Angela did an amazing job DJing our wedding reception. She kept us on schedule getting the toasts and special dances done without rushing or pressuring us. She played everything we wanted to hear and knew how to get and keep people dancing. The shoe game was a big hit with the guests! She kept the party going until they kicked us out. I highly recommend BerryGood Light and Sound! Thank you Angela for making our wedding so fun and worry-free!

Alan and Angela were amazing to work with. They were more than DJs. They helped facilitate the event which made it stress free and easy for us to just have fun and enjoy. They take pride in their work and work to reach 100% satisfaction.

Alan did a great job of reading what our guests were looking for as far as music. They all had a blast at dancing. All ages were on the dance floor.

WOW! Angela was the best DJ! I was mainly impressed by the work she does before the wedding. She helped me find my hair lady......at last minute requested by me she put together a photo montage and it was amazing. Everyone loved it at the wedding. Theres so much I want to say in this paragraph. She made our wedding the best! She was attentive and flexable. I would of paid double to have her! Fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about Alan and Angela! They aren't the cheapest, but are well worth the little bit extra. They are attentive, fun, and truly want your wedding to be great.

From the start, we knew they were the right choice. Our DJ for the event was Alan, and he went above and beyond just playing music. He was always checking with us to make sure everything was going how we wanted it to. He picked great music, and also incorporated everything that we wanted. Our group wasn't big in to dancing, but everyone was happy with the great music while socializing, eating, and occasionally dancing :)

Angela was wonderful to work with for planning my daughters wedding. She made us feel relaxed and made sure we knew she had it under controll. She also did our Photo Montage and made that so special. Everything was so easy working with Angela and personal. She got to know my daughter and husbands likes, style and when she was not sure for a song, Angela always had the perfect fit.

Angela performed the dj services for our wedding, and she was fantastic. We opted for a music/karaoke mix, and our guests had so much fun. She played a good mix of both karaoke and music, but when the karaoke queu got a little long, she checked with me to see if I wanted to have more karaoke, which I totally appreciated. She coordinated with our photographer to make sure that we would get in all of the good photo ops (first dances, bouquet toss, etc.) before our photographer had to leave. She was very professional. not cheesy or over the top. She played good music and didn't try to be the center of attention. She was fantastic. I highly recommend.

We chose BerryGood Light and Sound based on an outstanding recommendation from a coworker. We dealt with Angela via email during much of the planning process, and she was always incredibly prompt and helpful when responding to our emails! Alan was the DJ for our reception, and he met with us at the venue on more than one occasion to ensure that his set up and lights would be to our liking! He was incredibly helpful at the reception! He carried our plates back to the head table for us after we went through the buffet line, and he made sure we always had something to drink! He kept the recetpion running smoothly! We played the Shoe Game, which we highly recommend! Everyone I have talked to about it thought it was an amazing and fun addition to the reception! Alan played songs from our do play list, and took requests from our guests! He knew just what to play to keep people on the dance floor! We had a blast at the reception, and this is largely due to our outstanding DJ!

BerryGood Light and Sound made everything come together. They had everyone laughing, crying and dancing! It was perfect. The music was always at a perfect level where you can talk or dance. They didn't skip a beat. The lighting was also very beautiful. They played music that any age would like. My grandparent loved them and so did my younger cousins. Thank you again Alan and Angela.

Angela contacted me early on to see what our DJ needs were. She is extremely personable and I could tell she would do a great job. The price was very reasonable, too. At that time, she gave us a sheet of paper so we could start thinking about our song selections for various parts of the reception. She contacted me about a month before the wedding to schedule a final meeting to talk about the details. (This was very nice because I had a hard time getting ahold of some vendors right before the wedding- which is quite stressful!) We opted to do the photo slideshow- which was very nicely put together. I probably emailed her 20 times adding photos, changing songs, etc. She was so pleasant during all correspondence. It really made me feel at ease. At the reception, she was so helpful and she and the wedding coordinator (Amber at lone summit ranch) worked together well to make the night go smoothly. Angela got us drinks from the bar, ensured we got to eat our dinners and even helped bustle my dress! The night went so smoothly and I feel like Angela played a big role in that.

Angela and Alan were AMAZING!!! There service was the best thing i spent my money on. I would recommend them to everyone! I had many friends ask me if they were related to me because of how out going and helpful they were to every single person at my wedding. I dont have a single thing bad to say about these wonderful people! They made my wedding day so much easier and stress free! 100 percent satisfied.

