I would highly recommend Nia for wedding makeup and hair. At first, I wasn't sure about hiring one person to do both makeup and hair, as most hairstylists are not makeup artists, and vice-versa. I will just say that after my trial with Nia, the look on my fiance's face was PRICELESS and he said, "You ARE going to hire her, right?" :) I felt very confident that I was in good hands with Nia.

She brought her sister as her assistant, and they were both extremely pleasant, calm, and focused. Nia totally got the look I was going for and I was so happy with both my makeup and my hair. I love that she is a perfectionist and wanted to make sure everything looked beautiful and that I was happy. Her sister, with Nia's occasional guidance, did a gorgeous job on my sister's makeup. She loved it, and they happily re-did her hair when she wasn't quite sure it was the right look for her the first time. She ended up looking simply stunning at the wedding!

I loved that Nia uses airbrush foundation, and my skin felt light and soft even though I was wearing pretty heavy coverage. Nia and her sister have a great sense of what looks good on each person and they did a great job on my bridesmaids as well. They were on time and had very professional attitudes. Another wonderful thing about Nia is that unlike most vendors, she did not charge exhorbitantly high fees just because the event was a wedding. I appreciated her fairness - it's a rare quality in the wedding industry.

Like most brides, I decided to the do trial with Nia before the wedding. Everything came out beautifully! On the wedding day she was on time and everything went exactly as planned. And even my mom loved getting her hair & makeup done by Nia. She has a very soft demeanor. Nia is fabulous. She was easy to talk to. She always called right back.She is very patinet and is willing to spend extra time to discuss with you about what you want/like and what fits you. You couldn't have asked for anyone better. She is quite possibly the very best SF bay area has to offer. Her prices are EXTREMELY reasonable. To be honest with you... I told her she needs to raise her prices. Her quality of work is worth A LOT more than what she is charging. Good Luck to all the brides! But if you contact Nia you will not need it. You are in GREAT hands!

I love Nia! She is SUCH a cool person - very personable, honest and a ton of fun, not to mention incredibly talented. Her prices are very reasonable. We all had such a good time getting ready with her. She's exactly the type of person you want to surround yourself with when getting ready for the wedding. HIGHLY recommmended!

Nia made be look better than I have ever looked in my life. She is magic with hair and makeup!! My husband cried when he saw me after my trial with Nia, because he said I looked so beautiful. At the wedding he could not stop telling me how breathtaking I was, so did the other guests...all because of Nia!!! Nia is not only the very best at what she does, she has a very calming effect with her personality, which is wonderful to have on a wedding day. I had 8 bridesmaids, so Nia brought another stylist, who also did a fantastic job. Nia is also very prompt with e-mails, and was early the day of the wedding so you will never be stressed out working with her. I recommend her completely, you will be so happy with her work. She is the best!

I was really nervous about getting my hair and make-up done. My friend was apart of a wedding party a few months back and she went through Beyond Beauty. She had so many great things to say about Nia so I asked for a trail with her. She is truly honest and very patient. As a bride, you want to look the best and feel beautiful, and that is exactly how Nia made me look and feel. We tried many different looks and she didn't mind at all. I booked her for my wedding and she did an amazing job, not to mention, my entire wedding party looked fabulous. I was very very satisfied. I highly recommended Nia from Beyond Beauty.

Nia is really good at what she does and the make-up in pictures/ real-life looks amazing and never too fake or cakey. She did my wedding make-up for 2 nights and I received sooo many compliments. Her personality is awesome and makes you super comfortable (even if you are a Bride-zilla).
I will continue to refer her to my friends and family who need an artist for weddings, parties, or photo shoots!!

Nia was an absolute pleasure to work with. I got married in October,2008. From our first conversation she couldn't have been more genuine. Nia was so efficient in returning my calls/text messages and helping with whatever else a nervous bride might need. About 3 months before the wedding, I met with Nia to do my makeup trial. I felt like the two of us clicked immediately. She had such a warm and inviting personality, not to mention she did a beautiful job. She truly made me feel like a princess. The makeup looked so natural.
The day of the wedding she couldn't have been more flexible and accommodating. From day one, Nia reassured me that she could be at my hotel the day of the wedding whatever time I needed her to be there. She did makeup for about 6 of my family member/bridal party. Everyone looked amazing. I don't even think that she realized as she was doing everyone's makeup that she was helping to keep us calm and relaxed. Once again, I felt like a princess. The makeup came out beautiful and I love looking at my wedding pictures.
I also had the pleasure of working with Nia when she did my makeup for photo session. Once again, she was so accommodating and did an amazing job. She helped to make me feel beautiful and confident.
You can't beat the combination of her skill and personality. Recently, she did makeup for my sister-in-law's wedding and everyone was extremely pleased with their results. I would recommend Nia Quraishi to anyone!!
