Dan is a fabulous DJ! He asked for a play list prior to the wedding and stuck with it, playing the songs at the appropriate time. He was a perfect master-of-ceremonies without making himself the center of attention. I will certainly call upon him again for other events.

Dan Goldman was our DJ and we also used Dan's new photobooth for our wedding. My husband was interested in music more than anything else in the wedding, so I let him pick our DJ. He was impressed immediately with Dan's professionalism and music knowledge. I was really excited to get two vendors in one with the use of the photobooth. Dan kept the party going all night and struck the right tones with cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Everyone LOVED the photobooth and the guestbook that involved taking a copy of the photostrips and writing their notes next to it. All around it was a great night and my feet were killing me at the end from all the dancing, which is a clear sign that I couldn't stay off the dance floor. Thanks, Dan!

We worked with both DJ Derek Romanoff and St Charles String Quartet. We were very happy with both services.

Derek Romanoff exceeded our expectations throughout the preparation and at our wedding reception. We are an older couple who had lots of family members and friends of all ages attend. Derek kept our reception on track and played music that had most of our guests up and "rockin." His timing of announcements and introductions was as good as it gets and we had many compliments about his work. Kudos, Derek and Bialek for this fabulous support!

DJ Dan Goldman was the absolute best! We were a bit nervous when we started searching for DJs as we wanted to have Arabic music (Debke) and popular American music, but wanted to keep everyone on the dance floor. We knew he was THE DJ for our wedding from the moment we met him. His sense of humor and excitement about blending Arabic and American music really eased our initial nervousness. DJ Dan made everything leading up to our wedding so easy - he provide an online application for us to submit the songs/type of music we wanted played for the major moments (e.g. processional, cocktail hour, reception entrance, cake cutting, etc.). Since we wanted to include Arabic music I had my mother-in-law compile a list of links to Youtube videos of some good Arabic songs just to give him a taste of what we wanted. He did an amazing job! The ceremony and cocktail hour music was perfect and literally EVERYONE danced through the entire reception. All of our guests are still raving about how well he blended all of the different types of music and kept everyone from age 7 to 77 dancing all night! We highly recommend DJ Dan from Bialek's!!!

We used both our band, Doctor's Orders, and our ceremony musicians, a String Quartet, through them, and they were both awesome. Ray Bialek is funny and super helpful, and they have such a wonderful selection of musicians. HIGHLY recommended!

DJ Brennan Sullivan was awesome at our wedding on April 14, 2012! Have you ever tried to hire the DJ yourself to play longer at someone else's wedding? I know I haven't, but I've learned that that's exactly what our guests did because they were having so much fun! DJ Brennan was extremely professional and responsive during the planning process, providing us with information that helped us make the perfect music selections for our ceremony and reception. It was clear that he took the time to prepare for our wedding, reviewing, not only our song choices, but also the time line we had set out for the reception. He confirmed songs and artists with us before the ceremony, and located songs that we had chosen that he did not have in his library at the time. He then made announcements and played the right songs at all the right times. DJ Brennan is such a personable guy and I can't imagine another DJ/MC that could have fit in with our group of friends better.

MOB: Dan Goldman provided music for the ceremony and reception and also provided a photobooth. Dan listened to the Bride and fulfilled her vision for the ceremony music (very non-traditional). Later Dan got the party started! .... and he kept it going/dancing until last dance. His photobooth (and assistant) was a HIT. We asked guests to use one of their photostrips for the guest book .... and the guests signed good wishes and words of wisdom next to their photobooth pics.

I can not say enough great things about Bialek's Music, and specifically about DJ Dan Goldman! He is by far the best wedding DJ I've ever heard - and I've been to a ton of weddings. Dan was so responsive to my requests and questions and helped make planning the music a breeze. My husband (fiance at the time) and I met with Dan and were immediately impressed. He knew his stuff and seemed calm and confident, but not at all in an obnoxious way. We knew we wanted the music to be absolutely fantastic at our wedding, as we both come from families that love to dance. Dan's music choices exceeded all of our expectations. Brennan provided a professional service that required little to no guidance from us on the wedding day (a huge plus!). DJ Brennan Sullivan was phenomenal at our wedding. We met with many DJs, but Brennan really stood out to us as highly professional, reliable, and flexible to what we needed from the very first meeting. He sent us many files at the beginning of the process to help us plan our event and gave us ideas for a good flow of events. Even the day before the wedding and the morning of the wedding, we called him up for last-minute changes, and he was very responsive and accommodating with everything we needed. His attention to detail was impressive...as he executed every little thing we wanted and more. We sent him a long list of songs we liked, and he did an amazing job picking the right songs at the right time that got everyone dancing all night. Even our relatives/grandparents that we've never seen dance before were on the dance floor! Think what speaks volumes is that we were originally wary that not too many people would be dancing, but the dance floor was packed for so long and people said they were having such a good time that we ended up asking Brennan to stay an extra hour so everyone could continue partying the night away. :) Needless to say, thanks to Brennan and the fabulous music, we had an unforgettable night.

