The invitations worked out great. We had a short list from the websites of Birchcraft and Carlsons. Only draw back was, that nothing was sorted and it took a while to find the cards in all those huge folders. Some of them we did not get to see at all. But we ended up with great invitations and a great value. The staff was very patient when we changed colors back and forth and arranged for the European guest to be measured only 5 days before the wedding and still have a well fitted tuxedo for the wedding. After all the measuring 1 person's pants and sleeves were about 3 inches long and the alterations took were long while we were just sitting there running late for rehearsal. But all worked out at the end.

We liked working with Black Tie Formal Wear. We created our own pocket invitations and they looked great! It was an awesome value. When we first picked up our invitations the Map for someone else's wedding but they quickly fixed the mistake.

The guys at black tie are great because of the low prices and there service quality. The workers are nice and friendly and know what looks good and what does not. I reccomend this company to people who want all of these best qualitys of a good looking fitted tux.

Do not use Black Tie Formal Wear for your tuxes. The service was awful-our friends and family were treated horribly by the people working there. They acted as if our party was inconveniencing them. We also received the wrong attire for the wedding. All the groomsmen got the wrong color tie. Then, our ring bearers (4 of them) all got different colored vests. Luckily, we figured this out before the wedding, but when we asked them to get us the right one, they said they didn't have it and we'd have to deal with something else. Our experience was just horrible with Black Tie.

We visited Black Tie and were impressed by the service off the bat. We heard of so many issues with Men's Warehouse that we just wanted to go a different route. I originally met them at a bridal show and booked an appointment to utilize a discount from the show. I believe it was a free tux for every 6 or something along those lines. H chose the most expensive tuxes-a new Calvin Klein design and the price was still only about $130ish I believe. There were no mistakes with orders and everyone looked fab!

Black Tie was a very good value for the money we spent. They took the time to alter, change and make sure that all nine of our tuxedos were 100%. As with all rental clothes there were some scratches on the shoes and a couple loose threads. Nothing that couldn't be buffed or snipped off. Maureen is the most patient person to deal with. My bride was on a wild goose chase to find the matching color dress for the vests. Maureen helped her every step of the way. We ordered our invitations with Maureen as well and she had lots of advice on the proper etiquette and what was needed and what wasn't. We highly recommend them for Tuxedos and Invitations.

Black Tie was very accomodating to our out of town guests. My husband does not have an average upper body and they were willing to alter the jacket in order for him to look his best; other places were not willing to do this. They are reasonably priced and offer good products. We got 11 tuxes and everyone's fit perfectly. The only thing I would watch out for is that some people's cuff links were missing. This wasn't that big of a deal because other guys got extra so it worked out in the end however I would count them before you leave the store.

We got our tuxes from here because the invitations were 50% if you bought your tuxes from them. We had to go several times to get our invitations. I felt rushed the first couple times we went there to look at invites. They were not very helpful until you actually picked out your invites. Once we picked out invites the lady, Maureen was very helpful and patience. The invitations came is REALLY fast which was nice considering we had to redo our invites becaue my original banquet hall burnt down. There are only certain days and times you could make appts to order invitations. They were not very convenient. As far as the tuxes go, they looked very nice on the guys. I guess some the tuxes were the wrong sizes when they guys picked them up. They did fix them the best they good but gave the guys some grief about it. Overall it was very reasonably priced and worth the money.

I was disappointed that Black tie had messed up on our order almost 5 times (and 3 people were missing things or wrong sizes till the day before the wedding)... They confused members of the bridal party (almost gave my father the same tux as the groomsmen....) and put my mothers boyfriend as my father in the father of the bride tux twice. FINALLY getting it fixed and worked out... everything looked beautiful when finished. Not bad over all just keep an eye on names, color and sizes... pick up the tuxes 2 days before the wedding and make sure it all fits before going home!!!!

Black Tie was very acocomodating to our timeline, however they did not stand out from other vendors very much.

My husband and I attend a black tie charity event each year. So when we were considering tuxedos for our wedding, the sales staff at Black Tie Formalwear recommended that he just purchase a tuxedo for $300, instead of renting one each year, plus one for the wedding. The staff was very helpful, and made the process very easy for us concerning our out of town groomsmen. They offered helpful ideas when it came to matching wardrobe with my gown. They also gave us a nice price break on the children’s tuxedos- they were only $50, other places were charging the full amount for children’s tuxedos. Because my husband purchased his tux, all the groomsmen received 20% off their rentals, so the rentals ended up costing about $100 per person. We also ordered our invitations through Black Tie, but unfortunately and fortunately the invitations came in the wrong font. It wasn't necessarily Black Tie's fault, but more so the printer's error. It ended up working out fine, however, because the wrong font was much smaller than the one we had originally ordered. This left an excess amount of space on the invitation. My sister embossed each invitation where there was space, and it ended up looking more beautiful than what we had ordered.

Our tuxedos were rented from Black Tie Formalwear in the House of Brides wedding mall. We were able to match the tuxedo accessories with the color of my bridesmaid gowns easily, since we selected our bridesmaid's gowns from the House of Brides. We also selected our Honeymoon package through Black Tie Formalwear. We received roundtrip airfare free, which was a great deal! The tuxedos themselves were perfect the day of the wedding and the pick up and drop off times were reasonable. The store is small, so there were some periods of waiting when we stopped in, but the customer service was worth the wait. Additionally, we ordered our invitations through Black Tie. Because we did so many of our services through them, I believe we received the invitations for about 50% off.

We found a good selection and friendly employees at Black Tie Formalwear. However, we had a size mix-up for one of our orders. It was corrected, but we had to make an extra trip to the store to pick up the corrected item.

Apparently you have to make an appointment to select your invitations and there was never anyone to really help us. We ordered the invitations for the wedding in a rush and I made an error on the addresses - they were able to fix the reception hall card and only a small additional charge, but were not able to do the same with the rest of the invitation. So I used them as is....with the wrong addy of the church....but thankfully noone noticed and due to my explicit directions...everyone got there fine....well almost everyone (apparently my brother-in-law who was driving my mother who had the programs forgot to take the direction card with and so they got lost and ran late arriving just seconds before the ceremony had to start). However the paper quality and design were great. I just wish they offered a bit more variety in the color choices. They only had a select few invitations that I considered beautiful...some were way out of our price range...and this one was on the expensive side too. We also ordered our shower invites through them and those were georgous!
