Bethel Bakery

We had a groomsmen cake (decorated as a tuxedo and the cake was marble with butter cream filling) and a wedding cake. First off, My father made the comment that the tuxedo cake was the most beautifully decorated cake he had ever seen. Unfortunately, he was the only one who saw it because it was soon dismantled in the back and served by The Summit Inn. I truly wish it had been on display because Bethel Bakery did such a fabulous job. My wedding cake was also very beautiful. Out of all my pre-wedding activities, choosing the wedding cake was by far the most fun. Best bakery I have ever and will ever use!

Bethel Bakery created an absolutely beautiful cake that everyone at the wedding was amazed by. They were extremely organized, professional and easy to work with in the planning phase. The cake itself was actual BETTER on the wedding day, than we had at the tasting! We received compliments from many guests and we are so thrilled we chose such as class act for our special day. They may not be the cheapest bakery in town, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. If you want exceptional service and a quality, delicious wedding cake, you CANNOT GO WRONG WITH BETHEL BAKERY!!!!!

We went to Bethel with only a thought in mind of how we wanted our cake to look. We couldnt find examples or anything else to give them just pieced looks from a bunch of different cakes. Needless to say we were worried about the outcome.However when we walked into the room and saw the cake for the first time it was breathtaking. It was the picture in our mind actually created. Let alone from the look the taste was fantastic. This is by far in our opinion the best bakery in Pittsburgh.

Our wedding cake from Bethel Bakery was gorgeous. We have gotten birthday cakes from Bethel for years, and its my father in laws absolute favorite cake, so there was no question where we were going for our wedding cake. I was just as impressed with the simple design as I was with the quality and taste of the cake. You can't go wrong with Bethel Bakery!

I grew up eating Bethel Bakery for every birthday that I can remember, and knew I needed a Bethel Bakery wedding cake. It was included with our reception site package and were able to chose from a selection of designs. We went with the white cake and mango filling. Great for a summer wedding and their signature butter cream icing is the best! The cake was perfect and lived up to expectations. It looked wonderful and tasted even better!! Can't wait to eat the top layer on our year anniversary!

They do lovely work! We had white cake with alternating layers of mango and cookies and cream fillings. People loved it!

Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we envisioned! Everyone raved about how delicious it was. We had almond white cake with raspberry and chocolate between the layers....yum! The staff at Bethel Bakery was extremely nice and easy to work with. Can't wait to eat the top teir on our anniversary!!

I can recognize a Bethel Bakery cake by how it looks since they've been at almost every social function I've ever been to in the South Hills. Our cake was fun and awesome and apparently delicious, although I only got a small bite of it when we were doing the cake cutting. (Wedding's are busy!) It was easy and an enjoyable experience to pick the design out, it got there in one piece and everybody loved it. It was one of them most expensive items we got though, but I think it was a better value than the limo!

Perfect Cake and Cookies. I recommend the Mango filling, yum!

Excellent service from tasting to delivery! We went with cupcakes for our wedding and Bethel Bakery delivered on time. Everything was perfect and we heard from our guest how much the loved them! Definitely recommend them for any wedding or event!

I grew up in Bethel Park, and so I knew long before I even got engaged that my wedding cake would come from Bethel Bakery. They were so great to work with, and all of the cakes we tasted were so delicious- It was hard to choose. We went with the white cake with mago filling and buttercream icing, so delicious. The cake was a bit pricey, but well worth it. All of our guests raved about how beuatiful and delicious the cake was. Thank you Bethel Bakery!

We really didn't have a choice about going with Bethel Bakery because the cake was included with our reception hall. But, even if I did have a choice we still would have went with them! Our wedding cake was so delicious. It looked so beautiful. We got so many compliments on it. We also got our cake topper from them. I just call and order it over the phone and they bring it with the cake! I have dealt with Bethel Bakery since I graduated high school. We almost didn't wait to eat the top of our cake, but we are. I highly recommend Bethel Bakery for any occasion!

