In hind sight, I do not know how I could have made it through my wedding planning process and wedding day without Bliss Weddings and Events!
Amanda helped me choose perfect details for my wedding that made it unique, special and most of all a total blast! One of the most important roles Amanda played was as the person who would rein me in when my ideas went a little too overboard! It was so wonderful to have that voice of reason to keep you focused and within budget! My wedding offered us a lot of interesting challenges, as it was an outdoor event in a garden, but Amanda knows her stuff and every detail was taken care of. In addition, Amanda has great relationships with some of the best vendors in the business! We were able to take advantage of those relationships and booked some amazing people to whom I am so thankful.
On the day of, Amanda made it a point to help us relish in the day - even shepherding us away from our adoring guests, immediately following our ceremony, giving us time to privately celebrate our first moments as man and wife.
I could not more highly recommend Bliss Weddings and Events!

I was an out of state bride and Bliss Weddings (Amanda) really helped me find vendors, get the contracts set, etc. She handled all my decor and it turned out great. The day of everything was so relaxed that my bridesmaids and I were actually waiting around for the ceremony to start! Amanda even offered to drive my husband and I back to the hotel from the reception. I highly rec. Bliss Weddings.

I was grateful to have an extra set of hands for the wedding day. It was nice that Amanda and her assistant stayed and cleaned up everything. It was just one less thing to worry about that day. Throughout the entire process I was disappointed with the communication I had with Amanda. I would sometimes not get a response for several days to a basic question. That being said once I spoke to her about the communication problem it did improve. I know that on a couple of occasions Amanda was unable to communicate with me due to extenuating circumstances. I do however think a basic out of office message would have sufficed and then I would have known there would be a delay in a response.
The day of I was also a little disappointed with some of the things that I think should have been handled by Bliss but were not. There were no major issues, just small things that I think could have been handled differently.

Amanda was great! We primarily hired her so that we had someone to decorate our hall, but she was very helpful with a number of other things. Although there were some significant issues with her e-mail leading up to the wedding (due to her internet provider) in the end everything worked out well. I have no idea what she did that day, but I am assuming a lot - the only thing that wasn't perfect on my wedding day was something I had forgotten to mention to her.

Amanda and Bliss Weddings are AWESOME! For what I paid, it was TOTALLY worth it! Bliss Weddings took care of all the details of my week/day and took a HUGE load off my mind and let me really enjoy the big day. Even my guests commented on what a great job they did!!

I had really high hopes for Amanda as my day of coordinator for my wedding. Upon meeting with her, I immediately felt at ease that she would be able to help both my parents and I enjoy the day and not have to worry about a thing. I couldn't have been more wrong. I think the opposite happened in fact. Most of it I did not find out until the next morning, but I knew some of it walking into our reception and to be honest, it got me really upset while eating dinner. My parents actually asked me if this was the first wedding they had ever coordinated.

We hired Bliss to do normal DOC things, contacting vendors prior to the wedding (I have been told by at least 2 that this never happened), helping with the rehersal, organizing the bridal party, ensuring everything was set up correctly at the reception, etc. Additionally, as part of my contract, they were to set up the candy buffet and pack up and take all of our glassware away from the reception at the end of the night so my parents did not have to. Those two contract specific things were not completed. They let my reception venue set up the candy buffet, even though that was not their job, I hired Bliss to do that, and my parents were there until 1:30AM cleaning up our glassware since Bliss was literally throwing things back into boxes with no rhyme or reason or ensuring nothing was left behind.

I was an extremely organized bride. Every box was labeled as to what was in it, so packing up should have been mindless. Additionally, I had very detailed inventory lists and documents that Amanda supposedly looked at before our wedding, but made a comment to my mom as she was packing things up that she "Had no idea she had this much stuff".

During "set-up" Amanda and her team did nothing but tie chair sashes on the chairs that slid down. There was a box that went missing during set-up and when my parents arrived to the reception, my coordinator at our venue asked if I had toasting flutes or a cake cutting set, as well as my cake topper. My mom asked Amanda where they were and she said to her "Amy must have left them in the car, they are not here." Which my mom pointed out that she was there unloading the cars with us and no boxes were left. I do not like to be blamed for someone else's shortcomings and if she would have looked at the inventory list, she would have known they were there. When I confronted Amanda about this, she said she never said that. I also don't appreciate my mom being called a liar.

Once the reception started is when I found out the venue set up the candy buffet, not Amanda, is when I really got annoyed. As I sat and watched our chair sashes fall down 45 minutes into the reception and wondering why they were not tied the way we asked them to be to avoid that, my MOH went over to Amanda to ask her to fix them and her response was "I am not doing that now, I am eating." and another response to our on-site person with the same request from Amanda "I am not fixing 180 chair sashes."

