Beth Beljon

OH MY GOSH!! We are super excited to have Beth shooting our wedding! We adore her work. Looking at a bazillion photographers was exhusting. Beth was referred to us by a friend of my fiancee's. We were blown away by her website. What sealed the deal was meeting her. What a doll! I have no doubt that our photos will be the best part of our wedding. You can't take that day back and I know that we will have it documented perfectly.

We are ecstatic that Beth was available for our wedding in Dec. this year! My fiance Tommy and I are totally confident she'll " wow" us with her photography! She is an amazing photographer and person. She photographed our friends wedding this year and saw her at work and was very impressed. The best part is the our venue has her on their preferred list. We can't wait!

Where do I begin?

We love our wedding photos and Beth is fabulous!!! The first thing that impressed us about Beth's photography is her amazing knack at catching those moments that speak volumes... a subtle glance or movement, a tear about to fall, a silly smirk or eye roll, a burst of laughter. There are so many emotions that arise at a wedding and it takes a true artist to freeze these fragments of time and catch the true person at the focus. It also takes a pretty wonderful person that can keep everyone at ease, get the shot and was never intrusive or distracting while doing it. We had a couple friends come up to us at the reception and ask, "Where did you find your photographer? You'd never even know that she was there and she's getting these amazing shots!" And the traditional portraits were no different! Our only difficulty was deciding what pictures were the best! We can't wait to give copies to our family and friends!!! Her patience with roaming family members and energetic children deserves a medal! And her attention to details with our musicians, the church, the flowers, programs and the gown round out a full account of our magical day! It's also easy for us to recommend to any couple that, in addition to the wedding photos, they should take advantage of Beth's engagement photos!!! Those were also beautiful and really caught us and how we are together. We have had several requests for copies of those too (one of the bride's maids asks about one particular picture every time we see or talk to her). We really can't say enough wonderful stuff about Beth and her work! When you return from your honeymoon and the flowers have faded, the dress is at the dry-cleaner and your family and friends have all scattered to the four corners of the earth, all you have left are your pictures and lots of wonderful memories and (of course) each other! When you have the pictures to help recall those memories... it's absolutely pr iceless!!!

The care and attention Beth Beljon gave us was beyond anything we expected. Beth's photography of our wedding was breath-taking and we love each and every photo. We are so appreciative. that's all my future husband I have to say... Beth photographed my sister's and now mine. My family loves Beth and we will love having her at our wedding. Beware new brides!! you'll have a hard time picking out your final photos for your wedding albums! Our family did! Beth was so considerate and pleasant to be around. What a JOY!! I've recommended her to 2 of my girlfriends that are getting married in the next year.

Our wedding was 6 month ago and Beth was highly recommended to us from a coworker. I'll admit, I am not into this kind of "critiquing, reviewing, posting stuff" since my life is very full and don't have much time to rehash and chat, chat, about every little nuance. But I am making a special exception to take the time to honor Beth and her keen eye for style, details and moments. I am not in a creative field but there's no getting around the fact that this girl has "it". I call her the miracle worker because there were lots of last minute glitches in the schedule and and unexpected happenings that only someone that is highly talented with great organizational skills could handle. Beth was spot on. Our photos exceeded our expectations and our album (which we just received) is spectacular. We would have had the album sooner but we were slow in choosing the final prints, there were so many beautiful shots. Beth was a joy to work with from the moment I met her to the very end when she hand delivered our album. Her personal touches and the extra attention was greatly appreciated. She gave us such a gift that I can never thank her enough. She is well worth her rate which has I believe gone up but her packages are very comprehensive.

AMAZING BEAUTIFUL STUNNING AND SPOT ON!!! We are by far Beth Beljon's biggest fans! Recommend her? YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS. She blew us away. We weren't surprised though. We both knew of her talent when she called me after a animal shelter benefit my husband and I produced. I'll never forget her saying ....I loved your event and photographed most of your rescued animals and the event . Beth did not ask for anything in return but just knowing that there are more funds for shelters for our homeless animals in LA made her feel so happy! What Beth didn't know is that we were on the hunt for a wedding photographer that could give us heart centered images that we'd enjoy looking at for many years. After seeing her work for the fundraiser we had to check out her wedding portfolio and folks it was no surprise that her love for what she does is so apparent. Needless the say we hired Beth and can I just say we were so pleased! This girl has talent not just the talent you see with photographers that get a shot by accident but she's got a gift. Her pleasant calming way of working with all of us when we were a bundle of nerves was appreciated. She a peacefulness effect with whoever she is around. But don't let her relaxed nature fool you; she is QUICK and always looking for the next shot. Her talent is BIG and her love for weddings is BIG. Thank you!!

I found Beth through a feature in LA Weddings magazine. We were sure that we made the right decision after meeting with her. She was so sweet! We were pleased with our engagement photos and even took her out for cheese and wine.

We are not, however, pleased with our wedding pictures. To speak generally about them:
-There are a TON of blurry shots and I'm not talking soft, artsy pictures.
-The group shots are either crowded or have very strong light coming in from one side that wash out the group.
-I received NO pictures of my groom by himself. (After some prodding, she handed over one in which he's cut off- amateur move when you're shooting digital)

When we told her our concerns, she emailed us a rude and condescending response. She took no responsibility for her mistakes.

My husband is very upset by the whole thing and doesn't even want to look at our wedding pictures. There are pictures that I DO LOVE (they're our wedding pictures after all!),but I don't feel comfortable recommending her.

UPDATE: Beth threatened to sue us for defamation after I posted this exact review.

