The Pen Ryn Estate

What an amazing job they did! Absolutely not one problem, the food was delicious, plentiful and all the staff were fantastic. The Pen Ryn Mansion where we had the affair on Nov. 9 was beautiful and classy. The entire organization was outstanding and I highly recommend them. Truly outstanding.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Pen Ryn Mansion on Friday November 2, right after Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast. Luckily the mansion did not have any major damage,they just lost electricity from the storm. The Tuesday after the storm, my wedding coordinator Katrina, as well as the other women whom I didn't even work with in the whole process, Patti, both contacted me to keep me up to date with what was going on. Unfortunately the mansion was unable to get the power back on before our wedding that Friday night but Katrina and the entire staff were well prepared to host my wedding with or without power. Katrina made sure to contact all my vendors for me to let them know that the mansion would be without electricity and running only on generators and lite by candles.
When we got to the mansion on Friday everything looked wonderful! The candles actually added a nice romantic feel to the mansion, and a lot of my guests didn't even know we were running only on generators. Katrina and the entire staff did an amazing job making sure everything ran smoothly. The staff also made sure to clean all the debris from the grounds so we could still have our ceremony outside.
Our guests are still raving about the place itself, the awesome food, and excellent service thought the entire night.
I also loved our personal server Christina who made sure I was never without food or drink the entire night!
I would highly recommend Pen Ryn Mansion to anyone looking for a beautiful, romantic feel to their wedding and who want to work with a staff that is professional and very good at their jobs. (Especially Katrina!)

From the minute my, now husband, took me to see Pen Ryn Mansion, I knew it was where we should get married. Patty Bitting, the wedding coordinator was friendly and informative from the start. It was an excellent wedding day with compliments from all the guests on the venue, and the food. We only upgraded on a couple of things, the up lighting...which really set the mood. The butternut squash soup...which I really liked and the flambe dessert...which I could have done without because there was enough food and activity that it really wasn't needed and there was too much alcohol in it that didn't get cooked off. Overall, I would definitely recommend Pen Ryn if you're looking to have an elegant wedding with excellent customer service.

The Pen Ryn Mansion is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. The minute that my husband and I pulled up I knew that it was the place I wanted to get married. The grounds are beautiful and the mansion is gorgeous with so much character. Unfortunately, it rained the day of my wedding and I wasn't able to get married outside. Though I was upset we couldn't get married outside, the staff turned the ballroom into a beautiful ceremony space and I quickly forgot about the rain. The staff that works at the Pen Ryn Mansion are amazing. We first worked with Katrina. She was extremely sweet and helpful, and answered all of our questions very quickly. Closer to the wedding we met with Patty, who was also very sweet and helpful. She made sure our wedding ran smoothly. I cannot pick out anything that went wrong the day of our wedding. The staff the day of was AMAZING and our head waitress made sure we got everything we wanted and needed. I know that we made the best choice with choosing the Pen Ryn Mansion as our wedding venue and I would recommend the venue to anyone looking for a classy and beautiful place to get married.

What to say about Pen Ryn? Our wedding was 100% absolutely perfect thanks to their attention to detail, patience and assistance. They were able to accommodate every request we asked of them and gave us a day so filled with details and special touches that we'll never forget a second of it. From our first contact with Patty we knew we would receive beyond excellent customer service. When the big day FINALLY arrived, everything was amazing!! We had a lot of little touches and they got them all right, no detail, no matter how small, was missed. They got all of our special diet/needs handled at our dinner with ease, no mishaps or chaos. Plus, there were a lot of extras that we didn't expect/remember to expect that just...I'm actually beyond words at how amazing everything was. Our friends raved all night and our families cannot be more thankful for such a fantastic wedding venue & day. We didn't have to worry about a thing being in Pen Ryn's hands.

Our reception was at Belle Voir Manor and it was completely fabulous! Katrina and the staff were unbelievably helpful throughout the planning process and all the way through the wedding day. When our hotel shuttle failed to show up to the hotel to bring our guests to the reception, I went into total bridal panic mode. Katrina took over, secured another shuttle and ensured that our guests had an amazing time. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Our guests are still raving about what a great time they had with us at Belle Voir! You will be thrilled with your decision to have your reception at Belle Voir, as we were!