Brennan Sullivan was the DJ for our wedding and he was fabulous... from start to finish. Brennan was super easy to work with as he is very organized and asks all of the right questions so you know that everything will be covered and just that way you want it for your wedding day. He asked me things that I didn't even think of! So I knew he was going to be super prepared. We gave him a list of songs that were some of our favorites and he played ALL of them- he also is like a magician when it comes to picking the right tunes- he knows just what the crowd wants to hear. He played the perfect during dinner music (some great Christmas tunes because we had a winter wedding!). I would totally use Brennan again not only for a wedding, but for any party. The next day, we thought and many people told us- that the wedding was perfect and that the DJ had something to do with it! He got EVERYONE (even the family members who NEVER dance!) out there dancing. Book Brennan with confidence for your wedding- he is super friendly, organized AND knows just what music to play!

We contracted DJ Brennan Sullivan's services through Bialek's Music. From our first meeting with Brennan through the end of our wedding reception, he was very professional and responsive. During our pre-planning, he sent us sample play lists, timelines and songs to help us plan out the details of our reception. After we submitted our timeline and songs, he responded quickly with follow-up questions and advice.

On the day of our wedding, DJ Brennan Sullivan's did a great job managing the flow of the reception. He got our friends and family out on the dance floor and everyone had a wonderful time. We had the Calmes Trio for our ceremony music and Richard Baretto as our DJ for the reception. The Calmes Trio was booked as a surprise for my fiance (now husband) and Beth-Anne was very helpful with keeping their booking a secret until the moment he walked in to take his place at the altar. I think she was just excited as I was about the surprise. Her enthusiasm and positivity made working with her group a real pleasure. I would definitely work with them again. I met Richard at a Bridal Showcase at the hotel where my wedding and reception was held and wanted to book him on the spot. He was very charismatic and great fun as a DJ. My family was very pleased with his selections and the pacing of the music during the reception. Overall, I was extremely happy with Bialek's Music and would recommend them to anyone planning an event.

I highly recommend DJ Brennan Sullivan to any bride looking for a DJ! He was awesome!!! We couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He made sure to accommodate absolutely every request and thought that we had, and even assisted us in the planning process by helping us fine tune our schedule of events. DAN is THE MAN. We used DJ Dan Goldman for our wedding, and he was so easy to work with, so flexible, so professional, so chill, so such-a-great-DJ. I'm sure Dan can pull off many roles, but I wanted a DJ who would not be a large presence at the wedding, not loud or cheesy -- just a classy DJ who would mostly just blend into the party, like a ninja with a turntable. Dan was every part of this super classy, music-loving ninja I hoped for. I was also super picky about the music -- I gave him a spreadsheet of songs for the reception, a second spreadsheet for the dance party, plus instructions for unusual wedding party introductions. He was instantly on board, was cool with everything, and incorporated everything seamlessly at the wedding. Dan also has a lot of cool extras he can provide (photo booth, lighting, etc.) but he didn't try to hard-sell anything (can't tell you how much I appreciated that). All Dan wanted was: what we wanted. Thank you, Dan!!!!!

I've know Ray of Bialek's Music for over 10 years now. Ray is the best of the best... For years I knew I would jump at the opportunity to have Ray somehow be involved in my wedding! Ray himself made suggestions for DJ's that suited my now husband and I. We worked with Mike V. Super nice man! The day of our wedding- it was PERFECT! Mike handled our ceremony and reception. We had a super, super specific playlist and Mike nailed it... Mike was professional throughout the entire event and we were very pleased! We will continue to recommend Bialek's Music over and over again!!

We had a fantastic time at the wedding and it really reflected who we are as a couple.We received numerous comments that went like "this was the most fun wedding reception I've been to!". And to us the ambiance, music, etc. were key to setting the right atmosphere. We appreciate Brennan getting the hard-to-find music and playing as much of it as he could. We've received requests from some guests that they want a mix-tape from our wedding! We appreciate Brennan's professionalism and great work. If we ever needed a DJ/MC in the future, he would be our fist call and we highly recommend his services!

