We loved All The Above Events! We used James Lee as our DJ/MC for the day, and he was amazing. Leading up to the day he was great in helping to organize the schedule of the day and logistics, and was great with song ideas and suggestions. Very professional, and great at providing quick response to email and providing his expertise & opinions. On the day of the wedding he was personable, fun, but still very organized and great at keeping the day moving on schedule. He did a great job of playing a lot of the music we wanted to hear as well as his own party music to maintain a fun party atmosphere. Not only that, we had a friend sing our first dance so he coordinated all the equipment and logistics for this, making it run flawlessly. After the day, we got a lot of comments from friends how much fun they had at the wedding and how great our DJ/MC was. He really was an asset to the day, and we were so glad we had him!

James is by far the best MC/DJ out of all the weddings I've ever attended period. He just recently did our wedding and we could not have asked for more. Seriously, spectacular job James! Let's start from the beginning. He was available whenever we needed him and made our lives a lot easier. We gave him a list of songs that we liked and he knew exactly what kind of music we wanted. James kept the party going all the up to the end of the night. So many of our friends commented on how awesome the DJ was that night.

He was also MC and communicated extremely well with our wedding coordinator so that everything went smoothly. We honestly did not have to worry about anything because James made sure the guests had a good time. He provided all the sound system, 2 mics, and about 16 lights. James came early that day and made sure everything was working properly. His attention to detail, organization, and effort is evident and it shows throughout the night. James is really friendly and professional. He delivers nothing less than exceptional and we are so grateful! Thanks James again!!!

James was AWESOME!!! By far the best vendor we hired for our wedding! He was friendly, organized and professional. Was fun and kept the party going without being corny! My husband and I have very different taste in music and James did an excellent job of handling both of our special requests. I got so many compliments on him from my guests. I highly reccommend him!

James was an amazing DJ!! From the first time we met him it was apparent how much he loves what he does. From creating our event timeline to helping me with wedding slide show questions-- he was there for me. The day of the wedding he kept us on time for everything. We were so busy with everything going on it was nice to have someone keep track the time-from reminding us when the toast and speeches should be done and even when it was time to cut the cake. James took care of us from the first email up til the end of our wedding. He knows what music to play based on the type of guests, and I love that he could download any song we requested in the matter of minutes-No one could use the excuse that the DJ wasnt playing music they could dance to:) You will not be sorry if you hire James for your wedding!!

James is awesome! From our first meeting he was knowledgeable and professional. I'm really...uhm..."organized" so when he whipped out his computer with spreadsheets and song ideas, I knew this was our guy. Then when he and my fiance bonded over sports...it was a wrap!

James took care of all our audio, lighting, and DJ needs. He educated us on wireless speakers for our ceremony (we were married on the beach in Malibu) and made sure the sound was excellent. During the reception, the lighting was perfect and most importantly...he did an amazing job of balancing our musical tastes/requests.

His MC skills are awesome and really helped to keep the evening flowing. As far as his DJ skills, only a genuis could blend neo soul/R&B, classic rock, 80's hair bands, and "old school" Rap in a way that kept everyone grooving all night and talking about how great the music was the next day!

James patience and professionalism really shined when he didn't even blink an eye as we kept editing the "must play" list...even until the night before the wedding.

James Dj'd our wedding and was great! He was nice and professional when we met, and when the reception came, he really turned on the 'dj' mode and totally rocked the wedding! He knew when some songs I requested weren't really working, so he quickly changed them to keep everyone up and dancing, which was really important to us. He was easy to work with and really well priced. I am recommending him to friends and would use him again.

Our wedding was this past Saturday on 6/11. James provided us with the ceremony music, projector for our slide show, uplights, and DJ/MC for our reception. He did a great job overall despite very minor technical difficulties with the slideshow. We loved the lighting. James is incredibly helpful, and sent us song ideas for each part of the wedding e.g. processional, grand entrance, etc. We met with him twice...the initial consultation, and then to provide him with our music list & slideshow. Both times, he was accommodating and met us half-way. He's also very responsive via email. We recommended our friends to him, and he's giving us a $80 referral fee. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ/MC.

