Bill helped make everything so easy! Not only did he help with the music but he helped me with many other aspects for our wedding. We had a couple last minute changes due to weather and Bill didn't have a problem switching from one plan to another. He knew when to play slow, fast, group songs. Bill was great!!! He is very personable and listened to all of our requests. We had a lot of odd songs and requests and he played ALL of them. Everyone loved the music and how personal he was the whole night. Best DJ I have heard in a long, long time!

My husband and I were just married a month ago and were lucky enough to find Bill. Wow doesn't even begin to describe him. He was so in tune with us which helped make our night as spectacular as it was, seriously! We do not live in the area that we got married so finding the right vendors was a challenge and we definitely met our share of super strange DJs and others that just didn't get it. Bill is just the opposite - the perfect fit for any wedding. He's got such a fantastic personality too that really captivates the audience. Let's not forget about how responsive he is as well - day or night I would email random questions and literally within 10 minutes I would have a response....even after 11pm! He's 110% professional, organized, responsive, and in tune with his clients. Bill was recommended to us and I will in turn recommend Bill to any friend or stranger for any event they have coming up. Having Mr. Scheivert DJ our wedding ceremony and reception on 8/13/11 was a pleasure and an honor. He came recommended through our venue and another DJ, and we couldn't have been happier. I understand why everyone who has worked with him has been satisfied! I've never even attended another wedding other than our own, so I was clueless....he kept everything going without a single hiccup!!! He had no real timeline or instructions from us and knew exactly what to do and when. We will book him for future events and would recommend him without hesitation!!!!

Bill did an excellent job at our wedding this past July 2011. He had a lot of energy and enthusiasm. He rembered to play all the songs we wanted and to make all the special requests to our friends and family members. He was prompt, professional, and very easy-going. He was great! Kept the energy up! No one sat down after dinner which is exactly what my husband and I wanted! We didn't need to give Bill a playlist either! I told him up-beat new songs, with a little bit of fun oldies and that is exactly what he did! Amazing Job!!

I had the task of obtaining a DJ for my son's out-of-town wedding. This was going to be difficult as I was not familiar with any DJ's in the PA area. I started looking at the profiles on Wedding Wire. Something about Bill's really gave me the sense that with his years of experience and his knowing how important it is for the bride and groom that the wedding be "their way", that Bill was the DJ for their reception. From the first contact I had with Bill, I was impressed. He instantly responded to all our inquiries and answered all our questions. He was flexible with his schedule and the timeline and his extensive song library provided on his web site were extremely helpful. We remained in contact during the couple months before the wedding and we were totally confident that everything woud be perfect and it was. I would highly recommend Bill for any occasion requiring a DJ. There was a period of time before the arrival of the bridal party to the reception and Bill kept the reception going for us. He definetly made my son's wedding reception memorable. It was a pleasure working with Bill and if we should need DJ services again while in that area, we will definetly call Bill. If you are looking for a professional DJ to meet all your expectations, you will not be disappointed.

Our DJ, Bill Schievert, was awesome. He arrived before the wedding (I don't know how much before the wedding, since I was occupied). His skill was especially evident when it came time for the recessional: we turned around to leave the chuppah and the ceremony area, and immediately we heard our recessional music, the Star Wars Theme. It was perfect. At the cocktail hour, he played the music we wanted, and at the reception, he was not intrusive, but made all the requisite announcements. He played the music we requested in a configuration that made sense (we did not specify an order), ie, the jazzy songs together. When it came time for dancing, he played songs similar to the ones we had chosen - songs I hadn't thought of, but liked. None of our music was "top 40," but he seemed to think it was easy to get. We were very pleased with Bill Scheivert, and we recommend him for other couples.

Bill Scheivert did an amazing job DJing our wedding reception!! All of our guests had a great time. We wanted a more eclectic mix of music for the cocktail hour/dinner, and he played all of the songs we requested. The whole night went so smoothly, and the dance floor was never empty. Bill DJ'd our wedding this past weekend and he was fabulous. He played all of the songs we requested to be played and he didn't play any song that was on the Do Not Play list. He had the crowd up and dancing the whole evening and he played requests made by us or our guests. I'm so glad we found Bill because he made our wedding truly memorable!