The setting is lovely and I might recommend with some reservations. The cocktail hour is spread over several rooms plus butlers and it seems people did not eat as much as if there had been a few large tables in one area. People seemed to congregate in bunches (there is very little seating) and did not circulate from one room to the other so it felt like kind of a waste (also not the best setup for elderly guests). The food was okay but definitely not as tasty or as lavish as we expected. They were walking around handing out dinner rolls to our guests and I requested bread baskets on the tables but this did not happen (many Italian guests; we love our bread). The entree was okay, nothing more. Our maitre'd was very attentive and helpful; other than that don't expect too much help in preparing for the big day. Also there are steps to the restrooms and it's a bit of a walk from the ballroom so again a consideration for the older guests.

I cannot say enough good things about Pen Ryn Manor - we actually had our wedding at Belle Voir Mansion, on the grounds. My sister was also married here, so I have two opportunities to witness how awesome this place is. The service, flexibility, food, and setting is the best combo I found when looking for a venue. I worked with Katrina, who helped me with all the ins and outs of the wedding planning, and I was so happy with everything, that I would recommend this to anyone looking to plan their special occasion. All 5's for us!! Not one single complaints with Belle Voir and their team!!!

I had my wedding at Pen Ryn, and it went spectacularly! I worked with Katrina for the day-of, and I can't say enough about her. She was prompt, helpful, patient, and very detail-focused. Let me share the great elements of the day and a few small disappointments:

Great things:

-- The food. My husband and I went to a tasting at the venue, and we were really underwhelmed. The food was super-dry because it had been in the chafing dishes for hours. Similarly, the cake was super dry because it had been cut and in the open for hours. But on the day of the wedding, the food was incredible! When made fresh, it's really spectacular. The Pen Ryn salad was underwhelming, but the chicken, tilapia, and vegetable lasagna were great. And the confection plate was super!
-- The service. The day of the wedding, the staff provided me with a personal servant and a maitre d' that were extremely attentive, kind, and helpful!
-- The venue. Everything was so beautiful. The interior decor was pristine, the rooms were all super clean, and the outdoor ceremony was set up perfectly.

Some less pleasant surprises:
-- Responsiveness. At first, I worked with Patty, who was very nice. However, as other reviews indicated, she was slow to respond to emails. Also, it seems rare that the front office phone is answered.
-- Nickel-and-diming. To try specific entrees before the wedding, we would have had to pay the head price per entree - i.e., $125-$140 - just to try the dish! We obviously passed. Also, decorative extras are pretty pricey - about $600 to put covers on our chairs (covers which they already had in the back).

Nevertheless, the venue was great, and I would definitely recommend. Lovely wedding experience!

My daughter in-law and I planned a baby shower for my daughter and her husband at the Belle Voir Manor. Our coordinator was Patty Bitting. I would like to express how happy we were with our accommodations and Patty did everything to make it so easy and relaxing for us throughout the planning process.Everything went well as planned,even the Maitre D, Stephanie was so sweet, at the reception. Everyone of our guests had great time. The food was good and the waiters were very nice.

When we first decided to use Pen Ryn I was thrilled. Katrina was very helpful and the planning went smoothly. On the day of the wedding there was some confusion and I thought some issues should have been explained to me better. I really was overall very happy with my wedding until just before I left my Maid of Honor told me that the bridal suite had been robbed. No one wanted to tell me and ruin my day so they waited until the very end. It turns our someone went in the bridal suite and took money out of every single wallet in the room. The staff was not helpful with this matter at all. The head waitress actually got an attitude with us instead of trying to calm us down. The robbery occurred while the ceremony was going on and my DJ told me that there was no guest inside the mansion at that time so we feel that it had to be a staff member that stole the money. WHAT A JOKE. I was heart broken. I had just had a wonderful day only to find out that myself and my entire bridal party had money taken from them. HIRE NEW STAFF MEMBERS OR RUN A BACKGROUND CHECK BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOME CROOKS WORKING FOR YOU!

