Being a South Florida local, I've always been in love with the Biltmore. Sadly though, their customer service is lacking *at best*. We made multiple attempts to get information from the catering dept and unfortunately found them very unhelpful. The concierge was not much better. Finally we decided to stop by the property and hopefully get a little more service. We were told to go home and make an appointment. You'd think at minimums of $35,000, they'd be a little more customer serivce oriented. Its a beautiful location but it wasn't beautiful enough to ignore the horrible treatment we recieved. After all, if they treat you (ya know, the ones spending tens of thousands of dollars with them) in such a horrible manner, how will they be treating your guests?
Beautiful location, HORRIBLE customer service. My FI and I honestly could not believe the manner in which we were treated. If you are going to spend that much money, there are MANY other venues in the Miami area that treat you like royalty instead of just another wedding on their schedule!
We didn't really want to travel far in Florida for our honeymoon (I don't like to go too far without my kids for a long time), so when hubby suggested the Bilmore in Miami for our honeymoon, I was game! I love that hotel, and it was just perfect for us to enjoy being newlyweds!
My husband and I first met each other at the Biltmore when we were both staying there for our friends who had their bachelor/bachelorette parties that time. It was only fitting that we would get married where it all started. The Biltmore is so beautiful and grand, and very pricey (well, at least for the package we selected), but we felt that it was well-worth it. Our ceremony was in the evening in the courtyard, and it was just absolutely amazing. Our reception was indoors, and that was just as beautiful and perfect as well. The only "issues" that we had was that the food wasn't exactly what we tried during our tasting, but it as still very yummy. A few of our guests also did complain that their service was a little on the slow side, and when one of my bridesmaids asked their Banquet Captain a question she said that he was quite rude to her. But everything else was just perfect. I was able to enjoy their spa before our wedding, and we got a huge and beautiful bridal suite for our wedding night!