Bill was recommended to me and my husband Geoff by the manager at The Executive where we got married and had our reception. Bill was very easy to work with. Most of our interactions were over the phone or through US Mail. This worked well as my husband and I live in MD. His play list was varied which was nice because we had guests ranging in age from 18 to 75. We were able to make special requests too. Everything went smoothly at the reception. Bill and the photographer and the manager had worked out a schedule, so all Geoff and I had to do was listen for directions. I would definitely recommend Bill Scheivert as a DJ for any occasion.

Bill was instrumental in making my son's wedding a huge success. Dance floor stayed full almost all the time. He gets everything lined up ahead of time so there is no room for mistakes. Play lists, don't play lists, songs for cake cutting, garter throwing, birthdays, anniversaries -- special songs --names and order of announcements for the wedding party -- he got them all and he got them right and he helped keep us straight. Prevented me from having wrong song for mother/son dance by double checking name of song against track number. Kept the volume even while dancing at a level people at tables could talk above. Great, great, great -- can't say enough good things about Bill.

Bill was outstanding. He played all the songs on my playlist (which was a lot!!) and he added just the right amount of slow songs. The dance floor stayed full all night and everyone raved about how much fun they had! He answered all of my questions and even took the time to get my specifically edited song on to a CD for me so I didn't have to worry about it because I had so much else going on.

Having been a DJ in a previous life, I know a good one when I see one, and Bill convinced me from my first meeting with him that he was a good one. I had every confidence in him when I hired him, and he certainly came through on everything that was asked of him! His prices are more than reasonable, and he's not a typical predatory wedding vendor that throws in hidden charges at the last minute. The bill was what the contract said it would be! As far as the music selection is concerned, he was extremely receptive to what we wanted, he played what we asked him to play, and he observed the do not play list. His own DJing and musical instincts helped him keep the dance floor packed. He made great musical choices beyond what was asked of him, and we received many compliments on how eclectic the selection was, from rap to pop to Jewish hora music (which my family was thrilled to hear!). I danced my behind off, as did the rest of my guests!

I would recommend Bill's services any day anytime to anybody. He was a pleasure to work with, and I hope to do so again when the opportunity presents itself!

Bill provided his services for our July 4th wedding this summer, and we couldn't have been happier. We worked with Bill over the phone from day 1, him being in Pennsylania and my husband and I living in Virginia. Some thought we were crazy by not getting the chance to make the 3 hour trip to meet with him, but we were confident after our first conversation with him. Not only was Bill extremely reliable, returned every phone call, every email and answered a gazillion questions, but he also was sure to put in his professional expertise. My husband and I had a long list of songs that we both wanted to hear, but were a bit skeptical on how some of them would keep the dance floor full. Bill is very nice. Great at taking peoples request and honoring the do not play list, but I did not hear half of the songs I requested to have played and dinner music was played for longer than I had expected. Best price I found anywhere else!

His dinner music was at a perfect volume for people to talk and then when the dance floor was opened up, he played great music to keep people dancing all night. Some DJ's are strict about not letting anyone take the microphone, but Bill was open to letting my brother make a speech (even though it was unplanned) and that meant alot to my brother to be able to do that. Bill was great to work with. As soon as we sent an email we had really speedy replies. The day of our wedding my husband was very nervous all of our vendors would show up and work out, so when he asked if anyone knew if the DJ had showed up he was completely at ease when told he had been there for a while. Bill was an excellent fit for our wedding reception. He was extremely flexible with us when it came to cost (I had just graduated from graduate school!) and working with a musician. He was friendly and fun, making sure that everyone had a great time on the dance floor! Our only small problem was that he played a couple of very cheesy songs during dinner (i.e. My Heart Will Go On and the like), which was not our style.

