JUST AMAZING- fantastic customer service, communication and the food was sooo tasty. I had numerous compliments of the food, tasty and beautiful presentation Would highly recommend them to anyone!

Big City was awesome!! Everything turned out perfect and exactly what we wanted! Having a smaller more intimate wedding can be hard when it comes to planning (your wedding isn't big enough) but Brittney did a great job making our day exactly what we wanted! She kept everything on time and organized! She was always very quick to respond to emails which made planning that much easier for me! The food was amazing, they even went out of the way to alter a recipe to be gluten free for the groom!! The whole staff was awesome, if you want a stress free day filled with delicious food then book Big City for your wedding!!

As the mom of the bride, I can honestly say this caterer did most of the work for us :) We called a few others before settling on Big City due to their professional but warm attitude. And are we happy we did!. Planning was simple, they offered various price ranges and menu choices, sampling and the final decisions as to linens and such went so smoothly I was worried things were going too well! But the day of the wedding was spectacular-service was attentive, but not hovering; warm, yet professional, and the food was all we had hoped for-set up was beautiful. The tables looked just as we imagined. It let my daughter and I truly enjoy her day-we did not have to lift a finger or do a thing. Cannot say how pleased I was with this vendor. Brittney was a blessing. I would not hesitate to recommend or use again.

I gave Big City Catering a 5 out of 5 for the services they gave me and my husband during our wedding planning process. We had some issues with our venue and Big City was very flexible with the changes we had to make. Besides the changes they were very responsive and easy to work with. The representative we worked with from Big City demonstrated so much knowledge and made this part of the planning process as easy as possible. The most important things was that the food was delicious!!!

Brittney was awesome. She helped us plan out exactly want we wanted. She always checked in with out thoughout the whole process to make sure every thing was going ok and she had great advice for us. The food was yummy and the service was great.

I loved this company because it had unique choices for food that I had not been able to find elsewhere. The staff was amazing in working with us in getting in to taste and finalize plans. And the day of the wedding they made sure everything ran smoothly, not only the food but helping out with many other things as well. Not only that but the food was amazing!!!

We worked with Brittney from Big City Catering and it was an amazing experience. She was so much more than a caterer! A week before our wedding we were having problems getting in touch with our venue and she offered to bring any items we needed and even found us a last minute wedding coordinator! Everyone at the wedding loved the food and service! Big City is a great company if you are looking for individualized attention and and awesome food! The stuffed mushrooms are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

We looked at 3 different caterers for our wedding reception, but as soon as we met with Big City Catering we knew they were our choice. Shannon is amazing- she gets the job done no matter what! She always responded to e-mails and phone calls quickly, and was very flexible with us. She was very honest when we asked if she thought we needed certain things (like a plated salad waiting for our guests that would cost more), so when she did give her opinion on things she thought were worth the money we took her suggestions seriously. She is great at knowing what you as a couple want and caters to that as opposed to trying to get you to spend as much money as possible. When we went to our tasting the chef himself served us the food. Which I was surprised by and found very refreshing. They are a down to earth and warm staff. At our wedding, we received so many compliments about Big City's efficient and friendly staff and the AMAZING food they served! Water glasses never went empty and the bartenders were great! As the newly married couple, we didn't raise a finger and any requests we made were gladly and speedily met. We picked a couple items that some of our guests typically don't eat, such as Israeli couscous and eggplant rollatini, and those were the most raved about items. Items on the buffet line never ran out and we even had a couple guests trying to figure out the recipe for the sauce that accompanied the grilled vegetables! One guest said when she'd finished she was totally satisfied and didn't feel bogged down and sluggish. Several guests confessed to getting seconds and everyone we talked to said everything they ate was delicious! There are many times Big City came to our rescue during the planning process and every suggestion for other vendors they gave turned out amazing. I could go on and on about how great they are, but the bottom line is that they get the job done efficiently, professionally and deliciously! They were worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY AND MORE that we paid, and we will send everyone we know to them! If ever we need a caterer again they will be who we go to.