We just loved everything about our photos Beth Beljon took for us! We had a Mormon ceremony so she wasn't in the church ceremony portion but before and after that she was clicking photos by the hundreds...It was such an incredible day and I hope every couple has such an awesome day like Dan and I did. I know Beth added so much to our happy experience.
All the hundreds and I mean literally hundreds of photos she shot were perfect, meaningful, beautiful and stunning. We were so happy to have spent a little more on our photography than planned because you can't take back that day without having beautiful photos to remind you. Beth made is so enjoyable for us and our crazy big families we can't thank her enough!

I couldn't have been happier with Beth. This was the happiest and the sadist time of my life. The photos she took we'll cherish and cherish not only because they are incredible, amazing and beautiful but because they were the last photos taken of my mother. We lost her to leukemia two weeks after our wedding. It was such a miracle that she could even attend the wedding. Beth made it extra special by accommodating all our needs, relocating areas for photos to keep my mother comfortable. Beth's warm soul and kind nature made the photography experience easy and wonderful. We wanted so many photos of my mom and all of us together and Beth went above and beyond. Her kind, patient nature was so appreciated. Beth even donated a portion of her photography fees to charity for our family. She also went out of her way to put together a special slide show for us at no additional cost and printed extra photos as a gift to give to all my mom's siblings. The amazing wedding photos she took of my new husband and I with my family are so touching. Although it is still painful to look at all of them, I am sure there will be a day that I can without feeling sad. My mom was my best friend and Beth was the last person to document our time together that I will forever be grateful.

I was so happy to have Beth Beljon photograph our wedding. I was familiar with her lovely work. She was referred to me a few times from family members and our venue. My husband and I had the best experience and we received wonderful photos! I just simply love them. I feel she is extremely talented and professional. My friends and family loved having her at the wedding. I highly recommend her!!

When I was planning my wedding almost (3 years ago) I was doing a lot of traveling back and forth to Australia and life was crazy, I didn't have tons of time to hunt down lots of photographers but came across Beth's website and when I spoke with her we connected immediately over Jonathan Adler (before he become hugely popular). After meeting her I knew I had made the right decision. I am a designer and formally the creative scout for Abercombie and Fitch corp. so I have a nose for great talent.

Beth was one step ahead of me when planning the photography portion, she is very detailed oriented, prompt and organized. We have gotten soooo much attention with our wedding photos especially after being published in a major LA wedding publication, thanks to Beth. The photos are stunning and we never get tired of looking at them. It's amazing all the incredible candid photos she captured of my friends and family that totally speaks of their personalities. She made the whole experience simple and highly enjoyable. Beth went above and beyond. When a photographer of her caliber makes it look easy, that's a true talented artist. In fact, we are expecting a little girl in the next few months and Beth will be the first to photograph our new family. We can't wait!!

We JUST booked with Beth and we are super excited. We really love her eye! I work in advertising and my-husband-be is a photography freak working in the music/film industry. He is very picky so we were ecstatic that we found her, what a gem I must say... We are completely confident that she'll do a wonderful job. We contacted all of her references and everyone said how much they loved their photos and Beth's relaxed, passionate but professional nature.

We just melted when we saw our photos for the first time! It was like watching a romantic movie. We decided to hire Beth and not a video person because the way she shoots is very cinamatic. We scoured for weeks interviewing photographers and there were some very talented ones out there but once we met with Beth we knew it would be a great fit. We didn't order any of the albums so I don't have a comment about her albums. But I sort of wished we did. Our wedding was in Scottsdale so the other vendors aren't listed here. But would like to say our coordinator was specacular too. The Mondrian was the only venue we wanted to have our wedding and wanted the essence to come through with the photography and boy did it. There was no complaints to mention it was a flawless experince with the photography and the rest of all of it. As a photographer I noticed that Beth finds the beauty is all of the wedding aspects. She has such a pleasant personality and calmness that made us feel the same and I think that can help when your very nervous about your day. I asked her why she is so calm and she says that she has a strong yoga practise so I guess that helps. We would like to highly recommend her, it was such a pleasant experience to have her at our wedding taking pictures and even working with her at the beginning of the planning stage and after the wedding.

We absolutely LOVE , LOVE, LOVE our wedding photos that Beth Beljon took for us. We just received them before the holidays and couldn't be more thrilled! If I could give her 10 stars I would. We currently live in Waverly, UK but I am originally from Calf. so it was a stressful planning a wedding from abroad. Beth was so very helpful, patient and professional; we actually had another photographer booked but ate the cost of the deposit and decided to hire her. Her package prices were out of our original budget but in hindsight so worth every penny to have someone with her talent and professionalism create spectacular wedding photos.

Beth Beljon did an incredible job shooting our wedding. She was able to capture all the moments we were afraid we would miss and all the details we want to remember forever. She was exceptionally efficient and unobtrusive, yet somehow caught each and every touching moment. Our photos are exactly what we wanted--relaxed, classic, effortless and absolutely beautiful. Beth has been a pleasure to work with after the wedding as well, as we try to select the photos for our album (which is no easy task when you have so many favorites). She has worked especially hard to put our photos online in an accessible and easy to format for all our family and friends to enjoy. I trust her professional judgment completely and have no doubt that our finished album will be as amazing as the prints.

We located Beth through The Ritz Carlton and by far our favorite vendor. I was delighted to find out that she had shot 2 of my other good girlfriends weddings. My husband and I not only were blown away by our photos by capturing moments I never even saw in our video (not very pleased). You can't help but really like her, my guests raved about her kind, calm energy. (My mom is her biggest fan) But Beth was EVERYWHERE not missing a beat. Her professionalism and artistic style photographing a wedding we believe ranks tops!