Even though when we had first begun communicating with him we had requested that no slow dance songs would be played, the three or so that he did play was a good decision on his part and we did appreciate his input. Overall, he is fantastic to work with and easy going. We would highly recommend him for your wedding reception! :)

Bill was overall a great DJ to work with. He really reached out and tried to help with any concerns about the wedding music. He did a really good job with the music for the reception also (minus one song that I was really annoyed by).
There were a few hitches however... he played one song (maybe more since I couldn't always hear them) twice: a well known song too. He didn't play a song that I put on the "Please Play" list, and I was pretty disappointed when I realized that. He played straight through the CDs I gave for our specific music which is the opposite of what we asked and when the CD ended, the music was just softened and I couldn't even hear what was playing...
He really did care to try to find out what we wanted though. I suppose I didn't make myself as clear as I could have, and I gave too many instructions. It became really disappointing when I thought about the mess ups, but overall I don't think the guests noticed as much as I did.

We used Bill Scheivert for our New Year's eve wedding, and were overall very happy with his services. His pricing was extremely reasonable, and unlike most everyone else, he did not jack up his prices because it was a holiday. He has a great website with a selection of his music on it (though he has much more than what's on the website), and was very open to any suggestions we might have. Our only complaints are that he didn't play all the songs on our must-play list and that he had to be reminded to make a few of the announcements we wanted him to make. These problems probably could have been solved with more/better communication beforehand, which is partly our fault-- we didn't know what we were doing since we'd never hired a DJ before, but some more guidance/questions from him about how we wanted things to be run would have been useful. He's very laid-back, but maybe a bit too much for us! He did have a great lead-up to new year's, though, and people were on the dance floor all night long, so he made it a great party and we were really happy overall!

He did a nice job and got through a lot of tough name pronounciations. People were dancing and he did very well with requests. There was a little mix up with the entrance music for the bridal party at the reception and with the timing for starting and stopping the music for our first dance. The first one may have been down to not understanding a more obscure song and the second one I'll attribute to my not communicating clearly. Lessons Learned: If you pick an obscure song, send a YouTube clip so you're on the same page and if you have an extremely tolerant husband who takes ballroom dance lessons with you, make sure that you very clearly describe how and when you want the music to start.

Overall though, we were pleased :o)

Let me first start out by saying that everyone at my wedding at a great time

but I Honestly was NOT pleased with this DJ for the following reasons:

Most importantly I, the Bride, walked over to him and asked for Country music to be played which he NEGLECTED to do which was very disappointing since I was the one paying the bill- which is the reason i rated him a 2 for quality of service and a "0" for responsiveness the MOST IMPORTANT person that day who was ALSO paying you requests SHOULD have been met NO exceptions

other then this he was very good with last minute changes and add on's and like i said everyone BUT MY HUSBAND AND I was pleased with him

I have worked with Bill for the last 25 years+. He continues to be a great Disc Jockey specializing in the clients needs and is very reasonably priced.

As a wedding photographer I hear a lot of dj's, and it is always a pleasant surprise to work an event with Bill. He really gives each event it's own personality, so I know that he listens to his clients needs. Also, he keeps the dance floor packed so I can grab great candid pictures throughout the night!

We have worked with many different disc jockey's and can defiantly say that Bill Scheivert is our favorite to work with. We look forward to events that he will be DJing because we know that not only will the crowd be having a good time, but we can look forward to good music, and a very up beat night. He is very good at getting the guests out of their seats to dance and join in on having fun. Guests are never just sitting in their chairs talking when everyone else is out on the dance floor. We rarely see guests leave early from weddings that Bill is DJing. We highly recommend Bill Scheivert Disc Jockey to everyone who asks what DJ to use. You can expect to have the best reception possible.

We worked with Bill at the Waterfall Banquet Center for a wedding in late August. He was pleasure to work with, making sure the Photographer and I both knew what was going on and were present for all the important moments. Bill and I did a weddding together on Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Kings Mills Banquet Facility in Aston, Pa, and he was great. When I informed him that my clients were a very conservative couple and were specific about the atmosphere of their reception, Bill used his many years of experience and played just the right mixture and variety of music that pleased a crowd of many different age groups.
