Melissa at Belltown Bride is amazing! The store is by appointment only, so you are the focus throughout your whole appointment. Melissa listens to what you are looking for and is extremely respectful of your budget. I also felt like I had known her forever! This was the second place I went (after going to one of those giant stores) and I can't believe the difference in my experience. I am recommending everyone check out Belltown Bride.

Melissa gets sample dresses from designers in New York. Most are around a 4-6 in size and you buy it off the rack. The dresses are cleaned before they come in and before you pick it up to take it home. I claimed a beautiful lace Watters dress for my August 2010 wedding and I couldn't be happier. :)

I had such a great experience at Belltown Bride!! Melissa is absolutely fantastic! She is so knowledgeable and friendly. She picked out the dress that I ended up wearing, and it was beautiful! Her staff is also so so friendly. It was a great, no stress, shopping environment. When you walk into the shop, it feels like you are talking to friends. They are all so great. I highly recommend this shop!

I found the perfect dress at Belltown Bride! I called to make an appointment, came in with my best friend, and Melissa helped to pick out some dressed for me to try on. She has some amazing dresses (and deals!), but it is definitely hit or miss. I feel lucky that I found one that was exactly what I was looking for, but I can see how you may go and not see anything. But, it made it even more satisfying to feel like I had found a real treasure. I looked up the designer later and learned that I paid about half of what it would have been priced at a bridal boutique!!

Shopping at Belltown Bride was the most fun I had in the entire process of wedding-planning. The owner, Melissa, is full of energy and positive encouragement and it was such a pleasure to work with her to find my perfect dress! I ended up purchasing a Marisa dress for $1050 that was beautiful and silk. I used her bridal alteration suggestion and had it made even more beautifully. I urge all Seattle brides (especially those sized 10 and under) to try Belltown Bride before committing to a more expensive dress somewhere else!

Melissa was awesome! After a disappointing visit to another bridal salon in town, I was not too excited about continuing the wedding dress search. As soon as I met Melissa, I knew that I wanted to buy a dress from her. She is honest about what looks good on you and what doesn't and there is no pressure. At my first appointment I only got to try on a few dresses (i didn't even get to try on the ones I picked out!) so I was pleased that Melissa let me try on whatever I wanted and some that she thought would be flattering. I found the perfect dress with her help and she also recommended a WONDERFUL seamstress for my alterations.

Melissa, at Belltown Bride, not only helped me find the most perfect dress for my wedding, but she also helped me stay within my budget too! My friend wanted to try dresses on at the same time, and Melissa was so accommodating to let us try them on together! I recommend this store to all brides, budgets large and small. This store has something for everyone. It's really a treat!

Melissa at Belltown Bride was wonderful to work with, she was quick to respond to my email inquiries and get an appointment set up. I really liked that she provides 1-on-1 service in her boutique. It was just her, me and my mom, so her attention was all focused on me and she helped us feel comfortable and free to take my time to find the perfect dress. I never felt rushed to make a decision or make time for her next appointment. She knew what style of dress would work best with my body type and helped me try out dresses I normally wouldn't have chosen. The dress selection is much smaller than at other stores, but none of the dresses are the same, so you know you're getting a very unique dress when you choose Belltown Bride. I ended up getting a gorgeous Amsale dress for 75% off the retail price, and it only needed some minor adjustments from a seamstress whom Melissa suggested. I would never go to one of those big bridal stores after having the wonderful experience working with Belltown Bride.

My experience with Melissa at Belltown Bride was beyond wonderful. She worked within my budget to help me find an amazing dress, one that I could never have afforded had it been at a traditional boutique. She finds amazing designer gowns, and is able to sell them at a fraction of the price. Everyone wants a special experience when purchasing their wedding dress, and Melissa provides that. All appointments are one-on-one, so you have the entire store to yourself, and she is committed to finding a dress that is fits both your body and personality. Everyone should look here before they purchase a dress elsewhere!

Belltown Bride was by far one of my favorite bridal salon experiences (and I shopped all the “well known” bridal shops in town). Melissa is friendly, informative and understands a bride should not have to spend a fortune to be able to afford a silk wedding dress rather than an over-priced polyester number available at other bridal shops. I found a stunning and truly unique dress for my wedding at Belltown, and I now tell every other bride-to-be where I bought my dress! The shop is gorgeous, full of ambience and charm – exactly what a bride envisions after all the wedding movies and magazines we consume before the big day!

My dress was so high end for the price. I wanted a dress around $1500 or below and I found a strapless satin dress with hand sewn lace here! It was beautiful, classic and the alterationist she recommended was terrific!

Melissa was fabulous to work with. She was sweet and attentive and easy to talk to; she did not make me feel pressured in any way and had a keen sense of my wants and desires without me having to tell her. Her shop was easy to find and very quaint; I liked having personal appointments without any other brides in the shop because it made me feel unique and special. I tried on dresses at a few other places but once I experienced Belltown bride I knew I wanted to purchase my dress from Melissa.

This place is a find! I LOVE my dress and knew it was the one as soon as I tried it on. It's great to have a private appointment in order to go through lots of dresses - and super helpful that Belltown Bride can send your dress directly to a seamstress (who is also fantastic!). It's a wonderful setup, extremely friendly service, and gorgeous dresses at a good price.