Alan and Angela were an absolute delight to work with. Both very fun, sweet and cool yet ALWAYS very professional. This is not just a DJ providing good music this is a DJ, ceremony/reception event planner, light and sound guru, and photo montage creator. They were always quick to answer any question, any email, and every text. They are very helpful, flexible, and very accommodating. Alan and Angela provided DJ and lighting services for our wedding on 2/2/13. I have nothing but positive things to say! They were professional and kind throughout the entire process and always promptly responded to our questions or concerns. Everyone had a fantastic time at our reception and the lighting and photo montage looked spectacular. The event coordinator at our reception venue said that Alan was one of the most professional and courteous vendors he's ever had the pleasure of working with for a wedding.

One of the things that really sets them apart, in my opinion, is that they offer a full range of services at a very reasonable price. I researched a lot of DJs before choosing Alan and Angela, and found that many start with a base price and then tack on charges for additional services such as lighting, a photo montage, providing music at the ceremony site in addition to the reception, extra hours past the original scheduled time, and other things. With Alan and Angela, the price we paid included everything, and it was very reasonable. We didn't get charged extra for lighting, our photo montage, or the fact that they also provided our ceremony music at a different location. It was an honor and privilege to work with them and I would happily recommend them to anyone needing DJ...

Berrygood did awesome!! Our wedding was a week ago and I can't quit smiling!! It was perfect!! I had been to a few weddings before mine that were long, boring, and had no flow to them. Mine was nothing like that! Angela kept in contact with us throughout the entire day! Everything flowed beautifully! Berrygood did our ceremony music, photo montage and reception activities and music! Everyone had so much fun!! There was not a dull moment the whole night! Make sure to do the shoe game!!! It was so fun and all the guests had a blast watching it! I can't say enough good things about Berrygood! You won't be dissapointed!

Wonderful! So much fun! They got my rowdy group of friends organized for things and kept the entire wedding involved and included! They were so wonderful, friendly, and professional! We loved theything that they did for us!

Alan and Angela were so helpful during our planning process. Alan helped us decide great music for certain parts of the ceremony and reception. His meetings were never rushed and he always took plenty of time. I cannot even began to describe how happy we were with Alan's DJ services. He was so helpful! He definitely went above and beyond for us to make our day special. He carried my plates of food for me, found the head table silverware, made sure we had a drink throughout the night and was always checking to make sure we didn't need anything else. He played exactly what we asked. He lights and lasers were amazing! He arrived extra early in the day and stayed as long as we needed him to. He made everything flow so smoothly and guided the flow of the night. In my husbands words.... "he out-coordinated the wedding coordinator." He is not the type to nickel and dime you! Angela provided a wonderful evening for my daughter's wedding! Our family and friends commented on what a great job she did and they all loved the different types of music she played.

At our first meeting, we met both Alan and Angela. Angela ended up being our DJ for our event and she was AMAZING!! She played soft, appropriate background music during our cocktail hour and dinner. She added lights to the reception hall that added the perfect touch of color. Angela made a wonderful photo montage to help us all take a trip down memory lane. Then, she cranked up the music to get the party started a little later in the evening. Angela was very helpful throughout the night, from carrying my dinner plate to our table, getting us drinks, and even helping to bustle my dress! She played all of our must haves and avoided our don't plays, as well as took requests from guests. Angela even came out of the dance floor to bust a move with us! :) Everyone raved about how personable and just how awesome she was! We HIGHLY recommend BerryGood Light and Sound!

I was very impressed with everything provided BerryGood Lights and Sound. They met with us within a week of our first contact and walked us throught everystep. They ask all of the rigth questions and know what to ask that you may have forgot about. Two weeks out from our wedding they met with us "The Mill" to review what the night would like and give suggestions. It was a wonderful experince and I would highly recommand the show game.

Took care of all the details I didn't want too! Angela was great. Kept our dance floor going all night...exactly what we wanted. So many great compliments. Will always recommend!!