We had our wedding at belle voir manor 5/11/2012. It was literally a dream come true, and our guests are still(a month later!) raving about the venue,catering,staff,and overall experience. Patty was a lifesaver and one of the greatest parts of our experience. She was professional,patient,knowledgable and always ready to lend a helping hand. she ensured the staff was well prepared for our large wedding, and her hard work and dedication to the event was evident thought the night.she went above and beyond what her job required and I am so glad I got to know her throughout this experience.moving on to the venue- we use the grounds for our ceremony and it was absolutely breathtaking- the day was perfect, the grounds impeccable, and everyone raved how beautiful the ceremony was. Moving on to the food and drink- although I didn't get to eat or drink much,what I did taste I must admit was more delicious than I thought "wedding food" could be! guests raved about the quality and quantity of the hor de vours, entrees, and drinks- everyone left with a full stomach full of delicious food! I highly recommend the mashed potato bar and the "specialty station" at the end- my guests absolutely loved the special treats! All in all, belle voir not only gave me the wedding of my dreams, they went above and beyond my expectations for my big day! Thank you, belle voir for making all of my dreams come true!!!

The Pen Ryn was amazing. Our reception guests could not stop raving about everything the aesthetics, the food, the service. From the start of the planning stages the staff were incredibly helpful and gracious. There was no pressure to add upgrades like many of the other venues we had looked at. The event coordinators were also flexible in giving us discounted rates for our guests under 21 as the bar is the biggest cost to the venue. They allowed us to come before our ceremony to take formal photos, which thankfully we did because the one down side was that had we not done that our wedding cake could have easily melted as it was set up in a window and the sun was taking its toll on it. Aside from the cake issue, which was quickly and easily rectified everything was set up to perfection and the staff made things feel very personal. The grounds are exquisite, we got the surprise of beautiful lit up barge during the cocktail hour when many people were enjoying the patio areas. The space is large enough to be comfortable but intimate enough to feel like home. The different rooms for the cocktail hour are such a great invitation to mingling and excellent conversation starters. All of the staff and we were concerned because we had heard that it was a lot of teenagers working there were great. One of the wait staff (a teenager) graciously offered to help bustle my gown. From the second we got out of the limo the staff not only paid special and close attention to us but to our parents, siblings and bridal party. We did not miss a thing on the menu, we never were without a drink and the night flowed beautifully so we got to dance and enjoy our guests. The food was amazing, people raved about the attention to detail, perfect textures and they were amazing as far as attention to food allergies (we had a number of them). The only complaint I would have with the food is that there is not announcement when the dessert stations and sundae bar were set up so a lot of people missed sundaes as the ice cream started to melt rather quickly. Again the staff were amazing as far as taking car of us, our families and bridal party but we hated to see all that ice cream go to waste. Overall everyone's feedback has been it was one of the most elegant, fun, delicious and beautiful receptions they have been to. Everyone commented on how awesome the service was as far as how people requested their steak cooked. We got the filet and crab cake and chicken and shrimp dishes both were delicious and perfect. For the service, atmosphere and food the cost is fair and well worth it. We just had the most fun and amazing wedding.

Pen Ryn is gorgeous! We had our wedding ceremony outdoors right between the Delaware river and the picturesque mansion. Sometimes it took an extra phone call/email to get my contacts to respond, however they were much more responsive as it got closer to my date. We were even able to be refunded for some cancelled guests 2 days before! The food is good, the bridal suite is nice and bright and the cocktail hour/reception area is just the best!

I didn't have my ceremony here, just the reception and it was fantastic!!!!!!! We used the Belle Voir side and it was absolutely gorgeous... Everything was so beautiful, the day ran smoothly because their staff is amazing and professional, and the food is out of this world!! Future brides: I highly recommend the mashed potato bar during cocktail hour, my guests are still raving about it... My belly is too :)

Pen Ryn Catering did a fabulous job with our cocktail hour and reception! The grounds were beautiful, the food was amazing, the hall was fully decorated beyond anything we imagined and Patty, our consultant was great to work with!

The only complaint we have was prior to the event, we gave Patty an upfront payment for the bartenders and valet parking attendants gratuity so that our guests could simply enjoy the night and not have to feel obligated to pay or tip. Unfortunately, some of the attendants did accept our guests tips on top of our original payment.

Overall Belle Voir Manor provided our dream wedding and our guests cannot stop talking about how wonderful...

The customer service at Pen Ryn Mansion was amazing. Patty was my consultant and she answered all of my questions via phone and email within 2 business days. The venue is beautiful and the food was incredible! We were married in December and the venue is already decorated for the holidays and it looks beautiful! We highly recommend Pen Ryn Mansion in Bensalem, PA!!!

Our wedding at the Pen Ryn mansion couldn't have been more beautiful. The venue itself is beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful the whole way. Patty was very responsive to all of my requests. She worked with me and offered some great suggestions. Vanessa, our head waitress was extremely attentive and always there when we needed her. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the way that the wedding turned out and the staff was top notch through the whole process!

