I absolutely loved Bijou Bridal! All of the staff there are fantastic and really helpful. I found THE dress on my first trip there (3rd store overall) with the help of Karyn. My alterations were impeccable thanks to Diana and the staff who work at the front desk are all so friendly and knew who I was as soon as I walked in by the time my fittings were winding down. They're very reasonably priced and alterations are a flat rate for everything (other than cups and a french bustle) which I loved since my dress needed a fair amount of rework. I also got my bridesmaids' dresses from here and they get 15% off if you're a Bijou bride!

I loved my experience at Bijou Bridal. My wedding dress was a great price and the service was positive. Lisa and Diana have really made this experience a great one. My only complain would be that I feel the charge for the alterations of my wedding dress was a bit expensive but so far it's looks like they are doing a great job with it.

It was wonderful shopping for my gown at Bijou Bridal. After being discouraged by going to another salon where they wouldn't even allow me to see any dresses, I loved that at Bijou I was able to go through the racks and select what I liked! My dress was altered beautifully by Dolores who did a fabulous job and it was steamed to perfection when I picked it up a couple of days before the wedding. They also have a great selection of bridesmaid's and mother of the bride dresses.

I loved loved lovedddd my dress and the store I bought it in!! Bjou Bridal is located in Paramus, NJ and has a very wide selection of bridal gowns and accessories. It was a wonderful experience shopping there and they were really nice and attended to all my needs on a timely manner!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone who is looking for a quality dress!!!!

Bijou Bridal makes you feel like a princess from the moment you walk in. I found my dress on my first appointment. The girls that work there are very helpful and really take the time to know what you are looking for. They have a large selection of Beautiful gowns for both brides and mother of the brides. My mom also bought her dress here. The girl that did our alterations and fittings was AMAZING!!! She really knew what she was doing. My dress had a lot of beading and in order to do the alterations she had to remove every single bead and then put it back on. She did such a good job, the dress looked perfect and fit perfectly to my body. I also bought my veil and a head piece from the store and everything just looked beautiful. They also do dry cleaning for your dress after the wedding and give you a $50 discount for buying your dress with them. They were truly amazing and recommend them to everyone!!

I had a great experience at Bijou Bridal today. I am getting married on jan 19th of 2013..and I have very limited time to get a dress. I was 15 minutes late to my appt today bc I got lost..by the time I got there, they assured me it was ok. Karen was my consultant, and she was wonderful. She made me feel very comfortable and I chose the first dress that I tried on. It was over my budget, but given that my wedding is in two months..I got a great deal on the floor sample that was sold to me..Karen called alot of places to see if the colors and my sizes were available...I had a great experience here.

Bijou Bridal makes you feel like a princess, as you should for your wedding. The designer of my gown was Stephan Jolie, which is a designer exclusive to Bijou. The alterations were performed on site on time and the dress fit me very well. The cost for the alterations was also very reasonable. The staff is very friendly, professional, and sweet and the selection is amazing. I visited about 6 or 7 other bridal salons, and thought that Bijou was the best :-)

I used Bijou Bridal for my bridesmaid dresses and MOB dress. The staff there was the friendliest of all the salons I visited. They were patient with my big group of bridesmaids - which included a flower girl and two jr. bridesmaids - when they came for their fittings. They were extremely reassuring that I was making the right dress decision for my girls to go with the formality of my wedding. They also eased my concerns about dresses fitting my two jr. bridesmaids who are in between sizes. My mom was somewhat indecisive about her dress because there was no sample/picture of it in the color she wanted and the staff made every effort to find a dress in a close enough color and to locate fabric swatches from the manufacturer to help her make her decision. And she ended up looking absolutely gorgeous!!

Bijou Bridal was great. I found my dress on my first appointment and it was beautiful. The girls that help you out are very knowledgeable and help you find the right fit. They also have dresses for all budgets. The dress fitting process was also very good. I had about 4 fittings to make sure it was perfect. Overall I would recommend Bijou Bridal as they are professional and organized.

I found my dream dress here on my first appointment! I was able to also customize the shape of the skirt to what I preferred. My seamstress was Pat, and she did an absolutely beautiful job and we couldn't be happier. She made sure each time that I was comfortable and could walk around/dance in the dress and that it looked the best it could. You could tell she actually cared that the work was the best it could be and if it wasn't, she would do everything she could to make it the best. The girls here are lovely and are so easy to work with. Beautiful selection of dresses to choose from, not only for the bride but for everyone involved in the wedding! We also got our flower girl dress here as well and it matched perfectly with mine.

Amazing selection of dresses, they are all so beautiful!! Dress shopping can easily be overwhelming but the staff at Bijou made sure that didn't happen with me and I found the dress of my dreams!! There were a few hiccups with alterations, but Pat got that all taken care of and my dress was ready in time for the wedding and looked amazing, which is really all that matters!!!

This was the second store i went to in search of a bridal gown. As a fuller figured girl, it's not easy trying on sample sizes. My consultant was patient and helpful in figuring out the best way to get me in and out of dresses, and didn't make me feel the least bit self conscious when i couldn't get a few on. Somewhere around the 4th dress, i had that "ahhh" moment, but there was a dress at another store i wanted to try- so i left empty handed. I came back a few weeks later and ordered that 4th dress from Bijou.