James was our DJ for our wedding a couple of weeks ago. When we first met James initially, he was very professional and gave an excellent presentation. He is responsive to email and phone calls. He has suggestions for your weddings but he will do and play what ever you want. Will meet with you almost anywhere that is convenient for you. The wedding was a great success and James played a big part of it. I've been to weddings with DJs and would have to say some of their MC jobs were not the best. James is professional dressed, everything set up early. Music and MC job excellent . Uplights he set up for us was great. Got the guests involved with games.

We loved James! He met with my husband and I and answered all our questions. He is very VERY organized which really helps any bride and groom planning their wedding. He provided us with lists to fill out if we had specific songs we wanted played. Everyone at our wedding loved him, especially us! My only advice is only let your guest put in song requests to James if you REALLY want them to request songs hahaha because they WILL request songs and all your (bride & groom) favorite songs might not have time to get played (if you have to leave the venue at a certain time). But ALL our guests loved him and so did we!

James is the man! He will definately exceed any and all expectations. He did our wedding ceremony and reception and we couldn't of been happier.

James did the music for our ceremony and reception. He was extremely easy to work with and very responsive (which is why the process was so easy). He played everything on my playlist, worked with last minute changes, and never pressured us to book him during our initial meeting (I met with several DJs). He offers various services, but he never imposed any unsolicited service on us and I asked him to do our ceremony just before the wedding and it all worked out perfectly. I recommend him because he is very professional and ended up being one of the easiest vendors for my coordinator to work with (again, the responsiveness). He's also honest (we had an accidental overpayment and he helped us out).

We were planning our wedding from across the country, so we ended up booking James over the phone somewhat last minute after hearing about him through a friend. From the initial call, we knew how professional he was. He takes his job seriously and it shows. He is also extremely pleasant, organized, and knows what he's doing! He worked w/ us to come up with games for the reception (we used him for both DJ and MC services) which people loved! He's also a great DJ and made sure to play all the songs that my friends requested. I would recommend James to anyone who just wants to have the peace of mind in knowing that they are working with a completely organized, professional DJ/MC who takes his job seriously and won't let you down.

James provided LED Uplighting for my wedding. Unfortunately, by the time I found him, we had already booked our wedding DJ/MC so we did not use his service for that and so our review will be based on our experience with him to acquire uplighting for our wedding. It was such a pleasure working with James. From our very first meeting, he was friendly and energetic and accommodating. He arrived on time and with equipment ready to show us what he is able to do as far as LED Uplighting goes. He provided an affordable uplighting package that was more than enough, even for the large size reception room we had. James always made himself available to us via phone or e-mail, he was able to make come to life the vision I had for the uplighting in our reception room and during one point of our planning when my husband and I had to change our wedding date, he kindly accommodated us with no problems and on the wedding day, he took care everything personally. The uplighting was gorgeous and our guests raved about it! I have no doubt that James is an excellent DJ/MC as well & I will definitely recommend him to anyone I can. Thanks again James!

This did not happen with James, he answered all my questions before I could even ask them and his attention to detail is awesome!

He was very accomodating and super responsive to any and all emails/phone calls (even when he was on vacation). All of the music for the ceremony was perfectly on cue down to the specific seconds of the song we wanted. In addition to that he also took care of our lighting and GOBO at the reception which turned out GREAT! He used battery operated LED lights that lasted all night without all the ugly wires in the way.

I was thoroughly impressed with his MC abilities as well, he has a great personality and really got the crowd going and knew what songs to play to set the mood, he was not cheesy or overly done, it was just smooth. During our speeches he made sure everyone knew they were coming up next so they could be ready and even had a glass of champagne ready for them to toast with. I felt like I never had to remind him of anything because he was already prepared for it. He kept the flow of the night continous and everything seemed flawless (at least from my point of view).

**PRE-WEDDING**
We met James at a bridal show in Pasadena; his sincere, straight-forward and friendly attitude caught my attention right away. When we walked up to him and inquired regarding different packages, not only did he explain to us in detail about what he can do for us, he also gave us absolutely NO pressure to book with him on the spot. We felt very comfortable as we get to know what he offers - after my fiancée and I talked to him for about 15 minutes, we had a very good feeling about him and did not want to look further. I've looked EVERYWHERE for months and just couldn't find someone we are comfortable with (both personality and pricing), so after I heard James answering all the questions my fiancée had, I knew he was the one!! James was well-prepared at the bridal show so we were able to see/understand exactly what he is going to do for us as a DJ - and most importantly, his packages do not have hidden fees!! What you see is exactly what you get!