Big City Catering is an extremely professional company that is capable of providing more than just superb food for your event. They can provide tables, chairs, linens, tenting, lighting and more.

Shannon was fabulous! We absolutely loved her and she gave great referrals and suggestions! I was amazed at how beautiful everything looked! It was all so organized! Between her, my fabulous DJ, and my wedding coordinator, I didn't have to think about anything on the wedding day! We didn't even have to get our own food. (If only we could've had a chance to eat more of it!) My only complaint on the day, and I[m not even sure who to blame for it, was that we had a wedding cake that had 5 tiers and each tier was a different flavor.. Shannon had said that the whole cake would be cut up, but we ended up with not as many people as the cake was planned for, so they only cut into 2 of the tiers.. SO, only 2 of the 5 flavors were served.. I had envisioned everyone having a choice of what flavor they wanted with the whole cake being cut up.. And of coarse I didn't notice since we were wisked away after the cake cutting to do some more photos.. The cake was also handed out, not letting people come up and choose the flavor that they wanted.. (I cringe when I think about all of that penaut butter cake being forced on people!!! Not sure why the cake was passed out when the rest of the dinner had been buffet style..) So, we wasted a bunch of $$ on the cake that we then ended up throwing away since we were leaving for the honeymoon.. and I was left with a cringing feeling every time I think about what people thought when they were served peanut butter cake.. Again, I'm not sure if this was a miscommunication between my wedding coordinator and the caterer, but SOMEONE should have known to cut the whole cake since it was all different flavors. When they cut into the 2nd tier and it was a different flavor than was already passed out and a different flavor than we had done our cake cutting into the staff should've at least figured it out then! But, everything else was AMAZING and I would choose Shannon and her team all over again!

Big City Catering was the best choice we could have made for our caterer and ball room decorator. The food was absolutely delicious and the room looked stunning. Shannon (the coordinator) was able to make our dream wedding come true. She was able to meet both our wants and needs while keeping us on budget. Months after the wedding, our guests are still giving us complements on how great everything looked, how amazing the food tasted, and how much fun they had. Most of all Big City Catering was able to provide us piece of mind when my fiance and I needed it most. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

They recently did our wedding at Paradise Cove and honestly everything was just amazing.All of my guest were raving about the food and the room set up, and the best was that I was able to relax during the entire planning process because Shannon was so on the ball! The food that Big City Catering provided during our wedding was excellent. I received multiple compliments from guests throughout the night. The entire planning process was a breeze with them. Their coordinator (Shannon) used to be a wedding planner up north and knows everything about weddings and will give you great tips. The food during our tasting was amazing and the entire staff made us feel welcome and did not pressure us to pick them at all. They were quick to respond to all the questions/concerns I had withing 24 hours and very professional. The night of our wedding they arrived on time and were very attentive. Shannon and her team executed my vision and made it the most memorable night of my life. I could not be happier!!!

I hired Big City Catering for my Daughthers Wedding May 7, 2011 which was held at my house. I am not kidding when I say this was the best food I have ever had at a catered event. From the first meeting with Shannon and Brittney ,my planners, I had confidence this day would be perfect. Both were the most knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful team one could wish for. Shannon was very reliable and always helpful for my menue changes and imput. I again say everything was perfect, food, rentals, colors, ideas, everythinbg. She got back with me always on a timely basis. The wedding day crew from set up to take down was extremely pleasant and professional. Brittney was so organized with every detail. I did not have to do anything except enjoy the day! I did not even have to pick up one cup and my house was left spotless! I will and have already referred their name to as many people I can. Shannon and Big City were absolutely amazing and made the whole planning process and wedding easy, flawless, stress free, and simply the best day of my life. Aside from the absolutely delicious food and drinks the people at Big City did anything and everything to make the night perfect. I did not have a planner and did everything myself. I would not have been able to do it all without the help and guidance of Shannon. She ran the night without a hitch. Big City was a preferred vendor for my venue but when looking at their site I thought that I would not be able to have them because they looked too expensive for my budget. I finally decided that I would just email and see if they could work within the budget and we got more than expected. There was not one thing that I could possibly complain about and if anything was not exactly how it should be Shannon was quick to fix it without me even having to worry about anything. I truly can't say enough good things about this company and Shannon and they will be the only catering company I use and recommend from now on!