DJ David Grim from Bialek's Music was wonderful, so easy to work with and listened to the type of songs my husband and I requested. He also was great at moving between song styles. Everyone loved the music! He indicated that I could contact him at any time. Bialek's as a whole was very energetic and easy. I would gladly recommend them to anyone! As for the Cherry Blossom String quartet, the group was amazing -- again very professional and very good. I also received compliments on the quality of the music.

We worked with DJ Brennan from Bialek's Music and were absolutely thrilled with our experience. Both Brennan and the Bialek team were a pleasure to work with: flexible, highly responsive, open to our ideas and musical tastes. Really, I have nothing but positive things to say.

One of my concerns was that we would get a DJ and he would be out leading the electric slide or pushing corny dance songs. Instead, DJ Brennan took our suggestions and orchestrated the perfect evening: Louis Armstrong/Billie Holiday/Ella Fitzgerald jazz for the cocktail hour and dinner, family friendly dancing for the first hour until cake cutting, then more friend focused dancing for the rest of the night. As I said, Brennan did just that: he read our crowd perfectly and even had our "I-don't-dance" friends out on the floor. It was great!

To given an example of how accommodating Brennan was, when we were contemplating a more unusual Afro-Cuban playlist during the cocktail hour, Brennan was more than happy to work with my CDs/playlists, even emailing me with information about what file format he needed, etc. He is a true professional and clearly enjoys making your wedding exactly how you would like it.

I'm always skeptical of completely positive reviews, but I'm struggling to find something in terms of constructive criticism. I suppose if his hourly rate was cheaper we would hire him for our annual Christmas party, but alas, he's a bit beyond our budget :-)

Do yourself a favor: hire DJ Brennan and cross "Find DJ" off your to-do list with piece of mind.

Bobby Walters was our DJ and emcee for the evening. I was a little disappointed he didn't have enough lapel mics for the ceremony, but he assured us everyone would be able to hear us- and he was right.

The dance floor was full all night- he asked all the right questions and made sure we were happy with the schedule and the flow of the evening.

This review is for DJ Brennan Sullivan. We met Brennan at local wedding show and we immediately knew we wanted to work with him. He was professional, friendly, thorough, and detail oriented from start to finish. Brennan was the most responsive of all the vendors we worked with and was creative in his approach (we did not want a traditional reception). He offered a wireless mic and set up of equipment for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. He was able to get and keep the crowd moving easily and everyone (both young and old) was happy with the music he selected. Brennan went above and beyond and we were thrilled with our decision to work with him! I would highly recommend him for weddings or any other occasion-he is the best!

Brennan Sullivan DJ'ed at our wedding. We had a great experience with him, he was extremely helpful to us in just giving us music ideas and input on when we should do things at the wedding. He was so responsive in emails, and just a really friendly person. After the wedding we got lots of compliments on how good of a job he did/the music he played. We couldn't have been more satisfied with Bialek's Music and Brennan, I would recommend him to anyone!

Brennan Sullivan was the DJ for our wedding and we had a great experience with him. Throughout the entire process, Brennan was extremely helpful and very responsive. We looked long and hard to find the right DJ for our wedding. We wanted someone who would keep everyone dancing throughout the evening (and our wedding guests spanned ages 16 - 84) and who would really create the right atmosphere for our celebration. We called countless vendors and interviewed several companies, but the first time we met DJ Brennan we knew we had found the right fit.

DJ Brennan was the best possible DJ that we could find. More than a DJ, he proved to be our Master of Ceremonies for our Wedding Reception. His mastery and understanding of the mood at the reception kept our guests of all ages for the entire evening - which is exactly what we wanted. Every one of our guests (even my elderly aunt) stayed until the very end because they were having so much fun. DJ Brennan was also wonderful about working with us ahead of time and providing his skilled insight into the best possible flow of the evening - from first dances, to toasts, to cake cutting. As an Events Manager myself, I know how important good flow can be. DJ Brennan made ours flawless with minimal interruption to the festivities and most importantly the dancing. Finally DJ Brennan was able to accommodate everyone at the receptions musical tastes with a perfect mix of music from the 60's, 70's, 80's. 90's and today. Everyone at the party was able to identify with music at one point or another during the night and no one sat down for more than 10 minutes. The most notable aspect of the music diversity was that DJ Brennan perfectly melded in the various generations of music in order to make every one feel that their music selections were well represented. I would MOST happily recommend DJ Brennan to anyone that is looking for a professional, personable, and talented DJ for any event, but particularly for weddings. A good DJ can make your wedding reception and I 100% give DJ Brennan two thumbs up and 5 stars!!!

