Bernardo's Restaurant & Banquet Facility

Bernardo's was great for our small, under 100 guests, wedding. The only thing that did not make us 100% happy was that our menu was not exactly what we had ordered. My guest's didn't mind, or know what the change was(vegtable and salad, for the bride and groom) but when the bride didn't eat half her meal beacuse it was not what it was going to be that dosen't seem good.

Our wedding was in September and it was truly a night for us to remember. We wanted something different, so we did a cocktail reception wedding. Bob took care of ALL the details, and there was so much wonderful food, chicken w/raspberry sauce, shrimp, brushetta, you name it and it was being passed around by his wonderfully trained professional staff. Our guests showed up earlier than we planned and he graciously opened the bar. We were married on-site and I couldn't have asked for a more romantic setting. The room, the lights, flowers, everything was wonderful, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bernardos to any of my closest friends and family and dealing with Bob is just a bonus. He has a love of food and entertaining that comes through in everything he does, and he has a way of making all of your guests relaxed, happy and extremely well fed. What a great night we had, something that we just keep talking and reliving -- hey Bob can we come back on our 10th and do it over again??

We planned our wedding in 3 1/2 weeks! Really!!! Bob was amazing to work with. He took the stress out of planning and set up ALL of the details. We pretty much left most things in his hands. We found him professional, very fair and honest. Our wedding was perfect and intimate. We received so much feedback on the delicious meal they served, especially on the Prime Rib. He, also, has a network of vendors that were reputable and professional. I would certainly recommend him and his venue.

Not only is Bernardo's our favorite restaurant on date night they did our wedding this year. Bob allowed us to peak into the Candalara room prior to a wedding. The room was sooo beautiful, the colors that were chosen with the beautiful mahogany beams and the windows & fireplace took my breath away. I looked at my fiance and said this is the place. Our wedding was just the best. Bob told us after we went over the details to just show up and was he right. We had a beautiful cheese display, passed appetizers, (got to try the scallops in raspberry sauce) a nice fresh salad and the best stuffed chicken dish we had ever tasted.(chicken braciolattini). The food and attentive service was incredible and we had plenty of time to get exhausted.Everything was perfect! Our guests are still talking about our wedding, not a complaint. Bob sugessted a small wine table during dinner what a hit, the man really cares about his brides and grooms, it's easy to see that once you meet him and Bob is a Great Chef. All the food was hot something we haven't experienced going to other weddings and a concern of our. Oh the recommendation on the photographer (starlight studio's) the DJ, Arthur Calabro and his florist, the Gingerbread house for the cake were just the best. He certainily has an eye for talent as they help make our day the one I had always wished for. I will recommend Bernardo's as I have already have to everyone, this is a real find!!

Not happy. On the day of my wedding many things went wrong. Bernardo's started my 1 hr open bar BEFORE my wedding ceremony began to alieviate people to going to their bar. If fact, I just found out that people were actually turned away from the the restaurant bar after they were asked if they were wedding guest. Secondly, the coordinator, who was not present at any of the prior meetings, knew nothing about the day of events. Did not know the line up, did not know that there was three toasts, was not aware that their was a separate seat for the last living parent & did not know any of the vendors contact information. They failed to give away the centerpieces and they did not do the bouquet toss. This is a nice place for dinner (high compliments of food). I think Bernardo's should just consentrate on functoions or restaurant. I do not think that the 18% adminstration & gratuity justified the service that was provided.

Well we did it, we finally decided to marry after 8 years and our lives completely together. being well established we wanted a elegant yet comfortable wedding reception without all the bells and whistles associated with a full blown wedding. We heard about Bernardo's Restaurant on another wedding site and contacted the Facility. We were giving lots of details over the phone and then asked to book an appointment, which we did. We met Bob and sat down to a nice informal conversation about what we were looking for. Bingo, Bob had lots of ideas, allowed us to fully explain our family situation and came back with a few recommendations. We decided on a elegant sit down meal, passed appetizers and a dessert station, We did this all on the first appointment. Again we really didn't want all the traditional wedding stuff so Bob helped us rearrange our entire day. The Room, food, staff and personal accents put into our reception were heart felt as Bernardo's just kind of knew what we wanted and did it. We have since become semi regular customers in this fine affordable restaurant, they have it all together and it really shows. We couldn't have asked for a finer more thoughtful day. We are recommending Bernardo's to everyone, finally a perfect ending to a long quest.

We had it all, my cinderalla wedding, great weather, perfect ceremony, personable photographer that had us laughing all day and prompt. When we all piled into the Limo on our way to Bernardo's we just knew that the party was just beginning and boy were we right. Just perfect, my dresses matched the napkins and room colors, the fresh flowers, the neatly arranged tables and their elegant settings. We were greated by kelly our wedding coordinator at the gaezbo for pictures and everything just flowed, no rush just perfect. Bob and his staff were as promised, professional and polite. The food, oh the food , we're still talking about it, again as promised. Arthur Calabro was our DJ, recommended by Bernardo's, was he ever the entertainer and master of Ceremonies. My husband felt like he just won the World Series, just perfect. Bernardo's comes highly recommended from all of us. We need to do another party at Bernardo's.