While getting measured and placing the order, I mentioned i was in the process of losing weight for the wedding (a fairly substantial amount). As I was getting ready to leave, one of the girls came over and asked me how much I planned on losing. When i told her, she suggested looking into the system to find out the latest date I could submit the order to the manufacturer and still receive the dress when i wanted. We were able to hold the order back a month, and measure me then to see if i wanted to order a smaller size.

I came back and re-measured, and felt comfortable ordering a smaller size. I'm so grateful she went out of her way to do this, since the dress would have to be taken apart and reconstructed if it needed to be tailored down more than 2 sizes.

I called with a million questions, went to see the dress to check if shoes i bought matched it, etc. They were really accommodating to all my craziness.

The dress came in and was just slightly too big. Had I not ordered a size smaller, it would have been huge.
The seamstress was a complete joy! She really worked hard to get the fit perfect, and to create a french bustle that i wanted, despite it being difficult with the fabric my dress was made of. She did an excellent job, and on the wedding day, my dress looked flawless.

Bijou Bridal in Paramus was great. The staff is really helpful, nice, and they have beautiful dresses. I was really happy with my choice and how my dress came out. The only thing they do not do is alterations for bridesmaids which is a pain, but that wouldnt stop me from reccomending this shop for your wedding dress.

Great experience for both my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. Alteration experience for wedding dress was easy! Recommend Binou for good variety and a smooth process!!

After visiting another bridal shop that had my daughter in tears because they put her in a gown $1,100.00 over her budget we went to Bijou. We were permitted to meander through the bridal floor and choose the gowns we wanted to try on. Kathy, the manager helped and one of the gowns she chose turned out to be my daughter's gown choice. Truthfully, one gown was more beautiful than the next. The gown my daughter chose was from their own private selection, so the chance of seeing it on another bride or in a magazine is unlikely...nice!
My daughter lives 4 hours away. Bijou worked with us to accommodate her fittings. They were professional, responsible in meeting our needs and the gown was fitted to perfection.

I am so happy with my bridesmaid dresses I ordered from Bijou Bridal. Even though they do not do alterations for bridesmaids, the staff was extremely helpful and our dresses arrived before the time frame they gave me. They were knowledgeable and courteous with my bridal party and me. I have 8 bridesmaids and they were all very happy with the dress and the staff at Bijou Bridal. They gave us a discount price because i had 8 girls and kept me informed every step of the way! I picked up my girls dresses yesterday and we are extremely happy with them. Before I took the dresses they insuring me everything was perfect with the dresses by checking the zippers and sizes. They even assisted me in taking the dresses to my car. I would absolutely recommend Bijou Bridals to any bride!
 

I bought my mother of the bride gown at Bijou. It was magnificent! Keisha was my seamstress and she did an amazing job on the alterations. She was always sweet, and professional. Everyone at Bijou is helpful and pleasant. They have the most beautiful selections of gowns amywhere. I highly recommend Bijou.

After receiving a fake, destroyed designer gown from Exquisite Bride two weeks before my wedding, I scrambled to find a new gown. That being said, Bijou Bridal exceeded my expectations and found me my dream gown with time to spare! They were WONDERFUL. They made sure I was not just satisfied, but thrilled with the end result. Their saleswomen and seamstresses are just great and I am so thrilled that despite the tragic experience I had with Exquisite Bride, that I came to Bijou Bridal and they found the perfect gown for me. They are attentive, patient, and hardworking. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

I purchased my wedding dress from Bijou. Though I knew prior to going which dress I would most likely choose (just had to try it on to be sure), they had a great selection to choose from. I actually tried on about 8 dresses. From Day 1 they were professional and helpful. I went back to order the dress, and again they were extremely accommodating. If I ever needed any type of formal wear, I would definitely return to Bijou!

I bought my wedding gown & my bridesmaids gowns at Bijou & it was such a great experience! Joyce & all of the girls are great! They are extremely nice, patient & professional. This was my first & last stop for my wedding gown! That's right, I found my dream dress on my very first try =)! As soon as I walked into the store, I knew it was a perfect match for me! It looked classy & elegant & all of the employees were courteous & professional! The best part is that they have wedding gown in all price ranges! I did not want to spend too much money on a gown I would only wear once, but I bought a designer gown for a very reasonable price that looks like a million bucks! The employees do not treat you any differently if you say you want to spend $2000 or $10,000. The same amount of attention is given to every bride! They were patient & made me feel comfortable when I could not decide on my gown & had to keep trying them on! Fittings were great too! Whenever I had an appointment they would call to remind you & confirm. I highly recommend Bijou! Don't go anywhere else for your gown! You won't regret it =)

What a great experience. This was the first place I went to, walked in and was awed by the dresses. They set up a rack for me and I went around putting all the dresses I wanted to try on on the rack. I had no pressure at all from my consultant Karyn. She was so nice and I felt comfortable with her. I found an amazing dress but chose to shop around at other salons to make sure it was The One. I was not at all impressed with the other salons, as they all seemed a little dirty, and consultants not as professional. I realized I already found the dress and returned to pristine Bijou Bridal. I never had any problems with my fittings and my dress came about a month earlier than expected. If you want to have that upscale Bridal Salon experience with very sweet consultants, then Bijou Bridal is the place to go!