We hired Derek on the recommendation of a friend and an endorsement from the woman who manages the DAR - they were both so positive we didn't even look at other DJs when he said he was free. And we were definitely not disappointed.


Derek was extremely responsive over email and just has such a positive, organised air about him that we were confident from the beginning. We met him in person a few weeks before the wedding and came away with the same impression. He knows his music and is great with gauging the mood (the dance floor never emptied once we started) but he is also really flexible and responsive to what we were looking for. It felt like he coordinated the wedding more than our day-of coordinator - he was always on top of the schedule and did a great job of announcing things - never coming off as cheesy.


Overall we LOVED Derek and if there was only one vendor we could keep in the whole wedding it would probably be him.

DJ Brennan Sullivan is an awesome person to work with. Sage Strings plays beautifully and is also easy to work with. Dan provided some last-minute uplighting to the venue that really set off the look of the room. It was a wonderful event made better by Bialek's services.

I booked DJ Brennan Sullivan through Bialeks and he was an awesome DJ for our wedding. There's a reason why his name pops up in so many positive reviews. From the beginning, he was extremely responsive, organized and provided all the pre-wedding prep info immediately which really helped me for my planning process. I was very specific about my likes and dislikes and he really stuck to what I wanted to the point that one of my friends told me that she had requested a song by Earth, Wind and Fire and Brennan told her that he couldn't play anything earlier than 1980 which I knew was because I had specifically told him I didn't want music older than 80's... lol
He really went above and beyond to accommodate us and keep our guests dancing which was not an easy feat as I had a tough crowd at my wedding. Our guests were initially more interested in the open bar than the dance floor but Brennan was extremely patient in figuring out what would get the crowd going and we ended up with a full dance floor, singing along to the music at the end of the night! Overall, everyone, including my husband and I, had a great time at our reception and Brennan really worked to make it happen.

We heard about DJ Brennan Sullivan through a friend of ours who got married in DC last summer. She told us that her wedding reception was one giant dance party, which was exactly what we wanted! So when we had trouble finding a DJ for our wedding in Charlottesville, we crossed our fingers and called Bialek’s to see if Brennan would be willing to make the two hour drive to Charlottesville to DJ our wedding on a holiday weekend - he was! We couldn’t believe our luck. To top it off, we found that a lot of out of town vendors tacked on a substantial fee for driving to Charlottesville, but not Brennan - he only requested a hotel room in our block and we happily obliged as we found that his rates were incredibly reasonable, even with the cost of the hotel room.

Throughout the wedding planning process, Brennan was great to work with. Our venue had some specific music volume requirements and Brennan was great at connecting with them directly to be sure everyone was on the same page before the big day. I can be a bit detail oriented and I actually sent Brennan a crazy three page list of songs and instructions and other details regarding our wedding ceremony and reception. Probably a bit over the top, but Brennan was so polite and gracious and told me not to worry, he would see to all the details...and he absolutely did.

The ONE thing that was super super important to me was our recessional song. I had this image in my head for the longest time about that moment when my husband and I were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. and a part of that vision included a special, fun and upbeat song to set the mood. Brennan hit the nail on the head with his timing and the moment was perfect! We couldn’t have been happier!

We had a specific “mood” in mind for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception and Brennan was great and helping us create that feel throughout the night. Of course the dance party was a major highlight for everyone and Brennan did an exception job of keeping the dance floor crowded! The older crowd had a blast as did all of our friends. It was an epic party. Thanks, Brennan!

We worked with Dan through Bialek's and could not have been happier! Dan really took the time to listen to what we wanted and really executed it for our wedding. His follow up time is great, and he would get back to us within 1 business day. All of our guests could not stop raving about how great he was and how awesome the photobooth he did for us was!!

