I hired Rachel as my Wedding Coordinator and it was the best decision that I could have made. We had a destination wedding in San Diego with about 70 guests. Despite having chosen San Diego as the city for our wedding, we had never been to the fair city and had no contacts in the city at all. I hired Rachel based on online reviews, and I was not disappointed. Although I hired Rachel for "month-of" coordination, she was instrumental in providing advice from the very beginning (up to 6 months before). She always responded promptly to emails and phone calls and was at all times incredibly professional.
We relied on Rachel for all our vendor recommendations, and she did not disappoint. All of the vendors went above and beyond, just like Rachel. She was also very conscious of our budget and always had ideas for efficient ways of saving money, and often even offered to pick up, drop off or return items for us to avoid incurring additional fees. We really appreciated this.
On the day of our wedding, Rachel did a truly fantastic job. She had every little detail under control. I am a very organized person, and I thought I had covered most of the details, but Rachel was at a whole other level and anticipated everything for us. Our family and friends commented to us on what an amazing job she did, and we completely agree.

WOW. So much I have to say! First of all, Matt & I were the winners of "The Ultimate San Diego Wedding". We had NO idea what we were getting in to! In a little less than 2 months we had our Ultimate Dream come true... thanks to Rachel Welland. We had no worries as Rachel planned our wedding and dealt with all the vendors directly in such a professional (and personal) manner that this experience has been beyond belief. I had always wondered what it would be like to be a wedding planner.... SO MUCH work! Rachel had everything planned out to the "T".... a timeline for the whole wedding party to follow and the whole 9 yards. Let alone she was my "personal" savior the day of the wedding. Rachel, you know what I mean :) There are not words to describe how wonderful this whole expierence has been! Wishing you nothing but the best!

Hiring Rachel and Bliss Events was the best decision we did for our wedding. We hired her as a month of coordinator but she was extremely helpful long before the month of the wedding. She recommended wonderful vendors, which was very helpful because I didn't have to search through hundreds of vendors online and I wasn't blindly searching either. It is so helpful to know that someone has worked with them and they are reliable, professional, and a lot of times very cool and very fun.
Rachel took the reins for the last month of the wedding. She became the primary contact for all the vendors and would relay information to me as I would need it or ask me questions that I would need to answer. It was nice having one go to person so I didn't have to organize all the vendors. I would definitely recommend her if you are a disorganized person, as she would be very helpful in organizing you; but I almost would rather recommend her for organized, detail oriented people (like myself) as she will step in and let you relax and enjoy your wedding day. Our wedding day ran so smoothly from our and our guests point of view. If anything went wrong, we didn't hear about it. We had nothing but compliments on how nicely everything flowed and how beautiful everything was.
Rachel is superb at communication, she responds so quickly and efficiently to emails. She is very professional but at the same time very friendly and approachable and easy to work with. She is good at directing and taking control without being demanding. She is very organized, detail-oriented, very knowledgeable and gives great advice. Since most people have never planned a wedding before, it is good to have someone there who can answer any questions when it comes to etiquette, planning, order of events, vendors etc. We loved working with Rachel and her team and would do it all over again!!
Incredible! Staci was my planner (July 2010) and she was fabulous. Our work schedule is very hectic and Staci was very flexible with us. She helped as much or as little as we wanted. We had a lot of out-of-town guests and many moving parts to the wedding week. Staci was there for everything coordinating vendors, us, guests. She will give you advice on how to customize your wedding to what you want. We could not have done it without her.
A wedding planner is a must for your wedding if you want to stay sane! Bliss Events is the way to go. They are professional, they are experts, but more importantly they are personable and really fun to work with. Thank you Staci!

Rachel was SO together and organized, knew exactly what to suggest and advise through each step of the process. Her help and suggestions truly made my day even more spectacular! The price was more than reasonable for the difference she made in the ease and organization of our wedding. There is no question in my mind that brides should use Bliss Events for their wedding planning- I have gotten so many compliments on how organized and tightly-run the whole wedding was. She is involved in your decision making, is always available to you, and takes so much stress off of you so you really can enjoy your day. We had Rachel plus three of her assistants, and our day went off without a hitch! They were not "in the way" at all, but were everywhere at the same time! I would hire Rachel for any party, any wedding, any event that needed planning period! She was a friend, a huge help and, like I said before, truly a lifeline from the beginning of planning all the way through the end of the reception. I can't thank her or recommend her enough! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bliss Events - their vendor recommendations saved my wedding! I was "thisclose" to hiring a vendor that a friend used, but my gut told me to go with Rachel's recommendation instead.