I first heard of BerryGood Light and Sound through my friend who used them last August for their wedding. Nothing but great remarks on how they did. Working with Angela and Alan for my big day was WONDERFUL. I first met with Angela to discuss working with them and I mostly spoke with her back and forth through email or calls. She was always very helpful if I had questions and very quick with getting back with me. Alan was the one who actually DJ'd for us for the ceremony and reception and he was absolutely fantastic; the lighting, the photo montage, the shoe game questions, etc. He also helped guide Brandon and I through the whole night. It was all very smooth and I did not once feel rushed. Alan was great with everyone, he helped me getting food/drinks/anything I needed. WONDERFUL SERVICE. I couldn't have asked for a better night. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone that asked. A few friends that are engaged already have their business cards :) thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts and anyone that is reading this--I cannot put into words how wonderful Angela and Alan are at their profession. Angela was absolutely WONDERFUL! My husband and I picked most of the ceremony and reception activity songs, but she did a wonderful job of playing them and being open to our ideas! BerryGood provided our sons wedding reception with the music, video montage and lighting. They did an absolutely fantastic job. We met with them several months ago and they were so fun. Our son was so impressed. He knew he wanted them to take care of the reception. We had over 90 pictures and the video montage was awesome!. The music they played during the video was perfect! They kept the reception fun and entertaining. The bride/groom question game was the BEST! Everyone has told us how much they enjoyed that part of the recpetion (a must have). We could not have been more happy with BerryGood Light and Sound! Alan was our DJ and he was awesome! We absolutely loved working with him. We got married at Circle S Ranch and he came highly recommended, so we knew he must be good, but he definitely surpassed our expectations. He is so personable and really helped our guests enjoy the evening. I never felt like there was any "down time" where people just stood around. He got guests involved and entertained from the get-go. He also took care of us all night. He helped us with our food and drinks, made sure everything was running smoothly and always checked on things he wasn't for sure on. I know many reviews have said this, but he was definitely a wedding coordinator and fabulous at it! We had so many of our guests all throughout the wedding and afterwards, ask us where we found him. His wife Angela was fantastic to work with as well! She got back to me right away on every question I had, which was not the case with so many other vendors we worked with. Out of everyone, they where the ones that I was most confident that the job would get done right. I didn't feel I needed to outline everything out in detail and review it with them a million times. Angela was wonderful. She was so gracious and nice, very easy to talk with and happy to be apart of the wonderful day. She put together a slide show for my daughter and son-in-law. My husband and I were married on Sept 8, 2012 at Deer Creek Golf Club and BerryGood was our DJ for our Ceremony and Reception and also set up the lighting. I have nothing but wonderful things to say! Alan helped make the flow of the ceremony/reception go very smoothly. The lighting that was set created a very cozy, intimate environment for dinner and then when the dancing started the light show got the crowd up on their feet. He and his wife make a great team and were very helpful with ideas to make everything very personalize. I would highly recommend them!

Alan was an awesome DJ at our reception! We booked BerryGood Light and Sound early after seeing them at a friend's wedding reception. Both Alan and Angela were very professional and asked the right questions to get us to think about the items we wanted in our celebration. We met up the week before the event to go over last minute details. Alan set up awesome lighting in our colors and even was able to control the lights at the reception venue to match the progression of events. There is no better DJ service than BerryGood Light and Sound! Our wedding was INCREDIBLE, they had so many great ideas for the wedding. The photo montage was great, the music was exactly what we wanted, the fireworks were AMAZING. Alan really stepped in and ran the show which we appreciated because the wedding coordinator at the ranch we got married at was nowhere to be found that weekend. He worked in all of my quirky ideas, including surprising my husband with a life size cardboard Shaquille O'neal for the garter toss :O) I am so grateful to these two, there's no question about it - hire them!!

Angela was amazing. Not only wit the music but she refilled our drinks when we were standing in the buffet line and she also carried my food over to my table so that I would not spill it all over myself. I work as the Weddings and Events Coordinator at the Circle S Ranch in Lawrence, KS and have been working with Alan and Angela for the past few years. I can not say enough good things about them. They are so attentive to all the tiny little extra details that most people would not even think about. We recently used them for a huge outdoor event that we did and we needed a HUGE Tent, (they do tents too), and outdoor DJ service and was just amazed by their willingness to jump in and help out, the fact that they take so much pride in what they do, as to make sure a tent that is used over and over again is PRISTINE WHITE, and their equipment is all so nice and clean. They came early just to make sure everything would work right, and stayed late just to make sure everything went ok. Most DJ's I work with are in and out and never even say hi to me. I will continue to tell every bride that walks thru our door about Berry Good they are fantastic, and they really care about making every bride and groom's special day unforgettable. I would give 6 stars if I could! They are always on time, great price, can do fireworks, tents, picture show....and the list goes on! I think that Alan and Angela could go into wedding coordinating too! Above everything else they are hysterical and have awesome personalities! They are the best!!!

Alan Berry was an excellent DJ at our wedding reception. He provided the DJ services, lighting, and set up a dance floor for our outdoor party. He also planned a fun game for us to play. He was very professional and arrived on time/early to every meeting and to our event. We will certainly be recommending him to family & friends!