Brennan Sullivan was a fantastic DJ! He was responsive throughout the entire process and his professionalism really stood out against other vendors. He worked with us to determine the best music for our crowd and the playlist really flowed with the dynamic of the people on the dance floor. We started with some great classic party hits that got all ages out dancing and toward the end of the night, as the older crowd said their goodbyes, he changed the music to fit the remaining crowd. Bialek's Music was wonderful to work with and they did a wonderful job at our wedding. They provided both ceremony music and the band for the reception. David Grimm was truly phenomenal on our wedding day. We had a multi-cultural wedding, where it was important to incorporate both of our backgrounds (Indian and American...Appalachian-type American). Well, let's back-track. Bialek Music was how I found David Grimm, but you don't have to go through Bialek to get to David. Nevertheless, Bialek is a larger company that has the insurance and resources in the event there is an issue and you need back-up. They are very responsive as an organization, and my day-of-planner knew them and recommended I seek out someone from there. I'm SO glad I did.

As a caveat, I loved ALL of my vendors (with exception to my florist)...but David really was incredible. He is professional, truly understands music (down to the right beats needed at different stages of your event) and like all DJ's, has access to a plethora of music. The thing about David Grimm is that he actually knows how to play several different instruments too. He loves the art of music, and has been to Cuba learning salsa music to India learning how to play the dhol (Indian drums). I wanted to hire a dhol player for my wedding anyway, as a surprise to my Indian guests, and when I found out that not only is he knowledgeable about latin music, he completely understood Indian music (and he's not Indian!!). WHAT!! He is the type of guy who loves to learn about different cultures and how music integrates itself into that. He did a great job mixing Indian and American music during our reception--truly seamless.

Our guests still rave about him too. He is one of those vendors that you can trust with little direction and still meet your needs. He asks all the right questions, is flexible for last minute changes (I changed the music I was going to walk down to the day before the wedding), and allows for guest requests (with your taste in mind, first and foremost). We just got our wedding day video, and literally, we got up off the couch to start dancing, we loved it so much! One thing that's important to note is if you have specific version of a song you want played, send to him and let him know if it has been modified/cut. He will always look for the better sound quality version through his database versus using your clip. We had our dance instructor cut our first dance song so we weren't on the floor for a long time. I told David about this song pretty close to our wedding date, and he got the song right, but I failed to notify him that the song was shortened/modified from its original, and to use what I sent. So, the day of, my husband and I were dancing, and realized it was much longer than we had planned---we made it out to be a joke that we couldn't dance, and everyone enjoyed it. Make the best of the hiccups...they're honestly not a big deal!

If it gives you any indication, I gave David Grimm the highest tip among all my vendors, beyond the standard because I thought he was exceptional and deserved to get paid more for the quality of service he provided. After our wedding, we had guests ask us for his contact information and make note that he was the best they'd ever seen. I kid you not. My vendors really liked working with him, and he did a great job announcing (in fact, he got all the complicated names and he really cares about knowing that), and is not cheesy at all. Very very professional.

If you truly want a professional out there, he's the one. If you want an iPod with all your songs pre-set or on shuffle, don't hire him---you'd be missing out on his true talent (ability to read the crowd). For the 6 hour event we had, the dance floor was not empty for even a second (we now know this after watching raw video footage of our reception)! Another vendor I would say you can't afford to miss hiring for your wedding.

DJ Brennan Sullivan was the DJ for our reception. He did a fantastic job and accommodated my last minute requests. He provided us with sample play lists and we picked songs to give him an idea of what we wanted. Everyone had a blast dancing and we received many compliments on the music choices. He also did a great job with announcements and helped the night run very smoothly. We got married during a hurricane which caused him to be a little late, but he setup quickly and was ready to go by the time we needed to be introduced. I highly recommend him!

We used Bialek Music for our wedding on August 27, 2011, at Sequoia in Georgetown Harbor in Washington, DC. The band, Right Foot Red, was AWESOME! We got LOTS of compliments from guests regarding how great the band was. I can't recommend them highly enough. Bialek also coordinated a surprise Elvis impersonator for us, who did a two song "show" (he didn't sing, just danced and lipsynch'd) in the middle of dinner. Awesome time. The memories will last forever. Thank you so much.

Bialek's is sort of an agent for many different musical needs. We booked a string quartet for our ceremony (Sage Strings) and were really pleased with the level of service from both Bialek and Sage Strings. Sage Strings played beautiful music.

Dan was wonderful. He played all our favorite music. The sound was perfect. The guests enjoyed Dan very much! I just wish it wasn't over!

We had DJ Richard Barretto from Bialek's and from the first conversation with him, I knew that he would be a great DJ. He is very warm, friendly and fun - all the qualities that we wanted in a DJ.

