, 1 junior bridesmaid (Waters), and flower girl dress. Our guys also rented their tuxes at Bella Rosa. We had a fantastic experience. While I only tried on dresses at one other store, Bella Rosa was a much better experience. The women were super friendly and patient (key with our crowd), and they were really on top of things. When several groomsmen went to try on their tuxes the afternoon before the wedding, we had several items that did not fit. They were able to get replacement by the end of the day, and everyone looked fantastic. We got to know the ladies at Bella Rosa pretty well, so I even got good luck hugs when I picked up my dress the day before the wedding!

Bella Rosa is a fabulous upscale bridal gown boutique. The women there are extremely nice and considerate of your budget. Although most of their gowns are pricey, they have a good selection of sample gowns on sale both online at bellarosabridal.com and in the store. Although I did not purchase my gown here, I felt like I was in good and kind hands the two hours I spent there. The woman working with me was so sweet even when I told her I didn't think that I had found my dress. Excellent experience!

The staff at Bella Rosa were wonderful to work with - supportive and patient. The dress was flawless for the big day!

Beautiful Dresses however I arrived for my appointment 20 minutes early and was made to wait an additional 15 minutes past the scheduled time. My assistant did not even realize I needed a dress off the rack and did not clarify which dresses were in my price point. I am sure if I would have had a different assistant this would not have happened - she also was dressed unprofessionally in a very short skirt and did not seem pleased when my mother and sister offered opinions about the different dresses.

I visited almost every dress shop in Richmond and I had the best experience, by far, at Bella Rosa. The salesperson paid a lot of attention to the type and price of dress I was looking for and didn't even let me tempt myself with something out of my range. She was incredibly patient and respectful of my friends and family's opinions. Although they carry a number of expensive dresses, I found an extremely affordable dress there that was perfect in every way. One day, I even stopped by unannounced with some friends and they pulled my dress out and found me a dressing room and not once did they act like it was an inconvenience.My only issue related to the alterations, which were originally estimated at $250, but were actually more like $500. That would be my only warning.

I tried on dresses at 4 other shops in the Richmond area and was very impressed with the attention and service I received at Bella Rosa. I tried on many dresses and they never got a bored and agitated vibe from them. All the staff are very patient and very professional.

The woman at Bella Rosa were very accomodating. I was late for my appointment, showing up 30 minutes before the store closed. My consultant did not seem angry or upset. She simply said "Let's get busy" I found the dress that day. All of my fittings went very smooth, and they listened to everything I wanted.

Bella Rosa was the first placed I looked for my dress. I was pregnant when I got married and they were extreamly understanding about helping me find a dress that would still fit me on my wedding day. The sales associate that I was working with even suggestd I stuff a bit of tulle under the dresses to see how I would look with a baby bump! It was a brillant idea and helped me decide between two dresses. I came in for fittings about once a month and then every week as my wedding date got close to make sure the dress still fit me. It was a wonderful exprince and was very pleased with thir service. I highly reccomend them! Thank you so much for the wondrful experince!!!!

We found my wedding dress and my Mom's mother-of-the-bride dress here. A little pricey but the ladies who do all of the alterations are amazing!

I highly recommend Bella Rosa for bridal gowns and bridesmaids - I got both there and enjoyed every visit. I wish every store I went in treated me like their ladies do--in the end, I didn't know if I was getting lowest prices and I didn't care. I knew I was getting the best service and that everything was going to work out perfectly. And it did! More dresses to choose from in my price range than any other store in the area, and by far the nicest environment. You should definitely shop there!

I selected my bridesmaids dresses from Bella Rosa I loved them on my girls and the staff was very helpful even though I had several different appointments to look at dresses and make sure they were the ones I wanted. I warn they are not the best for price but the dresses are beautiful but expensive. I felt bad making my girls pay so much for a dress most wont wear again.Between $170.00-$250.00 for each girl

Bella Rosa was EXTREMELY overpriced. I paid 2000 for my dress there, and found it at Hannelores in Alexandria for 500 cheaper! The ladies who ran the store were very snotty and seemed too good for us after we had bought the dress. They promised us that the alterations would be between 200-300 dollars at the most and they ended up costing us over 500 dollars. I had to go back 2 for fitting which is normal, but the second time they totally messed up my dress. They wouldn't admit that the alterations weren't done properly. They pretended not too see the giant bulge on one side of the dress. They made the dress way too tight after the first fitting. Added to that I had lost more weight in between the two! I had to try on the dress 5 different times on the second fitting before it was comfortable and looked nice. I would NEVER recommend this salon for ANY bride, no matter how much they can afford to pay. The alteration ladies are simply not up to par. Don't let them touch your dress. They might ruin yours like they almost did mine!My mother also had her dress ordered from the store, and when we took it home, it had a big stain on the front! We ended up with part of our money back, but it was still horrible. They wanted to charge her 175 for the alterations, and we found someone locally who did it for 80. Overall they were HORRIBLE! Don't go there!!!!!!