We booked our wedding being out of state over the phone. Seemless attention to details, tremendous professionalism. amazing food & service, stressless, Bernardo's your the best.

Fantastic is what we can say about Bernardo's. Right from the first visit we were super impressed. We booked a package wedding and Bernardo's chosen vendors were also fantastic. Everything was just as promised and the timing of our wedding was so professional, plenty of time to dance, talk, relax and of course eat all the delicious food that we had. Bernardo's boast about their cuisine and non intrusive service, our guests were so impressed as were we. Couldn't have asked for a thing, just perfect. When I finally made up my mind and booked our wedding at Bernardo's I realized i made the right decision. every detail from our first meeting was over the top. Owner and chef Bob Cioffi put our mind at ease. We had a stressless engagement as Bob and his chosen vendors did just what they said they would do. Very professional, no ego and just the best day of our lives. The room was cozy and beautiful, our coordinator was just the best, the food and service was incredible as promised and our DJ, Arthur Calabro was the best. We had the time of our lives, thank you, thank you, I will recommend Bernardo;s for the rest of my life and become a patron at the restaurant as the food and presentation for the value is unsurpassed. You have to experience Bernardo's to really be with family!!!

Very professional, organized, friendly and great food. When we chose Bernardo's we had already had a reception venue. We decided to change after we attended a wedding there. It was fate that we changed our venue and had the perfect reception. We highly recommend Bernardo's to everyone. I'm still getting goose bumps from all the great attention and service that was bestowed on us.

We are an older couple that found eachother and decided to go for marriage one more time. We met at Bernardo's Restaurant in Hanson where we had a great meal in their dining room. We were having such a great conversation we didn't even realize that there was a function going on in their function room. The food & service along with the great company made this night magical for both of us. The hostess Candi (didn't realize she was the owner) told us all about the facility when we asked for information about their weddings. She was so informative and caring. She gave us some literature and then introduced us to her husband Bob (who is the chef also) and he sat us down in the lounge and listened to us go on about how we met etc. he then went over what they do at Bernardo's and really got us excited. We booked the room a week later and couldn't have been more pleased. Every wish and detail was done and the best part of it all was that they allowed us to be ourselves and as Bob put it every function has it's own personality and we want that to come out, well did it ever!. Everyone is still talking about it. Just one more thing about the food, this is not banquet food, it's reasonability priced, presented artistically and if you can believe this , it's tastes better than it looks and it looked grand. From beginning to end our wedding reception was more than we expected. Thank you Candi & Bob, your recommendations of support vendors was teriffic and your fine facility will be highly recommended. See you for dinner and our anniversaries or whatever reason we can think of going to Bernardo's.

It's with great honor that I get a chance to brag about our wedding at Bernardo's Restaurant. Just happened to walk in unannounced during the day and a gentleman came out of the kitchen dressed in his chef clothes and introduced himself to me. I explained i didn't have a appointment and he asked me to wait a moment and came back out to take me on a tour of his fine facility. Bob was so in the moment with me as he explained every detail in just a few minutes. we sat down went over all the details, answered all my questions and decided that I should get down here for dinner with my fiance right away and show him the beautiful room, I was so excited when I left. We came for dinner that night, The food was amazing and so affordable,my excitment was very noticable as I was constantly looking around and having a wonderful time. We made an appointment later in the week and planned our wedding at Bernardo's. Just like he said, attention to detail, personal feel, just us for the day, our day, just perfect, all my guests were so pleased and my mom was just gleaming. If your looking for a personalized wedding, Great food and service, this is the place. with great pride I recommend Bernardo's for any event or just dinner, supurb!

We opted to get married in the islands and then decided to have a reception a month later feeling guilty about not being able to share our wedding day with family and friends. My girlfriend told me about Bernardo's Restaurant in Hanson, a bit of a drive from Dedham, Ma. I e-mailed the restaurant and the owner Bob got right back to me and asked me exactly what we both had in mind. We told him we wanted a big party without the big prices associated with the wedding. Bob had lots of suggestions and we decided on a cocktail theme party. It was perfect, we had so much fun planning and playing at our party. The room was cozy and each table were placed to induce a party atmosphere. Our family and friends sipped cocktails, tasted some incredible finger foods & desserts not to much ,just enough as the music filled the room. What a great feeling and mood my aunt commented to me, how did you find this place? this is wonderful. Well we had a great time, plenty of pictures to remember by and just the right place with the right people who really cared about our day. Bob and your courtious staff our hats are off to you, we will recommend Bernardo's, you were right , you told us to just show up and leave the rest to Bernardo's and we did!!! Super Job!!!