Everyone at Big City was wonderful! The food was delicious and clever and we had lots of compliments from our guests. Shannon was a pleasure to work with, I loved her! She really was super helpful not just with the catering, but with other aspects of things we needed! She helped me find my hair and makeup team. Who were EXCELLENT! Also she helped with my cake as well, from cut the cake. It was yummy! She has a great list of vendors to choose from! She really knows her stuff, and is super professional and fun at the same time. If we ever need another event catered I will be using Big City for sure!

Shannon and the team at Big City did a great job for our wedding reception! We had a small intimate venue but they made it work. Everyone enjoyed the food and the staff was very professional. Shannon and the Big City team were very professional and very helpful throughout the planning process. Shannon was very flexible and was able to create a meal that met our vision and was within our budget, which was very tight. We had so many compliments on the food and the friendliness of the bartender from the guests.Shannon was very responsive to my emails and eager to help out any way she could. She definitely went above and beyond what my husband and I expected from her. She treated us like old friends, and on the day of the wedding, acted like a stand in day of coordinator. She told us that she might be doing this since her staff could take care of themselves and she wanted to help out wherever she could, but I don't think my parents or I were prepared as to just how attentive she would be! The first time my photographer saw Shannon in action, she asked if Shannon was my coordinator and was shocked when my response was "No, my caterer!". I would recommend Shannon and the Big City team in a heartbeat to anyone! It was such a joy to work with them.

My wife and I loved Big City, most of all Shannon who was very honest and did not try to over sell things and really worked with our budget. From the moment we walked in the door and met with her we knew that we wanted to use Big City. The wedding was great and we have not heard one complaint about the food. I would recommend Big City for any event!!! If we ever need catering in the future we will certainly use Big City. If you read this review and want great food with exceptional service then you need to call Big City and ask for Shannon you won’t be disappointed.

Big City was very accomodating and responsive to our questions. We must've emailed them with questions asking to see the final quote about 30 different ways (champagne toast vs no toast, sirloin vs salmon, cheese tray vs fruit tray, bar vs wine/beer only vs no bar, etc.) each time Shannon replied promptly with an accurate and revised quote. This was super helpful in planning our budget. The day of the wedding everything was set up and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Guests are still telling me how it was really good food; even the best wedding food they've ever had. We also used Big City for a cake referral and they handled the cake contract, delivery etc as well.

Big City is AWESOME! My partner and I decided to go with them after having a tasting with only one other company. We ended up signing a contract the day of our tasting with Big City, and at that moment, Shannon took this happily enGAYged couple under her wings. I do have to admit, at first, we were a little taken aback with the price, but now that the whole ceremony is finished, I know that Big City and the service, food, and advice that we received is far more valuable than what we paid! Shannon and Brittney were always amazingly professional and knowledgeable, and are more than willing to help in any way possible.Even now, 2 months after our ceremony, I am still hearing about the food and how amazing it was! The company definitely knows food and serving large numbers, and the girls (Shannon & Brittney) definitely know how to please! Thank you for making our big day everything we wanted!!!

I am so glad that we ended up going with Big City Catering!!! When we were looking around for caterers, Big City was about the 5th one we met with. Immediately after our first meeting with Shannon, I knew that I wanted her to be a part of our special day. I feel like their pricing was very reasonable for all that we got. It was nice to have everything included in the packaging (food, linens, glassware, bar, etc...Shannon even let us rent votives and vases for our centerpieces).When I walked into the ballroom on my wedding day, I was blown away by how amazing everything looked. We worked with Shannon from Big City to personalize our wedding menue. Not only was the food excellent, but since they actually make their own food they were able to cook around my soy-allergy. My Fiance and I wanted to have traditional German food served at our wedding, and Big City did an amazing job. Some of my family flew in for the wedding from Germany, and they even raved about the quality of food. It's been a month since our wedding and we're still receiving compliments on our food. I've never been at a wedding where I went back for seconds until ours.Big City surpassed all of my expectations, and Shannon was such a big help with little things along the way. I highly sugest to any bride that's looking for a reliable friendly caterer to check out Big City. It was well worth the peace of mind knowing that I could eat my food, and that my family would love it.