I loved my dress, It was exactly what I wanted and the tailor did a fantastic job.

I had visited a lot of bridal salons in NJ, and Bijou Bridal was by far that classiest and most professional of all! I was looking for a particular dress from a designer, and Bijou had the dress at their sister location in PA, so they shipped it over for me free of charge to try on just a few days later! I bought that dress and my maids also got all their dresses from Bijou as well. None of us had any issues. The seamstress I worked with was so sweet and it was easy to make appointments for my alterations as she was there everyday. Thank you Bijou for your professionalism and making my dress perfect for my big day! :)

I purchased my Casablanca dress at Bijou Bridal. While I found the dress at 2 other locations (East West Bridal in Secaucus and I do I do in Morristown) I chose to purchase it at Bijou Bridal because they offered both the price and ambiance I was looking for when purchasing my wedding gown. East West Bridal had the dress for the same price, but was lacking in ambiance. I Do I Do in Morristown was a beautiful boutique with a much higher price tag on the same dress ($600 mark-up).

Bijou has flexible hours, professional employees, and a beautiful fitting area. My only gripe with them was that we were not allowed to take ANY photos of the dress until we purchased it - I know a lot of places are like this but it makes it very difficult to make such a big purchase without a photo of yourself in it to look at from home. East West Bridal DOES allow photos.

The service and experience I received from Bijou was amazing. From the receptionist, to sales, to alterations everyone was beyond nice and helpful. Sometimes after you make a purchase the service quality decreases, but that's not the case here. They understand that this purchase is so important and walk you through everything. I highly recommend Bijou!!

Everyone at Bijou Bridal is so sweet and accommodating. Planning a wedding can be very stressful especially looking for a dress. They were great with updating me on the bridesmaid dresses and my dress. They have so many unique wedding dresses. I went to 7 different bridal stores in nyc, westchester county, and bergen county before finding my dress here. I loved everything about it. Also the tailoring was perfect, better than I could have imagined. My dress fit perfectly. It was a strapless gown and I didnt have to pull it up once due to the tailoring. They listened to all of my concerns and made my dress look amazing. Thank you to Diana and everyone else in tailoring for all of your hardwork and attention to detail.

I ordered my dress, veil, headpiece, and jewelry from Bijou Bridal. Everyone there was a pleasure to work with and I had a wonderful experience every time I was there! I found my dress online and Bijou shipped it in for me to try on and of course I fell in love with it. My veil ended up being custom made and it arrived quickly and better than expected (it was exactly what I was imagining). My headpiece and jewelry matched my dress perfectly and the Bijou staff were very helpful in picking it out. My seamstress at Bijou was awesome and she made the minor alterations to my dress perfectly with a lot of patience (I can't sit/stand still and talk a lot!). I enjoyed all of my experiences there and would recommend this bridal salon to anyone and everyone!!! Thanks Bijou :)

I highly recommend this place for bridal gowns. When I thought I saw all stores around NJ, PA, NY and CT and was sad I couldn't find the one I was looking for, went to my last location Bijou and found it there! I was upset none of the stores I went to before would do a few alterations to the gown because they are premade, things like neckline, length of train, embroiderer in different parts of the dress, etc. but Bijou did! Service was great since the first day and they were able to accommodate my fitting dates to my schedule as I was living in the west coast and could only go there a month before the wedding and a week before the wedding for final alterations and fitting. Brides, what they say about the time is correct, you do need at least six months for all this process so start early. I ordered my dress in october and didn't get to see my dress until april. the dress was in the store by march like they promised but i couldn't go because of work. Pls take your time and don't panic. I would have used Bijou for bridesmaids and mom's dresses but they were too expensive there. My gown though was great, even on the price it started at...yes you gotta think about the alterations and blossom price added to your final bill. But compared to other places that didn't event want to do any additions/alterations I was looking for in my dress, this was still the best place. I love my wedding gown!

I purchased my Paloma Blanca Style #4105 gown from this store. The store is absolutely stunning, and the staff are kind, helpful, and professional.

I never had to wait long, and I always left the store happy.

The only reason I couldn't give the full 5.0 rating is because I really wanted to pick out a veil on the same day of one of my fittings (I live about an hour from the store) but I wasn't able to, and had to make a separate...

Bijou bridal provided me with a flawless series of experiences!!! From my first time there looking at dresses to all of my fittings, it was a joy. They have a beautiful store with a huge inventory, spacious dressing rooms, comfy couches for guests, and a knowledgeable, supportive and happy staff. I love it ther and highly recommend it!!