**CONSULTATION/MEETINGS**
James is very accommodating when it comes to communication. We live in OC and he is all the way in LA. He is always willing to meet us in the middle, not to mention, he's very flexible in terms of meeting times as long as you work it out with him in advance. :) We had one face-to-face meeting to go over most details - James spent almost 2 hours explaining all possible options we can consider. We appreciate his patience very very much. Also, he spent another hour or so on the phone with us a week before the wedding to finalize all the timeline details, etc. Overall, James is extremely responsive (email and phone) and very easy-going. He can work with pretty much anything you request. :) James helped us edit a song for our duet performance, and also edited our first-dance-song to our needs.

**DAY OF WEDDING**
As we expected, James came prepared - he knows our timeline very well and was able to improvise or accommodate depending on new requests/needs from us. We certainly appreciate his flexibility because there are things that we weren't able to provide him ahead of time, and he managed to handle everything perfectly. Everyone had so much fun and loved everything he played. We were very satisfied with the fact that there was no excessive talking which usually annoys guests. ;) James did everything we asked for including making necessary announcements effectively. He was a great help during reception because our guests knew exactly what was going on.

Everyone was telling me how great he was!! I am very happy that we made the right choice! :) Thank you SO MUCH James. We had a beautiful and fun wedding because of you!!

**Pre-Wedding**
-Meeting: We are couple who loves music and can spend hours in the dance floor. Music was a BIG key to our reception. After attending a few weddings with unfortunate bad DJ/MC’s, we vowed that we did not want to be part of those wedding horror stories. So, the hunt to find the perfect DJ/MC began. At our first meeting with James, we instantly knew he was indeed the best DJ/MC for our wedding. We were impressed with his presentation. It was knowledgeable, professional, yet very friendly. We liked that he was able to provide audio and visual samples. When we shared our vision for the reception, James listened and was able to provide feedback on how he can make it happen. We wanted to book him on the spot, but to be safe we decided to interview more DJ/MC’s. After several meetings with various DJ’s, James remained our number once choice.

-Communication: Throughout our whole wedding planning process James was always a pleasure to work with. Every time we or our coordinator emailed James, he always provided a prompt detailed response and was accommodating to our requests.

**Wedding Day**
-MC services: The reception flowed smoothly thanks to James and my coordinator, Kristeen. He made sure all of our important reception highlights (cake, garter toss &etc..) were completed before my photographer left. He was a personable MC and my guests were entertained all night.

-DJ services: My main request for the reception was to keep the dance floor packed all night. James definitely delivered. He did NOT disappoint! The dance floor was busy all night. Per our request he played lots of Latin, hip-hop and top 40's music. He played EVERY song/artist on our playlist--literally EVERY song on our list. We were pleasantly surprised!! Also James was able to accommodate our guest's song request. If he didn’t have a song in his music library, he instantly downloaded it and it was playing at our reception in matter of seconds!

**Post-Wedding**
Weeks after our wedding, guests are still commenting how great James was. Everyone was impressed with his MC and DJing services. We cannot rave enough how great James is. We’re hoping we get to host another huge party, just so we can book James!

OMG, I was struggling with finding a DJ and emcee for my recent labor day wedding. I turned to friends and family and no one could help me with finding a dj who could play my 10am-4pm reception time slot, emcee during that time...all under $1,000.

I turned to craigslist and scoured the ads and ran across the Best DJ + MC Entertainment Services and contacted them immediately. James Lee contacted me quickly and was very thorough with provisions. He quoted me $990 total for my 10am-4pm time slot (6 hours: $180/hr for first 5 hours and $90/hr thereafter). I asked for samples of his work and he sent me video of him djing/emceeing a middle school dance. Yes, that sounds weird but he did a great job keeping the party going. I immediately made an appointment to meet with him.

I brought a list of questions with me and both my fiancee were pleased with his answers. He was truly professional and amazing to boot! Even with my late request to add on a projector and screen to my contract, he accommodated me quickly, without complaint.

My wedding was great. He set up way early so as soon as the ceremony ended outside, he was already starting the music. He played everything on my music wishlist. He definitely listened to me when I gave him my DO NOT PLAYLIST. He even accommodated guests with their requests. James kept me on schedule with my program even when changes had to be made right then and there. He was everything I wanted and so much more. My guests still are talking about him and his services and are trying to find a reason to use him.