When I met with Amanda post wedding to discuss all of this and more, she had an answer and excuse for everything. Do I believe her? Not really. She accused our venue of personally attacking her by them telling me things that happened. She blamed them for the lack of set-up on their end because my venue is "too controlling" and if they didn't do it their way, it would have been very bad for Bliss. Okie dokie. Thank god they were controlling, otherwise who knows what would have happened. she was supposed to follow-up with them to clear this up, but as far as I know, to this date, that has not happened. Which speaks volumes to me. I am just glad I had such an amazing reception venue to pick up the slack as well as my parents. I really don't know why my parents, MOH and reception venue would have to gain about supposedly "lying" to me about what happened. They are my parents, best friend and someone who already had our gratuity. If anything, the venue wants a good relationship with the DOC for future weddings.

I did receive a partial refund, but I still wish I never would have hired her. The stress I felt the morning after knowing what happened, knowing my parents were there until 1:30 helping to ensure my stuff was not broken or lost made me sick to my stomach. I found out so many more details when I got back from my honeymoon that really made me so much more angry, I am glad I didn't know those until I was back.

I felt like she talks a very good game, but falls way short on follow-up and execution. Her communication prior to the wedding left much to be desired. I had a few emails that went completely unanswered so I just let them go. They were asking her opinion on things, which according to the contract, were supposed to be "unlimited". Well, there was a limit or someone just didn't feel like responding. I have heard similar stories on communication from other brides, so I know it just wasn't me. Buyer beware. There are much better DOCs out there.

Amanda and her team made sure I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of my wedding. Every meeting I had with her made me feel calmed in a very busy time. I recommend everyone hire a day of coordinator!

Very helpful and totally worth having for one of the most important days of your life! Amanda made our wedding planning much easier with her suggestions and experiece that helped us plan everything from the smallest details to the biggest parts of the wedding. And, on our wedding day, she did everything in her power to make it so easy on us and on our wedding party. I would strongly recommend having a planner for the wedding, or at least for the day of the wedding, but even more so, I would recommend Amanda and her staff since my personal experience with them was truly great.

Bliss weddings was absolutely amazing. Working with Amanda was so much fun yet we always got a lot done. She is very professional and always arives on time (a biggie for me).

I knew I could trust Amanda's wedding coordinating expertise, because she gives great advice, she listens, and most of all, she cares. She made my wedding day the happiest day of my life and showed me that dreams really do come true. She helped make my fairytale wedding become a reality...I felt like a princess. Because of her help, I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding. Amanda pays close attention to detail and is extremely organized. I would highly recommend her to any future bride and groom!

Amanda is phenominal. She was very helpful throughout the planning process and we know things wouldn't have been as smooth without her. We would recommend Bliss Weddings over and over again! Definitely money well spent!

Amanda was the best investment that I made for our wedding planning. My only complaint is that I did not seek her out to do a full service package and have her involved from the beginning. She was prompt and on top of things. She covered for a not-so stellar florist on the day of by fixing the arrangement of the centerpieces. She even assisted in being a neutral point of view when my husband and I had a few disagreements over some of the planning points. But most of all she assisted in helping to keep my sanity in tact!

Amanda was great to work with. Our wedding definitely wouldn't have been as perfect and beautiful without her. I would recommend Bliss Weddings to anyone getting married. She is a great resource to her clients. She helped organize our vendors, created a timeline and even fixed my maid of honor's shoe when the heel fell off!

Amanda was fantastic from the beginning, helping us to make sure that every detail of our day was perfect. Every time I had a question or problem, she was always there with a smile, ready to help. She helped to give us ideas and suggestions, and also helped to coordinate with all of our vendors and made sure that everything would run smoothly. It was especially helpful when we met with her two days before our wedding and went over every detail— we knew that we would be able to relax and actually enjoy our day knowing that Amanda was in charge! It was so reassuring to have her there on the day of our wedding. If there was any little problem that arose, she made sure it was taken care of right away. Our wedding party and family commented on how professional and courteous Amanda and Lindsey were as well. We were very impressed with the great job that they did.

Bliss Weddings went above and beyond to make our day perfect. So many of our family and friends have commented that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Because of the wonderful staff at the Atheneum and the help from Amanda and Lindsey, our wedding reception was beautiful and even better than we could have imagined! Amanda from Bliss Wedding's & Events is one of the hardest working planners that I know. She is constantly working on staying current with the latest trends in Weddings as well as spending any little free time she has keeping all of her favorite vendors in touch. She is a very calm and relaxed person which couldn't be more perfect for her line of work!