Shannon with Big City Catering is FABULOUS!!! She is more than just a caterer. She was sooooo helpful in assisting with finding different vendors and smoothing out the rough patches. I lost my officiant less than 2 weeks before my wedding and she had a contact who was willing to perform the ceremony at a discounted price in less than 2 hours! (I had emailed her after business hours as well). The food is AMAZING too. Our guests raved about the Artichoke Spinach Fonduta and the Crispy Cheesy Puffs. Everything was absolutely wonderful and I would absolutely recommend them over and over again. BTW I also had a consultation with Arthur's Catering and was not impressed with their customer service. The consultant told me he would get back to me with a quote in a week and I never heard any response. I felt that my 100 person wedding wasn't "big" enough for them. :-( But I am so glad they never responded because Big City Catering was WONDEFUL!!!! :-)

Shannon is awesome!!! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone looking for more than a caterer. She helped me decide linens, favors, limo services, etc. She's the best!! The food is great along with the supporting staff, Tom the owner and Brittany. They are the best!!!!!!!

where do I begin? My wedding was amazing and magical. Shannon was amazing,flexiable and cared only about our happiness. The prices we amazing for the food quality, services, flowers, linens etc etc. It was the best one stop shop ever! Pay one price and your all set! No words could really describe how happy they made our day! We were pampered and she stayed for our wedding etc and coordinated everything and made sure all went perfect. For example... Someone stepped on my daughters flower girl dress and ripped it down and she was so upset. I was in middle of after wedding pics and Shannon had it all fixed in the blink of an eye. I never got to tell her how much that meant and made my wedding worry free in many ways. I could go on and on... But you have to experience it for yourself. Shannon is incredible! Since we were from out-of-town we didn't know who to contact for chairs, tables, cake- but she took care of everything. The food was great & Shannon did exactly what we asked since I can be a bit picky! We had 2 servers who were perfectly attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better wedding!

Wow, where do I start? I worked with Shannon from start to finish and she exceeded beyond my expectations from a catering event manager. From the first phone call, which lasted 45 mins, I was impressed with her knowledge and experience with weddings. After tasting BIG CITY's food and talking in person we knew BIG CITY was the team for us! Shannon acts more as a wedding coorindator giving you vendor recommendations and will answer any questions asked with GREAT advice. I was having trouble getting in contact with one of my vendors for over a month, she made one phone call and within five mins had a response from this vendor, just one example of how she goes above and beyond. My experience with BIG CITY did not just impress my groom and I; EVERYONE at my wedding raved about the food and the service provided to them. The wait staff was very prompt and made sure everyone had enough to eat. Tom executed our sparkler exit very well! Our dream wedding became reality, not only because of starting our life together, but because BIG CITY did such an incredible job! My groom and I will use them again for anniversary parties, holiday parties, etc. BIG CITY is the best hands down!!

Big City Catering was/is the best! I had them cater my wedding at a private home with approximately 55 people. Shannon and her team handled the planning with such professionalism and care. The choices of foods were unlimited and they were not hesitant to be creative. They also allowed you to try the foods before finalizing your order. Shannon had great listening and follow-up skills. She too would share with you her opinions and advices to help you decide more effectively. The chef at Big City knows exactly what he is doing, as the food has great seasoning and taste. The food is not bland and you can actually taste the different ingredients in your meal. The portions are also generous. The day of the wedding I had Shannon and her teams help setup and stay throughout the reception. Shannon was truly amazing! Without her and her team my wedding would not have been on track and as organized. Because of their dedication and hard work the wedding was truly a success. Everyone enjoyed the food and the flow of the event. Shannon went over and beyond with her service as she was a friend and confidant. I thank Shannon and her team for everything!!! I am so happy I went with Big City Caterers. I will definitely send business their way.