It's Bethel Bakery - what else needs to be said??!!!! In case you DO need more - their cake is the best you will find anywhere!! Our wedding cake was GORGEOUS and DELICIOUS!!! White cake with mango filling - perfect for a summer wedding! I can't wait to enjoy the top tier on our anniversary! In addition to the cake, the staff is easy to work with, very accommodating and very pleasant.

Bethel Bakery gave us the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake that we could have asked for! We received so many compliments on our cake from our family and friends! We had a winter wedding and our theme was snowflakes and pine cones. They put both on the cake and it was so georgous!

Awesome cake - got soooooo many complements on it. Not only beautiful, but tasty as well. Had several guests comment, this is the first Wedding cake we have ever had that actually tastes good. Got the almond batter with Raspberry filling. Amazing. Timeless design, with ribbon (bakery worked with me for ribbon that matched my centerpieces) and got flowers from florist to compliment because sugar flowers would not show up in hot pink.Awesome!

Bethel Bakery was fabulous in working with us to create the perfect cake for our budget. The end product was breathtaking, not to mention delicious! We received many compliments on the presentation & flavor.The only issue we ran into whatsoever was with the cake topper.. they have rather strict requirements for size and weight of the topper, so that the integrity of the cake isn't damaged by what you're putting on top. We couldn't find any toppers we liked within the requirements. But when we found one that was pretty close, they were willing to take a look at it and let us know if they could work around it. They could! They also pretty closely matched our hard-to-replicate wedding colors.Highly recommended!

Bethel Bakery gave us the most beautiful cake. I'm an artist so I had to have my hand in designing every part of the wedding. Our cake was no exception. Bethel Bakery was great with accommodating my design preferences and the cake came out beautifully!What I really liked, was in the days leading up to our wedding, they were working on designing for the cake. Bethel Bakery CALLED ME and told me they had a concern with the color ribbon I wanted on the cake (chocolate brown). That they've had problems in the past with it darkening in areas from the butter cream. She made a suggestion to darken the ribbon and I used her suggestion. I just thought it was WONDERFUL that she called to ask me what I thought! VERY CONSIDERATE.The cake was beautiful. It matched the theme of the wedding PERFECTLY. Oh, and it tasted pretty damn good too ;-)

They made the most beautiful cake that actually tasted delicious. Many wedding cakes look beautiful but dont taste good. Our guests loved the cake and though it was gorgeous! They were also reasonably priced.

The cake was beautiful and delicious. I wish I got more than one bite of it! Because of their excellent reputation they were a bit pricey and we had to settle for a smaller cake to stay within our budget. I still wouldn't change it, though!

Everyone commented about how beautiful and delicious our weddign cake was! I loved our filling/cake so much that I got a cake in the same flavor for my birthday. We also got cookies for our cookie wedding which again were amazing. There were people at the cookie table all night!

Cathy did my wedding cake and I also had them do my grooms cake. They were the most incredible cakes I've ever had. It was decorated so nicely, and she even worked with me on letting me bring in my own ribbon to use. I can not wait till my 1 year anniversary to dip into the top layer

We had a fabulous Bethel Bakery cake. The selection process was so easy, and we were able to mix up our tiers with square and round shapes for a fun look. The cake itself was so beautiful and was one of the best wedding cakes I have ever tasted. Fantastic vendor!

We had a very simple cake and it was done to our liking. I felt that the cake was overpriced, though, who doesn't overprice wedding cakes. I would say that the cake choice was not as tasty as could be, though the appearance of the cake was nice.