Now let me start off by saying I started looking for wedding dresses in June and getting married in November so when I booked an appointment to go to Bijou I knew I was walking out with a receipt, I knew I had very little time. AND I did! The dress was on a mannequin my mom saw it and I saw it and we both said oooohhh I liked that. I tried on 10 dresses having the display dress as my first dress and 9 different other styles thereafter. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on after re-trying it again.

Fast forward about 3-4 weeks later. I started having dress regret and buyer’s remorse. I hated my dress. It was the complete opposite of what I wanted to get. (completely not Bijou’s fault) I wanted form fitting, mermaid style off the shoulder, very little train and lace. Instead I got A-Line, huge train, sweetheart neckline and strapless. I considered buying a new wedding dress but I knew I was pressed for time. Went for my first fitting and my nightmares came alive! I hated it!!!! I felt fat! I felt like the dress wasn’t ME I just hated it. I wanted to cry for spending so much $$ on a dress I hated. So I decided if I cant change my dress I will get a reception dress. So go I look. Meanwhile I lost a good 15 lbs and started feeling better. Went for my 2nd fitting and had a change of heart! I made sure to do my hair as I would on my wedding day, did my MU put on my jewelry and my wedding shoes! What a difference it made. I felt beautiful amazing and a bride. Maybe it was the weight, maybe it was me, maybe it was in my head but at that moment I knew I didn’t need any other dress. And on my wedding day when I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror I knew I made the right decision. My MIL could not stop saying ”OMG Michelle” and me saying “I Know” LOL…. My LOVE MY DRESS!!!!!!

PS: I spent very little time with my salesgirl but I did LOVE my seamstress! She was amazing.

PPS: everyone at Bijou has been nothing but friendly, professional and courteous. They actually gave me a gift when the time came to pick up my dress. A beautiful pearl necklace ☺

PPS: LOL the reason they are getting 3 stars for value is bcoz my dress altho very beautiful was really a lot PLUS the alterations (which was $300) that was supposed to include EVERYTHING didnt. like my bustle (french bustle) was another $50 and the cups they added was another $25. so after everything is said and done, i paid an extra $375 on top of my dress. had i known it was gonna be that much i would have went...

Bijou Bridal was the BEST!! They had the most amazing dress selection, and their bridal consultants were such a pleasure to work with. They worked with me to find the perfect dress for my day, (not that it was hard, because their selection is amazing!), and the helped make my dress everything I had dreamed of it being. Which was beautiful. Words can't even express how gorgeous my dress was, or how amazing the seamstress was that I worked with. She was so patient, and worked to make every last detail perfect for my wedding day. If you're searching for a wedding dress, GO THERE! And request Diana as your seamstress.

My gown as well as my bridesmaids' gowns were purchased at Bijou. When I became too small to fit in the original size dress that was ordered for me within the last two months, Bijou was nice enough to quickly switch it for me with one in the warehouse that would be easier to alter. Ordering and receiving our dresses was seamless. My alterations were well done, but I wasn't thrilled when I discovered that they were no longer doing bridesmaid dress alterations and had to find a different seamstress to do their alterations. However, I found a wonderful seamstress with excellent prices. In retrospect, I would have taken my bridal gown to her for alterations had I known how much didn't come included in the price of the "all-inclusive $300 bridal alterations." I also had some issues with my bustle staying up. Nine days before my wedding, Bijou attempted to push my final fitting out closer to my wedding (5 days prior) in case I lost more weight. I wasn't able to do it any other day because I had already made special arrangements to be there with my bridesmaid who would be doing my bustle on that specific day. I also felt to think I would lose monumental weight in 4 days was a bit ridiculous. It caused me to feel as if they had bitten off more than they could chew and were just looking to buy themselves more time to complete my alterations. Needless to say, I kindly refused and explained I'd be unable to make it at that point and the owner got a bit snippy with me. However, after reading about as well as witnessing some of the other horrific antics that have been experienced with other bridal boutiques, I guess I should count my blessings that these were my biggest issues with Bijou! If I had to go back and do it all over again, I would have no reservations about ordering my gown through Bijou but would have went elsewhere for my alterations.

Bijou Bridal came highly recommended by one of my family members and it is the first place that I went to to start looking for my wedding dress. The wedding consultant was very sweet and courteous and immediately started helping me search for "The Dress". I selected 8 dresses and started trying them on, one by one. When I tried on the third dress, I just knew it was The One. I put on a veil and the tears started flowing...I knew that I had found my dress. I placed an order for the dress that day, and when it came in, I loved it even more than the day I laid eyes on it. Every time I went for a fitting, the dress seemed to take on its own personality. I had an excellent seamstress who transformed my dress into an even more gorgeous dress than it already was! I made an appointment to select jewelry, and the sales associates that assisted me helped me get into my dress and brought necklaces, earrings, and bracelets for me to try on until I finally decided on the ones that I would take. When I went to pick up my dress, I was happy and sad at the same time. I was happy because I was finally taking home my dress and was one step closer to getting married! I was sad because the staff at Bijou Bridal had become like a second family who recognized me every time I walked in the door. I would highly recommend Bijou Bridal to any girl who wants to find their dream dress. The value of my dress and the quality of the seamstress' work are unsurpassable. The dress fit me like a glove. On my wedding day, I couldn't wait to get into my dress because it was the dress I had dreamed of since I was a little girl and I wanted so badly to see my husband's face when he saw me for the first time. Bijou Bridal did an absolutely wonderful job!