They did a spectacular job to say the least. Everything went extremely well. We wanted a nice, light and fun atmosphere and that is exactly what we got. We told them what we were invisioning, and they delivered. Their flat rate and extreme professionalism was great. Berrygood Sound was SUPER attentive. Alan actually coordinated everything perfect from the caterers serving, to the entrance, all the way to the finale. Alan even took my plate to the table and got me a drink so that I would'nt get anything on me:). The photo montage was beautifully prepared, the lights were amazing, and loved the sound from the speakers! I had multiple guests tell me how awesome he was. It was a great experience. He took the worry away and made it a perfect experience for me, my husband, family and friends.

Angela was amazing!!! She played exactly what we asked and even did a couple spur of the moment things at the last second. She went above and beyond to make the day about us and make us feel special. She even went out of her way to make sure we always had a drink in our hand and didn't have to leave our guest to get one. She kept the pace and things flowing so that all we had to do was just be there and enjoy. We had a couple of special events that shared our day like an anniversary for one of our parents and a few birthdays and she made them feel special too. We had never met Angela before the wedding and couldn't have chosen a better person for the job. She treated us like a friend who was getting married not just another couple.

Alan and Angela were AMAZING! I knew from the first time I met Alan that I wanted him to dj my wedding!
They were both amazing to work with. Friendly and supportive, and very quick to respond to emails and questions. Any questions I had and any help I needed they were there to help and keep me calm and work out anything I needed! I had them do music for my ceremony, a photo montage and music for the reception. All were flawless.
Alan arrived at my venue early in the day and began setting up. He actually hung my wedding dress and a couple bridesmaids dresses so they would be out of harms way. (Which he offered to do) Not only was he the dj he was there every second of the day to help any way and make sure we were getting royal treatment!
The lights he set up around the venue were amazing and really set the tone for the wedding. We danced to music all night! I had given him a list of my favorite songs, which he did an amazing job of going through, but he also added in his own selection and it could not have been more fun! It was so sad when the night was over! We had several people tell us how impressed they were. You really get so much for your money. I would have payed double for the service we got. I would highly recommend BerryGood Light and Sound to anybody looking for a dependable dj who will provide you an amazing time!

Allen is a true professional. We felt so comfortable knowing he had everything under control and he went above and beyond to make sure he was acquainted with the details of that day so that it could run as smoothly as possible. His equipment is as good as it gets. Great sound, awesome lighting, he even brings in a TV or projector to play media for your guests to see. I definitely recommend him! Not to mention... he is a really cool and fun guy to be around!

We hired Angela to do our ceremony and reception music! She was very responsive to any requests we had. She was also knowledgeable about all types of music and was able to helped us pick some great songs for our ceremony. Angela and Alan were fantastic to work with, from the very start. They were fun, excited, happy and flexible. It was always a pleasure to meet with them to discuss wedding details. I surprised my husband with a live singer for our first dance. Angela made the surprise come off without a hitch, coordinating with the performer ahead of time, and adjusting the day of when the performer brought additional equipment to ensure it was still a surprise. Angela also did a really great job incorporating some indie songs that we shared into the dance without breaking up the flow - her timing and sense of the crowd was impeccable.

During our last meeting prior to the wedding, Angela suggested we do the Shoe Game. I was somewhat familiar, my husband was not. We decided sure, why not. It was such a huge hit that our families played it with other couples when we got together the next day!

Angela also did a fantastic job coordinating with all our vendors, really running the show at the reception without drawing any attention to herself. She kept us on time and having fun, all night.

We had such a great time working with both Angela and Alan, we will have to look for an excuse to have another party with them again soon! We can't recommend them highly enough.

My husband and I were first introduced to Alan when he DJ'd a friends wedding. We had so much fun that night. My husband got his card that night as he knew he would be proposing soon. Once we were engaged, there was no question of who would DJ the wedding. When we contacted Alan & Angela we were delighted to find out we could also rent a tent, tables, chairs and table cloths from them. Really a one stop shop!

During the planning of the wedding we met with Alan & Angela a few times and they were always quick to return an email with questions, etc. Angela also sat down with me & helped me hand pick songs for our ceremony and reception.

They set up the tent for a 2 days prior to the wedding day so we had time to set up. On the wedding day Alan showed up promptly to set up his DJ equipment. Alan was very helpful and professional during the reception. Without him, we might have never gotten to a first dance-we were so overwhelmed! He stayed right on top of keeping the party moving in the right direction. We also played the "shoe game". It was so much fun and our guests couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was!

