Ben Sherman Classical Guitar

My daughter's wedding was held at The Cloisters in Lutherville a few weeks ago, and guitarist Ben Sherman was fantastic. He provided pre-ceremony music, and of course the music for the wedding itself. Plus an extra hour for the cocktail hour. All the guests loved the lyrical background music which was unobtrusive but hauntingly beautiful. He even learned a special song--a theme from one of the Harry Potter movies--for use during the service. Definitely recommend Ben for your special day!

Ben Sherman did a perfect job at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We didn't actually get to meet Ben until the wedding (and then only very briefly, what a busy day!) but that was not an issue at all. Ben is extremely responsive via email which is always a good sign. I gave him the specific songs we wanted for our ceremony and he even learned a new one for us! He played music of his own choosing during the cocktail hour, and from what we could hear while we were taking photos it was all beautiful. Ben knows his stuff - he was able to bring an amp and microphone for our outdoor ceremony so that everyone could hear both the guitar music and us - really important because we wrote our own vows and the guests would have been a little lost without being able to hear. Ben is very talented and I highly recommend him if you are thinking of having live ceremony music.

Ben's music was probably one of my favorite little touches that we added for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I asked him to learn a special song for my dad and I to walk down the aisle to. He nailed it and was very happy to accommodate me. He responded to requests quickly, was very affordable and changed up his plan quickly when we had to move the wedding indoors at the last minute. Ben is very talented and added something special and unique to our wedding day. I would absolutely recommend him!

Ben provided the ceremony music for my daughter's wedding. His music is absolutely beautiful and we got many comments on how lovely it was. He was wonderful to work with and came early to practice a solo with my neice. Ben is a true professional and I would recommend his services.

Ben is an incredibly talented musician who put a unique touch on my wedding. I had no idea acoustic guitar could be so wonderful - Ben has made me a believer! His mastery of classical and contemporary music on the guitar also left a lasting impression on my guests! Ben was wonderful and easy to work with! He promptly responded to my initial inquiries about his availability and sent additional links to his repertoire. Ben was very helpful in suggesting songs for various parts of the ceremony and gave me honest feedback on some of my ideas. Together, we came up with a sentimental and memorable song list that fit my vision for my ceremony perfectly. On the day of the wedding, Ben set up efficiently and on time--I didn't have to worry about a thing! I am so happy we found Ben Sherman to play for our wedding! He responded to my inquiry right away and was very easy to book. In addition, he sent us a very detailed questionnaire that helped us figure out just what music we wanted and when. Ben Sherman was happy to accommodate both traditional and more non-traditional requests (he was able to accommodate our request for a Hall and Oates recessional by arranging it himself!) We decided somewhat later to ask him to also play for our cocktail hour and were very happy we did. The guests loved it and it created a great mood for the event! Ben was very easy to work with and professional. We had an outdoor ceremony and his set up was seamless.He required only the minimal of input from us. His performance was excellent with perfect timing and volume.

Ben has a nice selection of music and the ability to perform it so that he can accommodate the wishes of the bride. Ben was able to take a piece of music written for a piano and perform it with a guitar so my matron of honor could sing the song.

Ben is an amazing and very professional musician. He was one of the first "vendors" on our wedding site that day and even allowed our officiant to run a mike through his guitar amp. His playing is impeccable and set the perfect mood for our vineyard wedding! The ceremony music was perfect! my only regret is that i didn't get too much chance to hear him play during our cocktail hour. I was the groom and obviously very busy! In searching for someone to play classical guitar for our ceremony, we contacted several musicians. Ben Sherman was by far the best. He is an accomplished guitarist in several genres of music, which clearly contributes to his abilities as a classical guitarist with a broad repertoire. His interpretations are as crisp as they are rich. Moreover, Ben is a professional. He returns calls and emails promptly, and he is reliable. When planning a wedding, you want to hire vendors you can trust -- people who deliver as expected. Ben Sherman is one of those people.