I went to a few sample sales but did not get the bridal experience I wanted. Bijou's consultants are all very nice and not pushy at all. I knew I found my dress at the first bridal appointment, but went back two more times before I placed my order. I wanted to be 100% sure and they were more than accommodating. It was a dress from their in-house designer, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I placed the order for the dress three months before my wedding date, it came in on time and had all three of my fittings in the week prior to the wedding. Their alterations department is awesome. I had so many compliments on my dress. It was the perfect dress and a great experience.

I purchased the first dress I tried on at Bijou with no second guessing. During my visit my consultant Eileen was helpful in pulling dresses that matched what I had initially thought I liked, but most importantly selected a dress for me to try on that was nothing like what I was considering, and it was perfect. The dress arrived with plenty of time to spare before my wedding, and Bijou was flexible in scheduling alterations, and even did some last minute alterations a few days before my wedding.

Bijou did a excellent job on my dress and alterations...my only negative thing about them is i would go somewhere else for bm dresses they don't alter bridesmaid dresses

i had a great experience with bijou. my dress was the last one that i tried on that long day of dress finding. there were a few issues though.

1. i didn't exactly know what type of gown i was looking for or what would look best on my body. i was hoping they would pull some dresses that they felt would look best for me, but instead they just brought you upstairs to a room with racks all along the walls full of gowns and told you to choose. it was a bit overwhelming. they only allowed me to choose about 5 gowns, luckily i was fast with trying the 5 on because she allowed to to go back to the room with all the gowns and choose some more. if we hadn't done that, i wouldn't have found my gown.

2. i also got my bridesmaids dresses there, but some of my girls encountered some very snooty attitudes from the older women that worked there. i wasn't very happy about that.

3. i chose the bill levkoff style 526 and most of my girls dresses came in a size too large. it ended up costing them a lot to have them altered.

other than those issues the cost of my wedding gown was very reasonable and the cost of my girls dresses was the best i could find because they received 10% off since i purchased my gown there. also when you are a bijou bride you receive 15% off when other brides purchase their bridesmaid dresses from them, so that has also saved me money. my experience overall was a...

I had a great experience with Bijou! Not only did I buy my dress & veil there, but we ordered 7 different bridesmaid dresses from them (same color, different styles). Karen was my bridal consultant, she was such a dream to work with. I went to a number of places and Karen was one of my favorites. I even asked for her when my girls went because she was so helpful without being obtrusive. My seamstress was even better. She completely redid the lace beading on my bodice when it had to be taken in. My dress fit me perfectly and I didn’t have simple alterations!

The only negatives I would say is that there are a little inflexible. Minor instances in the overall experience, but it was hard to get last minute appointments sometimes. Also, I wish they were more helpful with my expecting MOH. They bothered her for her waist measurement when she was 8 months pregnant and had her sign a form to acknowledge she wasn’t ordering according to the size she measured to, which was semi ridiculous given the wedding was 4 months after she was due. But overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend them!

We found the Mother of the Bride and Grandmother of the bride dresses at Bijou. The selection is excellent and so is the service. As long as you make that appointment you will have all the help you need. The alterations were also excellent. I would recommend this store to any women in the bridal party.

Their selections of dresses was absolutely breath taking. My dress was the first one I tried on. It was perfect in every way. The seamstresses were wonderful and did a great job on the bustle. I will recommend Bijou Bridal to any bride who wants to feel like royalty.

I bought my wedding dress at Bijou Bridal for my August 2011 wedding. Every step of the process was completely taken care of by the staff at Bijou. Everyone was wonderful as I tried on and chose the dress that I had always pictured myself in on my wedding day. The alterations were expertly done and my dress turned out beautifully for the day of my wedding. My bridesmaids dresses and my mom’s dress looked gorgeous. I highly recommend Bijou Bridal for any wedding preparations.

By far the best bridal shop I steeped foot in. All the ladies who worked there were so nice and helpful from the beginning. If you don't want to be pressured into a dress, this is the place to go. They truly care and want you to be satisfied with what you decide. I bought both my wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses here. By doing that the bridesmaids received 10% off their dresses. Everything came in on time and perfect. My dress was beautiful and my seamstress there spent a lot of time on my dress. At the end they even gave me a lovely gift and walked my dress out to the car for me!

After looking at about 6-7 places in the northern NJ area, I knew NONE of them compared to Bijou Bridal in Paramus. They were one of the first few places I looked at and from the moment I stepped into the beautiful showroom, I knew it was just my style. I was looking for something classic, yet different, that every bride didn't have on. They had unique dresses were within my price range and gorgeous! I found two dresses there that I loved and ended up going to back to after looking at all of the other dress shops. I finally made my decision and I couldn't be happier! My dress was not in every other store--it was by a private designer only for Bijou. It was extraordinary! The girl I worked with was Karen (highly recommend!) and she was a doll! They don't work on commission so there is no pressure...just honest opinions! I also worked with her mother Kathy who has been in the business forever. She was absolutely wonderful too. The seamstress was amazing--my dress fit me to a tee! They helped me figure out what accessories to wear (got my hairpiece and bracelet from them), as well as suggestions for my hair that would really show off my dress.