We filled out the sheet for the entrance announcements, first song, other song choices and everything was done perfectly. He was really able to read the crowd and kept the party going. Bialeks provided a pianist and band for my wedding reception. Linda, the pianist during the cocktail hour, added a great touch. She was very reasonably priced, was on time, and took requests. The band, the VIPs, was AMAZING! They kept the party going the whole time and played great music. My partner and I chose DJ Brennan Sullivan to do our wedding event at the Westin Georgetown. I was very specific in what we wanted and Brennan executed it all perfectly. I gave him the music for the ceremony and cocktail reception including the timing of each song. I just mentioned a few songs that I we wanted for the recption and let him do his thing. Brennan Sulivan was the DJ at our wedding. There aren't words enough that can express how much fun everyone had. My husband and I gave him an idea of what music we wanted and a "must play list". Of course he couldn't play all of them since it was too long list, but he made the decisions as the party went, reading the crowd, pleasing everyone. Once the music started the chairs went empty, and stayed that way except when we needed to rest, which didn't happen a lot. I can say that anytime we have a party we will choose him; we are gonna call him the "Must have DJ at Hernandez-Diaz parties". Future brides and grooms you won't be sorry if you choose him. Plus he was part of the party, even he had fun. Many people say that bride and grooms are the ones that have least fun at their wedding parties; NOT IN OURS CASE!! And Brennan had a lot to do with this.

Dan was excellent. He really listened to us and what we wanted. Several of our friends said it was hands down the best wedding DJ. He delivered what he promised and the dance floor was never empty. And, if he saw that one song wasn't working, he quickly changed it up. Great job!

He gave fantastic guidance for wedding structure and timeline, provided a great selection of music, and all in all kept the wedding alive the entire evening. For our wedding, we wanted our guests to have great music, but didn't want to break the bank. We saw an amazing band at my friend's wedding, but when we found out the price, it was way out of our league.

Going with a DJ seemed like a perfect fit, but finding one who understood our personalities and the tone of the wedding may have been hard.

However, after a few short conversations with DJ Dan Goldman from Bialek's Music, it was clear that we were a match!

Bialek has what seems to be an unlimited number of songs to choose from --- and those that they don't have, they can get. For example, we had 3 songs that were not on the list, and it was no trouble for DJ Dan to get them. He even got a karaoke version of a song we wanted to sing.

Perhaps the most important thing was that DJ listened to how we wanted the tone of the wedding to be. We wanted it low key, and mostly fast songs. There was never a moment when we didn't like what was going on.

DJ Dan was able to not only read what we wanted, but could also read the crowd and know when to slow things down or speed it up.

DJ Dan also handled the audio during the ceremony. Our Rabbi had a lav mic, and readers had a wireless mic. The sound was amazing, and we were grateful that it wasn't one of those weddings where people can't hear anything.

We could not have asked for a better music or audio experience during our wedding! :)

Dan Goldman was our DJ from Bialeks Music and he did an amazing job. The music selection was great and everything flowed wonderfully. He was very professional and freidnly. Bialek's Music was a joy to work with in the months leading up to and on my wedding day. When I contacted them, I spoke to Mr. Bialek who gave me some recommendations on DJs to meet with. The first one we met with was DJ Brennan Sullivan, and he impressed us so much we decided to book him right then and there. Brennan was such a pleasure to work with, always having answers to all my questions. He listened to everything I had to say, and played the music we wanted to a 't'. We requested very specific "no play" music, and he followed that. He was fun, funny, and kept the party going. Our wedding was the last of the weekend on a Sunday, and after the reception the front desk staff of the hotel told us that our DJ played the best music of the whole weekend, that they had to stop themselves from dancing behind the desk. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ than Brennan Sullivan!

Bialek's also provided us with our ceremony music, a guitarist and flautist duo. Unfortunately, 2 days before the wedding our guitarist was unable to play the wedding due to a terrible health emergency. But Bialek's handled the situation beautifully, and before I knew it I was on the phone with a replacement guitarist. I was worried because I had very odd music choices for the processional and recessional, but after speaking with Jerry Lyn, I was relieved and knew it was going to be wonderful. And it was. Jerry was amazing for stepping in so last minute and tackling the requests that I had. I never met him, but when the ceremony started and the music was playing, it was amazing. It was absolutely perfect.

Bialek's also provided me with uplighting at an amazing price. I am extremely happy with everything that Bialek's did. My wedding day was everything I imagined and more.