Our daughter was married recently at Pen Ryn and wow, what a day! I cannot possibly say enough good things about Pen Ryn.. the setting, the beautiful mansion, the service, the food, etc, etc, I could go on and on. They made the entire event seamless. We worked with Patty and Katrina, and both of them were amazing. Pen Ryn tended to every detail, we didn't have to worry about anything. Everything was PERFECT! Our guests are still talking about it! An added plus was the gorgeous weather.. the ceremony was outside. It felt like a dream! Thank you Pen Ryn! I am still on cloud 9.

We got married at the Belle Voir and everything was WONDERFUL! The grounds are beautiful and the ball room was perfect for us! Patty Bitting transformed the room into a romantic, yet fun setting for us which completely exceeded our expectations! The staff really did make the room incredible! In all honesty, their website does not do the room justice. Our guests are still talking about how great the food was at both cocktail hour and reception and that makes us very happy! Our guests raved about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff also. Our experience was great the moment we signed our contract until the end. I would recommend to anyone!

Our guests still can not stop raving about our wedding! The food was amazing, the cocktail hour stations were a hit, and the ballroom at the Belle Voir Manor overlooking the Delaware River was a beautiful setting. Our coordinator was Patty Bitting and she was very professional and accommodating to our needs. We were actually very surprised at how affordable it was to have our wedding here!

I hosted a wedding at Belle Voir for my daughter on Sunday August 28th - the day after Hurricane Irene. Despite the fact that many of the staff couldn't get home the evening before and (from what I heard) one of the executive chefs lost his car in 10 feet of water under a nearby railroad bridge. EVERYONE WAS THERE TO PRODUCE A FABULOUS WEDDING FOR US. Not one complaint, not one excuse. The people here are the most kind, professional and easiest to get along with people imaginable. Patty worked with us throughout the entire process and seemed to only know the word "yes". The food was excellent - getting rave reviews from everyone. The staff was attentive and accommodating in every way and turned what could have been a disaster into a thing of beauty. Due to the weather there were so many doubts regarding whether the event would ever take place but the staff made sure it came off without a hitch. The venue is beautiful and well designed to host a wonderful party. The food was delicious and exceeded all of our expectations. I can recommend them without reservation. Thank you for making the day be so perfectly beautiful under such stressful conditions.

Our wedding at Belle Voir was amazing! We were so happy with everything - the gorgeous venue, the delicious food, and the high quality of service. Although we were a little wary to start because they were a little less responsive by email than other vendors when I was initially evaluating venues, we loved the venue after visiting. Later, when the event came close and I was working with Katrina I received quick responses and I was very confident that things would run smoothly on our wedding day. There were many pleasant surprises, like the willingness of John, the chef, to meet with me to design a fun vegetarian entree, to the high level of personal attention given to my (now) husband and me. Anything I would think to ask about on the day of the wedding (like for example if they would please wrap up the top layer of the cake) was already being taken care of.

The Belle Voir Manor was so beautiful and perfect for my wedding day! There was enough room for everyone to be there comfortably. The dance floor was just big enough. The food was delicious and I didn't have to worry about anything! The Champagne for the champagne toast was AWESOME!!!! I have had at least 30 people ask me what type of champagne it was! The ONLY reason they only received at 4 out of 5 for professionalism is because when I paid extra to start the wedding early, the other bride at Pen Ryn came early and her "people" came over and told me I had to leave the premises (the riverfront) and go over to my venue, even though I had paid to be there early for pictures. They should not have directed that towards me at all. Otherwise, fantastic and would recommend to anyone!

We had our wedding at pen ryn mansion in July 2011. The wedding was absolutely beautiful! We had the best time of our life. The food was delicious especially the mashed potato bar. When we booked the venue we went through 3 wedding planners and they were awful. Finally the week before our wedding we got a planner that helped us and made us feel a lot better about having our wedding here. There were only a couple of complaints I have about this place. The air conditioner in the bridal and groom suites was awful. Our wedding was on a 115 degree day. And the suites felt like 90 degrees. The other thing was the Maitre D was a little rude and was blocking the view of the garter toss and the garter put on and I missed the whole entire thing. Finally, we had some cards stolen from our holder during the cock tail hour because they keep in the reception room and some of my guests/ bridesmaids had their cards in there and they were gone. We contacted the venue and said they have cameras and never called us back so we finally called and they said they just installed them and aren't hooked up yet. That means they know it was their staff that took our wedding cards.