I received SO many compliments on my dress at the wedding! It truly was gorgeous--I wish I could wear it again!

My mom also got her MOB dress there and worked with Karen and Kathy as well (after looked at a ton of places). She went back to the original dress she had her eye on.

I have nothing but glowing remarks to say about Bijou Bridal. I bought my dress there. I expected to see high price tags on the dresses in the store, but all of the dresses I was interested in were under $2000. They gave me 10% off also. (No sales tax in NJ too!) I had my alterations done at the store. The seamstress completely restructured the dress like I wanted. I turned an A-line dress into a mermaid-type dress. It was the most perfect dress. All 9 of my bridesmaids bought their dresses from Bijou also. (5 of the bridesmaids were from out of town, but Bijou was able to coordinate their measurements via phone). My mother found her dress there as well. I definitely recommend Bijou!

I shopped at Bijou Bridal for my veil only (I had already found my bridal gown elsewhere), but my experience with Bijou Bridal was wonderful. The sales reps were so friendly and helpful, and I found my stunning veil within 20 minutes of arriving at the store. It was such an easy process. I LOVED my veil! Thank you Bijou Bridal!

Overall my experience with Bijou Bridal was positive. They had a large selection of dresses to fit all budgets and body types. I appreciated the fact that right on the sheet they give you when you have an appointment, they ask your budget. This way, they don't bring you dresses that are out of your budget. I found an amazing dress. It was everything I wanted.

When the dress came in and i got to try it on, the fit was almost perfect. I also appreciated the white gloves the handler wore when helping me into my dress.

Where Bijou fell short in my opinion is in the alterations. I know it is standard to have an "alterations package" and at $300 I thought it was reasonable. However, I wanted the train taken off my dress. My dress was a plain silk taffeta with no beading except under the bodice. The dress of course needed to be hemmed anyway so essentially all they had to do was continue the hem all the way around and cut the train off. Much simpler than a bustle I thought. however, they told me I had to pay an additional $100 just to cut off the train! I was told they had to re build the entire skirt. When I went to another seamstress she told me that was not true. I decided to pull my dress from the store and have it altered elsewhere. No one at Bijou asked why I was taking the dress before it was altered and honestly, if they had told me they would have done it for the $300 I would have kept the dress there. But no one asked. I had the alterations done at a seamstress who also put in cups (that was an additional $50 at Bijou) and it cost me $225 as opposed to the $450 I would have been charged at Bijou. Other than this slight hiccup, I would recommend Bijou to others for their large selection of beautiful dresses and their staff who was very nice and professional.

Bijou was a great experience! My alterations were perfect! I wore a strapless dress-- I danced the entire night and didn't have to pull up the dress from the top once. The bustle was flattering to the dress style...i received compliments all night. Farzan, the tailor, was a pleasure to work with!

Just got my dress at Bijou Bridal today! I've been to about 6 shops and this was definitely by far the most professional and friendly. I never once felt pressured or rushed even though I went back to try the dress 3 times, which was really important to me! A lot of the other shops I visited pressured me hard core or lost interest in me once they found out I was not going to buy that day! My saleslady Kristen was so patient with me throughout the whole process even when I proclaimed to her that I would probably be her most indecisive bride ever!!!

the gown picked me. i looked in bijou just as another place on list to hit for dresses and ended up loving the place and the staff. i found a number of dresses i loved and then i found THE dress. I had alot of bridesmaids. I had 7 different styles all the same color. They looked gorgeous. I felt beautiful and the seamstress knew her stuff. Just as important as the bride feeling gorgeous in her gown is pleasing a self consious mom to find the perfect mother of the bride dress. Mom is more of a suit gown woman than a gown showing skin and we found a gorgeous dress for her. Actually she had options. She looked amzaing. everyone complimented her and i could tell she felt beautiful in it. Bijou hit every deadline, always had available appointments and worked with wahtever the issues were. I had different body types in my wedding. who got pregnant, who just had a baby, who diets and who has uneven body types. I was very happy with them and i also loved their supply of evening gowns. If i ever go to a ball, the oscars or black tie, i know where ill shop

I went to a few bridal stores in the Bergen/Passaic County area and found my DREAM dress at Bijou, made by a designer who only designs for this store. They have a gorgeous selection of some of the hottest dresses i've seen. All the employees were always so nice and helpful. I stopped by a number of times before my actual dress came in, to try the sample on with my veil, shoes, show my grandmother, etc..and they were always really nice about everything. The alterations for my dress came out exactly how they should and the seamstress was professional and patient on my 3 visits.

Also, I ordered my 5 bridesmaid dresses from here as well. They took about 3 months to come in and I picked them up in garment bags. My girls did not get them altered by the store, but only because of distance to where they live. The dresses were just perfect .