I would without a doubt recommend Alan & Angela. They took such great care of us & I know our wedding reception wouldn't have been as much fun without them! We now have such amazing memories of our reception & we are so thankful that they were apart of it.

I cannot fully express how wonderful Berry Good is. I must admit, I was heistant to hire them because they did cost slightly more than other DJs in the area. They are worth every dollar. My fiance convinced me that having a bad DJ/music is one of the top 5 potential epic failures of a wedding reception (they do run the show). I hate to admit when he is right...but in this instance he was right (and I ended up telling him numerous times)! Alan (co-owner) took over when the venue staff sucked, he met with us numerous times to make sure he knew what we wanted, suggested we incorporate things into our reception that were HUGE successes, was very professional, the list goes ON and ON! HIRE THEM NOW! I could not wait to write this review for Alan because he honestly deserves our praise and we want nothing but the best for him and his company!

Alan and Angela are true professionals with great talent! I knew the moment I hired them I would be able to sit back and know that everything would be taken care of. Angela was wonderful to work with. I was so stressed about picking out the perfect songs for our ceremony and reception but she made sure to help me. She offered to meet and sit down so I could hear a selection of music to pick from and she had so many great suggestions. When she arrived at the venue she even added some extra lighting to really make the room stand out for the ceremony. The ceremony was perfect. Allen and Angela provided the best service of all our vendors and we had FANTASTIC people on every front. However, Allen and Angela were the best...they went above and beyond in every way for us and we are so happy we found them. And the fireworks are WORTH EVERY PENNY! thanks so much A & A!

Alan and Angela were the best service, by far, that we hired for our wedding. Not only did they proactively figure out everything that needed to be done, they went WAY above and beyond during and after the ceremony & reception to make sure everything was perfect.

From providing the venue lighting (uplighting was AWESOME, by the way), the DJ and entertaining services, they also did a fireworks show that was really, really impressive. We continue to get great comments about the fireworks and what a great addition it was to our party.

I'm not usually one to get on these sites and review vendors or services, but I was blown away by everything else they did, in addition to being great DJs, entertainers and hosts of the whole event. They helped set up the reception venue, they kept the entire reception & dinner organized (sending tables to the buffet line, making sure we (bride and groom) were fed during times of stress :), playing great music, fun games, and kept the dance floor going!).

I can't say enough good things about what Berry Good Light and Sound did for us. There was never a moment that they thought or said "that's not our job"...they did EVERYTHING to make the evening go well. By far, the best money and best value of anything we spent on our wedding.

This team was awesome Alan and Angela went way above what we could have ever expected from our DJ on our wedding day. They kept the party going from start to finish. They didn't miss a beat. We couldnt have asked for anyone better to dj our wedding. They were awesome. So easy to work with and stay in contact with. They played a variety of songs that everyone knew and enjoyed. The set up of their lights blew everyone's mind! We loved working with them and definitely recommend them to any and everyone!

Awesome! After our first meeting, I felt like I had know him my whole life. Very funny, personable and down to earth. BerryGood Light and Sound did a terrific job of putting together the slide show, of coordinating the reception events, getting/playing the music, setting the fun mood that my daughter and son-in-law wanted. So 11 days before my wedding I find myself with out a DJ! It was the most stressful part of planning the entire wedding. I found BerryGood through wedding wire and sent them a request immediately. Angela called me with in a matter of an hour to see what they could do to help. They were open for our date and came all the way to downtown KCMO to meet with my bridesmaid and I. The meeting went great both Alan and Angela were easy to talk to and had such great suggestions. The wedding reception went off without a hitch. Alan was the DJ, and I was shocked to see as many people on the dance floor as we had. Both my grandmas were even hitting up the dance floor and having a ball. My favorite part of the night was the last dance. We had picked Edwin McCain's I'll Be. Alan had everyone circle around the dance floor while my husband and I danced our last song for the night. Near the middle of the song Alan had everyone move in and circle around us even closer, we could both feel the love from everyone at that moment. The shoe game was also a huge hit with everyone. Thank you Alan and Angela for helping us out of a bind and making our wedding so memorable.