What can we say. We attended a wedding at Bernardo's in June of 2008 and decided that's where we were going to have our reception. As guests we were so impressed with the beautiful room, settings, appetizers, food, politeness of the service staff, just everything. We spoke to the owner before the reception was over and booked a appointment the next week. Our reception was just perfect from beginning to the final circle.Just as Bob said your day is special and we treat all functions and weddings special because they are! We felt very special, we were definately in the limelight, it was our day and thank you Bernardo's for a unforgettable reception. Our praises go out to you, it's a honor to write about our reception because in our eyes your special too.

My husband and I renewed our wedding vows in February 2009. We have been married since 2002 and I am not one to coordinate the details for an event like this, hence the reason we originally did not have a wedding. We chose Bernardo's becuase we have dinner their often and the food is superb! We wanted a warm and intimate evening with our closest friends and family. Bob delivered that and much more for us. It was PERFECT and our guests are still talking about it almost a year later. We had 75 people present and Bob gave us all the resources we needed and took complete control over the wedding planning details to create the most elegant evening. I dropped off all my candles and rose petals the day before and Bob's staff took care of the presentation. It was beautiful and everything I wanted...NO STRESS! I would recommend Bernardo's to anyone who is looking to host a stress free event. Bob will go above and beyond to meet your expectations!

We have been customers of Bernardo's restaurant way back when it was Cataldi's Restaurant.( the same owners as Bernardo's restaurant) After Bob & Candi Cioffi built the function room and started doing weddings we always said this is where our daughter Laurie was going to have her reception. The dream came through this year prior to valentines day as we had a valentines theme for Laurie. Laurie grew up eating dinner at Cataldi's and had her first date there also, just a storybook beginning. When she went to go over the details of the wedding she came home so excited it brought a smile to our faces. As promised Candi & Bob made incredible recommendations and let Laurie plan her theme and menu. Being so comfortable with bernardo's the choices for laurie were simple. She booked a package plan wedding, Starlight Studio's of Easton for photography, Arthur Calabro DJ services and his chosen vendors. They did all the work, I really had nothing to do and my day was simply perfect. This Restaurant & Banquet Facility is totally great. I will continue to eat at the Restaurant as I always have and recommend to all my family and friends Bernardo's. I know now why the function room is always busy. When my fiance and I decided on a winter wedding we had a list of specifics that we hoped we could get for our special day. We researched and scheduled multiple appointments to tour and talk to different venues. We really wanted a fireplace for that warm and cozy feeling. After multiple appointments we happened to drive by Bernardo's Restaurant in Hanson and decided to have some dinner. We did not know they had a function room whereas we are not from the general area.The restaurant was rather busy as the hostess politely took us to our table. Our server overheard us comparing the facilities we had looked at and told us about their function room. She proceded to tell us about the fireplace ( our ears perked up) and said we could look at it after dinner if we wished. We had an incredible dinner, very affordable and were anxious to get a peak of the room. The room was pre set for a wedding the next day and as we entered into the room the owner Bob came out to great us. He took the time to listen to our story as we looked at eachother. I tell you this because no one else that day gave us that much attention and effort. We went through the package plans and the extensive menu choices and booked Bernardo's within a week. We found our New england setting for our winter wedding. Bob was great, caring, understanding and full of ideas. Our wedding was picture perfect, with the fire going, the beautiful candle lit centerpieces and just the warmth, we had it all at Bernardo's. The professionalism of this fine facility really stands out, we still are getting compliments almost a year later. Bernardo's will always be our special moment in time, so glad we stumbled upon it, we highly recommend Bernardo's to everyone. Our thanks for a fairy tale come true.

WE both grew up in the South Shore of massachusetts, moved away and moved back in 2008. We decided to finally get married, just wanted a cozy setting with a little touch of elegance. We went back to one of our favorite restaurants (was Cataldi's Restaurant) for dinner and a peak at their function room. Our dinner was supurb and very reasonable, the atmosphere was cozy and the function room was just perfect for our size wedding. We got married under the Mahogany Arbor, the food, staff and service was perfect, couldn't have asked for anything more, still bragging about our affordable wedding with all the nice little touches that Bernardo's had to offer. The owners Candi & Bob Cioffi really care and it showed. Our praises go out to anyone who wants a perfect wedding or dinner. p.s. The date's we wanted were already booked but we were so impressed with Bernardo's that we changed our date.

Not only is Bob Cioffi the owner, he is the chef! Excellent food! He knows how to take care of his clients, by being very caring and understanding. He takes a very personal approach to your wedding and is there from start to finish. It's always been a pleasure to do functions there. His wedding staff is the best...very nice and personable! The room is quite comfortable and cozy! Perfect size dance floor too.

Not only do I do functions there, but my family and I eat there quite often. Great staff! Great people! Check them out for sure.