I had a great experience all around. Sometimes I just wanted to linger & hang around the place and see brides trying on their gowns, what dresses people were looking at, etc... it's a fun store & I highly recommend it.

Bijou came to my rescue just TWO MONTHS before my wedding date after a disaster at another salon ruined my first dress. The entire staff was wonderful and extremely helpful and accommodating. I was able to get a BRAND new dress in under two months from their exclusive line. The dress itself was incredible the intricate beadwork was so detailed and beautiful. They were able to do all of my alterations in under a week to get me ready for the big day. From the seamstresses to the front desk it was a pleasure going to the store and working with them. The store itself was very nice and kept very clean. I would absolutely recommend going there to look for a dress. I truly believe it was meant to be and I got an even more incredible dress that I don't regret for one minute, I loved wearing this dress!!!

I was very pleased with my experience with Bijou Bridal. After shopping in NYC, where all of the dresses I liked were in the $5000-$6000 range, it was a pleasure to go to Bijou Bridal, where the dresses were in the $2000-$4000 range-- but looked just as good! And even better... no sales tax!

The selection at the store is great, and well displayed. It's a spacious and comfortable store, and browsing is a relaxing and pleasant experience. There are mother-of-the-bride and bridesmaid dresses on the lower levels, and wedding dresses on the upper levels. The sales staff was friendly, not pushy and good at identifying a suitable style for my body type. Surprisingly, it wasn't what I had previously thought I wanted.

The best thing about this store is that they are well organized and run their business well. Everything came when they said it would, they communicated with me frequently, billed me accurately, etc... Given some of the horror stories I've heard about other places, I appreciated that about Bijou.

The alterations were mostly good- but I felt a little rushed during some of my alteration appointments. You really want to make sure it's right, so you should get to take as long as you want during those appointments!

Overall, very positive and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone shopping in the NY/NJ area!

My mother, mother-in-law, and I all found our dresses at Bijou and each of us was pleased with the selection, customer service, and alterations process. My only complaint about this place is that after your initial purchase, you can't make an appointment on the weekend. There are late appointmetns on weeknights though, so it wasn't too hard to make it work.

I would definately recommend Bijou Bridal to anyone looking for a dress. They were very helpful to me and all of my bridesmaids. They even helped me find a headpiece which had to be ordered.

This is an excellent shop with professional staff that are genuinely nice. They were really accommodating, even after we showed up 45 minutes late to one of my fittings! They already had all of my money but were still understanding. There dresses are beautiful too and they have a variety of styles.

I would highly recommend Bijou Bridal to any bride looking for her dress. I went to several other stores before I went to Bijou, and although my first sales rep was not overly friendly, their selection was by far the best, and every other person I dealt with was amazing! I absolutely love my dress, and the way it was altered. Their prices were very reasonable, and I even got a discount because they were running an end of the year promotion when I ordered it last December/January.
It came in faster than they had told me, and was everything I could have wanted. My alterations were done by Farzan (I'm not sure how to spell it) and she was great. She knew exactly what she was doing. Many of my friends told me that by the end of their weddings their dress was falling down because the alterations were not done well. My dress was perfect from the moment I put it on to the moment I took it off. It did not move at all. I also got my veil, and my head piece from Bijou which I was also very happy with.
My mother got her dress from Bijou as well and was just as pleased. They were extremely accomodaing. They found the dress in the color she wanted to show her exactly what it would look like so that she wasn't guessing up until the day it came in, and made her look beautiful. She wanted removable cap sleeves put on so that she could wear them in the church and take them off at the reception and they came out exactly as she had hoped.
Bijou always worked it so that my mother and I could do our fittings together as to minimize the number of trips we had to take to the store, and this was very helpful especially for the last two fittings which were closer to the wedding.
The only downside that I can say about my experiences at Bijou is that there were one or two saleswomen that were not that friendly. It didn't matter to me because I always had my mother and sister-in-law with me to discuss the dress options and alterations, as well as to get excited about buying my wedding dress with, but it would have been nice if every sales woman was excited about selling you your wedding dress too! :)

Finding a dress at Bijou Bridal was such a wonderful event. I would highly recommend working with Catherine. She was patient, flexible, receptive to comments and opinions, and a wonderful asset in the planning experience. One word of wisdom. Do not attempt to try on a dress and simply look at accessories at the same time. You must make an "accessory appointment." In addition, buy your dress WAY in advance...my dress took an extra month to come in and I had 3 follow-up fittings. Please plan accordingly.

Bijou Bridals was the first bridal store I went to in search of my perfect gown. I thought that I would be searching for some time for the dress and going from bridal store to bridal store. That was not the case! After trying on a few bad choices on my part, I tried a dress on that really did not impress me on the hanger, but once on I had found my dress. On the first day of looking I had found that perfect gown, headpiece and veil. The entire staff was wonderful and worked with me to get that perfect fit.

Not only did I find my gown there, but also my mother's and my bridal party. My mother just fell in love with her gown as soon as she saw it on the hanger and after the fittings were done, she looked lovely at my wedding. My bridal party (small that it was - maid of honor and one bridesmaid) loved their gowns to. I let them pick out the two different dress styles, they picked the color and it all just fell into place.