Unbelievable! You will never find a better DJ! From day one Alan and Angela were amazing! They acted as if we were their best friends! Alan blew our guests away! He got the crowd pumped up and kept the party going till two in the morning!!!! And the fireworks......Better than Royals stadium and any professional show I've ever seen! They did more than we could've ever asked! And their slide show even had our videographer in awe! The quality and perfection was out of this world! I can't say enough in words about how awesome they are! Truly genuine people! I couldn't even imagine a event with the two of them! We are both still in awe! Alan did an excellent job at our wedding. I threw a last minute change at him when I found out my brothers planned a surprise video and he was very accommodating. The songs played were great and there was constant dancing on the dance floor. I was also impressed with his attentiveness to me (bringing me drinks, etc.) I highly recommend BerryGood Light & Sound. Alan and Angela were amazing to work with. My husband and Alan kicked it off immediatley by finding many things in common. We knew instantly he would be our DJ. Alan's personality would fit any couple in their decision to have him as their DJ for their special day. He took on a role as being the master of the ceremony at our reception, we are still getting compliments about his services. We had a problem with our bartender who encountered travel problems. Alan immediately accomodated us and helped out at the bar. His ability to motivate our guests to dance was phenomenal. As the bride and groom, Alan's service to us was heartfelt. Immediately after our entrance he took over and facilitated our movement throughout the reception. Whether it was getting in line for the buffet, getting us drinks, and cutting the cake; just a few examples of how Alan helped us in our special day. Alan and Angela provided an exquisite service from DJ/event rentals to a stellar professional service. My son's wedding was a huge success thanks to Alan's efficient and professional service. We had the event on our acreage, outside, with the ceremony under our willow tree. The reception and dance was provided under a Wedding Tent. My wedding could not have happened without everything that Berry Good Light and Sound provided! I don't even know where to begin... The uplighting and incredible light show they designed for the reception turned my ordinary venue into an incredible dream zone. It set the mood for the whole post-ceremony party and kept the energy running. They were amazing at sticking to the reception schedule we had previously discussed and made sure everything moved as needed. They provided my ceremony sound and music as well as the reception entertainment (can I say again how awesome the light show was? I was blown away by what they delivered.), we also rented a stage for the ceremony and dance floor for the reception... Plus, they also provided sparklers for our departure at a minimal additional cost. They worked with my last minute anxiety and were phenomenal to partner with. I'd highly recommend them to anyone!

Alan has many years of experience being a DJ for many many weddings yet he made our wedding feel unique. That's totally cool". He had us rocking all night (seriously, I think that was one of the most crowded dance floors I've seen at a wedding) and I bet if we would have asked him to stay until 5 am he would have gladly agreed! Our guests commented on how professional Alan was with the mic and as the mc of our reception. It was enough to make sure everyone knew what was going on and remained engaged but not too much as to take away from the party. Angela DJ'd our wedding in Columbia, Missouri in April 2011. From our preliminary email communcations, eventual phone conversations and in-person meetings, she did such a wonderful job to ensure our night went smoothly.

As we had a bit of trouble making some decisions about our ceremony music, Angela was quick with suggestions and so accomodating when we made our final choices. She kept the reception flowing and our dance floor was packed the whole night.

I would definitely recommend BerryGood Light and Sound. Alan and Angela were great about meeting with us before the wedding. They always made things very convenient for us and had great ideas. They helped us plan everything out and give us suggestions whenever we needed them. They were also very reasonably priced and offered excellent service. Angela did a photo montage for our rehearsal dinner that was just perfect and had everyone tearing up.

Alan & Angela are absolutely amazing to work with! The minute you meet them you realize they are more than just a vendor, they become your friends. And just like any friend they want your day to be amazing and go above and beyond to make that happen for you! I have worked with many dj's in my profession (event coordinator) I have never found any as professional and helpful as BerryGood! I cannot say enough good things about them. Book them!

Alan provided the entertainment for our rehearsal dinner. We chose to have karaoke as an option to loosen up our families and have a good time after the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. He did a great job incorporating music in between karaoke songs and knew what to play to get people on the dance floor! He had a great balance of younger generation music for us and our friends, and some older tunes for our family members. I've heard many times that it was the best rehearsal dinner ever!

When planning a wedding where do you start....seems to be a question I had at the begining of this wonderful process. I recently got married Oct. 23rd 2010. I chose to start with Place, reception hall, Photographer, DJ in that order. My reason was because you are getting married so you need a place, next reception hall for celebration, pictures for all your wonderful memories, DJ to keep the celebration the best it can be since this is the best day of your life which is the beginning to the rest of your life!

Berry Good Light and Sound was referred to me, so when I looked into their services I was happy to see that it is a wife and husband team. Who are absolutely awesome, wonderful, very personable people. The thing I enjoyed the most working with Alan and Angela was that, they want to get to know you...its not just a business and treat you like a number. I rated all 5's because that is truly all 5's.