We interviewed/taste tested at 4 or 5 different caterers and knew we found the perfect fit when we met with Shannon at Big City Catering. Our initial consultation was a hit - Shannon asked great questions and really wanted to work WITH us, which I loved. The tasting sealed the deal - the food was absolutely delicious! I spent the majority of the year leading up to the wedding overseas - Shannon was incredibly flexible/understanding and worked with me to make sure our food selections were perfect. Not only that, she helped me plan our centerpieces and favors - she truly goes above and beyond. The food at the wedding was exactly as we had tasted - delicious!!!! Shannon, Tom and the entire Big City team were wonderful to work with. All of my guests raved about the food. The servers and the bartenders were friendly and extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone whether you are on a tight budget or not, they will work with you to create a fantastic menu. During the planning process of our wedding, we interviewed three catering companies. We decided to go with Big City Catering for two reasons. One, was the price. As a bride on a tight budget, Big City offered more services, food, and rentals for about $1200 less than the other two companies. And two, we loved the people who would be helping set-up and manage the catering services on the big day. Seriously, it was like having a wedding planner there to coordinate everything! Big City catered our wedding on March 7, 2010. When we did the food tasting a few months before I was unable to eat anything due to some pre-wedding dental work. So my husband had to pick all the food. We didn't actually eat at the wedding (there was just so much going on), but we did take the left-overs on our honeymoon, and they were delicious. We had people calling us for a week afterwards raving about the food. Our wedding was a huge success, everything we had ever dreamed of and big city had a lot to do with it. We did a wedding package through Big City and Shannon was our wedding planner. She did a terrific job setting us up with fantastic vendors and was always there to calm my nerves. We would highly recommend Big City to anyone planning a wedding!

Shannon and Tom were great to work with. They did their best to help me stay on budget and the food selection was terrific. I primarily communicated with Shannon via e-mail because I knew she was super busy with other brides. I could rest assured that if I send her a message, I would hear from her within a few days. She set realistic expectations for me and was very upfront about what was and wans't possible. At the event, Shannon headed out early, but the waitstaff was very courteous and helpful throughout the night and even after the event. The event looked great and people continue to compliment the food. Highly recommended.

Big City Catering provided catering and day-of coordination for my wedding at Paradise Cove in February 2010. Shannon was so helpful throughout the entire process and really made us feel like we were her #1 priority. She was available at any time to answer any questions we had. My husband and I especially liked that they gave us a personal tasting featuring the food we were considering for the menu, while many of the other companies we talked to only provided group tastings. As far as cost goes, I would say they are in the mid-range. However, they are very accomodating to your budgetary needs. We let Shannon know at the beginning what we were able to spend and she made sure that we got the most for our money.Best of all, the food was AMAZING! Everyone after the wedding kept telling me that the food was the best part, definitely better than other weddings they had been too. I have to say that Big City Catering provides the right combination of great service and fantastic food. Isn't that exactly what you want from a caterer?

Why can't I give them 6 out of 5 stars????Shannon, the servers, and interns were completely awesome on our wedding day. They went above and beyond what they were required to do. One of the servers even tied my dad's tie for him so my dad wouldn't have to fuss with it.When we first started looking for a caterer for our wedding six months ago, Shannon was both the first to respond to our email as well as the most friendly. Big City worked with our (smallish) budget, and still managed to give us serious bang for our buck. Every single thing I ate at my wedding was delicious. The crepes, though, drew RAVE reviews from all of the guests... people are still talking about them, days later. The displays were absolutely beautiful, too. Everything looked appetizing and was artfully displayed. I seriously can't say enough good things about Big City Catering. I would recommend them to any future bride without hesitation or reservation.