Everyone looked beautiful at the wedding. I will recommend Bijou Bridals to anyone looking for that perfect gown for their special day.

I bought my wedding gown at Bijou and i was very happy with the quality and service they provided. My consultant was a woman named Stephanie who i found out has moved and is no longer there, but if she was, i would recommend any new bride to her. She made my experience awesome. She had me try on many different dresses to see what style i liked best, and she didn't care how long it took. When i was down to my 2 final dresses, she wrote down the websites, told me to look at them online on other girls and then make another appt after a week, come back and try them on again so i could think about it. When i came back and tried them both on, i asked her opinion. She told me honestly she thought one looked a lot better on me than the other and i knew she was being honest with me because both dresses cost the same amount so she wasn't trying to get me to buy a more expensive dress. After i purchased the dress i also bought my veil and headpiece from the place. Stephanie matched everything perfectly. She also recommended sleeves for me because i wanted them, and got the best ones to match with out me even having to ask. The fitting went well, and when i went to pick up my dress before the wedding they had it packaged beautifully and even brought it to my car for me. I recommend this place for any new bride!

I would estimate that the bulk of their dresses were strapless and satin. Wide selection; however, I wanted a lace dress with sleeves (straps). My dress was the fourth one I tried on - our saleswoman was super helpful and accommodating!

I went here yesterday with my sister to look for her wedding dress. Our salesperson was SO unhelpful and unenthusiastic about her job. She gave us NO help, besides clipping my sister in her dress. You would think when someone tells you they have no budget for a dress you would be eager to help and make a sale...instead this girl was nasty and acted as if we were inconviencing her.
We found a dress she loved, but will buy it elsewhere due to the nasty sales help!

The girls at Bijou were very help all along the way, from the bridal gown to the bridesmaid dresses. The dresses were great, the sales girls were great, however the seamstress could have been better with how much we paid for alterations. But overall experience was excellent!

I did not purchase my wedding dress from Bijou, only my bridesdmaids dresses. After much searching, I found Bijour to have the largest selection of samples. They also carried a nice range of sizes, not just 3s and 5s, for my girls to try on. For the designer I chose, Bill Levkoff, they had the widest selection in the area. They also had the exact shade of wine I was looking for (euro wine) so I got to see it in person. (DONT RELY ON COLORS ONLINE!). They also have in-house seamstresses (price not included) who are pretty flexible just dont know if all are very reliable. For instance, for those girls who lived out of state and called in their measurements, the staff ordered dresses much too big. This is probably not the staffs fault. They indicated they relied on the designer's size charts. My only complaint is with the seamstress (name unknown) who fit my junior brides. Dont know what happened but after three failed fittings their dresses had to be taken apart completely only one week before the wedding. to their credit, they pulled it off and at the end of the day, all of my bridesmaids looked beautiful and their dresses fit perfectly.

Felt like a princess just going to them! Excellent location and beautiful array of dresses. Truly top notch. Never thought in a million years I could find something I could afford and yet they have a wide array of dresses that fit my price range! The service is impeccable. Can't say enough about them. The only downfall is that their seamstress only works during weekdays (was a tough thing for me to learn, after I signed the bill, given I don't live nearby). Otherwise they were worlds above any other dress store at basically the same price. Got my dress and my bridesmaid, they kept everything organized.

I highly recommend Bijou for your bridal gown. The employees are extremely accomodating. I was just driving by one day with my mom and my sister and we decided to stop in since I just recently got engaged. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on. I also bought all of my accessories there! I could not have been happier with the dress and also the help I received from Bijou Bridal. The fittings were easy and the seamstress was amazing. I wanted my strapless dress to have be a sweetheart and it was just straight across the chest, so they were able to make it into a sweetheart for me. Even after you are married, they send you a discount to have your dress preserved. I couldn't have asked for a better bridal store!

I bought the most beautiful dress here. This boutique has so many style dresses to choose from and the stage with mirrors makes trying on the dresses an experience in itself. I highly recommend you go here with your mom & family...they can sit on the couch as you model dresses on the stage. It was a lot of fun and my dress was the 5th one I tried on. I LOVE my dress!

I LOVE BIJOU! The girls that work there are so sweet and friendly! I worked most with Cathy although I had the pleasure of working with some of the other young ladies! They were not pushy, from my very first appointment, almost a year from my wedding date, they treated me like a princess. They were never snooty or made me feel uncomfortable! I purchased my wedding dress along with my veil and bridesmaids dresses there, also am having my dress cleaned and preserved by them as well. I tried on at least 6 dresses but the one that i had eyed for several months and also the first dress i tried on was the one i went with!

Bijou is a great place to go!!! Their prices are reasonable, they go above and beyond for their customers and I just love the girls who work there. I have a hectic work schedule and they worked with me!!! I would recommend visiting this place at least once! From the moment you walk in the door to your last visit, they really knew how to treat a bride. The lady who altered my dress was pheonomenal and they even did something special for me when i came for the last time to pick up my dress!