Quality of service...if you have any questions about their service they have no problem answering them, they go above and beyond, they offered things to me I didn't know they could do. For example I had an outdoor wedding, so I did need ceremony music since I didn't go with anyone singing or like violin's to that degree, they just mentioned that they could do my ceremony music with out a doubt I said yes, because when I thought of DJ I just thought of reception music...first dance, father daughter dance etc. So I was extremely happy they could do that so I wouldn't have to stress with, well do I just have my brothers bring equipment to play a C.D. thank goodness times a 100 they did my ceremony music, although I love my brothers just glad they offered that to me. The other thing that I fell in love with was my husband and I did a photo montage, which is something else they do other than just play music at a reception hall. It is soooo personalized to you, I selected pictures I wanted displayed in a certain order then I selected songs to go along with the pictures. At the reception hall they set it up like a mini movie theatre, had a screen to view with you sitting front row and center with all your guests enjoying the mini movie of you growing up and you together as a couple dating etc. It was awesome, a lot of laughter some tears but highly recommend to do this its something you get to keep plus you get a couple copies to give to family. A lot of people didn't realize we were doing a photo montage so it gave an extra personal touch. I use to think reception was food, wedding cake and dancing with a band or DJ. Well its your day, make it how you want it, I love how Alan and Angela give you different options. I unfortunately don't have my mom or dad any longer, so when it came to father daughter dance I opted to not do that, Alan made suggestions of dancing with someone that was very close to me like one of my brothers or uncles etc. well I was concerned on personal reasons like yes I have an older brother, but I have a younger one that is 15 months apart from me yet the baby brother he was 12 when mom passed so who do you pick.......I mean I could go on and on. So I chose to come in with the bridal party with a very fun up beat song right into a song my husband and I danced to for the first time together when we were dating then a little later instead of a father daughter song I did a song for us again that we felt brought us together as a couple from beginning to the end of our lives together. Alan gives you a normal flow as he would say how things go through the night of the reception but he is able to switch things around because as he said "it is your day" he gives you suggestions, seriously they know what they are doing, they have been doing this for quite sometime.

Responsiveness...generally it is same day response. Angela had my e-mail address plus phone numbers. I would tell Angela call me if you have any questions etc. for example she called me the night of my rehersal dinner because she wanted to verify a song selection of when to start it for the photo montage just so she had it exactly the way we wanted it. You know some people would be like, well she is probably busy with rehersal so I think she will like it this way...no assumptions made here. When you hire them which you will have already looked their phone number up by this point of this feedback, you will not be disappointed. To be very honested, I never looked up any other DJ service after meeting with Alan, he is that personable, they make you feel like family!

Professionalism, when I met with Alan to inquire he had forms that asked questions of location of ceremony and reception and what time so they had that information for their files plus you fill out what music you want played if you would like to have a photo montage which you should just check mark that box yes you don't even have to think about that one...they take down all your contact information. But of course this is just to look over you don't have to sign anything when you first meet, but again you will not be disappointed. For the day of the wedding Alan wore a dark red shirt that had Berry Good Light and Sound and Angela matched the same color shirt and pants, so that way they were easy to spot and they didn't look like all the guests and if you or guests needed to talk to them you knew who they were. The other big thing I liked is they work with the photographer, which is who referred them to me. What I mean by that is, when its time to throw the bouquet Alan would let the guests know and then the photographer is where they need to be to get your amazing pictures taken for that moment of the reception and the same with cake cutting etc. It makes sense because the DJ and photographer need to communicate during the whole event so you are totally satisfied. I am glad that I went with the referral because that was one less step that each of them had to do to get an understanding of how each of them do their "flow" seriously it makes sense then it was one less thing I had to worry about towards making sure each other are on the same page, they had worked together before for different weddings in the past, it was a no-brainer! Alan gets involved with the guests too, that was another favorite of mine, he wasn't just sitting behind his music equipement pushing play and stop, he would announce the next thing we would do whether it was our first dance to cake cutting and even announce a song or two that he was going to play. Angela, after going through the buffet line she was right there saying "here let me take your plate to the table for you." Just amazing, I just can't say that word enough.