After interviewing several of the DC area's top DJ talent companies, selecting DJ Dan Goldman from Bialek's Music was an easy choice! He was very helpful throughout the whole process, called ahead of time to check on music selections, and basically did everything we asked for. Ray recommended Derek Romanoff for our wedding, and we are so grateful he did!! Derek instilled us with confidence from our very first conversation. During planning, he answered my many logistical questions quickly, professionally and knowledgeably, offering his expert advice when needed. I didn't have a wedding coordinator, so Derek's experience and input was incredibly helpful, and he helped the evening run smoothly by keeping everyone on schedule. On the day of the wedding, he was courteous, friendly, organized, the consummate professional -- and a FANTASTIC DJ. We were really particular about the music and had an extensive "do" and "do not play" list (which we completed using Derek's helpful interactive online planner), and Derek nailed it in selecting music that suited our preferences. My guests were on the dance floor the ENTIRE night -- even some relatives that we've never seen dance. He also provided some amazing atmospheric uplighting that was a complete surprise!

We got a ton of compliments from our guests on how great Derek made our reception; and in fact, my Maid of Honor ending up booking him for her own upcoming wedding. I could not have wished for a better DJ!

DJ Brennan Sullivan was amazing! From the first meeting we had with him after reading several great reviews on Wedding Wire, we knew he was the one when he could pronounce my husband´s complicated name perfectly! He was very organized and kept us on top of things, including selecting playlists and special songs. His attention to details also impressed us, and he was very willing to go with all of the special dances that we wanted, and also make suggestions as to how the night could flow better. Our D.J was Brennan Sullivan from Bialek's music. I selected him pretty easily because he came very well recommended by my wedding planner and was so easy to talk to. I wanted a D.J. that would keep things running smoothly and that I could trust not to be a wild card. Brennan was fantastically responsive. My now husband and I provided him with music for the wedding on a C.D. and emailed some MP3's since we wanted to have Spanish music for my husband's family and Brennan didn't have all the songs. He did however have a very wide variety of songs and other than the specifics we picked he had it all. He also was really helpful in suggesting specialty songs for father/daughter, mother/son dances etc. Brennan was extremely nice and professional and had great timing with all the music based on the time of night, crowd etc.. He followed my instructions very well and played a huge part in making our wedding amazing.

We used Bialeks to find our DJ- Mike Valenti and we were very happy with their services. They seem to have a large supply of good DJs and when we called we were able to get a list of DJs on their service that had experience with our reception venue and then we got to speak with each of them and chose who was the better fit.
I was a little reserved about using this kind of "impersonal" service, but I LOVED our DJ and would recommend both DJ Mike Valenti and Bialeks without hesitation!

I hired Jukeboxx band for my May 7, 2011 wedding in The Fairmont DC and I am so glad I did. The band made our wedding reception unforgettable! The dance floor was packed! The music made you keep dancing. I gave them a short list of must play songs and they played every one and more! They played the current songs and the oldies so well. The colonnade dance floor was too small because everyone kept on dancing! I would recommend Jukeboxx to any bride.

Bialeks was amazing- I would recommend their company for any event as this is not the first time we used them. For our wedding, we worked with DJ Rico, and we could not have asked for a better DJ! Many of our guests were Latin, and he provided the perfect mix of oldies, top 20, and Latin music that we were hoping for at the reception. Everyone was always dancing, he took requests, and was a great announcer- everyone’s names were pronounced correctly, and he definitely had a perfect “announcer” voice.. When he saw the guests struggling with the Cupid Shuffle, he even came down from the DJ booth to help show everyone how to do it! In addition to his phenomenal reception DJing, he went out of his way to meet with us prior to booking and even drove over two hours to meet us for a final walk-through of the reception venue to test the sound system. We selected David Bach Trio for both our ceremony music and to play during our cocktail hour. We had a short planning window (1-2 months) and David Bach was very responsive and had good suggestions. He and his trio are pros and they handled everything perfectly. Our guests loved them.

We selected DJ Brennan Sullivan through Bialek's Music on the strength of his reputation and references, and he was fantastic! My wife and I had a lot of really specific requests for our wedding reception, including the timing of events, the introductions, specific table announcements, and special music selections. He handled all of these aspects masterfully and was the main reason we had such a lively, fun, and exciting reception.

