Everyone says that finding a DJ for your wedding is the hardest thing to do and it couldn’t be truer. From the start, I knew that the DJ was going to be the most important part of our reception. I must have contacted over 20 DJs and filtered them out after emails and face to face meetings. Most were too corny or too pushy. Then I spoke to Mick from Better Music Services. He had the experience, the personality and the knowledge that every DJ should have (but doesn’t). He really tried to get to know me and my husband as opposed to pressuring me to book him. Plus, you can’t beat his prices! He gives you more for your money and is willing to work with you to plan a timeline for your reception. He offers suggestions but always leaves the decisions up to you.On our wedding day, Mick was everything I could have hoped for and more! He helped the flow of the reception with the music he played. His song choices were so good, we had to tweak our timeline because our guests were dying to dance! During our meal, people were turning to me and my husband telling us how wonderful our DJ is. Even though I only had around 60 guests, the dance floor was never empty. Everyone from my 2 year old niece to my 84 year old great aunt made it on the dance floor! The music was at the perfect volume so people could still speak to each other without having to shout. Mick also had to cater to a Mexican, American and English crowd which he did flawlessly. Whenever I speak to someone who was at my wedding, they always comment on how amazing our DJ was. I was at a wedding in London and a guest that was at my wedding said ‘I still can’t stop raving about your DJ.’ The fact that my wedding was 3 months ago and our guests are still talking about him, says a lot! Mick was an awesome DJ at my wedding at Il Cielo. I had never met Mick in person until my actually wedding as my husband and I live outside of the country, but honestly he was so great there was no need. Planning a wedding from afar was difficult, but Mick was so great on our phone calls and he played the exact type of music my husband and I asked for and more. He took requests from the guests and played great music from the start to finish that the dance floor was full even before dinner was served. Mick isn't the cheesy DJ at all, he doesn't take over the show with jokes and cheesy dance songs, but he stays quite hidden so people don't even see him. My guests kept commenting how great my DJ was, and I would honestly use him again and recommend him to anyone.

Mick was fantastic during all the planning up to the wedding. He was very meticulous about creating the right atmosphere that we wanted for our wedding. He also really seemed to enjoy the fact that my husband was going to write the ceremony music and discussed with him, in detail, about how it would play out.

During the wedding (which took place in 3 locations) he was careful to balance the music to set the correct ambiance in each place. Also he was very friendly with our guests when they would request songs.

The only mark against him, which seems like it was a technical error was the song for Bride's Entrance to the ceremony. Knowing how hard my husband worked on writing the music cue I was heart broken for him when I walked up in the aisle in silence. The cue started too early and wasn't long enough and instead of looping the entire song, like he told my husband he would do, he looped the last note several times and then just faded the song out... this is before I approached the aisle. In our wedding video all our guests heads were turned and they were whispering to each other about their being something wrong with the music. Again, it was probably a technical error but it was the one cue you really want to make sure happens right. The rest of the wedding was flawless...

Mick was great. He even suggested a great instrumental version of In My Life to use for my processional music during the ceremony. He and his assistant kept things moving and kept the dance floor full all night. His pricing is reasonable too. I would recommend.

Jarrod from Better Music was our DJ and he was truly PERFECT! From the sound system to the music to the announcing...the whole wedding went smoothly and EVERYONE HAD A BLAST! Thank you so much Jarrod! You ROCK!!!

Mick from Better Music was a great DJ for our wedding at Il Cielo. He was generous with his time as we discussed our music needs, and he was very receptive to our special requests. He was also great about taking song requests from our guests (as long as they didn't go against our do/don't list) because we made it very clear we wanted everyone dancing and having fun! I have so many wonderful things to say about what Mick did for us at our wedding. We truly had no idea how important a DJ really is at a wedding. He ran everything so smoothly and ensured that the music was perfect at each moment. Everyone had such a wonderful time. The music he played was perfect at every moment. We can't wait to have another party so that he can come DJ for us.

Mick was great, we used him because another of our friends used him at their wedding. Totally helped me set up the order of what was going to happen after the ceremony, the first dance, the father-daughter dance etc. We thought he was completely worth it.