Value of Cost, have you heard the saying, you get what you paid for and then some. I really don't have to say anything else then. My husband and I went to a wedding where they decided to do just an i-pod, well for one it cut out then stopped because it lost its charge, they couldn't find a song that they wanted played for their first dance. I mean i'm sure their have been i-pods that work for people at an event but you don't get the guests attention...when your aunt is in the bathroom and Alan announces they are going to do the garter toss then she knows to come towards the dance floor instead of going towards the kitchen. Also he can announce who is going to give speeches, that is a very nice perk to have that doesn't usually come with an i-pod. I have also heard of people going with a DJ service where they have more than one DJ but on that day it may not be the same person that your cousin got for her wedding last year. Alan and Angela are the people you are working with for Berry Good Light and Sound from beginning to end. If you notice their name that also have the word light, that is because they have awesome lighting I can't explain, like disco lights dancing on the walls and ceilings to the beat of the music plus in the corners of the dance floor were light, not just lights though, Alan came up to me in the evening and asked if I noticed the color of them, they were the colors I picked for my wedding colors, I mean how personalized can you get...really, that was totally cool, I mean they knew my colors...but you would have to say is pretty awesome that just goes to show how detail oriented they are.

So last but not least let me touch on flexibility, I've got a good one for this one, I did mention outdoor wedding. So yes I had a back up plan, it was the reception site but flexibility came into play when we had to decide if the rain that was predicted for the day was really going to happen, so Alan and I decided that by 3 I would call and let him know if he would need to pack up from the ceremony site to move his equipment to the reception site so the wedding could still start at 5. Now that was flexibility, and yes i'm sure you are wondering....well it opened up and down poured for literally 2-3 mins including pea size hail around 3, when the wedding party ran for their lives for cover and my thoughts were exactly this, its going to pass, this is nothing, its going to be just beautiful! Guess what...it was amazingly beautiful, overcast for an outdoor wedding is ideal that way you are not squinting in your pictures, it was breezy and actually a couple degrees cooler than before 3 when it was kinda muggy. So after reading all this to my husband I asked him what his feedback was and he simply stated that they are very organized and self sufficient.

I hope that you find the feedback very helpful, I gave details so you can relate instead of a simple just rating of 5. When planning a wedding a lot of details can go into it, its your day why wouldn't you want everything to be rated at 5's on a scale of 1-5. So know that your DJ and even your photographer are 2 very important things to consider for your day that will make your day completely awesome.

Words don't describe how happy we were was with Alan & Angela as our DJ. They were really easy to talk to during our meetings and they took the time to understand our needs. At our wedding the up lighting looked amazing and they both did a great job keeping everything running smoothly! As we partied into the night Alan did his beatmixing and everyone thought that was really cool!

I cannot say enough positive things about Alan & Angela!!!! We planned our wedding long distance from Virginia, and Alan & Angela made us feel completely at ease & assured that our reception would be everything we wanted it to be. They truly go above & beyond to make sure you are happy & that your day goes perfectly! They personally went to our venue before the wedding day so that they knew exactly what they would need to make our vision a reality. They even drove over an hour one way to meet with me because it was the most convenient meeting place for me! The day of our wedding was more perfect than I ever could have imagined it!! The uplighting was phenomenal...they even threw in four extra uplights for free. Our gobo literally made me jump up & down with excitement when I first saw it :) They never complained or asked us to reduce our number of photos for the montage when we gave them three times as many photos. They even helped flip our room after the ceremony to get it ready for the reception. They made sure Chase & I always had a drink as well as taking our plates to the head table for us. They are truly remarkable in their customer service. Probably the most touching moment for me was during our first dance. I had been trying to find a high def copy of a video off of YouTube to be played during our first dance, but was unsuccessful. Alan had asked me during our planning meeting to send them the link to my favorite video. Much to my surprise & amazement, as my husband & I were taking the dance floor, my favorite video started playing in high def!! I had to wait until the mother/son dance to ask Alan how they had found a copy when I had been so unsuccessful. As it turned out, Alan & Angela were so focused on making sure that our day was perfect that Alan decided he was going to recreate my favorite video in high def for us!!! What he thought was only going to be 30 sequences turned out to be over 300 and took him over 4 hours, but he was determined to do this for us!! He even burned us a copy to take home at the end of the night :) We truly were so beyond blessed to have had Alan & Angela as our DJs!! They made our wedding the most memorable & enjoyable day of our lives!! Thank you Alan & Angela from the bottom of our hearts for being the great people you are!!

Berry Good DJ was amazing at our wedding!!! They really put a lot of help into planning for the event and then executing perfectly. Alan met with us twice ahead of time just to make sure everything was as we wanted. From going over all the little details, to dealing with our super picky taste in music. The night of the reception, Alan made everything go perfectly!! He has such a high energy personality, but not overbearing, just right to get the crowd dancing and participating. Alan also made us feel like we didn't have to worry about anything. The lights were also fabulous!! They really set the mood- people were dancing ALL night! Have you ever been to a wedding reception where there is NOT a DJ? What was it, an ipod attached to a dock? Or have you had the experience of a bad DJ?
