Being my first professional photography experience, I don't have anything to compare my experience with, but have been very happy.

I planned my wedding in two weeks from California! And was when the only person not on Hawaii time was Blenda. She answered the phone when I called, helped me find an awesome officiant (my first choice turned out to be a nightmare), helped me find a location (awesome)...and was flexible with her time. She was very professional!

She wants to know about you and your story...and puts her heart into her work. When I learned about her background and training, I was impressed...and I would call myself a tough customer. We happened to hit it off, credit to her warm personality; I hope Blenda will be a friend for life. I fell lucky to be connected to Blenda through this experience.

Regarding the work: she put together a very creative portfolio. Many of the photos did not need retouching, editing, or effects for them to be awesome as they are. I had a hard time when it came down to choosing 50 photos for her to edit. When I posted them to Facebook, I got lots of great comments back.

I would book Blenda early as I know she books up. Aloha.

If I can give Blenda more than five stars I would! She was highly recommended to us by a friend and I immediately, absolutely loved her work. She is an amazing photographer and person as well! From our first email to our phone conversations, I felt like I was talking to a longtime friend, she truly made me feel at ease. She has a great soul and infectious smile. Working with her has been a pleasure, she took her time with us and even showed us some of her shots as she took them. Our entire family kept talking about how detailed she was. my husband and I feel truly blessed to have had Blenda. We highly recommend her and plan to use her again in the future..maybe for baby portraits??!

Blenda's work is amazing. We are from the mainland and specifically chose to have our vow renewal in Kauai, so we could have Blenda as our photographer. She has a great eye for photos and was a joy to work with. The finished product is absolutely stunning and of the highest quality. Pricing was comprable to other photographers, but the photos are superior by far. We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Blenda and would hire her again in an instant!

My parents gave us a photo shoot with Blenda as an engagement gift. Neither my husband nor I had ever met her, & my husband wasn't excited by the prospect of getting professional photos taken. Blenda had great ideas and inspiration for the location, props & theme of the shoot, & worked with our difficult schedules to find the perfect day.

Our engagement shoot was fanastic. Blenda immediately put us both at ease & with her encouragement and direction the process quickly became natural and very enjoyable. By the end of the day my husband admitted that he had actually had fun & we both agreed that there was no one else we'd rather have capture our wedding than Blenda.

When the wedding weekend arrived, Blenda & Raymond were on time, inconspicuous (our guests barely noticed them!), so friendly toward our guests and vendors, & flexible (important as anyone who's gotten married knows plans can change quickly!). They seamlessly & efficiently organized all of the group shots we wanted, & beautifully captured every single moment we could have wished for, & so many more that we never would have thought of but are so grateful to have.

Our photos - every last one of them - are absolutely stunning. Blenda captured the spirit, love and happiness of our engagement & wedding more beautifully than we ever could have imagined. We'll always cherish the memories from these most amazing & perfect occasions in our life, & look forward to having Blenda help us to capture all of our future, happy life moments. Blenda was our wedding photographer and did an incredible job, far exceeding our expectations. Right from our first interaction she was very warm and professional. We live in California and traveled to Hawaii for our wedding, Blenda took a lot of time to connect with us by phone and email to get to know us before we met in person for the first time. When we did meet in person, Blenda felt like an old friend and we immediately felt comfortable in her presence. This proved to be so important given that she was responsible for photographing one of our most important and intimate days. We felt completely at ease. She provided great tips and direction in advance of our ceremony to ensure we got the photos we were hoping for. Our photos were delivered within the agreed upon timeline and Blenda even provided some photos in advance so that we could share them with our families at a party. The quality of her photographs was incredible - we were extremely pleased.
Beyond her work, Blenda also provided numerous recommendations for locations, vendors, restaurants etc. which were all very helpful as we were planning our wedding.
Blenda is a true gem. Her passion for what she does and her kind, warm energy shine through in the best way. We feel so fortunate to have found Blenda and our experience working with her is something we will treasure.

I have to say planning a wedding in another state was a bit stressful, especially since I was really particular about having a great photographer. I honestly feel like Blenda went above and beyond to ensure that my wedding photos were exceptional....She had scouted locations for me and came up with several ideas that were so creative and fabulous. She listened to everything I wanted and went out of her way to make sure that she got incredible shots. To this day, I still have people comment on all my wedding photos telling me that they are the best they have seen. Being a photographer myself, I completely agree and could not have been any happier with her services. Not to mention, she and her husband are absolutely wonderful people..kind and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable! My entire bridal party still raves about how much they adored my photographer not to mention her rates are incredible for how above and beyond she goes for her clients. You will not be disappointed with her!

My husband and I were blindly planning our wedding (with no friends or family) from Chicago. We had never been to Hawaii and had to make all of our decisions based on the information we found on the internet. We looked on www.yelp.com and found wonderful reviews of Blenda. When I looked on her website www.blendamontoro.com I was blown away by her creativity and uniqueness. As I watched the brief video and learned about her background on her website, I began to see this beautiful, sweet, friendly, creative, and genuine person. This is no act, as she is even more phenomenal in-person. From the first time I spoke with her I knew she was the one for me. NOT ONCE DID I REGRET MY DECISION THAT I CHOSE BLENDA AS MY PHOTOGRAPHER!

Blenda is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. She was my maid of honor and photographer rolled into one. She offered to help me in every way possible. She was reliable, dependable, and hospitable. She takes the time to get to know each one of her clients, so she can capture those unique qualities of your relationship in her photography. With Blenda, she will make you feel truly unique and special on your wedding day. I spoke with her numerous times on the phone, through email, and over Skype and I knew I could trust her without having ever met her.

My wedding was the most enchanting day of my life. From the very second Blenda arrived, she brought such energy, such personality, such excitement. I immediately felt at peace knowing she was there. My husband, who can be a shy person, also felt at ease. Blenda allowed both of us to feel comfortable expressing our love and affection to each other, and consequently our pictures turned out more beautiful than I ever would have imagined. Our wedding would not have been the same without Blenda present. I can say with great certainty that you will not regret choosing Blenda as your photographer.

Blenda immediately picks up on each couple's unique energy and vision, and delivers exactly what you want. I do believe that there are people out there who find it a completely natural and enjoyable experience to cuddle and kiss all over lava rock while someone takes pictures of them. My husband and I are not those people :) And so, Blenda laughed with us, made us feel comfortable with her pleasant and laid-back nature, and quickly realized that we needed her to tell us exactly what to do! (ie. but what do I do with my hands??) She produced beautiful pictures ahead of deadline. Her composition, lighting, and editing are beautiful. No matter your vision for your pictures (or lack thereof!) Blenda will take care of you!!! I would recommend her to anyone.

We planned our small Kauai wedding from Southern California and were referred to Blenda Montoro Photography by a friend local to the island. Blenda did an absolutely amazing job shooting our wedding in Kilauea. We had two photographers at our wedding and our only regret was that we didn't have Blenda around for more of the day taking more pictures - If I'd only known her talents! What a wonderful and warm person to have with us sharing a most special day. Her turnaround time was quick and our CD with the image files was lovely to receive in the mail. I've enjoyed following Blenda's photography of other people's special events because she really does capture people's special moments.
