My hubs (then fiance)and I hired Charlotte-Ann as our DOC for our May 2009 wedding. She is an up and coming Event Planner who has several events under her belt, and her fee was very reasonable. Throughout the wedding planning process Charlotte-Ann was available to provide advise and to discuss details of the wedding via e-mail and phone. For the type of service we requested we had up to 3 in-person meetings with her. Since the hubs and I were pretty hands-on with the details of our wedding we only ended up meeting 2 times (initial consultation & walk-through of the reception venue 1 month before the wedding). As part of Big Day Your Way, Charlotte-Ann picks up all necessary supplies for the wedding day. She recommends to pick-up these items a week before the wedding so you have one less thing to worry about. However, several of our wedding items weren't going to arrive until the week of the wedding. So Charlotte-Ann was gracious to pick our stuff up the day before the wedding.

On the wedding day, we were really pleased with all her coordination. We really had nothing to worry about, other than sticking with the schedule. The day went pretty seamless as far as scheduling and getting the details of how we wanted our wedding to look and be carried out. She pays attention to detail and really does her best to meet your needs and wants through the entire wedding process. Also she works well with others, we were a bit concerned since we were required to have a Church assigned Coordinator to ensure the Ceremony was carried out in a manner acceptable by our Church.

My only gripe was that Charlotte-Ann told us early on that she was not going to be with me during my Pre-Ceremony prep. She stated that we wasn't really needed there and would be in the way. I suppose the only role she would play is to manage the photographer and videographer (i.e. make sure they're on time and know where you are in a hotel room), but I guess you can always get your MOH and/or bridesmaids to do this.

Overall Charlotte-Ann was great and we highly recommend her to all Brides. Without her we can't imagine how our day would have gone. So Brides, I cannot emphasize enough that you will need at least a DOC. It may be an additional cost, but it's well worth it!

Charlotte-Ann from Big Day Your Way helped to coordinate my wedding. I hired her for full coordination due to my busy schedule of both work and graduate school. She was a tremendous help throughout the process and especially on the wedding day. Some things that I liked about her include:

-Her work ethic: She is always professional and punctual

-She checks in with you regularly to see where you are in the planning process

-She is very organized and detail-oriented

-She was amazing on the day of the wedding. She took care of every detail and I didn't have a thing to worry about

-She creates great timelines for the day of the wedding so that everything flows smoothly

-I am also detail oriented and a bit anal, but she managed to take care even all of the little details that were important to me

I would highly recommend her. Plus, she is very affordable!!

I highly recommend Charlotte-Ann. I hired her for the day of coordination and she was a blessing! Initially I met Charlotte for a consultation and she offered many ideas and tips even before I booked with her. I even asked her for other advice outside of day-of coordination and she was nice to help me out as she really wants to make things smooth for her client.

We had one meeting with her prior to the wedding at the reception location. Unfortunately we had an issue getting into the location, but she didn't miss a beat and took care of the other items in the meantime. I am so glad we had that meeting as I would have forgotton to take care of some of the things!

I really also liked the last meeting the week of the wedding-to drop off all of the wedding stuff (like favors, etc). In order to hand her off all the stuff, I had to have it all done and that made the rest of the week a lot less stressful.

She checked email before the wedding for last minute changes. When I called her the morning of and said the flowers were a little late, she got the florists' cell (they had only had my land line). Charlotte answered her cell phone right away during the day when I had issues with other vendors. She contacted the limo company when there were problems and that was so nice to give that up. She was able to get the cell number of my photographer when I realized I didn't have it with me. Even if you're typically very organized you may not realize how hectic your wedding day is!

Everything that Charlotte took care of went perfectly! One of my bridesmaids said that it was the smoothest wedding reception she had ever seen and that I was really smart to hire her. The order of the events were timed to finish all of the photos in the photographer's time frame. Charlotte would gently remind us where to go and what the plan was as the evening progressed and it went so well.

My dad even said thank you to Charlotte in his speech. My husband, who initially thought a coordinator wasn't necessary, realized how much better the wedding went with Charlotte's help!

My only comment is that I would have thought Charlotte would have dressed in a business suit. However, it was a very hot day.

Once I got to the reception (separate locations) my day was smooth sailing and that is fully thanks to Charlotte. She is very affordable, very kind and really wants to help your day go smoothly. We are very grateful.

I highly recommend Charlotte-Ann. I hired her for the day of coordination and she took care of everything! I had one meeting with her prior to the wedding at the reception location. She called me early the day of the wedding to check up on me and I was able to relay my concerns and changes for the day to her.

My vendors complimented her also. She took care of everything such as getting the caterer to get tortilla chips for the guacamole because I forgot to order that and just making sure the cake was setup beautifully. The only thing I noticed off was that the menu holders I bought at Home Depot was displayed wrong and not like I originally showed her so I think Truly Yours probably set that up. My mother in law also mentioned how organized Charlotte seemed the day of the wedding.

I am so happy I did not have to worry about anything the day of the wedding thanks in part to Charlotte.