One example was the fact that I wanted ivory table cloths for the cocktail hour; she said it would be about $30/table because they had to order them. A week or so later I find out that they have a different type of ivory cloth available for no cost which she did not bother telling me. There were countless events like this so be weary when Patty tells you something costs more, and make sure you write down all your questions so you can ask other people about your options.

Patty was not there on my day though, Cindy was, and although she missed an appointment that we had, she was helpful and I was very happy to have her there on my big day. Mary was also great but was fired while I was still planning.

Overall, great wedding and I would recommend this location to others. If you want your venue to feel homey and cozy, if you want to watch your guests arriving from the bridal suite, if you want a building with history, Pen Ryn is the way to go. All I can suggest is BEWARE of Patty because she is not helpful and just cares about the money.

I had my wedding at Pen Ryn mansion in July 2010 and I would definitely recommend this venue to any couples searching for a venue.

The site is just gorgeous..from the long tree-lined driveway, the river view and the mansion is beautifully maintained. Our wedding was in the off-season and the cost was extremely affordable. We planned to have an outdoor ceremony, but it rained, so the staff quickly setup for the ceremony in the hall. I was very impressed with their efficiency in having everything setup on-time for the ceremony.

The cocktail hour was great. I still have guests saying how great the hors d'oeuvres tasted. The crab cake entree was really good. The chicken entree was just okay.

We had Mary as our co-ordinator. Although it took some time for a response to our emails, she was still great and had everything organized for us as we wanted. She was very helpful and gave great advice throughout the planning steps.

So overall, I would recommmend Pen Ryn. It's a beautiful location and the value for the cost was really great.

We had our reception at Belle Voir, and our experience was fantastic! The venue was gorgeous, and everything went off without a hitch. They clearly know what they're doing, and every little detail was accounted for. We had about 250 people in attendance, and everyone raved about their food. Most weddings that large usually end up with food that is less than delicious. Not here - everyone's food was cooked to perfection! The dance floor at Belle Voir is huge, so there was plenty of room for everyone, without feeling crowded. They were also more than accommodating with last minute changes to seating and helping us with some final decorative details - we asked them to set up luminaries lining their driveway, and they valet staff did it without question! It was a beautiful touch that they happily took care of for us. All in all, a great experience! My only 'complaint' is that when working with Patty, she is easier to reach by phone than email. It's not really a bad thing, just something that for me, who prefers email, had to get used to. All in all, we had our dream wedding, and I'm hoping than I can be a guest at one of their weddings some day soon!

I didn't pay for "extra" stuff and it turned out to be fabulous!! Everyone had a great time and they thought I paid "A LOT" of money for how everything turned out!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Pen Ryn Catering. They were easily one of the most accommodating in terms of vendors. We were married during the February snow storm, and called over to the mansion, half expecting our reception to be called off. Instead, we were told that, despite the 28 inches of snow, the mansion would be ready for our reception. As the roads were treacherous, the staff even went to the trouble of picking up employees from their home so that our reception would be properly staffed for the occasion. Not only was the food exceptional (we were told by many that it was the best of any wedding that they'd ever attended), but we felt that we were taken care of the entire evening. We cannot thank Mary Luongo or Patti enough for their tender care during one of the most adventurous of weddings!

I just want to say thank you to Patty for a wonderful event. It was a pleasure working with her and the staff at Pen Ryn. The food and service was exceptional and of course, the mansion is breathtaking. Thank you for making the day wonderful. Patty was even so gracious and helpful as we got their at 4:00 for pictures outside.

Thanks also for help with the seat cushions…the executive decision that was made was perfect. The florist enjoyed working with Patty also. He commented that the staff was a pleasure to work with and something you don’t always find in the industry.

Thanks so much for everything. I will recommend Pen Ryn over and over again. It was the best wedding I’ve ever been to!!!

They were neither friendly nor helpful from the moment we signed the contract. Don't waste your time or money there are PLENTY of much nicer venues in the area to host your wedding.