IT was ok to shop there, better than Davids Bridal (who I wouldnt even step a foot into their store!)

My dress (Anne Barge) jewelry (Winters & Rain) and shoes came from Bella Rosa, and my experience was so positive throughout that my mom went back after my last fitting (somewhat last minute!) and bought her gown (Amsale) for the wedding, and some nice jewelry that went along with it. I didn't priceshop to see who had the lowest prices, but I did visit five other dress shops and had uniformly bad experiences with them - I can usually put up with a bit of attitude and questionable conditions in a retail store, but I had high expectations this single purchase that I'd been looking forward to for years. Bella Rosa didn't let me down. They've got a beautiful store full of amazing dresses and they know how treat customers. I've been recommending them to everyone. They're the "real deal!"

After tons of searching, I was lucky to find Bella Rosa for my wedding dress. I had many, many compliments on how beautiful it was and how beautiful I was in it. I can't even express how happy I was with my wedding dress. The price was just right, as well.

I used Bella Rosa to order my bridesmaid dresses. They had the right style and color that I liked. I thought that the price was good and decided to have my girls order from them. I then later found out that I could have gotten them at the store where I purchased my gown for about $20 cheaper per dress. My maid of honor used Bella Rosa for her alterations and was completely displeased with the service. When she asked them to adjust the waist down a little as it was too big, they said no because it would make her bust look "out of proportion" (she has a large bust). In truth, all it did was make her waist and hips look MUCH bigger than they really are.My mother and I looked for a gown for her at Bella Rosa. We found the perfect dress, but the price was extremely high. My mother was able to find the same dress at Neiman Marcus for almost half the price! In my opinion, anyone with a higher price than Neiman's is just kidding themselves.

I actually purchased my dress through Bella Rosa at a Bridal Show. My gown had been $1100 and I bought it for $100. Even in a busy/ stressful show atmosphere the company was well represented with several associates on hand to help. They had a good selection available and offered many great ideas for completing the look and getting alterations.

They pay alot of attention to you if you are buying something. When I brought my bridesmaids in for their dress try ons, the staff was not as attentive. Gorgeous dresses, chic, but pricey.

I went to Bella Rosa for my bridesmaid dresses.I had five bridesmaids who each spent around $225.00 for their dress. The alterations were double what they quoted one of my girls. The ladies were all snotty and had horrible attitudes. I refused to buy my dress there after the service I got for my bridesmaids. The order did not come in on time and almost did not allow time for my girls to have the alterations needed. The only positive feedback that I had was the dress was nicely made, but if given the chance again, I would buy a nicely made dress from another store.

I have been to Bella Rosa for 2 different occasions. One as a bridesmaid and one as the bride. Both were great experiences. As a bridesmaid I was just measured and tried on the sample dress, but everyone was very polite and helpful. When I was the bride the experience was fantastic!! They were great about showing me dresses within my budget (not something I couldn't afford!!), and contrary to the previous review, they were very upfront with what to expect as far as alteration costs, and the seamstresses were very polite and patient. Overall my experiences there have been outstanding.

I just wanted to write how wonderful Bella Rosa was, especially Cathy. They have a wonderful selection of gowns, they are extremely nice and actually listen to you and really help you. After going to many bridal shops where I felt the experience was not what it should have been I went to Bella Rosa, they helped me find a dress, and let me look at their selection, not just have people pick out what I would like, and made the whole experience really pleasant. Their prices were competitive, their prices for alterations really good and the shop itself is really nice and comfortable. It was well worth the drive from Washington, DC!

My daughter bought her magnificent Cathedral length veil at this location and she had picked out my dress that I purchased. Phyliss was our Bridal Consultant and she was very welcoming and comforting addressing my concerns in being able to fit into this dress due to my extremely petite size. Christine, Store Manager and Phyliss were both available for me when I came for my fitting knowing how nervous I would be and had informed the seamstress to be prepared. Luckily the way the dress was made, the size 2 actually fit with a firm knot at the halter neck and just a hemline needed to be done. Thank you for such caring individuals during a momentus time in my daughters life, but yet there is stressful times such as these to accomplish!

Although I am from Charleston, WV, I decided to purchase my dress in Virginia because I was getting married in Charlottesville and I knew the selection of gowns would be better in Virginia than anywhere in WV. I looked at two stores in Richmond and Bella Rosa had by far the best selection! The staff was extremely accomodating and patient - especially considering that I had to drive 5 hours just to get there for my fittings!