Brennan made a great impression from the start, as he agreed to take the time to meet with us in person to go over some of the planning details. My wife and I had concerns over all the different details we wanted to incorporate, and Brennan was really friendly and reassuring. He let us know we could ask him questions whenever, and that he was there to offer any help and advice we wanted while putting in place our ideas for the reception.

Once we got into planning 'crunch time', Brennan responded to our questions and requests very promptly and effectively. Among other details, he found the sound clip and song for the sports team intro we wanted to do for the reception, made sure he understood all our requests precisely, and was totally on board with incorporating folk songs and dances from my native country into his play list. I got the sense he would have gone to whatever lengths were necessary to try to achieve our vision for the wedding.

At the reception, Brennan took care to confirm all the details with us once again right before the intros started (including the pronunciation of everyone's name). The introduction was amazing, and Brennan then kept the reception flowing smoothly through the end of dinner, including the announcement of a couple of performances and toasts.

When the dancing started, we heard (and saw) just how talented Brennan is as a DJ. He weaved the folk songs into the lineup to great effect, and his own selections kept us and our guests on the dance floor pretty much the entire night. We had so much fun dancing and singing along that we wished we could have kept on going through the whole night. Per our wish, Brennan did a great job of letting his music speak for itself, rather than needling people on to the dance floor, which was exactly what we wanted. I think he read the crowd and handled the dynamic and energy flow beautifully.

On top of that, my wife's brothers, who generally don't dance, couldn't resist being lured onto the dance floor by Brennan. I even saw my wife's 90-year old grandmother nodding her head in time to the rhythm at a couple of points!

Both during the reception and at the end of the night, we had many of our guests tell us this was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding reception. Much of the credit for that goes to Brennan. He was brilliant and gave us exactly what we wanted - the best party of our lives!

So if you want a DJ who's friendly, has an engaging personality, is responsive and well-organized, tries to satisfy all your event wishes, and provides an amazing music and dance experience, look no further than Brennan. We highly recommend him to any and all!

My parents and I met DJ Dan at a bridal showcase our venue put on about a year before our wedding. He was very personable and gave us a ton of information without being overbearing which I appreciated. He also really impressed my Dad. That night we went home and looked them up to get more information. I really liked how the company had many different types of musicians and DJ’s available.

We ended up finding our String Quartet (Sage String Quartet) through them for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Everyone was great and raved the entire evening and still. The Quartet played beautifully and DJ Dan really watched the crowed to see what they liked. He made sure to go over everyone’s names before the entrances which I appreciated!

Holly the harpist played at our reception dinner and was fantastic. She added a touch of class to our special day, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her and Bialek's Music for your wedding.

Working with Bialeks and DJ Dan Goldman was a pleasure from the start! They are always willing to help, answer questions, and be flexible. Dan was highly responsive and dependable - he always responded to my emails quickly. Dan played the songs I love, and did everything flawlessly. Derek deserves all of the five stars. He started working long before the wedding. My daughter and I danced to a typical ethnic piece little known in the US. We burned it on a CD and I gave it to him just before the reception. He thanked me and said he would keep it just in case, but he had already downloaded it. Everything went flawlessly, volume level was just right and everybody danced until the very end of the party.

Bialek's was great to work with! They really worked with us to determine the best band for the size of our wedding and we (and our guests!) were so pleased with their suggestion. As an experienced professional, Brennan incorporated both his experience at these events, along with the list I provided. On the day of the wedding itself I was very impressed with Brennan. My goal as the bride was to just show up and have everything done to my liking, and that is exactly what Brennan provided. He arrived and set up on time, looked professional, and, most importantly, was a great DJ! He was a relaxed, not-at-all cheesy master of ceremonies (he stayed completely in the background except when it was time for an important announcement like starting the toasts or gathering people for the cake cutting. He didn't try to make it the Brennan Show, which is what I wanted in a DJ). He used our song suggestions as the basis for a great play list that kept everyone dancing all night long. He played what we wanted but was also great at reading the crowd and switching things up when it felt like there might be a lull coming on. My husband and I were on the dance floor for almost the entire reception, which is exactly what I wanted! The party had great energy, and afterward a bunch of people commented on how good the DJ was. My family loves to party and dance and can be very picky about DJs, but even then were impressed.
This was not the cheapest DJ service we looked at, but in the end we were so happy that we splurged a bit. Totally worth the expense! I can't recommend Brennan enough.

I'm a musician and I hired Bialek's Music for MY wedding. Bialek's provided a string group for our wedding ceremony, a band for the reception and a clown to entertain the kids. All were wonderful.