Pen Ryn did a great job with our wedding. We wanted an outdoor ceremony, which would have been gorgeous, but the weather didn't cooperate. They still made it look beautiful inside. We worked with two separate planners from Pen Ryn throughout the process, which made it a little confusing at times because they didn't always communicate our wants/needs to one another; in the end, however, it all came together. They also assigned a private server to my husband and I on our wedding day, which was really nice. They made sure we had water, appetizers, etc. even when we were running around getting our pictures taken. The planners we worked with were both very nice and helped us come up with some creative ideas. It was sometimes difficult to get up with them over the phone due to their hours, but they always did call back within a few days. Overall, I would highly recommend Pen Ryn, as it also came to me highly recommended by several other happy brides!

Would definitely recommend! We had our reception at Belle Voir and everything was amazing! Patty could not have been more helpful, the food was fantastic and the level of service was superb! My sister is getting married next fall at the mansion and I am so happy for her! (I have to say I was shocked to see the 9/19 review and asked about it before my sister signed a contract. Turns out they didn't even have their wedding at Pen Ryn!). I would have to say our only regret is that our ceremony was not there, with the beautiful grounds I can only imagine the ceremony pictures other brides have.

The venue is a lovely 200+ year old mansion on the Delaware River, with beautiful grounds. The service staff was very accomodating and professional. It did take a little while for the sales manager to respond to emails and phone calls, but she was very accomodating as well and did everything she could to make us happy, including throwing in lots of extras. A few minor things were left out or overlooked, but they were the kind of things that no one besides us (the bride and groom) knew about--no one else noticed. Additionally, Chef John was also very accomodating and stayed in touch with us about customizing our menu. We had a vegetarian wedding, and he spent a good deal of time with us sharing his ideas and creating an exciting but not "scary" menu for meat eaters at a vegetarian wedding.

There are too many good things to say about our experience with Pen Ryn. Patty Bitting was our coordinator, and she was the sweetest thing! I'm sure I asked her a million questions, and made custom alterations to the menu on several occasions, and Patty was always cheerful and accomodating. I highly recommend the sit down tasting to anyone that books. The Pen Ryn's food selection is to die for, and the portions were the largest I've ever seen at a wedding. Several guests told me they couldn't even touch the cake (which is indluded in the package, by the way) because they were so full from the meal. We had our wedding at the Belle Voir Manor (one of the two venues on the massive Pen Ryn grounds) and the atmosphere, the view, and the backdrop to all of our gorgeous pictures remain unparalleled by any of the other venues I've seen.

Our wedding at the Pen Ryn turned out wonderful. The food, drinks, and staff were great. Mary did a good job coordinating our event and helping out on the day of. Use of the bridal suite made getting ready easy and relaxing. The beautiful building and grounds made for memorable photos.

Pen Ryn staff was excellent, everything was better than I could of ever imagined and specifically Mary our event coordinator was amazing, we truly will never forget how wonderful she was, any detail from the smallest to the largest that could have turned into a disaster Mary either fixed beyond expectation or caused the disaster to be avoided! I could not have asked for anything more!

Our wedding at Pen Ryn was beautiful and everyone raved about the food and atmosphere. However, my husband and I had some frustration in the planning stages. We contacted Pen Ryn multiple times to set up our appointment to review details and never received calls back. We also never received a copy of the final bill and then when we got it at our rehearsal the day before the wedding, it was incorrect.
We also were told that our wedding would last until 11:00pm and then at 10:15 pm that evening the Maitre D' told us we were done at 10:30pm. The woman was a bit rude about it to my husband. We lost out on a half hour of our band because Pen Ryn shut them down.
We enjoyed our wedding at Pen Ryn but it was frustrating to deal with these things and we think they could have dealt with these things differently.

We had our reception at the Belle Voir. It was absolutely gorgeous!! Patti was a pleasure to work with and even helped my mom pull off a surprise for us. She wanted to have sparklers for our introduction to the ballroom, it was amazing!! The food was great, our guests raved about the mashed potato bar and the martini cheesecake bar for dessert. We couldn't have asked for more!

We had our wedding at the Belle Voir Manor and it was amazing! The staff was wonderful from our first meeting. We enjoyed the whole planning process because the staff is so professional and accomodating!

We had our reception at Belle Voir, and I couldn't have been happier. Everything was beautiful, and Patty was great to work with. Although she was sometimes a little difficult to get a hold of earlier in the planning process (the Pen Ryn email system is not the greatest), she really was a huge help overall in answering all my questions and making sure our reception went smoothly. She went above and beyond, and helped us to get so much for our money. The cocktail spread alone was amazing, but all the food was delicious! The waitstaff, bartenders and valets were friendly and professional. Highly Recommend!