Our wedding would not have been the same without Big Citys services. Shannon is AMAZING and always there if I had any questions or concerns. My first contact with Big City was a recommendation from my future sister in law.After contacting the company, I was immediatly contacted by Shannon. Her phone manner was extremely polite, professional, calming and helpful.Shannon and I set up a dinner appointment after corresponding via email for a several days.We hit it off immediately and I knew there was no one else I wanted to handle my wedding.We set up a tasting with my possible menu and my parents and I loved the food. My mother is extremely picky and was very impressed with the presentation, appearance and taste of the food.Shannon was working another wedding that day so she was unable to work my event. She set me up with her intern, Callie and also informed me that Tom, the Owner, would be at my wedding.From then on, my meetings and all contact was with Shannon and Callie. Callie was exceptional to work with. She's extremely patient, easy- going, an excellent listener and pays attention to detail.She was the 'Day of' Coordinator at my wedding and handled every detail to perfection.The food was exceptional. We had a buffet style dinner. There were some extremely picky, hard-to-please people at our wedding and they LOVED the food. In fact, my mother says it's something she keeps hearing from our relatives!In additon, the wait staff and bartenders were professional and courteous. My guests loved everything and everyone.The tables were set exactly as planned and everything looked wonderful.I look forward to working with Big City in the future and will highly recommend them to anyone.

Big City Catering was great! Shannon did our day-of-coordination and I think it was the best money we spent, it was nice not to have to worry about anything but being with family and friends those last few days. Before my wedding last August 2009 I did my homework... I spent a great deal of time interviewing several caterers in town (Puff-n-Stuff, Arthurs, John Michael, Cuisiniers, etc.) trying their food, and comparing their services and prices. I spoke to 8 different caterers... after all a wedding is such an important life event. I wanted a forever lasting memory of it for everyone involved. I chose Big City for several reasons... they were always responsive... very attentive, flexible and accomodating, their food was at par with other big caterers in town and price was competitive. Many of my guests made comments to me later (and they are brutally honest)... most of them were pleased with Big City's food and only one expressed that his steak was not medium but well, yet everyone agreed that flavors, presenatation and the people working the event were great. Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy the food much myself... nerves. In a nutshell, I was happy with my choice and if I could do it all over again I will definitely contact Shannon at Big City again. For those brides to be outhere having fun planning their day, when you are doing your homework make sure you get to know your caterer well and that you are comfortable with everything and everyone working your event. We used Big City Catering for our wedding. They are one of the approved vendors at the Lake Mary Events Center, and overall was very happy with what we paid for. We got a great deal on a package that included bar, our food, linens, utensils, and servers. Our guests were very happy with the food, and we were pleased as well. We did have some issues with some of their servers, who our guests complained were slow. But overall Big City Catering is a great vendor.

Lets just say I have no complaints about the food best so far.

We used Big City Catering Service for our wedding reception catering. We had a nice time talking with them and learning the menu's that they created and all that they could do for us. They provided our wedding with some nice food such as Beef Bordelaise and Chicken Piccata that tasted really good. My guests all enjoyed the foods and that is what mattered to us. I am happy we used them for our wedding as they were real good about everything. And the portions that they gave were real nice sized not small they were just right.

Molly did a great job with us. We were here there and every where at times with ideas and she put up with it. We decided to go with a buffet style dinner as it was cheaper and less wasteful. All we heard was good things about the service and the food (too bad the hubby and I barely got a chance to eat any). If I could give any advice make sure you eat at your wedding or have someone (your mom, dad or bridesmaids) make you both a plate and pack up to go as it gets so hectic sometimes that you may not get a chance to eat. The only bad thing I would say had to do with the cake design. She never got back to us to ask how we would like our cake designed and so her baker made her own design and it was to say the least plain. Although it was plain in retrospect it was nice as it was simple but I still feel I would have liked a little more oomph. Even with the cake design not being exactly what I may have wanted the cake tasted GREAT which I believe is more important than how it looked, had a lot of compliments on the cake.