Since I've been eating Bethel Bakery cakes and pastries all my life, it was a no-brainer to book Bethel Bakery for my wedding. I booked about 3 months before my wedding. I went on several appointments to try to get ideas about what I wanted for my cake and in each of the appointments they were very professional and gave me some good ideas on how to get exactly want I wanted. They do one appointment with cake-tasting. The other appointments were mostly for me as I had a hard time figuring out which design I wanted as all of their designs are beautiful! The craftsmanship of their cakes and the flavors of their cake are far more superior to a few other bake shops that I went to in the area.When I saw my cake on wedding day, I was blown away! It was so amazing and flawless. It looked like fondant, but it was buttercream! It was more beautiful in person than the photo I saw of it on their website. I chose the Ring of Roses cake. Kudos, to their bakers. And the taste was incredibly delicious. All of my guests were delighted that they were eating Bethel Bakery cake!I highly recommend them for wedding cake...and groom's cake...and bridal shower cake (it was mango filled - yum!) and for wedding cookies which I've eaten in the past.

Bethel Bakery provided our cake through the Sheraton. I was very pleased with the design, and especially the taste! They provided plenty of samples at our tasting and everything else was effortless on my part - a great vendor to work with, they have this down!

Bethel Bakery has a relationship where they do the cakes for the Hyatt Regency. At first I was a little nervous about having them tell me who to use, but Bethel Bakery is extremely professional and did a wonderful job on our cake. It was also nice knowing that delivery and all of that were taken care of by the hotel.

Amazing. Simply amazing. So many choices, so flexible for what you want, and willing to create something new if they don't have exactly what you want. The cake was beautiful, and I actually had a cake from them at my bridesmaid luncheon, and they were able to put the charms into the cake for us while they were baking it. They were truly helpful and I loved my cake.

This bakery really knows what they're doing! The fresh strawberries were a beautiful touch that really accented the delicious white cake. I was really pleased with the whole experience with Bethel Bakery.

They worked with us for hours until we designed the perfect cake. They're extremely patient and willing to put every ounce of effort into making sure that you are 110% satisfied. Our cake turned out perfect and was one of the best things about our wedding was seeing the cake!

I loved our cake from Bethel Bakery. It tasted great and looked great as well. They made the cake to look exactly as I had imagined it. I thought the prices were a little expensive, but with very few vendors in the area, they can get away with the cost. I was also a little annoyed that they would not put my cake topper on my cake before the guests arrived and I had to do it myself later. They gave very specific requirements for the cake topper that I was sure to meet. Overall, I found it to be a very easy and pleasant experience working with Bethel Bakery. I would recommend them to brides-to-be. A quick tip: Go for a smaller version of your wedding cake and buy the cheaper look alike sheet cakes to serve your guests.

The cake was so gorgeous it looked fake. It was amazing, we had a marble cake with cookies and cream filling and it's all everyone could talk about!

The wedding cake was just beautiful and I received many comments about how good it tasted. Bethel Bakery dyed the icing flowers to match the bridesmaid dress color and delivered it to my reception hall. They were very responsive to my questions and if I had to do it over again, without hesitation I would order the cake from them.

Cake turned out beautifully. They don't have very many options in styles, but the cakes taste awesome! We had marble with raspberry filling. Incredible!!! You can get creative with your style though. We put black ribbon arond the bottom of the tiers and had burgundy dotted swiss on the cake. Our cake topper was made up of 3 red calla lilies and silver wire all around them...turned out gorgeous!

Every bride says their wedding cake was the most beautiful wedding cake ever. I had numerous guests whom asked if the cake was fake because it "looked too perfect." We selected a three tiered stacked cake with delicate ivy and roses trailing down the sides. It was simple and gorgeous. We had orange and almond flavored cake with buttercream icing. Very delicious! My only pet peeve was that they charged us a $30 delivery fee because we got married on a Friday. But overall, great cake at a great price.

I've always loved Bethal Bekary and was more then happy to use them for my wedding. The cake was lovely, exactly what my husband and I wanted and everyone loved it.

I have grown up on Bethel Bakery and I vowed that they would do my wedding cake. The cake was wonderful. I designed it myself and they followed it to a T - from the aqua shimmery icing to the 5 different flavors. yes they are a little on the pricey side, but the service and flavor is great. I do have one suggestion - they need to up the variety of styles and available flavors because our society has really progressed in this area. warning - If you are looking for something truly funky and are not able to design it yourself you should look elsewhere because they tend to be on the more elegant/classic side.