We had our reception at Belle Voir, and we couldn't have been more pleased. During the planning process there were times when my coordinator wasn't the most responsive, however once the weeks before my wedding approached, I had absolutely no issues. Every little detail was executed as I had asked, and the catering was fantastic. Our guests are still raving about the cocktail hour and dessert spreads, and the venue and setting itself is just so beautiful. The staff, from my coordinator to the waitstaff were incredibley courteous, friendly and helpful, and this truly allowed me to relax and enjoy our big day. We feel that we got so much for our money at Belle Voir, and I honestly couldn't have found a better venue!

We had our wedding at Belle Voir, which is on the same property. Everything was FANTASTIC. People raved about the food and service. After searching over 20 places in the Philadelphia area, we fell in love with the long driveway through the woods and the river background. This venue will NOT disappoint.

Our wedding was in June and I cannot begin to describe how pleased we were with Pen Ryn's services. Our wedding was at Belle Voir and everything was beautiful and perfect! The staff was amazing and accommodating (they even let us stay past our scheduled time to finish our pictures) and incredibly attentive the food was incredible and there was absolutely no details left to worry about by the morning of the wedding...

My only tiny bit of criticism would mirror a lot of my fellow reviewers, in that it was occasionally difficult to get in touch with someone, but all in all, I was very pleased with everything1

We had our wedding at the Pen Ryn Mansion, and it was simply amazing. Everything is included, which makes things really easy. Plus, this is a little thing, but you don't have to choose your appetizers; rather, they're chef's choice (although you can request things you definitely want), and you get an assortment of about 25 different kinds, something which NO other vendor we checked out offered. Also, dessert table (including chocolate fountain) is included, which is a huge hit with guests :) Our event planner was amazing and professional throughout; no request was too small, and they accomodated us on everything we asked for. For example, we had our ceremony there, and at the top of the aisle we were married under this small trellis, which our florist decorated. While they typically dismantle this after the ceremony, we asked them to move it over the cake during the reception (since it was decorated!), and they had no qualms about doing so, even though it was probably a pain in the butt. Really, there was not one thing I can think about to complain about them. And if you can get them off-season or on a Sunday (e.g., holiday weekend, which is what we did), then there is simply nothing that can beat their value.

Pen Ryn was the best. It is on the banks of the Deleware and the veiw is spectacular. The Mansion is breathtaking. Patty was wonderful and catered to every need that we had, she was always prompt in responding to our needs and made sure that everything was top notch. the food was outstanding and our guests could not believe all the food that was served, no one left hungry. I would use Pen Ryn again in a heartbeat. Loved them!!

Belle Voir was very accomodating to everything we wanted to do from what to play for the cocktail hour (they got us a Beatles CD for their player piano) to letting us come early on the day of the wedding to take pictures. Our wedding coordinator was extremely nice and helpful. The e-mail system there wasn't great - sometimes Patty would not get my e-mails so I would always follow up with a call. On the wedding night for our reception, there were a few minor things that they didn't do, like they put a few tables in the wrong order and didn't have any servers for the cake after it was cut (they got something right away after I said something), but these were very minor and we were very satified with their service. The location is BEAUTIFUL!

Mary Luongo was the best. The food and service were all I could have ever asked for. My guests were really impressed with the venue. We had an 11:30 AM wedding with the reception from 12-5PM. I understand they no longer do double weddings - meaning they only have one wedding a day. When I got married, they did two weddings on Saturday, either 12-5 or 7-12... I think it's great that they no longer have to be set times.

They were very helpful and extremely professional. The mansion is beautiful!

The Pen Ryn was a beautiful place to have a wedding. I choose a winter wedding, and the staff was very flexible with me in choosing the decorations. They go above and beyond for you. If I could do it all over again - I would choose them again without reservation.

My husband and I were actually married 10 years ago at Pen Ryn Mansion. My husband actually went to school here in the 1970's. We loved the ballroom and the surroundings were beautiful. I still look at my pictures and am amazed at how perfect our wedding day was.

Pen Ryn and Belle Voir are beautiful venues. We have shot many weddings at both venues, and without exception, both from our experience and the comments from brides, is that from the food, the grounds, the buildings and every other aspect, Pen Ryn is a fantastic place to have a wedding.