Ben was a last-minute, but fantastic decision for us! We had other plans for ceremony music and decided to look for something else just a few weeks before the wedding. Ben was exactly what we were looking for, as he was happy to play non-traditional ceremony music (we opted for all Beatles songs for the ceremony and a similar style for the time before the ceremony began) and was more than willing to send along demos for us to hear so that we could make sure that his style was what we were interested in. In general, he was extremely flexible, very accommodating, and extraordinarily talented. From what we heard, he played beautifully and added that extra something that we were looking for in our ceremony. We highly recommend Ben (especially if you are looking for non-traditional ceremony music).

Ben was fantastic! I had to make arrangements with Ben over email because I live in NY and the wedding was in Maryland, and he always responded quickly and I never had to worry about him showing up on the wedding day. Ben learned a number of songs that I specifically requested for the ceremony and they were absolutely perfect. Everyone complimented how great his guitar went with our eastern shore wedding. The music Ben provided for our wedding ceremony was beautiful. Throughout the planning process, he was very helpful in making suggestions and giving advice about song choices. Everything went very smoothly during the ceremony, and we received many compliments about how lovely the music was.

My husband and I wanted someone that was a local favorite and Ben Sherman sure fit the bill! Luckily Ben was available on our date Feb 13. 10 and was super accommodating. We asked that he learn 2 specific songs that were special to us and he did flawlessly. He was flexible with his time (my husband and my father needed to rehearse their songs) and was very professional. We recommend Ben to anyone, he adds such a personal touch and is very experienced!

Ben was great! I wish that I had been able to hear more of him, but they kept me sequestered before walking down the aisle, and by the time I was able to actually hear him (we had a small venue, so no speakers or amps were used), I was so giddy that I couldn't perceive anything but my husband. Everyone else that was able to hear him, though, said he was wonderful! He learned all the songs I requested, and played it perfectly. He created just the mood that I wanted.

Ben was just amazing to work with and once we heard him in Carroll County playing a free concert of classical music we knew immediately we made the right decision. He was professional as well as responsive. His quality of service, music and all around friendliness was nothing short of top notch. He played for our wedding (approx. 50 people) ceremony as well as our reception. It was about 110 degrees outside which is where everything was held - You never would have thought as he was just wonderful. We also had a big party for our friends in October in which Ben also played (along with Elana) there were about 120 people there it was raining so hard as well as 40 mph winds and again nothing bothered him. He is one class act and a new friend for my husband and I that we think very highly of.

It was no surprize for my wife Liz and I in receiving so many great compliments on Ben's performance for our ceremony. I had seen him playing previously at another venue and knew we would be very fortunate in having him for our service. It was clear to see that he had far exceeded the expectations we both had and was truly a big hit in conversation amongst family and guest.

Ben is a very talented guitarist with a repertoire of songs ranging from Bach to Rascal Flatts. He played the music for our entire wedding ceremony as well as several sets during our reception. I am a music teacher in a public school system and can knowledgably say that he knows his stuff. He was always professional, friendly, and accomodating as well. We were so comfortable with him as a person, not just as an incredible musician, that we included him as a guest at our reception dinner!

First, let me start by saying that Ben is an amazing musician. My wife and I hired him to perform during our ceremony as well as during the cocktail hour after the ceremony. We received so many compliments from our guests who were extremely impressed by Ben's playing. With so many other hectic wedding arrangements that needed attention, it was a pleasure to work with a professional of Ben's quality. I would highly recommend Ben to anyone who needs an experienced musician for your wedding.

I can highly recommend Ben Sherman. He played guitar for my outdoor garden wedding ceremony in Aug. '05 at the Carroll County Farm Museum. He was very helpful in helping us choose the music, sent a great sample CD out immediately, and very accommodating for our special requests. People commented afterwards how much they liked the music, and how cool it was to hear some soft and romantically done "Zeppelin" added to the mix along with our classical choices. Ben was easy to deal with and delivers absolutely beautiful music.

Ben is an exceedingly dynamic guitarist. Having watched him perform for years, I knew we had to have him play the prelude and ceremony for our wedding. Ben provided us with a disc and list to pick our song choices from and even played a special song that I requested just prior to the processional. Ben was easy to book, responsive to all of our questions and of course prompt for the ceremony. Many of our guests complimented us (and Ben) for the choice to use classical guitar for the wedding as a very "classy" variation. Ben made that possible.