The cake was delicious, I use Bethel Bakery for every special occassion. I ended up changing my cake a couple of weeks before and they didn't get mad or charge me for changing it or anything. Awesome service.

This is a mixed-review. On the one hand, they were incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming. The cake-testing was awesome. However, the flowers on my cake turned out to be the wrong color, and the fillings were also wrong in our top tier. The ONLY thing my husband wanted out of the entire wedding experience was his preferred cake filling, and he didn't get it. So that was disappointing. I thought their price was very affordable, but we also didn't get what we paid for entirely, so . . .

My cake turned out beautifully, but it sure did cost me. I custom designed every detail of the cake, and though one of the colors was slightly off it was recreated beautifully. It was delicious and fun to look at, but much more expensive than a lot of the competition.If you do go with them make sure you get their butter cream icing. It's what they're known for, and why they are more $$. I had a mixture of fondant and fudge icing on mine and though it looked awesome but I missed the butter cream.

Incredibly delicious and original cakes. Couldn't have been happier with the service. They aren't the most inexpensive cakes in the city but if your having a large wedding there are ways to work around it. In the end I had a square three tiered cake but the majority of the guests recieved slices from the birthday cakes we purchased. The cut looks the same but birthday cakes are much less expensive. So if your budget is getting tight opt for a smaller decorative cake and use the birthday cakes as a substitute.

The cake was sooo good! I recommend the mango filling. It doesn't overpower the cake and make its taste lighter and more refreshing. The bakery is very clean and bright and everyone I spoke to there was super nice.

Bethel Bakery has been a staple for my family for as long as I can remember. Every birthday or special event that happened throughout my life has been celebrated with a cake from Bethel Bakery, so there was no question as to where my wedding cake was coming from. Their selection was not as extensive as I would have hoped but their eagerness to create the perfect cake for me was welcomed. I had a very simple cake but there were specific details that I was most focusod on, including the fine pattern on each of the layers. They were 100% receptive of my ideas and had the technology needed for me to get specific information to them as I was planning my wedding from Virginia. They are wonderful and I can't tell you how many compliments I got on my cake!!

We had a red velvet wedding cake that was just amazing! The frosting wasn't hard and gross like most wedding cakes and the customized it to exactly what we wanted. We were very happy!

We had a beatiful cake in the shape of a wedding gown. We got to save it and eat the top for our first anniversary...it still was delicious!

They will make whatever you want as long as you are willing to pay for it. I had a 3 tier chocolate cake with buttercream icing covered in coconut. As far as I can remember, it did cost extra for coconut but it was what we wanted and Declicious!

Our wedding cake was fabulous. They have so many choices but I mostly wanted something simple and elegant. I was especially impressed with our personal baker. We met with her and told her what we wanted. We got to try several samples, which was fun. And she was very responsive to our requests. We indicated that my parents and probably a majority of the wedding guests preferred one flavor while my groom and I liked another that was a little more exotic. She suggested that we have our top layer (our one-year anniversary layer) as the flavor we liked and the rest of the cake be the other one. This worked out well and amazingly that cake one year later was delicious! Also, b/c we had a relatively large number of guests, we decided to do a sheet cake to save on cost. Another great idea. We even ended up doing a groom's cake for my husband--which he loved b/c it had an actual photo of his favorite baseball player on it.Overall, my experience with Bethel Bakery was fantastic and the cake was yummy. :-)

Bethel Bakery is the "go-to" place for wedding cakes. Their trademark doves and their light icing is amazing and always delicious. Whenever anyone asks about wedding cake, the first question I ask them is, "Have to tried Bethel Bakery?"And, if you just want something that's NOT a wedding cake, you can't beat them for that, either!

Bethel Bakery has got to be one of the best if not the best cakes around. We used them for our wedding and we tell every bride to use them that we photograph. Great cake, great people and great prices.
